It was like I was just having a chat with an old friend and I wasn’t at all uncomfortable. BASE COLOR - NATURAL ASH PERFECTION! I have previously struggled with brassy base colors with other stylists. My nemesis! Hope created the perfect ash base color while avoiding brassy undertones. She actually listened to me when I said a developer at 20 was too strong for me and leaves my color brassy and she lowered it to what my fine hair prefers + tailored the color to my specific needs. She delivered that cooler base I had in my younger days.
BRIGHT HIGHLIGHTS = SHINE: The highlights are exactly what I wanted and have missed. The brightness against the ash base created that perfect contrast, imparting a shine straight from the beach. Her baby-lites are perfect and better for me than the trendy and thicker highlights that can overpower my fine hair and end up looking striped. Previously with other stylists, I have felt my highlights were muddy against my base color.
HAIR THINNING ISSUES: I am thinning around the hairline along my face and missed having highlights there, as base color only seemed to make it appear thicker but made my skin feel dull. Hope created the illusion of volume with a depth and brightness by artfully placing the highlights where I had enough base colored hair behind them to back them up. With highlights framing my face once again, I can pull my hair up or back and still have the brightness against my skin, yet I do not look bald.
SHE LISTENS! Hope's warmth, knowledge, and kindness were truly appreciated. She made me feel not only valued as a client but also understood on a personal level. I know with my very specific concerns, it might not be as much fun or creative for a stylist, but she never made me feel odd for all my input.

I have been desperately looking for someone to give me a trim and not try to upsell or push a bunch of other things on me. I don’t need balayage or extensions or sparkles or anything like that. I just wanted a freaking haircut without paying 100 bucks for it. I happened to walk in on a whim to see if this place could meet my needs because of the convenient parking location when I was in the area for something else. Lashawna was kind enough to squeeze me in and do exactly what I asked, without any added frills that I did not have time for today. She was efficient, friendly, affordable, and most of all, did exactly what I asked. My haircut came out BEAUTIFULLY. The location is relaxed and not overwhelming like so many cattle car salons out there. Customer for life!

Any time I've needed a haircut and she was on vacation I've tried a couple other places in Lexington and Sulphur Kentucky where I live now.
They don't come close at all to the quality of cutting hair than her.
It is worth the 1 1/2 hour drive to see her.

I've seen Michael Carter twice now for highlights and a cut at the Tates Creek location. The results have made me very happy! He's so knowledgeable about the products he uses and is gentle with your hair. Just a wonderful hairdresser!

I and my children love them, we have been busy and they have been asking to get their hair cut for the last month. The barbers cuts actually look like the pictures shown.
Had my first visit last week and had the pleasure of having my cut done by Quincy aka The Grater. This young man's attention to detail was unmatched with any shop or hair cut business I've been to in a decade. Loved the atmosphere!! Haven't had that atmosphere since I was in the Army!! It was my first time visiting this particular shop. Needed something close to where I was going to be due to an appointment I had. I was the first one at the shop this particular morning. I just needed a pedicure, and the gentleman that was their greeted me soon as I walked in. He told me that they wasn't there yet but was on the way. I waited for about 5 or 10 more minutes and the gentleman who done my pedicure arrived. I had a great experience and will probably go back to see how well they do on nails. He done a fantastic job on my feet and took his time.
Under new ownership. I went in July 2024. Interior is totally remodeled. They have what seems like a thousand colors or more now. They told me they have 100 shades of chrome. The girl next to me got a cool design that turned out great. It felt clean and professional. The couple that owns it were there welcoming customers in. They were friendly and fun to talk with while I got my nails done. I will be going back for sure!!

I started seeing her over a year ago; I found her on the Face Reality website & really wanted to get on top of the adult acne I had been experiencing since covid. I joined the Acne Bootcamp program & when I tell you Trish has worked miracles on my skin… I mean it! My acne has cleared up significantly & she’s really helped eliminate dark marks & even out my skin tone. She is incredibly knowledgeable about all things skincare including diet/lifestyle habits as well as the best skincare products for your skin type. She also makes herself easily available through text if you have questions or need to do a last minute product pickup, and I never ever feel like she’s trying to “upsell” me on things I don’t need. The acne bootcamp facials aren’t exactly intended to be relaxing (since a good portion of it involves extraction) but I always find myself looking forward to them & feel so relaxed that I take a little nap every time— LOL! I really feel like Trish has given me back confidence in my skin through her empathetic & attentive care. Service was excellent. But room needs to be cleaned, furniture/decor wax covered in dust you can tell it hasn’t been cleaned in a while floor also was dirty and I was an early morning the client.

This was the best 60th born day for me. You made me feel special as a person. The body wrap was amazing, and it made me feel so soft for days and I saw myself as a thinner me afterwards. The Spa is everything anyone could want in a full-service spa. From check-in to check-out, the staff was knowledgeable, gracious and integral to the spa experience. The :30 ahead of time arrival ensures time to slow down breath and blood pressure before the spa experience begins. This is a great experience!

Tara was great! My hair was absolutely gorgeous. My makeup also lasted all night, including the lashes, which always seem to lift for me but they didn't budge. She was very kind and professional. All my girls loved her and they also looked amazing! The only thing I was slightly dissapointed in was that I asked to have my ears covered and they unfortunately were out in every picture. That being said, I would still 100% recommend Gatwick and Tara!

Our guy’s name was Keith and he did a FANTASTIC job. If you need a tattoo, get it from this guy. He did my girlfriend’s tattoo and one for me. He reassured us and made sure everything was done exactly as we wanted it. He had fantastic suggestions for our tattoos and made sure the color came out on my girlfriend’s tattoo exactly how she wanted it. He helped make sure the design for my tattoo came out exactly how I wanted it to be. We couldn’t have had a better tattoo experience. The rates were beyond reasonable and our artist was talented and deserved every penny. We would go here again in a heartbeat!! (The green anemo symbol is a few days old in the picture, and the one on my left arm the “Cut here” is day of.)

Me and my boyfriend were out of town and wanted to get a quick tattoo before we leave from vacation. Called the store to see if they had walk-in and sure enough they did. We went to the place was clean and quiet. Me and my boyfriend both got tattoos and was out of there at a reasonable time. Matt was very nice and talkative. He drew up the tattoos and it was a quick process. I would recommend and would come again if we are back next year.

Not only did they contact me a very short time after I submitted a request (after hours), they were able to come and fix our problem the very next day and worked incredibly with my schedule! Bluegrass Company is A #1 +++ in our opinion and neither my husband nor I are relatives, or personal friends. This is the second time that we have had them - this time, because we reupholstered furniture and wanted it protected the right way! In addition to protecting the new upholstery, Kevin shared with us the specifics of how to handle any spills that may occur, AND they are now doing the same excellent job on hardwood floors. Kevin told us which products we should NOT use on our wood floors along with the 'why', and agreed that our floors are not in need (yet) of any attention beyond the usual. Sorry to be so wordy but I never get anything out of 'one word' ratings- I always want the reasoning behind the rating- and now you have it!

I tried to go through Lowe's and Home Depot for new carpet installation and nothing was transparent. They use a third party company to do everything so you can never get the same person on the phone and they don't communicate well about appointments or measurements.
At Corvin's, I worked directly with Debbie Cain, who has been with this family-owned local company for many years. She was incredible and their staff are very professional and efficient at what they do. The prices are also very fair, and quite frankly, the peace of mind and reliability is worth every penny. I paid around $2500 for 3 bedrooms which included carpet, install, and haul away of old carpet. The installers took about 4 hours and were incredibly professional. They will move furniture and take care of your house to make sure nothing gets damaged upon all the work they are doing. It was quite the process to watch.
They also communicate their arrival the day of the install. I also paid everything in full before the installation date. Corvin's was super flexible on how I wanted to do this, so I decided it worked best for me to pay everything up front. I'm glad I did. They took very good care of me and the final result looks incredible. I will definitely work with them again in the future if I need additional work done. Support local!

Best flooring experts in the Lexington area! Start to finish this was so much easier than expected! Sarah came to do two measures, way out of her way before he day even started (oops on scheduling the first time to get in the house pre-move in day), provided samples and got me exactly what we wanted, hustled to arrange installation before our movers arrived, and was lovely and professional throughout the entire process.The installers did a gorgeous job, were polite and considerate, and worked long days to get the job done in time for the movers arrival.

We had a great experience with HDH! We were referred by a friend who also had a good experience with remodeling of his home. Our project was large, including complete renovation of a kitchen and 3 bathrooms. From the first visit, Erik (owner) was so helpful and accommodating. I had a vague idea of what I wanted for our space and Erik was able to take what little vision I had and design something beautiful and updated that is still widely appealing if we ever decide to sell our home. With his design and layout ideas, we were able to add our own touches to fit our family.
The crew who actually completed our project (Victor and Ray) were fantastic. They worked on the project like it was their own home. We felt totally comfortable leaving the home for errands, knowing they were trustworthy and would take care of things and continue working while we were gone. They arrived right on time every day and worked throughout the day, efficiently completing all the work. And the work they completed is of excellent quality, with attention to detail. I'm pretty picky and Erik/team addressed any concerns I had. Erik was responsive and stayed in close communication throughout the months-long project. I don’t normally write reviews but it’s the least I could do in this case.
We had a number of fixes/repairs that needed to be made to a house we were selling. Our closing date was three days away and many of the items that we’d had done by another vendor were not done properly or not done at all. We were in a panic and thought surely the contract on the house would fall through. This was a Saturday. I called several businesses and either didn’t get an answer or was told it’d be Monday before they could come out. Then I talked to Manny and explained our situation to him. He asked for the address and said he’d be there right away - even sent me a screenshot of his ETA from his phone which I loved!
I walked him through the list of various repairs, from exterior siding/painting, to electrical work, plumbing. Not a short list! He listened, asked for an hour to confirm that his guys could work Sunday and assured me he’d take care of it. He texted less than an hour later to confirm they’d be there the next day - again a Sunday! - to get it all done.
Sunday, Manny kept me updated on progress via text and checked with me on a couple of things that I hadn’t really considered because he wanted to be sure that, not only that items got crossed off the list, but that work was done right and would satisfy our potential buyers. He sent word at 5:30 that everything was done - what a relief!
When I got to the house to check the next mornong, I was blown away by the quality of the work! Take a look at the photos of the before and after for some of the exterior work to see what another contractor had done compared to Mannys work. He even painted another side of the house that we hadn’t mentioned because it had faded would’ve looked awful compared to the sides we had asked to be patched. Not only that, but other than the work you’d have never known his guys were there - everything was cleaned up and as it was before they were there.
I really can’t express how grateful we are to Manny and his crew for helping us out of what felt like an impossible situation. Exceptional work, exceptional service, exceptional care. Five stars doesn’t even come close. Will recommend to everyone I can. Thank you, Manny!

Just went to my first visit to see Dr Pugh and I can tell you I have never been to a chiropractor that does all the things they do to make you better. There staff is top notch and very caring if you live in the Lexington area this is the only chiropractor you will ever need it’s an Awesome place!!

I have been seeing Dr. Sara Brown for almost two years. Every adjustment is catered to my body, gentle and just where needed. Never a hard or rough experience. The focus is on daily habits, care and physical therapy. Recently I had a pretty intense pain after a vacation and Dr Sara was able to find a rib that was not in place and gently fixed it. It was amazing how much better I feel and I was able to instantly stop pain meds for it.
Dr. Ebony is amazing! The entire staff is welcoming, friendly and caring. My first appointment I was at a 9 pain level. At my wits end witht the discomfort and pain. After 4 sessions I am a different person! I do not usually do reviews but those folks out there that are afraid of chiropractors....DO NOT BE AFRAID OF THIS PRACTICE. They are the place to go to be cared for and helped. You will also be supportiing a locally owned FEMALE business.
I took my son here to see Dr. Jenna Turner. He was having digestive issues, and sleep issues. After just 1 visit he was doing much better! Dr. Jenna was also very playful, fun, and interactive with my 3 yr old. He loves coming to their office to see her and views it as a “fun” outing.

Since I have moved and relocated my senior cat and 2 senior dogs to Kentucky, I can attest of all 3 other vet clinics I have visited--Dr Clark and his staff are more personable and they empathize with my loved ones. Yesterday, I had to make an extreme and devastating decision to put my dog down. Dr Clark examines with so much compassion and honesty. It doesn't matter how long it takes--he is providing exceptional care for your loved ones. I live 30 minutes away and choose any other vet clinics but this one is where I will remain. His staff are very nice, professional, and caring as well.

This place is a wonderful concept, I love that they have the individual rooms with real normal furniture and pet appeasing amenities, like calming music and diffusers. When they do have to take my little gremlin back, I can either go chill in the cat room with adoptable cats, or I can hang out in our designated little room on the couch.
They’re so good with my little dog who can be such a handful. I have absolutely fallen apart there a couple times and they’ve just been so nice. Their monthly care plan has brought me a peace of mine with my senior dog. It’s a little pricey, but isn’t all medical care? And it’s worth it knowing that my little dog is safe.
They are great! Everyone there is so very nice and KNOWLEDGEABLE.They have helped our Jax with figuring out what was causing his constant scratching.

Camp Bow Wow is paws down the best place! Iris and Luna absolutely love it here. The enrichment activities are adorable and I display them at my office. What truly sets Camp Bow Wow apart is the incredible staff. They're super friendly and take the time to get to know each dog individually. It's clear they genuinely care about our pets' well-being and happiness. I couldn't ask for a better place to entrust my pups.
Our dog, Bosco, not only loves going to Whitney, he also comes home looking better than he ever did with any other grooming service. I did not realize what we'd been missing until we came to Bluegrass Groom Room. Karen and Whitney are consistently professional, kind, caring, and calm - to pets and owners alike! My dogs have had two visits and I was extremely satisfied with the; customer service, the cleanliness of the facility, the professionalism of the staff, their ability to handle my dogs (they are very temperamental about who interacts with them). One of the main things I love is that it’s the standard of care for daycare to come with boarding and isn’t an “additional service.” To allow dogs to socialize when they have to be boarded shouldn’t be something you have to add on as an extra service like other competitors here in our town. I also loved having access to the camera so that I could check in on him during the day. My doggo was a very happy pup when I picked him up! It was like picking a kid up from summer camp. I can’t say the same about another place we have taken him to, in which I could tell by his demeanor that he had been upset while being boarded. The atmosphere and people made me feel so comfortable leaving him at Dogtopia - Lexington.
Peyton does great work! She’s been our regular groomer for years and my dogs get so excited to see her.
JESSICA IS AMAZING!! She is very knowledgeable about different breeds, patient and understanding. My babies are difficult and she handles them beautifully. She is VERY straight forward with you, so don't take it personally. She just tells you like it is for the benifit of your pet. Wouldn't trust anyone else.
They are great with my dog! I like thy don't keep dogs in kennels. They do a good job making her look great!
Ellie is a Rescue dog and she's very scared and timid with new people and situations. They were very patient with her at D&S taking the time to gain her trust and make her feel comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and Miranda did a great job grooming her!
My girl Gracie, a Great Pyrenees, was so much more comfortable in last summer’s heat and humidity thanks to Mutt Cutt’s groomers. They knew just was to do with her breed. We are going to do that same thing this year. Even though I live nearly an hour away, I wouldn’t take Gracie anywhere else.

I absolutely love Wildfire Yoga! Not only are the instructors extremely skilled and knowledgeable, but the studio is absolutely beautiful. I started with the intro package and within the first couple weeks I noticed that my posture had improved and my stress levels were down. Everyone is kind and welcoming and there are a variety of wonderful classes to take!
Ivy really does go above and beyond! Her tough love is the best, she won't baby you but she truly does care about her clients. Ivy will always incorporate different things that will help everyone improve their overall health.I couldn't imagine doing hot yoga anywhere else! Highly recommend to give her a shot!
Everything you could want in a hot yoga studio. Great instructors, a wide variety of classes, diverse times, clean air, clean studio, kept at a great temperature, lots of windows with natural light and a friendly atmosphere. The owner is also lovely and has made this a special place in Lexington to practice for sure.

Coffee shop and photography. Gym in the basement. Upscale boutiques and gift shop. Nice staff and very welcoming. Clean and attentive. Friendly and accommodating. Informative about future therapy.

I am absolutely obsessed with Reform! Every morning at 8am, I would be so excited to go to Reform because the instructors were so amazing and I left class feeling so strong and toned. All of the instructors are amazing, but I personally loved Hannah and Amanda’s classes. I love Reform because you spend the whole class on the reformer (some other chain pilates studios don’t use the reformer the whole time which bothers me) and every class was something new and challenging. The environment is so fun and friendly as well. I am currently back at home and I miss Reform so much!! Best pilates studio in Lexington by far!
I've been a client of Laura Cox, the chief yoga instructor at Breathe Pilates, since 2013. It's been one of the best parts of my life since -- practicing yoga as her student and client.I started yoga knowing NOTHING about it. I wasn't exercising regularly and rarely ever had. Over several years working with her and other fine folks at a local hot yoga studio I still go to on off days from Breathe, I learned peace and grit while gaining strength and flexibility I never thought a middle-aged guy could pick up. The main reason for that was Laura's excellent teaching. She remains enthusiastic in each class, individualizes instruction for you in group settings, and was very popular among the clients at the studio.She had wheels in motion to open her own studio just when the COVID lockdown hit, and she went through with it, opening first through Zoom and over time in person (though she still has several Zoom clients from all over the country). I started attending her Vinyasa classes and am so glad I still do. My strength and flexibility continues to improve, and it says a lot that I get out of bed early to go work out with her when I'd usually sleep in otherwise. It's an amazing way to start the day three days a week.Laura's studio at Breathe is the best yoga experience you could ask for. It only holds a few people, and it's not unusual for there to only be a couple of us in person with one or two additional folks on Zoom. That means she can really help us individually, and we also get to have fun with her as she sings us instructions or yells out "Party Toes" randomly. She designs workouts that she knows we need and caters them to who's in class that day. For example, I fell on black ice six years ago and smashed my L1 vertebra together, limiting my lower back flexibility and especially my ability to do situps and traditional ab work. It's common for us to do ab work in yoga classes I attend that I can actually do -- she makes it possible for me by seeking out exercises for that part of the body that vary from the standard, and yoga has helped me live a normal life (my physical therapy -- the doctor told me to go back to yoga class as it was already doing all we'd do in PT). She's always learning new methods and trying them on us to help us as a class and individually -- a perpetual student and teacher.So if you're new to yoga or have some experience and just want to find a relaxed and helpful studio, Laura's Breathe yoga classes are an awesome choice. Her rates are reasonable, and her careful guidance is priceless.
I fell in love with Shine & Pilates during my first class. Very welcoming and helpful. I know I'm at the right place! I'm excited to watch the changes in both my body & mind.

Had my first ever [solidcore] class today and it was the most fun and intense workout class I have ever taken. Emma was the instructor for my class and there are not enough nice words in the world I could say about her - she was energetic, encouraging, so motivating, and kind. I never felt out of place or like I looked stupid in this class. I would highly recommend this location (and Emma as the instructor) for anybody interested in trying this. I will be back!

I have had chiropractic therapy, acupuncture, dry needling therapy among seeing a message therapist regularly and nothing compared to my ONE visit at Corey’s place! I recommend the heated stones with mayofascial release, it was a game changer.

The student massage was great! Both my partner and i saw gracie. They were very accommodating and we both felt refreshed afterwards!
This was by far the best massage I’ve had before. I felt like Joseph really worked on my back for my unique needs and didn’t just go through the motions like I’ve found with many other massages. With other places I’ve gone, I’ve left feeling the same as when I came in. I left this one in much less pain than when I arrived. I will definitely be back!

Received a gift-card for my birthday after seeing their instagram pop up. I’m new to the area but after visiting for the first time, I felt an urge to share my review. I just visited the shop but, but plan to book other services. The shop is dreamy and magical! I had to walk the store 3-4 times over and kept finding more items I couldn’t leave without. The lady at the register was so sweet too! I will most definitely be back, and can’t wait to bring my mom when she’s back in town, and I cannot wait to book some of the therapies!

Hired Centered Lex for an event off-site and they were INCREDIBLE. So accommodating and wonderful to work with. Josh, Matthew, and a female whose name I didn't catch were fabulous. I specifically received work from Matthew and it really helped. I have always seen massages as relaxing and to work on your muscles alone, but they can do so much more! And they did for me!
Justin is the most gifted massage therapist I have ever encountered. His massages are truly therapeutic and healing.

Had a couple massage here last week. I was so impressed by the cleanliness of this spa. The atmosphere was so relaxed . Ana and Emily gave me and my husband deep tissue massage with hot stone , and some warm oil treatments. They both found our knots and we both felt relaxed. Highly recommended!
