“TLDR: Fun classes, friendly community, zero ego environment, 5/5... go for it!As a runner for many years, pounding the pavement finally caught up with my joints and I needed to make a change to my routine. I dreaded signing up for a regular gym because it's just never been for me and always been a waste of money.I was really excited to discover F45 in my area as I simply don't have the time to design a wholistic workout routine, nor the motivation to stick to it on my own in a gym. If you can do that... bravo, but it ain't for me. Really all the thinking is taken out of it at F45, so your job is to just show up, do the work while listening to some loud music, fist bumps, and you're off to whatever else you got going. If you're on the fence.. seriously give it a shot. There's a 2 week trial for a reasonable price, nothing to lose“

“This review is long overdue. Rob, the trainer at 3Strong, has been training me on-and-off for years now and he's helped me reach goals that I previously thought were completely out-of-reach. Originally, I was a self-taught weightlifter with dreams of seeing an Arnold-type physique staring back at me in the mirror. I read Arnold's encyclopedia, I frequented all the bodybuilding websites, I read the science-y sounding articles sprinkled across the web... But eventually I realized that it was both foolish and risky to trust the wellbeing of my body to my interpretation of what was mostly bro science. These "simple" movements that weightlifters rely on (i.e. the squat and the deadlift) can lead to serious injuries if done improperly. I felt like I knew a lot, but like the saying goes, you don't know what you don't know. There are a lot of personal trainers in this area, and I wanted to find a trainer whose credentials and experience stood out from the rest. So I did a little reading up on the various personal training certifications out there, and I felt the NSCA CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) seemed to require more out of its members than did the other certification associations. For instance, the NSCA requires its candidates possess a Bachelor's degree to earn the CSCS certification, whereas the NASM-CPT certification only requires a high school diploma. So after looking around for a CSCS trainer, I stumbled on Rob's name in some trainer database. From what I could tell, a CSCS could technically have a degree in Basket Weaving and be allowed to join the organization. I saw that Rob has a Masters in Kinesiology (the study of human body movement), which demonstrated to me that this guy knows a lot more about the human body than does the average Joe. Not only that, but he had been a trainer at that point for years. Between his certifications and his experience, I felt Rob was the best choice on paper. I signed up. Rob works out of a gym with a really interesting mix of equipment. There are the requisite barbells, dumbbells, and squat racks necessary to safely perform the big compound movements (bench press, squat, deadlift), but when you get bored of those tired old exercises, there are kettlebells, gymnastic rings, Bulgarian bags, sandbags, tires... It's pretty hard to be bored! He was able to critique my form and help me execute movements with confidence. Also, he structured a personalized workout program to get me to my goal in a smarter way. And eventually, after sticking with the plan, I got to a point where I was pretty happy with the aesthetics of my body. These days, my goals are less aesthetic and more functional. For instance, I was inspired to run an ultra-marathon awhile ago. Rob helped me figure out a training plan as well as an effective race-day plan that ended up working really well. Also, I find that though I'm able to push myself pretty hard at the gym, Rob motivates me to push far past my typical limits. And to be honest, there is a certain satisfaction to exert myself to that point (and it really helps that Rob always has interesting things to talk about to distract me from the muscle fatigue). If you're looking for a trainer who has both the knowledge and the practical experience, if you're looking for a trainer who will work with you to figure out how to reach your physical goals (whether they be bodybuilding, powerlifting, or sports focused), if you're looking for a trainer who knows a million ways to push you to where you need to be - I couldn't imagine a trainer I'd recommend more highly than Rob.“

“Peter has proven "Impossible is Nothing" to me in 2023. I joined FC50 back in late March 2023, set a lofty goal of losing 20lb by year end. Nine months later not only have I lost 25lb, I have also lost 7% body fat correspondingly. That is absolutely more than what I could hope for when I walked in Peter's gym back in March 2023. And the best thing is, my elbow's pain is actually gone through Peter's work out routine and program. Though these improvements are impressive, what impresses me most is in fact Peter's patience, knowledge and creativity in helping his clients to reach our goals. I highly recommend Peter and FC50 for anyone who wants to lose weight, become healthy, gain strength and muscle. On a more personal note.....Thank you Peter, thanks to you I could hardly recognize the man whenever I look at myself in the mirror, in a good way of course. You are a rare talent in your field, and I have no doubt you will be successful in your future business expansion. Happy New Year.“

“I went to NPTI on a whim in the fall semester of 2019. It is a 6 month 500 hour. This course prepares you to take the NASM certification and build a foundation for your fitness journey. I did not know what to expect when I started. The teachers name is Mark Bransky, who is a NASM master trainer and the educational curator for all California NPTIs. I did not know this at the time of signing up, I guess I just got lucky. The course has a 250 hour in class component and a 250 hour practical component. This benefits the student greatly because not only do you learn the book material, you also can practice it in a gym setting with a teacher. Mark will give you pointers, tips, and constructive critiques. Once a week you have a test on the book material and once a week you have a practical test, where you describe and execute different movement patterns that were learned the previous week. Another aspect of the NPTI Dublin course is the fact that you get to train real people once a week. NPTI Dublin partnered with special needs students from Dublin High school. On Thursdays they come in and students design programs based on the fitness level of their clients. They have varying physical abilities, so getting practice to program for all levels of fitness is beneficial. Some of the book material can get very monotonous and boring, but Mark does his best to keep it light, entertaining, and easily understandable. He uses power points, videos, and real life references to make dense material easier. (He really likes car references) We thought Mark should try stand up as a side career. He truly is that funny. He tends to have a darker side of humor if you’re into that.Another thing I liked about the class is the opportunity to learn as much as you want. He makes the lectures and lessons as easy as possible, but I’m inquisitive and always want to know why. He will take time either in class or after class to go as deep as one wants into the subject. He is truly the most knowledgeable person in the fitness industry that I know. There also is a full gym connected to the premises that I used to work out in after class. I usually had questions about different movement patterns and muscles that he would answer.Soooo, after that long winded review, I highly recommend NPTI. It is not cheap, around 7K, but it truly gave me a good base to start in the fitness industry. You don’t just learn exercises, stretches, and programming, but you also learn WHY you are doing those things. Mark is probably the biggest reason I recommend NPTI. Even after I graduated, I still routinely text and see him for advice and questions that I have.“
