Loyal customer earned! I recently bought my home. A new homeowner's nightmare ensues within two weeks of moving in. My sewer line has a major issue and my basement floods. I called my warranty company. They send out their contractor (United Air and Temp). My husband had to pull the toilet out because they "were not allowed to" and could not locate the clean out. They snake the main line and say they've resolved the problem. Three days later....same thing happens again. Same company comes out. This time, they tell me there is a break in the main sewer line and I cannot use the water until the sewer line gets replaced. They quote me over $17k and tell me they can offer financing. I am devastated. Me and my family go stay with a dear friend while we figure this out. I decide to call around and request other estimates. Thankfully, one of the other estimates I received was from Jon at One Stop Mechanical. Not only did they come in and quote me thousands less - but they also were the ONLY company that told me I should call the county because the issue was in an area that they might cover. I took Jon's advice and I will forever be grateful to him. The next day the county was in my front yard replacing the broken sewer line - for FREE. I chose to splurge for my birthday and try something I saw in a YouTube video...A Japanese Head Spa. If you don't know what that is, please google it. It was nothing short of amazing. Parking & Location This was located at a strip mall so the parking was plentiful. It was a huge parking lot so I see no one having issues finding a parking spot. This was located in a suite of salons located in Woodbridge, VA. Ambiance The entrance was very secure as it was double doors and you needed to call your stylists before being granted entry to the actual suites. In between the double doors is a small sitting area. I used the directory to dial Anna Mae and she responded fast. She was out to greet me within minutes. I followed her back to her private salon where I was surprised to see that there were no other clients. Normally, at any salon you'll have one person under the hair dryer, another waiting, and one still in the chair finishing up. This was already a plus because it was a custom experience. Experience She begun by introducing herself to me and showing me as well as telling me about her certifications. She is not only a Licensed Cosmetologist but also a Certified Japanese Head Spa Specialist. Next she offered me snacks and chai tea....happily excepted all of the above. I mean these were the good snacks, kind bars, Olli Pop soda, RXBAR protein/granola bars, and fresh chai tea. She explained the service options and possible add-ons. I opted for the deep cleaning option. Then she brought out the camera and showed me my scalp that I do not grease but looked like it hadn't been washed in a long while. She proceeded to take me over to the shampoo table, yes you lay down to get your hair washed. She provided me with a steam warm eye patch to place over my eyes, and I got under a big cozy blanket. She put a pillow under my legs so I would be comfortable. She was very gentle as I have type 4 natural hair and she took her time to separate my hair into sections, detangle, and used her finger pads to scrub my head. As if that was not enough, she asked permission to massage my feet and later my back. Consent is so important and she definitely understood that. Of course I agreed and was basically in heaven. I believe the massagers were percussion massagers so they had some power to them. When I was all washed, I went back to the chair and received a scalp massage as well. Then she showed me my scalp again on the camera and explained the treatment to me. It looked like someone else's head based on the earlier video. I could even see where some of the follicles were trapped and unable to grow from the previous build up and had now been freed (if that makes sense). I opted for the blow dry add on because why not. She'd been so gentle with my type 4 hair and I figured I would milk it. LOL the experience was immaculate and Anna Mae was a wonderful stylist!! Ten out of Ten would absolutely recommend her services. I will be back for special occasions or treats :).

Jean is the absolute BEST! When I came to her back in summer 2022, my scalp was bleeding from a skin condition that flairs up due to stress or low immunity. She took a special camera to it and showed me how bad it was. She did a special scalp treatment and conditioner from Korea, and it has helped tremendously! Not only that, but my hair was grey, purple, and brown from me messing with box color, and she fixed it. I love her personality and her services.
If you go to Jean at Lavanda, please respect her, her time, and keep your appointment as there are no walk-ins. She is the only one servicing the salon. Plus, there is no haggling on prices. One man came in while I was getting my hair done, and he was so rude to her talking about "In my country this, and in my county that...". Audrey is WONDERFUL! She is very understanding of my hair journey. She has delicate hands with the IBE application and cares about my comfort in the whole process. She also understands that not all clients are the same and empowers my choices and habits when it comes to my IBE care, while also being honest about the risks and benefits in my own maintenance habits. after doing a lot of research on hairstylists in the area, i happened upon Gemini. i booked the new client premium silk press package. Sherrie, the owner, was super nice, i was seen on time and she was very thorough! she does a great job on educating and answering questions about your hair and being seen by her felt very warm and welcoming. the prices are very reasonable compared to other places and i felt like i got everything i wanted out of the experience. everything was great from the moment i stepped in from when i left. i couldn’t recommend her enough :)
This was my second visit in 2 months! These ladies are kind and they get right to work. The first thing I noticed was how clean the salon was. Next everyone steps in to help. One was braiding my hair and another came over and started the snipping the hair sticking out of the finished braids. They clean the stations and sweep right away and make room for the next client. They confirm the style you want and explain how to care for the hair and even do a test braid for your approval before moving on. Some of the kindest women I've ever encountered. I WILL be back! They are fast, friendly, clean AND do good work without charging an arm and a leg.

I am here to tell you NOONE else has been on her caliber!!! She ask questions to really understand how you are taking care of your hair on your own and then she educates you!! She tells you everything she is doing with your hair and why. Also.... time, you are not there all day, when you are in her chair, the focus is you. She is so fast and efficient, and I DONT HAVE TO DETANGLE OR PREP my hair prior to coming, she does it and she is gentle. I went there to get my haircut fixed which was messed up at another salon down the street. I made an appointment over the phone but when I came in, they couldn't find my reservation. However, they were able to squeeze me in and Patty did an ok job on fixing my hair - although I had to go much shorter and my hair still looked a bit too choppy, but it was better than what I had before. I will try another master next time and see if I will keep using this place. Pricing is more than at Haircuttery, but lower than other salons (not chains) around. Place itself looks a bit outdated but clean enough.

We got there, it was her and Sandra working, both were with a client, Araceli was cutting a man’s hair and Sandra was trimming a man’s beard. Araceli greeted us, while we were waiting, I watched they both takes their time to give the quality service to their clients….not rushing because they had people waiting. It was my first time at JC Nails today. I travel 40 minutes to my current nail salon but my nail lady left and I had to find a new place. I am very particular with my pedicure. I have been with Salon Plaza as my own small business owner for 6 years now. Of the 30+ years as a manicurist this is one of my favorite locations. I went in with hair to the middle of back wanting a big chop/pixie cut and Kim did AMAZING! She took her time, kept me informed on what she was doing, ensured I was comfortable the entire time and laid my cut out! I got a Brazilian wax today, this was my first time coming here, and it was a great experience! The owner was on time and very friendly. She made sure to sanitize before we got started and she did it again after I was leaving. She uses the wax that you need to use strips for, and honestly it was so much better than what I was used to. I was going to European wax, where they use the hard wax. They do very large areas at once, so it was always pretty painful. With this form of waxing, I feel that it was smaller areas being done at a time and it was way less painful. I didn’t feel rushed at all, and she was very pleasant to talk to, found out we have the same birthday! I was very nervous about a private single owner doing my wax, but I am so glad I went. Her room is very welcoming, the waiting area is nice and comfortable. Love supporting black businesses and I look forward to being a regular customer.

Superb experience! Kylee at reception was so friendly and helpful when I booked over the phone and wasn’t sure what type of facial to book. She also came outside to find me when I got a bit lost and wasn’t able to find the office. Nely gave me an excellent, super relaxing Rebuilding facial. I appreciated that she explained what was going to happen at each step before starting. She gave a very thorough consultation before starting treatment to help determine what my skin goals were, and I also loved the hand massage she did while my face mask was setting. Dee was so friendly and introduced herself as the owner on my way out. A 10/10 experience and I’m excited to build these visits into my routine!

I've been here a few times now and it has become my new go-to spa in the area. Always kept very clean and everyone has been great. Variety of treatments are wonderful and I'm thrilled they're open late. I'm looking forward to their nail salon expansion.
The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is the lack of a quiet and relaxing waiting room. Instead, they offer a VIP room that comes at an additional cost and this shouldn't be the case. Every spa I've ever been to offers this at no charge and is expected. Typically, you would check in, change into your robe and head to this room to start relaxing ahead of your treatment. It helps calm the nerves and get you into the right mindset. It's also a nice place to hydrate and rest a bit after your treatments have been completed.
Unfortunately, you have to wait at the check-in/entrance which can be loud and somewhat chaotic, and you feel rushed to leave immediately after your treatment. It really prevents the place from feeling truly relaxing and luxurious. I really hope the owners reconsider this set up moving forward.

Our well pressure tank failed and I was trying to find one that was from the same manufacturer. The manufacturer's website indicated that Northern Virginia Plumbing Services sold them. When I called I spoke with Reid and he told me they had a brand new tank(not from the same manufacturer) and that he would provide it to us for free, but that it needed a part I could get at a hardware store.
We agreed to meet the next morning and true to his word Reid showed up and gave me the tank. Over the course of the day, he checked in to see how we were progressing in getting the new tank installed. We completed the project but were still having some issue and I texted Reid on Saturday night. He called us back and gave us a suggestion that we will try. If things aren't working like they should I'll be calling Northern Virginia Plumbing Services to do a service call and get things working correctly.
This has been one of the best experiences I've ever had with a trades company. For any plumbing issue we have from now on we'll be calling Northern Virginia Plumbing Services to handle them.

Loyal customer earned! I recently bought my home. A new homeowner's nightmare ensues within two weeks of moving in. My sewer line has a major issue and my basement floods. I called my warranty company. They send out their contractor (United Air and Temp). My husband had to pull the toilet out because they "were not allowed to" and could not locate the clean out. They snake the main line and say they've resolved the problem. Three days later....same thing happens again. Same company comes out. This time, they tell me there is a break in the main sewer line and I cannot use the water until the sewer line gets replaced. They quote me over $17k and tell me they can offer financing. I am devastated. Me and my family go stay with a dear friend while we figure this out. I decide to call around and request other estimates. Thankfully, one of the other estimates I received was from Jon at One Stop Mechanical. Not only did they come in and quote me thousands less - but they also were the ONLY company that told me I should call the county because the issue was in an area that they might cover. I took Jon's advice and I will forever be grateful to him. The next day the county was in my front yard replacing the broken sewer line - for FREE. Jon and the entire One Stop Mechanic company have earned my business. I will hands down recommend them to ANYONE. THANK YOU !

It's currently November 2024 and I've needed service from Jab & Son twice. 1st time was to replace 2 exterior lights. But the 2nd service was unexpected and for an emergency electrical panel replacement. I heard a crackling sound in my electrical panel in the morning. I called and said that I have a situation and explained what I heard. Abraham stated he could be at the house in the evening since I had to be at an appointment earlier that afternoon. He & his crew showed up at 7 PM and replaced the panel. I was impressed with the professionalism, work ethic, responsiveness, and communication. Abraham assessed the issue and discovered that my breakers were failing and burning out. The entire project took a good 4 hours if I'm not mistaken. It was late when they left but I can sleep knowing that my house is safe due to the new electrical panel. I think I received a fair price based on my research the next morning. Either way I'm just thankful that the issue was resolved in the same day. I plan on using this company for all of my future electrical needs in the future.

Alexandria, VA - one of our circuit breakers was off so called MIster Rogers for help. They assured me all was safe after asking me a couple of questions. Then we scheduled the appointment. I received a text reminder the day of the appointment and 30 minutes before the friendly tech team arrived. The electricians were clean, neat and wore shoe covers to keep my house tidy. The quickly scoped out the problem fixed it and charged me on an iPad which outlined the work they performed. Afterwards I received a copy of the invoice and a week later a thank you post card in the mail. This service is outstanding and I would not hesitate to call them again in the future.

Worth the money and wait. It took a few months between getting someone to look at the huge old oak tree we needed removing, getting an estimate, and getting the work done, but they did a brilliant job and found a way to lower the cost of the replacement tree (slightly smaller but wonderful). They did additional cleanup work along the side of the house as part of the estimate and accidently clipped an air-conditioning line; and then was here long after dark repairing the damage. Cleanup, reseeding of the grass where they worked to mill down the stump all looks great. We've depended on Mitchell for a number of projects, and I take the patience required to get them out to do the work as a measure of how popular they are.

I originally came to visit Dr. Pendar Esmaeli for acupuncture because I was experiencing insomnia and an imbalance of hormones during pregnancy. Dr. P’s devotion to her trade and kindness not only helped me, but changed my life. She is the only doctor who listened to me, validated all of my feelings/ hormones, and worked with me for a solution. I finally feel 100% like myself again and am eternally grateful for everything she did for me. I feel confident knowing that if I start to experience any of the same feelings I did again postpartum that I will be ok, and an appointment with Dr. P will be the first one I make.

Love this place! I started my journey to chiropractic wellness abt three years ago. I had issues with a misaligned rib, tight shoulders, and stiff neck. With the exception of random misalignments from every day living, the tightness and stiffness have been alleviated.I also had an unexpected benefit of chiropractic services, no more migraine headaches! I will forever maintain my chiropractic health.Which is easy to do with the courteous and friendly staff at ACT. Plus Dr. C is awesome!
Dr. Doroski has been treating me off and on since about 2018. (mostly on.) My neck locked out and kept me from turning my head in a particular direction but I have the added complexity of a spinal cord injury with titanium rods. He really takes the time to make sure the adjustments are going to stick, rather than popping things back into place and moving me on. I seem to break differently and with increasing creativity each time I see him and he knows almost immediately what to do.To date, he's unstuck my neck multiple times, put ribs back into place, knocked out crunchy muscles with matching knots, and helped me develop stretches and exercises with the intent of unstucking myself occasionally.I love Kathy's help with getting scheduled at reasonable times and for her overall professionalism. She is fantastic with getting me sorted, including the occasional crud with my insurance.This practice is a bright spot in my day and helps keep me going.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Parks. We took our family Dog Star there when she was maybe 5 or 6? Before we met Dr. Parks we went to Battlefield, the WORST! Dr Parks saved Star from 3 different hip fractures, 2 tumors, one of the tumors she was 14 or 15 and he saved her. The tumor was a pretty decent side too. Star had a stroke at 17 and couldn’t control herself anymore. She passed over the rainbow bridge. Dr. Parks was able to have her cremated and we were able to keep her ashes and have an urn for her. Moving forward 7 years we got another dog, Ramona, she was just a pup, Dr Parks saved her when she was a little pup - rawhide - lesson learned. Ramona is now 12 going on 13. She has arthritis which he is helping her manage the pain for that! She has had all her blood work done recently and is thriving! I wouldn’t trust another Vet to care for my fur babies! Dr Park isn’t about the money like most vets are, he genuinely cares for these animals. I know when Ramona is with Dr Parks she is in good hands! You will not find another like him.
This has to be the best veternary in the world! Not only did the doctor take care of dogs allergy issue, everyone was so nice, and explained everything to me and what i needed to dog to make my dog better. I can not thank them enough. I would recommend going here if your looking for a vet., and only place i will go from no on.

The grooming department is excellent. I have never disliked a hair cut my dog has gotten here. Kathy is super friendly and tries to get to know your dog. As far as Veterinary care, it's great, but seems a bit expensive to me compared to some other places. I toured the boarding facility today and I will just say I highly recommend taking a tour of ANY boarding facility prior to leaving your dog overnight. While the employee who gave the tour could not have been more friendly and knowledgeable, this is not a place I would board my dog based on the look and feel of the boarding facilities. It was not bright, cheery, happy, or fun looking whatsoever. The opposite.
They are the awesomest i love everything about them they treat your pet like there own even on there busiest day i will never take my cats any where else so if u are looking for a great compassionate place this is the vet for u and dr mccorindale is awesome ty to river oaks vet for being there for us

As a husky owner it’s difficult to find a groomer that has patience and knows how to handle huskies. Took my baby to get groomed and it was 10/10! Full grooming, bath, nails and deshedding and he came out looking amazing and happy. Hes a typical husky that doesn't like water or getting his nails cut but they were able to do everything. I recommend them for others fellow husky owners :)
The owner is great and cooperative. She handles the dogs with amazing care and is making sure the customer is satisfied. She’s running a great business and I recommend her!
Great atmosphere and very friendly people! Like seriously, the owner and instructors at this place have to be some of the most welcoming and nicest bunch of people that I’ve ever met.I tried their free 3-day yoga pass and enjoyed it. However, I will say that this studio places (or seems to place) a heavy emphasis on spirituality vs. yoga as a form of exercise/fitness. As someone who’s loosely spiritually, at most, it was a nice thing to experience, but was a bit too much for me personally. So if you’re like me, and enjoy meditative practice in your yoga sessions but want the focus to be on fitness/balances/cardio, this might not be for you either. I also found myself wishing that they had more class offerings throughout the week, but they are a small privately owned studio, so I get it. Overall, I would very much recommend this place to anyone looking to really incorporate their inner spirituality into their yoga practice. Namaste!
Nice, small studio that has everything you need for a class. Its size gives you a rather intimate experience.... sometimes hard to believe you're doing a Bikram style class.The classes are never full so there's always room for your mat and no one is blocking you. There are 2 showers for females so that adds to the convenience.

I had recently hurt my lower back and was in desperate need for a massage. I found Thalia after a little bit of searching because I didn’t want to go to a chain massage parlor. (They always seem to rush you). She got me in within a day and had a long sit down with me to go over my issues. Her studio was very clean, very inviting, and her personality put me at ease right away. She listened to my body and worked out issues I had long just accepted. She did so well, I was back in the gym a couple days later with no sign of my previous problem. Not only did she take her time, but gave me a military discount without rushing me out the door. Easily the best and most bang for your buck you are ever going to find.
My first ever massage due to a back issue. Jen was amazing. Deep tissue, hurt so good! I was l6cky to catch an opening. Jen is quite booked up. We'll worth staying on her wait list. The massage made my pain subside for hours.

I have been having shoulder issues for over a year now and had sought help from a chiropractor and various massage places that did not help. I'm so glad I found this place is a good search and after reading the reviews I decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed at all. After an hour of work, I feel so much better. I expected the relief to only last a short while but it has actually lasted a long time. I'm looking forward to going back again. If you are having some muscle or tissue issue, I strongly recommend giving it a shot.
I got a couples massage. My husband and I both felt wonderful after we left. A gentleman massaged me. At times he was using a bit too much strength, but he was much more gentle when I said something.
This location is well kept and the staff is professional and courteous. I have been going for a while and all the massages have been great thus far. My favorite masseuses there are Joanna and Joy. I normally get the two hours version and they provide great therapy for the entire session. They find kinks and knots I wasn't aware of. They combine different strokes/pressures to give your body the ultimate release of any pain you, maybe experiencing. Bottom-line it's a great experience. Willie
I've been coming to this place for 3 years now and I always have great experiences and consistent services from the staff especially Phoebe. My preferred service is deep tissue massage and I would always go for the hard approach to help loosen the stubborn knots on my back and arms. Recently, I've tried their cupping method, and after the initial sting, I felt immense relief in my body. Now I know why a lot of athletes also prefer cupping. The different types of essential oils used during the massage is amazing and very relaxing. I used to go to the malls to have my monthly massage done but since I discovered this place, I've been a regular customer. I also brought my family and friends to this place to get the rejuvenation they needed and they all love Oriental Massage. I definitely recommend this business if you're looking for an alternative approach to help relieve stress, improve blood flow, and just do an overall pampering. I also learned that they do acupuncture now, so yes, I will try as well and their facial as well. It's a one stop self care shop for me.

A delightful surprise! I had a wonderful Açaí bowl and I will definitely go back. It's at the end of a shopping center and everyone was very friendly. Everything is Vegan and everything was very fresh. Can't wait for my next bowl.

I had Mr. Gul as my driving instructor. He was a great teacher and always gave me gentle tips and reminders when I needed. He made sure I got my license in a timely manner (faster than any other service in the area) and I couldn’t have been happier to work with him to make me a better and safer driver.

I took my bike here to have headers installed and a dyno tune as well as a couple other things. Greg L'Heureux and Keith Hoekstra were awesome. I had no idea where to go as I hadn’t owned a bike in a decade and I’m glad I found them. It turns out from talking to others that their tuner and tech Rick is very well known and respected for his work in this area over the years and I could not be happier with his work.
