“I have been to many gyms in my life and have had 3 other personal trainers, and 9Round with Dave and Ovi is hands-down the best I have ever been to! I usually have a hard time motivating myself to go to the gym but I look forward to my 9Round workouts every week. When you enter, everyone greets you warmly. While you work out, trainers and other gym-goers cheer you on and motivate you. When you leave, you're congratulated on a great workout and walk out of the door with a smile on your face. It truly is a wonderful experience from start to finish. Be ready to work, though! 9Round provides a high intensity, full body workout. “I did six sessions with Dr Alice for a very mysterious and very painful sciatica-like syndrome in my leg. Alice was fantastic to work with and helped me a ton. She went at the problem very patiently and systematically,from several angles, and when we were finished the pain was about 90% gone - which was *huge*; I'd begun to feel downright cursed with pain - and I was now equipped with a whole battery of exercises and stretches to help me keep it away. So far they've worked great.“

“I have always hated going to the gym and working out but I love this place. Working out doesn't feel like a chore when you have Annie as a trainer. She is not only knowledgeable about movement, weights, and your body but she can work with your limitations (I started with a back injury). I also highly recommend her for the great conversation and recommendations for yummy food.If you're thinking of trying this place, do it! They have a 3 session package that is a great deal and then you will be hooked too.“

“Anthony provides a friendly, non judgmental atmosphere to work out in and reach your personal fitness goals. He tailors the workout to your goals whatever they may be - weight loss, general fitness, gaining muscle, etc. Clientele includes a wide variety of ages and training experience from beginner to intermediate. Workouts are done in small batches of 3 people during each time slot - so no waiting for machines, and you get personalized attention from Anthony. Workouts are circuit style, and Anthony can also tailor them on the fly depending on your current needs. The session lasts between 30-45 mins. You feel accountable to Anthony and the peer group you train with, and everyone pushes and encourages everyone else to train hard. You will leave exhausted but happy. If you're having trouble committing to a regular gym schedule, this environment is very conducive to developing a good gym habit. The health, fitness and confidence you gain from this affects every aspect of your life, so the cost seems insignificant for the benefits you reap. Anthony offers a free workout session where you can try out 1 day, and it's a nice way to test if you like it. I can't recommend Anthony highly enough - this will change your life.“

“TLDR: Fun classes, friendly community, zero ego environment, 5/5... go for it!As a runner for many years, pounding the pavement finally caught up with my joints and I needed to make a change to my routine. I dreaded signing up for a regular gym because it's just never been for me and always been a waste of money.I was really excited to discover F45 in my area as I simply don't have the time to design a wholistic workout routine, nor the motivation to stick to it on my own in a gym. If you can do that... bravo, but it ain't for me. Really all the thinking is taken out of it at F45, so your job is to just show up, do the work while listening to some loud music, fist bumps, and you're off to whatever else you got going.If you're on the fence.. seriously give it a shot. From the first Rebel Recess class that I took, I have never felt more comfortable (except for the burpees!!) or more welcomed into a fitness space. Really community oriented and they even have a non profit to provide free coaching to Oakland youth. Coach Jason and Pela and all the other trainers are knowledgeable and awesome to work with. “I never thought personal training was my kind of thing, then the pandemic hit. In 2021 I wanted to start doing oly lifts somewhere outside my living room, but with way more attention to technique than a large group setting. The search was daunting until I recognized Max! I knew Max long, long, ago from a gym far, far away (not really, it was in Oakland) We discussed my goals and he set me up with trainers for 30 minutes twice a week.Two years later, I can say with confidence that the whole crew is top notch. Every time I've had a session with a new-to-me trainer, I've come away with more knowledge and perspective on movements I was already pretty comfortable with. A lot can happen in 30 minutes!Max: the boss! First and foremost technique focused. I was apprehensive about barbell movements and he patiently adjusted the cues for me until it made sense. Also introduced me to squats and bench press. All the foundations, all the discipline.Dave: an absolute legend. Solid focus on full body strength and doing just enough for gains while ensuring I avoid injury. Loves deadlifts possibly more than I do.Mikkie: also loves deadlifts possibly more than I do, but gave me to different, yet complimentary, technique cues than the other trainers. She also made me a true believer for resistance band work to increase overall strength and mobility.Diante: I await the day I can train with him. Every week, I'm envying his incredibly creative work with his clients. Until then, he's my biggest booster and an invaluable source of nutrition information.And my current besties:Alysia: she's known me for years, so she knows precisely when I'm BSing and when to push me. Her steady guidance has seen me through PRs and also with resilience through injuries. “This man changed my life. I am not exaggerating.I started working out with him last year in 2021 and at the time I was skinny-fat, had no stamina, and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Now my body definition has changed drastically for the better, I feel more energized on the regular, and I'm en route to diabetes remission! I no longer see the belly sticking out when I wear some of my shirts and I'm in perhaps the best physical condition ever.Also he knows exactly what type of workouts you need in order to reach your goals. If I had worked out by myself, I would've made little progress. “Before I walked in to Chirofitness, my doctors recommended pain medication, followed by spinal injections, followed by surgery to control my back pain (I have lower back stenosis). Even though the pain was debilitating, I was not willing to tolerate the side effects of pain killers and risks involved with surgery until I put an earnest effort into the alternatives, namely chiropractic. The staff at Chirofitness thoroughly evaluated my condition and listened carefully to my description of the symptoms and history. They started me on a gentle routine of chiropractic adjustments and mild exercises and stretching, and provided a doctor's note that allowed me to get a standing desk at work. Within weeks the pain subsided and I began to get my life back. I learned techniques to maintain better posture and develop the core muscles to keep my spine aligned and protected. Not only did my back health improve, my spirits and self-confidence improved, as well! Within a few months I was able to ski again and within a year I rode my mountain bike across the Oregon Outback, a 380-mile unsupported ride through eastern Oregon. Not only did I feel strong and healthy the whole time, I began to feel more fit than I ever had before back pain. I've done that Oregon ride twice now and I've also incorporated the deadlift into my gym routine, something I never felt confident doing. But with careful training and coaching by Chirofitness, I've developed the strength and correct technique that I can do it safely. I'm lifting 175 lbs. now and improving!
