She is so fast and professional. The parking is super easy, access to the highway is right there so you are not fighting city traffic. Snacks and beverages are graciously offered. I have been going to the always-welcoming Salon Mario Russo for many, many years, and it has been my special pleasure to get to know colorist Amanda J. and stylist Sal M. over that time. Both Amanda and Sal are gifted artists. Both have received well-deserved Boston Magazine Best of Boston awards. After a visit my hair always looks great thanks to these two talented professionals. What is more is that they are both very lovely people as are other team members at the salon. The new location at Park Plaza is charming and comfortable. I cannot recommend Salon Mario Russo highly enough.

Andrew has been an absolute superstar! I'm often looking to completely change my hairstyle and he's met those requests with excitement instead of apprehension. He's also done a great job with both hair transitions he's worked on with me! To be honest I can't afford his haircuts but I keep going to him because he's the only person in the city that I trust with non-standard hairstyles across the gender spectrum.
Edit: My last couple haircuts have been quite disappointing. I tried to convince myself the haircuts were okay. But the lines in my hair were uneven both times and I asked for layers both times and he cut my hair all to the same length both times. Since he didn't give me layers the first time, I asked him to cut my hair short if he needed to for layers the second time around. This time again he cut my hair all to one length, but this time shorter. I would trust him completely with masculine hairstyles but I don't think I'm ever going back for a hairstyle with any femme components. The last couple appointments also felt more rushed and like he didn't have the time or energy to spend on the haircut and just wanted it out of the way, so all in all, I'm probably on the lookout for a new hairstylist.. :(

I started to go to LAMS about a year ago now and have never loved a salon more! Grace Doncel helped me get my curls looking the best they have in years. The location is about a 10 minute walk from South Station and the salon itself is beautiful. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone if you are looking for a high-quality haircut.
As always, the hospitality at She is Sofie James is amazing. For years I’ve floated around to various salons, but I’ve finally found mine here. Amanda is always a pleasure and I always love my hair after my appointments with her. Everyone is so friendly and was so welcoming when I brought my dog, Gibson. He stole hearts and had a blast making new friends!

As for the haircut, I was skeptical at first when I left the salon and when I got home. But after a few days I came to the realization that Amad did me a great service. Originally, I wanted to go to Kailan but they didn’t take cash so I went to curl. I was skeptical at having to pay 50 bucks instead of $50 but it’s totally worth it. They gave me like a poncho to wear and wash my hair before and after the haircut and my Barber spoke English. He asked me what I wanted. I gave him a reference photo and he made a few revisions, ending with a nice cut and styling.
All of my friends gave me a compliment for my haircut and many of them said that “my barber did me right, which was the first time I’ve gotten that.

Two color ninjas!! I have received hair treatments from both Nikki and Lisa. Nikki is my go to. She is always guiding me and keeping my hair perfect and healthy! Lisa not only nailed my cut/color/balayage, she squeezed me in and nursed it back from big mistakes made by an hair student I tried to support. They pay close attention to how environmental factors wreak havoc on the threads and plan an approach accordingly. My hair has never looked & felt better, plus they are a great hang for the short time in the chair. (Meaning they are fun, but fast and efficient too!) You will share in many laughs and leave this salon feeling better all around.
I absolutely love my new extensions! Allana did the most amazing job - exceeded all expectations. I have always had thin hair and just wanted some additional volume. I don't know if I will ever not have Allana's extensions again. Life changing!

I am VERY particular about my sons cuts, their Barber is so patient with me lol most of all he cuts hair THE BEST ! This is one of those hidden gems, I don’t want them becoming gentrified so let’s keep it that way.
I see some comments that find reflect the way this shop is ran and Tony having worked there to owning it for 20+ years has been nothing but good service , respectful, sometimes as any shop mostly dominated by men the debates get animated at times . But more so I left always with and smile on my face as well as knowledge. What the man does for the community is amazing . I watched him take an unfortunate honor student on a shopping spree and pay for him to play football. As for the people with the bad comments I must stay it doesn't come from a good place because the 18yrs I've been going there never been any issues

Clean place, aesthetically pleasing and felt very sanitary. Did not feel super welcoming by staff. Girl that did my spray tan did not ask if was an appropriate darkness after she finished and it definitely was too light left feeling like barely noticeable. Wish next time they showed you the darkness and asked for feedback before finishing the tan. Overall would potentially try again and ask to go darker.

After reading the reviews for Salon V, I decided I would give it a try. I'm so glad I did! Khoi seems to understand that the goal to a successful business is to always please the customer. She notices the small things. For example, if you prefer not to do much talking and just want to relax and enjoy your Mani/Pedi, you don't have to tell her that, she picks up on it immediately and stops talking, and if you prefer to talk, she's up for that as well. She listens carefully and asks questions to make sure she understands exactly how you want your nails or feet to look. She takes pride in her work, so she does not rush through your appointment. Even though she is the only one currently working in the shop (which I actually prefer), she tries her best to accommodate your schedule. Can you tell I'll be a repeat customer (lol)

Kristen is my fav nail tech to go and see regularly. She is kind and so patient with every new design picture I come with or ideas I have for my nails. She does all the nail shapes oval , coffin, round , square perfectly. She is so detailed with every part of the design I want and like. She also recommends the best and new colors always when they are in at the salon for me which I love. I am always willing to add sparkle or chrome or even a matte top coat and Kristen makes my nails be even more fabulous then when I arrived. The new pedicure treatment is my favorite especially for being on my feet all day. From hot towels, to lotions and salt baths, she makes sure I’m relaxed and well cared for from the minute I walk in. I am moving to the West Roxbury area later this year and noticed TM Nails driving by one day. I figured I’d try them out to see if I can establish a new go-to salon and I am so grateful I did! Kendall was able to take me for a same-day appointment, which shocked me because that rarely happens at my current go-to. I got tips with dip powder with a nail art design I had been wanting for a long time. It was just me and her in the salon and we chatted the whole time. Kendall was not only super nice but also did an absolutely amazing job with my nails! She matched example I brought in exactly and was very patient while we made sure we got the right colors for the design. I suck at taking photos, but I couldn’t wait to take this one as soon as I got in my car. Their punchcard gets you $10 off after your fifth visit and I will 100% be going back again. Kendall is going to be my new go-to even before I move into the neighborhood!

Highly recommend seeing him. If you don't have anywhere to go, don't opt for the blowout- $85 is A LOT to just sit at home.

I’ve been a client of Stilisti for eight years now. My cuts and color are *consistently* gorgeous. Marisa (the owner) is my primary hairdresser, but I don’t hesitate for a moment to see another stylist (Ana) if the scheduling works out better. Marisa emphasizes training of everyone in the salon and her standards are high! Even the hair washes feel special; Darlyne, in particular, gives an awesome scalp massage. The salon uses Goldwell color, which is my favorite for my blonde hair and they do a beautiful job with dimension (base color with tons of high/low lights and also a really pretty Scandinavian blonde treatment around my hairline). Maybe best of all is that there is zero attitude at this salon, which is so refreshing (especially for Newbury Street). The prices are consistent with other downtown Boston/Back Bay salons (read “not cheap” :)) but 100% worth it, especially when I factor in how well my cuts grow out. If it weren’t for my fast-growing roots at age 48, I could definitively stretch the time between appointments; but - alas - I love how great I feel with consistently great hair, so I am on about an every 8 week schedule. Bottom line: highest marks for Stilisti ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've been going for facials with Karen for a while (which are the best and have helped my skin so much) so I tried a massage with Steven and I cannot recommend him enough. Went to their location on Essex st that offers massages . I was warmly greeted by the a nice lady at the front desk . I was in so much back pain and I wanted some relief. She suggested deep tissue massage. Mary my therapist was great! She went hard on my back but she kept checking with me all the time to make sure I can handle the pressure. I was very stiff and I really appreciate her pressure as my back felt so good right immediately . You can ask for milder massage or let her do her job she is a professional. I feel so good and I already scheduled my next massage. Definitely a monthly type of thing for me now.

Anne listened to my concerns, but I could also tell she was listening to my tissue and responding in the moment. This is not a cookie cutter treatment! Her work was specific and on target, and her depth was AMAZING. Very connected, and I felt restrictions in all layers of my muscle tissue release throughout the treatment. She is such a calming, peaceful presence, and clearly speaks the language of muscular release. Cannot recommend her enough, I will definitely be back and booking with Anne. This review is a long time coming. I came here during the summer for microblading with Kym. I had over tweezed my brows over the years and they looked too sparse and uneven for my liking. Kym took her time mapping out the shape and picked out the perfect color that matched my natural brows exactly. I was going for a natural look and Kym delivered. I really love the shape she gave me. So I went to see Carrisa for my first tattoo on Friday the 19th and wow was I impressed with her artwork. Maya is great for piercings! My best friend, partner and I all wanted to go in for different piercings, so I set up several appointments through the website. Maya was really thorough at walking us through the process, from helping us pick jewelry to explaining the aftercare. Maya was also just super friendly in general and even offered drinks and snacks while we were there, great customer service experience over all. I absolutely plan to come back for more piercings later!

Prompt, efficient and professional. National Grid change out my gas meter. In doing so they were unable to re light the pilot on the furnace. Technicians Paul and Mike arrived within a couple of hours. They replaced a part, re lit the pilot and tested the furnace to ensure it was operational. They were happy to explain everything to me and answer my questions. I had a great experience thanks to Paul and Mike.

You know when you need something fixed, repaired etc. and you ask your friend for a recommendation and they say "I gotta guy"? Welp, now you're going to be giving everyone you know John's number because this is going to be "Your Guy". I initially found John on Yelp, go figure. I called him up because we were experiencing issues with our Navien CH-240 Combi-Boiler. So, being that I already called a sh*tload of other plumber's which either did not return my calls or bother to show up for our confirmed appointments, I was an emotional wreck. John picks up and listens to my desperate plea for help. So after listening to me John says "No problem buddy. I'll come by and look at it" and gives me a date. Now, John did have to reschedule which he promptly notified me of. Which was o.k. because this showed he cared enough to ensure that I wasn't just waiting in the wind. This is where he also get's 5 Stars for excellent communication. Alright moving on. John shows up On-Time for our rescheduled appointment and goes straight to inspecting the boiler. John discover's the problem (Cracked Heat Exchanger). John took care of everything from the Warranty with Navien to ensuring everything was good on my end in the house. After getting the warranty approval John scheduled the new boiler install the following week which by the way he showed up On-Time and as scheduled. During the install, I was downstairs bugging John about every plumbing related question imaginable. John answered everything politely and also gave me pointers on Navien boilers. Ok. here is where John takes the cake of being the best priced plumber hands down. After installing the boiler, John informed me of how to receive a Rebate from National Grid due to installing this boiler! Seriously, go look it up! I never knew! What a great guy. Trust me. You won't find a better plumber than John. If he has to reschedule, don't get upset. This guy is getting so much work and it's just him. He told me that due to a shortage of plumbers from young people not wanting to get into the trades, plumbers are in high demand. However, John doesn't price gouge like the rest of these companies. Don't look any further. Give John a call.

I own several triple deckers in the Boston area and have had BRC Renovations do a complete roof replacement on on about two years ago. The job was completed on time and at a very reasonable price and I've had no problems since. At the same time they rebuilt the chimney from the roof deck up. They removed all the debris and kept the area clean on a daily basis. I have had them do various repairs at another similar flat roof building as well and I will have them do a complete roof replacement on that building within the year.I can't emphasize how important it is to me that they are responsive to emergency requests for fast turn-around repairs as well as top quality workmanship.

We first met Boris and Gerry when the house they were building was nothing more than a hole in the ground. All that was available to see was the beginnings of the foundation. Our real estate agent thought that it was a property which might be interesting to us, and so she arranged for us to meet. We went to the building site, where we were shown the blueprints for the house to be built. The location was perfect, and the specs looked just like what we wanted, but we’d never heard of these builders before. Boris and Gerry supplied us with a list of references for a variety of jobs they had done in the area – a large single family, a gut-renovation of a town house, and more. We spoke to many of these home owners, and went to look at two of the houses, and were sold. We had never heard so many glowing recommendations for builders! The houses were magnificent, the workmanship was top-of-the line, and the homeowners couldn’t have been happier.We were ready to sign, but wanted to personalize some of the house features. Since we keep a kosher home, the design of the kitchen had to meet our specific needs. Boris and Gerry told us that this was no problem. They said that as long as we are able to specify any requests before construction was done, we could make any changes that we wanted, and we would not be charged anything extra. They were true to their word! We totally redesigned the kitchen from what the architect had planned. We customized the closets, we chose some of the tiles, and all of the paint colors. We changed locations of light fixtures, and had new fixtures added. We added a door, moved a closet, and totally changed the layout of the third floor. Anything that we wanted to customize, we did; and anything that we wanted to leave as originally planned, we left. The result was a house which was exactly what we wanted, with minimal amount of headache. We couldn’t be happier. They kept to their time schedule, and we were able to close exactly when they committed to us on that very first day that we met by the hole in the ground.We have been living in the house for six years and continue to enjoy it. Our relationship with Kenwood Builders is ongoing. Boris and Gerry have continued to provide service, and address all of our concerns. Due to the record snow of 2014, there were repairs that were required. There was no question about who we should call. Boris took care of all the necessary work, and even negotiated with our home-owner’s insurance company to get us the best settlement. We are confident in the knowledge that if a problem does occur in the house, they will respond and handle it with the same level of professionalism that they used in the building process.
I had a great experience with this company. They were quick to respond and scheduled an appointment right away. The treatment was effective, and I haven't seen any signs of mice since. They also followed up two weeks later to make sure everything was moving in the right direction, which I really appreciated. Their prices are reasonable and the warranty they offer felt like I got good value for my money.
Ed and his team at Master Mice Proofing are the absolute BEST. They saved us from a mice problem in our 200 year old house in 2017---they were fast, efficient, nice and cleaned up everything after their work. We have never had another mouse in the house.
This summer we used them to help us battle the city rat situation that had gotten out of control in our backyard (over 30 burrow holes). They came and assessed our yard, talked about the realities of living in a city (We are in JP) and rats, and came up with a plan and an estimate.
Ed and his guys worked for 4 days in rain and sun, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND (but stuck to the estimate they gave us) and all rat activity has ceased in our yard.
He helped barricade and reinforce our fences, filled the burrow holes...and I check EVERY DAY and there has been no rat activity.
These guys are worth it, worth every penny.
Bite free for one week thanks to these people! We had come back from an European holiday and while there we had to change rooms and I thought I saw a bed bug early one morning. I didn't think much about it until coming home. After about a week, both my husband and I woke up with bites each morning. I called for a dog inspection with another company and they said I have bed bugs. They also said the bed bugs were ii a suitcase but given that the suitcase wasn't with us on our trip, I wasn't convinced. I called Mike and he was very nice. I didn't tell him we had another dog inspection and I wasn't home when their dog inspected our house but when I received a call from Mike that evening he said there was an alert on the red suitcase which was the suitcase that wasn't on the trip, and that the other dog had also selected. Mike arranged for a treatment and walked us through the heat treat procedure. Gregory, the team leader was amazing, explaining everything. When we got home, it felt bug free (I know that sounds crazy). Waking up knowing that I don't have something crawling on me at night is pure bless. I can get my life back and I owe it all to these people. Thanks, Sniff K9s!

Amazing service, really personable, caring, and knowledgeable staff, and a very reasonable price for service to spray a yellowjacket nest in our front door. The person I spoke to on the phone was really helpful with identifying the yellowjackets and talking us through what we were seeing and was able to get us on the schedule right away. Shaun came the next day and was absolutely wonderful, talking us through what to expect from the service and how to do reasonable mitigation strategies to keep them from returning. I hope I don’t need their services in the future, but if I ever do, I’ll be calling Ecologic Entemology! (Also, what a great name!)
The team from CatsEye is amazing!!! We have had them servicing our home for a few years now. Everyone that has come to our home has been so nice. If you have a problem between visits we give the office a call and they get you scheduled in as soon as they can. They really are outstanding!

Dr. Gheddaf Dam is not only an outstanding professional, but also a remarkably compassionate human being. Prior to beginning my treatment, I was quite despondent. I had been led to believe that I would likely lose all of my upper teeth in the months/years ahead due to a pre-existing health condition. Dr. Gheddaf Dam assured me that she would work to restore my dental health, going the extra mile, proactively requesting updates on the other health issue I was contending with at the time. The results thus far have exceeded my expectations. My teeth are now straight, my gum health has been restored, and I am soon to receive two implants where I was missing upper molars. South Boston Dental Associates is Hands down one of the best Dentists if not the best in Boston. Dr. Barber is a fantastic dentist. Everybody at South Boston Dental is great. The hygienists are very nice and you feel comfortable in their hands. You know, Dr. Barber is not going to tell you to do something unless you should absolutely do i. They are professional and they are just plain great.
This office is excellent. If you have any nerves about dental work then this is the place for you. The entire staff (from front desk employees to hygienists to the dentist) is always kind, professional, and hospitable. Dr. Levy is great at what he does and always talks through what he is doing. I had a filling today and the process was so smooth start to finish. It obviously makes a huge difference in being able to relax when you can trust that you are in good hands. ??
Juna did my cleaning and she always does a fantastic job. She is always so warm and friendly in addition to doing a thorough cleaning/exam. Also, the chairs are super comfy and there is a TV for distraction. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Chang, his surgical residents, the nurses, assistants, and phone staff were all fantastic. Had a very good recovery after my jaw surgery. I don’t regret him being my surgeon, or getting the surgery in general.
I am a new patient of dpb (Charles River loc.) and I would 100% recommend this office to everyone and anyone. There was a formal sit down prior to the initial examination and cleaning. We went over my forms and concerns. I love that this dialogue started prior to sitting in a dentist chair as it emphasized that there was time for me and what I had to say about my dental goals/dental history. I appreciated how accommodating the team was when it came to scheduling with the front desk, making sure the room temperature was comfortable, that my x-rays were double checked incase we needed another try at one. The dental hygienist showed extra care to the areas where I still have cement remanence from prior Invisalign treatments. I am so appreciative of the group of professional women who were extremely knowledgably, thorough, kind and affable. Go women in STEM!! I didn't feel judged/shamed for not knowing something about dental health, and you could tell the team genuinely cared about educating me on ways to improve my routine! I'm looking forward to remaining my care here and I'm motivated to be better!

Such a wonderful and educational experience. I was visiting Boston and needed a chiropractor. Found this one and have been so thoroughly impressed. He doesn’t just do an adjustment and send you off. He took the time to evaluate me and listen. He took the time to teach me about what he was observing, doing and how my body works in great detail. He incorporated some massage and PT exercises into my treatment. I have visited chiropractors regularly for the last 35 years and I’m simply blown away by his approach. It is comprehensive and effective. So grateful to have found him and sad I don’t live closer but confident that I will not be needing one as frequently after his in-depth explainations and exercise videos.

Came in for a pinched nerve. Dr. Sullivan immediately knew what was going on, told me the plan, and got started. Within a couple of weeks, he was able to make most of the pain go away, to the point where I could return to my normal activities. He gave me lots of long-term tips for stretches and activities to help improve the health of my spine and the muscles around it.
I have been visiting the Copley Health Alliance for some time now and I find it to be a great experience. The office experience is very friendly and accomodating. I initially came in with back and foot pains and was immediately diagnosed and referred to a podiatrist (which was a relief as I had been fighting some pain issues for a bit). Additionally, after a few visits, I already note great improvement. Would definitely recommend it to a friend!
Dr. Deppen is God sent. I have been seeing Drew for the past few months and his work has made an insane difference in my body. From wide variety of treatment of Chiro to PT to dry needling - I do not have the words to describe how much movement and mobility I have gained since seeing him. My legs and hips used to scream in pain everyday. His style is very unique and different to all the various PTs/Chiros I have seen. It is extremely customized to your specific needs. Khalsa chiropractic is THE go to chiropractic office in Boston! As a pelvic floor physical therapist, I recommend their services to many of my patients looking for chiropractic care. They are super knowledgeable with all orthopedic conditions, pregnancy, and postpartum. Personally, I have seen Dr. Morrissey during my pregnancy and postpartum as well. The treatments are extremely effective. All the referrals I send their way rave about their services and I couldn't agree more! Their space is also absolutely beautiful and they share office space with pilates instructors and acupuncturists, another plus!
The only chiropractor that healed my life-defining neck pain (and I've been to 4-5 of them). They also give you the best Sanctband possible to try [which gives WAY more range of motion than standard therabands], and have extra tools (like decompressors) for more advanced cases that I could not find anywhere else. Also they have a comfy massage chair at the outset. Also the chiropractor answered a lot of my questions that other chiros couldn't answer

I am in awe..I came here for a second opinion for my dogs health issue, before simply accepting what my original vet said, and man am I glad I did. Dr Levine went above & beyond to make sure that he had researched ALL options before letting my dog undergo surgery, and guess what? He doe not necessarily need surgery - Dr Levine had alternatives, very well thought out alternatives that he carefully discussed eith me, and I just could not be happier! Thank you!!

I moved to Boston in June 2023 and was referred to South Bay by our dog walker. From the beginning we have found the team and veterinarians to be compassionate, responsive and skilled on their care of our two dogs. Recently our 12 year old retriever mix has had health issues and I’m sad to say that yesterday we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize her. Dr Baker was so incredibly kind and patiently talked us through options, gave us privacy to make the decision, and allowed us to gather the family to be with our beloved dog as she crossed the rainbow bridge. I am grateful to have had this support during this sad time and going forward to care for our other dog.
We have 2 dogs that are frequent flyers at MetroVet. Everyone is so caring with my pups and always helpful with my many phone calls with questions. My dogs are very nervous and we’ve had experiences with other vets where I wasn’t allowed in the exam room or they just didn’t seem to care about my dogs being comfortable there. Here I get to stay with them and they take things slow at their pace and give lots of good treats. We also go right into the exam room and never have to deal with other dogs being too close to us which is also a plus. My dogs love the staff here! ❤️
Pinto is a very sweet dog with very high anxiety around veterinary treatment, specifically onset during the COVID pandemic. Back Bay Veterinary Clinic -- and Dr. Graham in particular -- has been SO wonderful in working with us to figure out the best way to make sure he is calm and comfortable so that he can get the care he needs! I recommend Back Bay Vet to ALL of my friends with pets, but especially anyone with a ~* special *~ dog like Pinto.

Dr. Wosko saw my cat Nala for a check up today. He’s extraordinarily friendly and did a great job with Nala’s exam (she didn’t hiss once being at the vet)! He’s also incredibly knowledgeable and gives very reasonable advice/recommendations. Overall, I highly recommend this clinic!

We were very happy with Dr. Chelsea. She had obviously spent time reviewing our questionnaire and listened to our concerns attentively. She thoroughly answered all our questions and explained the reasons behind her recommendations clearly. Everyone was great! The woman who checked us in was very accommodating. Slider seemed to have a rude fascination with Rita (I hope I'm remembering her name correctly), yet she was nonplussed and handled it well. As I mentioned, Dr. Chelsea was fabulous. And two other staff members even pitched in at the end to corral Slider when he attempted a jail break. Overall, the vibe was very calm and welcoming.
We have been going to Merlin for years! The staff is awesome and the care they give to our cat and dog is great and very reasonable. FYI- They only take cash so come prepared.
I cannot say enough nice things about Bond Vet , their Seaport team, as well as customer service. We opted to get some of our furbaby’s meds from Chewy. They emailed us the approval (regarding a RX medicine) at midnight! Probably only 15 minutes after we had asked. It’s a bit far for us now that we moved but knowing that they take such good care of our kitty, it’s worth it.

I have been taking my new puppy to Petiquette for the last four months since we got him and have had such a great experience! Jen and her team have really shown care to us and do a great job with the groom on top of that. Bringing a new puppy to the groomers can be stressful as you want them to have a good experience off the bat. Jen was very welcoming when we wanted to bring Harvey in before his first appointment to socialize him to the new environment as well as Jen and her team, who were so kind and even gave him a little nail trim during his visit! He has had three grooms since then and each one is better and better! They always let us know how he does with each appointment, and they have the patience to work with him as the grooming process is still pretty new! He was having a bad morning when I dropped him off at Petiquette after getting spooked on a walk, but when I picked him up he was all smiles and happy. Samantha did a great job with his most recent groom pictured, and we can’t wait for his next appointment!
Dewberry Dogs Spa is AMAZING -- they always do such a great job with our little Frenchie & Boston Terrier (and our Frenchie is NOT an easy one to get into a bath or use 'the evil blow dryer' on!) They always fit us in when we make a request to give our pups a bath, and their customer service is outstanding. Highly recommend.

Emma is SPECTACULAR. I’ve been getting facials and eyebrows from her for ages.She is so good with just the right treatment for my ever changing dry skin. I’m convinced she sped up my recovery choosing this mask & avoiding that ointment following some skin cancer removal. She is still extra attentive to those tender areas. Her products are healthy and she knows the science behind everything she does.And I never worry about how she’s shaping my brows. Mission Hill Yoga is my happy place! Cassi and her team are amazing. Cassi is so thoughtful, supportive, and goes above and beyond. Although I don’t live close by I find that the treck to JP Centre yoga is always worth it. The staff is super friendly, the teachers are so knowledgeable and kind, and the space is lovely. I’ve had three back surgeries so I always inform the teachers of this and they watch out for me. I recently moved out of Boston, and the thing I miss most about my old neighborhood is definitely Beacon Hill Yoga! Renvil, the owner of BHY/REPS, is wonderful and the studio is clean, serene, and well-equipped. I enjoyed the variety of classes and instructors and frequent additions of new timeslots and class styles. As an avid yogi and certified instructor who has belonged to many different studios, this is a top-notch place to practice. I would recommend BHY to anyone!

This past Sunday I was lucky enough to come across a free Pilates class in the North End. Jill was the instructor. The entire hour was great! She kept the motivation going with her high energy, inspiring words and positive attitude! It was extremely humid but so worth it! I will definitely be joining Jill on the green again!

As a pelvic floor therapist, we trust Pilates Lab with some of our most complex patients because of their therapeutic approach to pilates. They are not a one size fits all type of pilates studio. They really know their anatomy and cater to their clients' dysfunctions. We feel so lucky to have them down the street from us because we can't imagine sending our patients anywhere else! I am thrilled with my reformer Pilates lessons with Yelena Hindman at Boston Body Pilates Newbury. Yelena was actually referred to me by two other instructors who teach at the studio, after I told them that I was the type of ‘student’ who doesn’t mind working on perfecting a single movement for months, if necessary; that slow and precise, interested me more than fast and unmethodical.
At my first private lesson Yelena had me simply walk back and forth, towards her and away from her, for the first ten minutes, observing my posture and alignment. She pointed out a few things I could work on correcting and explained how I was over/under utilizing certain muscles. Her knowledge of anatomy is clearly outstanding, as I literally felt she could see through me.
Yelena’s teaching style is focused, precise, direct, patient, detailed. She wants your mind to understand and connect to the physical movement, as your body executes.
Yelena is not there to tell you oh what a great job you’ve done! Yelena is there to teach, and to help your mind, breathing and body, understand all facets of any position. A lot is covered in an hour and the pace is focused. I always come out with a wealth of knowledge. My plan is to continue to take private lessons with Yelena until i feel familiar enough with the machine, terminology , positions, flow; and then I look forward to joining her small group classes. I’m in this for the long run; not looking for a quick fix. And I want to progress and build on a solid foundation. In Yelena, I am confident I
have the best guide. She always gives me 1-2 homework assignments to work on in between sessions, and I appreciate this as well. She is not flaky or bubbly; she is serious, solid, thoughtful and an excellent communicator. It is a pure joy to learn with her. Thank you Yelena!
I took a Sunday class with my sister and Jane was just such an amazing instructor! So clear on instructions, displayed movements and was so nice. We left feeling so strong, will definitely go back! 11/10!
I have never had a massage before but really needed one for my shoulders and neck pain. I was a little nervous arriving, but i was welcomed by the front desk, offered water, and explained the process. Franklin welcomed me and asked what pain i was having and explained his thoughts and approach. i had a 60 minute session and it was amazing! i felt totally comfortable and supported by Franklin. He offered suggestions afterward of what i might feel and i left very relaxed and happy. I will definitely go back!

Today was my first time visiting. Prior to today, I had been experiencing chronic neck and back pain without relief for months despite my attempts with other therapists. Eric was able to quickly and effectively identify my problem areas (masseter clenching, lack of flexibility of lower extremities) which was actually causing my pain in other areas (neck and lower back). I walked out of the 1 hour session totally pain free. I can’t say enough good things about Eric’s professionalism and skill. I’ll be back!
Maria is the best!! I'm a musician and avid weightlifter and was unable to play my instrument or lift due to a horrible pinched nerve. After my deep tissue massage with Maria I had so much relief the next day and the pinched nerve was completely gone within the week. I definitely recommend her to any musician who needs quick relief! This was also my first time ever getting a massage and while I was a bit nervous about what to expect, Maria eased my nerves and talked me through the process. I was very thankful for our wonderful conversation though she offered the option of a silent session as well as some tend to prefer that experience. The office was clean, quiet, and the music was very relaxing as well! 10/10 experience and money well spent!
I can’t say recommend The Method enough. I worked with Claire for prenatal support beginning in my third trimester until about 5 months postpartum. Each visit is completely customized to your needs and Claire helped me with everything from hip pain to pelvic floor therapy to wrist strengthening (a must for carrying twins around!). I was able to get back to safely exercising with modifications that Claire provided and she was always available via email/the app to answer questions. It was amazing to find a PT clinic that has so much expertise in women’s health and postpartum recovery - they were able to anticipate where I needed support before I even knew what to ask.

I have the good fortune to be a primary care physician whose office is down the hall from Lina. I frequently send my patients to her for routine physical therapy needs, as well as my go for collaborating on complex pain and dysfunction issues. When I injured my own shoulder she took care of it in just a few sessions with her blend of myofascial hands on work, and corrective exercises. Excellent skills, knowledge, and very thorough in her care for patients.
I got a knee injury, so I got an appointments for the physical therapy with Jake to boost my recovery. During two month of therapy, they made it possible to return me back to running, considering that I was limping before the therapy. Thank you BU therapy and Jake, the recovery results are outstanding!
I am amazed at the progress we achieved in just the first month. I had not been making as much progress as desired -5 months after a TKR and so contacted Jo. She got my knee to bend much more and the pain to stop. Additionally she is very nice and knowledgeable about many aspects of health and fitness. I highly recommend Jo and am so grateful to have more use of my knee again!
Dr Johanna is one of the best. She has been helping me recover from a shoulder surgery. She has been very patient with me and a huge aid in getting my motion and strength back. I would highly recommend getting at PT needs done by her!
I had a fantastic experience rehabbing my knee at Downtown Physical Therapy. The therapists were always very friendly and helpful, which made the rehabbing experience much easier to work through. They helped personalize my rehab experience by providing weekly exercises that they thought would work best for my needs. Scheduling was never an issue either. Me and my mother have been going Eastway Wellness for a while. I have experienced a phenomenal Dr Yi and staff are very kind,they make me and my mother feel welcomed. Dr cheng is the very best ! He's brilliant and kind and conservative in his treatment . He has your best interest in mind . He will do everything for you to avoid surgery if that's the direction other docs have recommended . As an orthopedic surgeon in China , he has more knowledge about the human body than just an acupuncturist would have . I was referred to him by my acupuncturist when I had a medical crisis . She said he was the best in the field and highly respected by his peers at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston . I attribute my recovery from the care I recover from dr Cheng and highly recommend him .
Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, Dr. Chiu comes from a family of renowned doctors from China. She has been in business for 34 years now, popular and well known in the Chinese community. Speaks English, and diagnoses all my ailments on-point! I couldn't take medicine while pregnant, woke up with a stiff neck, one needle in my left hand fixed me immediately! Common colds are relieved when I see her at the first sign of a cold- amazing how energized and clear headed I am again by day 3! Old fashion doctors office- Just show up and wait to be seen. First come first serve. I've sent many people her way and everyone always grateful because of her effectiveness. Highly recommended!
Dr. Lee is excellent. He uses various methods he feels work best after your evaluation to help alleviate pain. I felt results after only 1-2 visits. I want to give 5 stars but only giving 4 because during the week appointment hours are only 9am-2pm making it near impossible to get to when working full time.
I started coming here in April 2023. I had a whole list of issues going on, namely really painful and debilitating periods that were irregular. I had been on birth control for years, and when I got off of it, my periods became very painful, to the point of needing to miss school and work. I relied heavily on ibuprofen on days 1 and 2 of the periods. For two years, I thought this was just my new normal. But after coming here once a month for a few months, my periods have completely normalized again. No more pain and now my cycles are regular to a T! I haven't made any other life changes besides coming to see Bell. Their methodology is safe and effective, and in my case, curative. Periods don't have to suck! I'd highly recommend coming here if you are someone struggling with your periods or any other chronic conditions.

It's really great. The coaches are very professional, especially Coach Zhou. He is a very serious and responsible coach. He is also very gentle and patient. He speaks both Chinese and English very well. Highly recommended! Moreover, the customer service staff is also very enthusiastic and will recommend different coaches according to the situation. They will also remind you carefully before each class, which is really great! ! !
