“I have been to many gyms in my life and have had 3 other personal trainers, and 9Round with Dave and Ovi is hands-down the best I have ever been to! I usually have a hard time motivating myself to go to the gym but I look forward to my 9Round workouts every week. When you enter, everyone greets you warmly. While you work out, trainers and other gym-goers cheer you on and motivate you. When you leave, you're congratulated on a great workout and walk out of the door with a smile on your face. It truly is a wonderful experience from start to finish. Be ready to work, though! 9Round provides a high intensity, full body workout. They also offer body mapping and consultation, which has helped me orient my workout and weight loss goals. Dave also provides me with tons of nutrition tips and challenges that have made a huge difference for me! I truly cannot say enough good things about this gym, so sign up already!“

He made it so easy to understand which workouts were needed and what my form should be, especially since that was something I always had difficulty with. “After injuring my shoulder shoveling snow while in the mountains during snowpocalyose last winter, I knew it was time to get my body back in shape. Enter, Bliss Fitness and Health! From the first Rebel Recess class that I took, I have never felt more comfortable (except for the burpees!!) or more welcomed into a fitness space. The teachers are fantastic; the space is gorgeous; and most importantly after every class I feel euphoric, strong, and, dare I say, filled with bliss.“

“** REVIEW FOR PT DR. NICOLE GARLIT ** WHY I CAME IN: From the outside I look "fine" but I've been dealing with upper back and neck pain for about 15 years; I had back surgery which resulted in muscle spasms, been in two car accidents, commute to work about 5 hours in a car round-trip, and this all resulted to a lot of painful tightness in my upper back up to my neck. 2024 I made it my resolution to fix my back issues so I can continue my active lifestyle of biking, hiking, weight-lifting, backpacking, etc. My fittness goals this year are to fix my twisting squat, do a pull up, and get back my range of motion + posture. I am SO HAPPY to have Dr. Nicole Garlit in my corner! I booked using her website (www.NicoleGarlitPT.com) and that is where my exciting journey begins! DR. NICOLE GARLIT: Dr.Nicole Garlit is so well rounded - she's extremely thoughtful, thorough, and is focused on your goal. I have never been more carefully examined which also showed me how determine she was to finding the right next steps and treatment for me. I was worried about my range-of-motion so she even measured my movements and rechecked it at the end of our session. She gave me the BEST neck crack which felt so free-ing, even days later. I have been to many other Dr.s, Chrio's, Cupping/Reiki people lol, to find any kind of relief for my back but the exercises that Dr.Nicole Garlit assigned to me has truly made such a HUGE difference in my day-to-day. After the first night I did my exercises, I felt a big difference in my back the following day during my 5 hour commute to work + throughout my work day. She is a great listener, very passionate and intentional about her questions and treatment. If you go to her, you will feel cared for and leave not only with relief but also with the tools and new knowledge to continue your journey. She also has a new PT Instagram! @DrNicoleGarlit (attaching some awesome screenshots from there!) THE OFFICE: The space is so clean, modern, spacious and looks like a really nice personal gym. Towards the back leads to an open office area where your session/examination/treatment will take place. PARKING: The studio/office is right next door to a Core Power Studio. Parking was super easy as right across is a big parking lot (it's the parking lot behind Mijori Sushi) OVERALL: - I am sooo impressed with Dr. Nicole Garlit - You will receive a VERY well rounded experience consisting of a careful examination, treatment, and really helpful "homework" (aka exercises to keep doing at home) - I continue to feel more relief even days after my appointment - The studio space is so nice, clean, open, and modern! I was definitely eye-ing the In Body Machine haha - Lastly, I can't wait for my next visit with Dr. Nicole Garlit :-)“

“I began training with Abu in 2022 however our work together was cut short by a family tragedy. I came to him in October of 2023 with a specific goal in mind. I needed to get fit for a week of skiing in Canada planned for the last week of January 2024. Prior to getting started, Abu patiently listened as I explained that I was prepared to push myself to get in maximum shape. He outlined a program of skiing related exercises, gradually increasing the intensity, to have me peak for my trip. The compact facility is well equipped. His ability to explain and illustrate movements is extraordinary. I feel he intuitively senses the fine line between asking me for more and recognizing when I have reached exhaustion. He gave me routines to do between sessions with a caution to "not overtrain". The last month included three weeks of high volume rotations (strength, balance, agility, speed, etc.). The final week we tapered to the finish. When I boarded the plane the next day, I knew I was ready. Abu is incredibly knowledgeable and can be a stern taskmaster when needed. He is also warm, funny and welcoming. Training With Abu is a great joy! I highly recommend his services to anyone; from a person reengaging with fitness to dedicated athletes looking to move up to the Next Level.“

“Super fun place to train and lift. The pump classes are high energy and the powerlifting classes are supportive and informative. Really community oriented and they even have a non profit to provide free coaching to Oakland youth. Coach Jason and Pela and all the other trainers are knowledgeable and awesome to work with. Definitely recommend!“

“I started my time at Powerform after having my second daughter in April 2023. As someone who has typically engaged in Pilates, the idea of weightlifting was intriguing but intimidating. Max, the owner, was quick to respond to my online inquiry and was able to set me up with two trainers- Mikkie and John. He took time to chat with me about my goals. Shout out to Max for his excellent communication and thought processes for connecting you with particular trainers. John - within seconds, I immediately felt comfortable with John. He always lays out the groundwork for you so you know what to expect. His warmups always get me motivated for what's to come. I love that he is so encouraging and always keeps me on my counts during reps. John is extremely personable, and I truly enjoy our conversations. Mikkie- she has refined my squat game like no other and has pushed me to lift more than I ever expected to. She pushes me in the best way and always gives me opportunities to excel. I truly enjoy her style of training. As a mother of two young children, working out at Powerform has been transformative, to say the least. This has been my time out of the day for myself both mentally and physically. After many years of aimless workouts, I finally feel like I know how to spend my time to get the results I want. I feel stronger than ever, and that is thanks to the wonderful staff at Powerform. Highly recommend!“

“This man changed my life. I am not exaggerating.I started working out with him last year in 2021 and at the time I was skinny-fat, had no stamina, and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Now my body definition has changed drastically for the better, I feel more energized on the regular, and I'm en route to diabetes remission! I no longer see the belly sticking out when I wear some of my shirts and I'm in perhaps the best physical condition ever.Also he knows exactly what type of workouts you need in order to reach your goals. If I had worked out by myself, I would've made little progress. With James, he knows very well how and when to exercise certain parts of the body for ideal results.I think what's the best thing about working out with James is that he's not only a mentor and trainer for me, but also someone who I would consider a friend. I fully recommend training with James if you have the chance. If you put in the effort, you will see results!!“

“This place is EVERYTHING. I started coming to Body Mechanix in Feb 2022 with the intention of shedding a few lbs before my wedding in August and became addicted. My goals have changed -- instead of just looking good, I go to BM to feel good, to challenge my mind and body and to build community. I am genuinely happier and more fulfilled since becoming a member.Body Mechanix offers group classes every morning and a 6pm and 7pm class in the evenings. You can also sign up for open gym during the day. The classes vary between trainers and conditioning and strength focuses but ALWAYS leave you feeling satisfied and challenged. The trainers provide variations and encourage you to challenge yourself. When I first started coming to Body Mechanix I had never lifted a bar bell, I now know the safe mechanics of lifting and performing other exercises.Body Mechanix is all about community, the trainers and the BM team plans events, outings, parties, challenges, and celebrations for the members. The trainers care about the members and their clients and the memebers are all so friendly!
