I’m a New Yorker and ever since I moved to Sarasota I have not been able to find a good hair dresser especially for a good blow out and Ines at Allure Beauty & Spa surpassed my expectations. I’m blown away by my experience and most importantly my forever new salon.
I had the pleasure of visiting Paradise and I can say that the experience was simply exceptional! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile from Dr. Paula who demonstrated welcoming and professional service.
The atmosphere is extremely pleasant and perfect for a day of self-care. She is highly qualified and attentive, always willing to answer my questions and offer personalized recommendations.
The aesthetic treatments I tried were carried out with high quality products, which left me completely satisfied with the results. I felt a real transformation and renewal!

This was a wonderful experience! I have been in search of a local head spa for some time. I have been dealing with scalp issues for 2 years and seen dermatologists with no fix to my issue. I can say after the experience and exceptional service today, the proof is in the pudding. I will be returning to continue these treatments. Stylist: I went in for a grey touch up, but ended up with partial highlights. Mina was my stylist. She was lovely. She and her husband work hand in hand. I felt very welcome. They offered me Turkish coffee. I had had it once before in a Turkish restaurant, but this one was so much better. Delicious! They even offered my husband a cup while he waited. The attention to details is fantastic. My highlight was a little too light for my liking. Mina was so kind and toned it for me, no problem. She also noticed the hair cut I had gotten 2 weeks ago was bad and trimmed and fixed it for me. Mina blow dried and styled my hair. It turned out beautifully. I highly recommend Smyrna’s Hair Salon. Not a resident yet but did a tour with Brooke today. First impression of the building walking in was it had a luxurious but fun vibe with the scent of a 5 star hotel. Cool artwork throughout the building, amenities were up to date and seemed well maintained. Apartment I saw was gorgeous, couldn’t believe there was a coat closet! Could def see myself coming home here and feeling comfortable. Brooke was very professional throughout the showing, she was warm, attentive with a razor sharp professionalism. Def the front runner in the search for my new place.

I went in yesterday for a color fix, was elsewhere prior and panicked walking around with bleached hair! I called in and spoke to Lynn who is the Owner and so sweet who had the stylist Ashley do my hair and I left with happy tears. Coraline is an incredible artist. I have been going to her for almost 3 years. She does incredible Vivids. I had bright pinks and orange with and without extensions. Gave her inspo photos and she did exactly what I asked for. A year ago, decided to go blonde and she was able to get me to blonde perfectly. I now have gorgeous blond hair with extensions in the gold tone I wanted. My actual hair color is very dark brown. Miracle worker! She is also a really great person and the hours fly by when I get my hair done. I drive from St Petersburg because I do not trust anyone else. Very cool atmosphere in the salon, as well. Amazing service, called in without appointment Dumar took me in, set up expectations about possible wait times, I got there it was easy to get parking, came in was greeted by Elias, he was fantastic and super friendly and offered me some soft drinks, I came from training Capoeira and could not refuse to that so grabbed a complimentary Pineapple juice it was very refreshing. When my turn came I was able to chat with Oswaldo from Cuba, young fellow super friendly and attentive he did an amazing job.
The place looks cool, they have a huge TV, a little nice pool table where the kids were having fun and a little VIP area in the back for more extensive and exclusive services. Went there for the first time 6 weeks ago and met Dave, the owner. I was going steady for about 7 years to one guy at Great clips, he was my guy, loved his work....was in and out. Anyways, so happened, he moved out of state which brings me to Dave. I was looking for the next guy and Dave is it, thank you Dave. Dave is a professional, to me a little slower than my first guy but, everyone is different, with that being said, Dave knows what he is doing. I did the eyebrow laminate with Ana and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the beginning, Ana was very professional and explained the whole process in detail, which made me feel very comfortable. The environment was very relaxing and clean, which gave me a lot of confidence.

She did an outstanding job, was extremely personable and kind, and made me feel my most beautiful self. Loxy is a fabulous colorist and stylist! I was desperate for a hair fix and she opened early to come to my aid. I arrived at Trio with over-highlighted, frizzy curls. She took the time to discuss what I like about my hair and what I considered problematic. I told her my highlights now looked pure blond and I wanted more contrast while my roots were far too grown out. I also made it clear I didn't want to spend half my day in the salon. She gave me partial highlights and lowlights, toner, a trim and with her magic scissors took out a lot of the bulk I'd been carrying. Before starting she made sure to tell me what each step would cost so there were no surprises. I love my hair and got many compliments the rest of the day. My hair looks beautiful and feels healthy and silky. I highly recommend Trio and definitely recommend Loxy!

I have a mango sap burn that basically burned a hole in my chin and have never really had bad skin til recently from too much sun exposure and being a woman with that time of the month hormones etc. I called Helene on Sunday and left a message, and she promptly called back within a couple of hours and booked me for the following day. I didn't know what to expect, never having had a facial before.. She surpassed my expectations. I love how she uses whole organic products and the natural remedies she uses to help you on your healing journey. I will definitely be going back to see her. I googled facial businesses in Sarasota, and she is by far the most affordable, too. Some people in this town want $250 just to give you a consultation absolutely absurd. Just spent the day at Oddities Tattoos on Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota, Florida, with the better part of my family. We are from Michigan and have other tattoos, but these were outstanding! My wife had her tattoo completely redone with a few additions, my daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughter and my self, got all new tattoos, seven tattoos in all! Summer is hot time for my AC. Fuse team is very quickly help me with my AC. Clean drain and evaporator also install UV light. AC started cooling 30% better.

When this business was open at Gulfgate it was my go to locksmit The tecnician-owner was very professional and performed his job to high standards. When the economy nosed down in 2019-2020 he decided it was time to retire . Unfortunately other unscrupulous "locksmiths" got a hold of the phone number and pretend to be the real deal. My advice to them is to be extra careful with those people. Remember you are giving the keys to your house to people with questionable morals. Always ask for ID and references.

From the pregame conversations with the owner Mark (he's so funny, too) I felt entirely comfortable that this was a safe and effective option. My friend who's house it is made a bet with me ($200) that he didn't think non toxic products would work. You would not believe the work that lay ahead of his team. I am more than pleased, and happy to report , I won that bet quite handily and the floors looked absolutely amazing, and we didn't have anything like the headaches and allergic sneezing and coughing that can come with using toxic products in the house. Our home endured extensive damage from Hurricane Ian, leaving us without walls, ceilings, and floors after mold remediation. In search of a reliable general contractor who could not only restore our home but also carry out some remodeling, we diligently collected multiple estimates. Ultimately, we made the decision to go with Austin and Jeff M from Calusa Kitchen and Bath.
Throughout the entire process, we received invaluable guidance in the design and decision-making aspects. Their support was indispensable, considering the tremendous scope of the project, which involved a complete redesign of the kitchen and master bathroom, as well as electrical work, extensive flooring, trim installation, and interior/exterior painting. Each design meeting left us pleasantly surprised by the level of stress relief we experienced.
As is expected with a project of this magnitude, we had numerous interactions with the on-site tradesmen. This was our second full-house total renovation. This time around, our experience was actually enjoyable. Brett Markley and his team did an outstanding job for us. For the most part, their subs were excellent - great work ethic and great results. The project involved tearing out all flooring, plumbing and electric cables and rebuilding two bathrooms, as well as moving and removing walls and reconfiguring ceilings.The project grew during the process, as is usual, but Brett and Dan rolled with it and gave us a beautiful new home. Very great experience with halls termite and pest. I noticed a swarm of termites flying In my lanai one night so I decided to call a couple of termite companies. After getting a few quotes, I found Matt with halls termite and pest through next door. Matt was the only one who did a full inspection in my attic to make sure there was no damage done prior to installing a bait systems The price was fair and he went above and beyond. He was also very knowledgeable. I will also be using them for my pest control. Highly recommend.

Meadows Dental is a very friendly office. The people here are welcoming. The lobby area has some water and juice while you're waiting. When you get in the dentists and the dental hygienists are also kind. They monitor my teeth carefully over the years and I trust them. Don't forget to bring in your retainer if you have one. They may offer to clean it for you.

They are AAHA certified, so professional and so loving to my puppers. And I really love the doctors’ notes and labs sent to me after the visit.
Dr. Tudin is the only veterinarian that I trust (and I have used several). I have been bringing my pets to his office for over 30 years. It is approximately 30 minutes from my home, but worth the drive because Dr. Tudin and his office staff are kind, knowledgeable, compassionate, and trustworthy. Dr. Tudin only tests and prescribes medications that are necessary for the treatment of your pet. His front office staff have even gone above and beyond by making sure I could get a prescription dog food from a different veterinarians office closer to my home for convenience. I feel lucky to have a veterinarian I can trust in the area!
Dr. Gonzalez is fantastic. He’s very compassionate and provides wonderful care to our fur babies. We love that he’s more into integrative medicine and healing. Red Fox does not have a traditional veterinarian office feel. Instead you will be greeted with a very warm staff in a peaceful environment with water fountains. Susan, Lynn and everyone at Red Fox are wonderful and have taken an interest in our us and our pets well-being. Highly recommend Dr. Gonzalez and his practice!!

I am so happy with Alfonso's grooming of my Cairn Terrier, Miss Hilda. I adopted her at age 11 from a breeder. Living in a house, and walking on a leash didn't come naturally. She had been bullied by other dogs at the breeders so was too fearful to drop off at busy groomers.. Thankfully, one evening a friend and I read though Alfonso's reviews. We called. He answered and came to the rescue. It surely was no easy task given her love of dirt digging and rejection of anything resembling a brush. Given such a challenge, he could have muzzled and shaved her or just refused the job . Rather one hour later he and now unrecognizable Miss Hilda emerged from the van. I thought of that old movie,' My Fair Lady': Before and After

Karri did an amazing Job with Ruby. Ruby is very anxious when visiting a groomer, sometimes place wouldn’t touch her due to her Anxious behavior.
Karri made sure Ruby felt comfortable before she started on her. We think it made all the Difference in the world. Ruby adapted to her right away and was able to groom her without any issues. I will be back and also bring our other furry baby to her as well.

Took our toy poodle here for a full grooming today and was pleased with the whole experience. The one-on-one grooming and more personal environment (compared to a big box pet store, for example) clearly made a difference for my anxious poodle. They were quick *and* thorough, following my requests for the haircut perfectly after seeing a photo of my desired haircut.
Doggo usually huffs and puffs after a grooming to formally lodge his complaints, but *none* of that happened today. A win! Will absolutely bring our dog back here!
Take your cat or dog to D’Heroes on Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. I just picked up my dog (Rocky) and he looks like a movie star. He also received a ton of love there. Talk about great service, good feeling, simple place, affordable and awesome care. They speak English and Spanish too. What a great experience.

We adopted a long hair rabbit and it's fur was severely matted. I tried to use scissors and a shaver to help the bunny but wasn't able to make a dent. Jazzy was literally amazing!!!! She was kind, dedicated, and determined. She got our bunny shaved and he is a much happier bunny now.:D so grateful!*Just want to add that she is literally the only person I could find who would even touch a rabbit for grooming. Will absolutely recommend and also passing along her info to the places I called that had no idea who would groom a rabbit.
By far the best yoga studio I’ve been to. There are so many different classes to choose from for all different levels. My favorite is Yoga Sculpt. It provides me a great workout with fun music. I definitely recommend this place!
1st time doing hot yoga, 2nd time ever doing yoga... I can't wait to go back! Loved the atmosphere, Kelly was amazing and even though I wasn't 100% on the poses and stretches, I never felt out of place. Comfortable space - definitely recommend!!

Going to the Iyengar Sarasota yoga studio is never been a disappointment. I have always gained more for my practice, knowledge of yoga and my own self understanding of who I am after taking a class with them. If you have never taken a class with an Iyengar instructor/teacher try it at least once and then make your own assessment, it’s worth the treat for the experience. ( I am a Iyengar student/practitioner , so I have a great biases for the style)

it's hard for me to get into working out as I have social anxiety and gyms aren't my thing. I've found that pilates and yoga have helped me in easing myself into getting my body active. the dopamine high after taking classes at shack is insane. more specifically, i'd like to give a shoutout to Kalesta. She's an amazing instructor and all around great person with beautiful vibes. Uplifting and encouraging, while doing a great job at challenging everyone in the room. :)
I have found so much restoration and peace at Bhavana. I love the variety of offerings from yin to sound healing. My soul feels nourished and my body feels revitalized when I leave this studio. All of the teachers are inclusive in their language and give students a lot of freedom to explore, introspectively. I also appreciate the wide range of props available :) I'm a huge fan of the Tuesday evening yin class. I've noticed my sleep has gotten deeper and I've found a deeper sense of relaxation each time I attend. Thank you for holding space in such a beautiful way for your community! <3

I had my first Pilates experience this morning with my two sisters. It was absolutely amazing. Gloria was my instructor and she was incredible. Very lovely voice and highly energetic! She was excellent at engaging with the class and keeping us motivated! What I also loved was how helpful our instructor was at keeping me and the others informed on how to better our form or what to correct, or a few tips and tricks to engage other muscle in the body.Overall, I loved the experience and I loved the class! Will absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a sign to try out Pilates!I am wishing Gloria well on her journey and I thank her for a spectacular experience this morning. I was blown away. I hope to continue coming back and having a wonderful time with every class.

Shea is incredible. Her body work including lymphatic massage feels heavenly and my body feels so much better and lighter afterwards. I have had pain relief after just one session even for problems that have plagued me for years. When she added in some hypnotherapy, I felt like I had an exorcism! This was probably the best massage I have ever had! I have chronic low back pain and sciatic flareups, and I was barely able to walk today. After the 90 minute deep tissue session I feel so much better!!! I’m walking without every step making me want to cry. Selena (I think that was her name) is a miracle worker!!

An eye opener to the, usually erroneous, concepts on our body physiology. One hour of exercises/education stretches changed the chronic back pain it was nagging me for weeks. My husband and I were visiting Sarasota and were hoping to book a last minute couple’s massage — and boy did we luck out. We stumbled upon Mind Body Works after a quick Google search, and could not be happier with our wonderful experience with Rosetta and Byron. I am nearly 8 months pregnant, and knowing that Rosetta was a doula prior really eased my mind about getting a prenatal massage. She was so amazing and the massage far exceeded my expectations! My husband was massaged by Byron and was also so very pleased. He was extremely informative and made my husband feel so comfortable and relaxed. We could not recommend them enough. Not to mention, they are just lovely people, their home is beautiful and they sent us off with homemade herbal tea. Don’t hesitate to book with them! We will absolutely be back next time we are in the area.

To say that Terry is a Master Craniosacral Therapist does not even begin to describe his level of expertise, professionalism, compassion and uncanny ability to connect with his patient on their journey to healing. I am in the medical profession and have seen many Craniosacral Therapists, but Terry is world's above in every sense of the word. He is truly gifted and I look forward to introducing my 92 year old father to his practice. We will be traveling from New Jersey just to see Terry!
I've been seeing Dr. Frank off and on since I had plantar fasciitis in 2023. I am 60+ years old playing competitive pickleball so I have nagging injuries and issues at times. Unlike other places I have been, Dr. Frank is hands-on and gets right into the problem area. His comprehensive knowledge of the body is impressive and he knows where to apply the pressure, get the pain released and have me back at living fully once again.

Martha and I used to be neighbors; I was aware that she is a Chinese doctor but only recently used her services. Firstly, her offices are so impeccable and peaceful. Secondly, Martha studied with both city Chinese doctors and rural ones (Shaolin) so she can prescribe the best course of action for your needs. I am certain that had I seen a Western doctor for this particular ailment, I would have been prescribed surgery. With Martha, suction and acupuncture and herbs ... within minutes the pain in my arm / wrist was gone and stayed gone for more than 6 months. So grateful to know Martha and to have called her!
My allergies are gone! Can't say enough good things about Panyada. She is so thorough, caring, patient, kind and compassionate. And, on top of that, her office is beautiful and you feel a sense of calm as soon as you walk in the door.
I suffered so badly from allergies, I was convinced I had to move from Sarasota. But, after just my first visit to Panyada, no more allergies! It's like a miracle.
Next visit is for some recent lower back pain. There's no doubt she'll help me with that as well.

For 2 years I suffered from severe ulcerative colitis. For the first year I was placed on traditional western medications. The second year I was prescribed an additional infusion. This lasted another year with no significant improvement. I then made an appointment to see Dr. Liang. After about 20 minutes of discussing my condition I was face up on a table with approximately 30 needles in me. Dr. Liang immediately understood my condition and planned a course of treatment that included acupuncture and herbs. After 3 months I have had significant improvements. Without getting into too much detail, I am now sleeping through the night when I used to have to get up 6 - 8 times. Dr. Liang’s knowledge, personality and caring concern for his patients is amazing. This is also reflected in his staff. I have never been in a Dr’s office where the atmosphere is so caring and personable. I have already recommended Dr. Liang to my friends who collectively have a wide variety of issues. Thank you Dr. Liang both as my doctor and my friend.

After seeing numerous doctors, dermatologists and podiatrist for 15 years, Dr. Shao is the only doctor that finally and successfully cleared up my athletes foot fungus. It was chronic and the regular methods were not working and out of desperation I chose to try acupuncture along with Dr. Shao herbal recommendations and I’m so glad I did. In turn he also relieved the plantar fasciitis I was suffering with. Thank you Dr. Shao!
Dr. Cynthia Higgins performed an excellent evaluation of me for a medical marijuana card. The only issue I have is whether or not my previous physician (Adam Leroy M.D.) with Dolphin Medical in Bradenton has released me as his patient so Dr. Higgins can finish the processing to get my medical marijuna card.
Dr Hynes has treated me for lower back pain and for a knee issue (slightly torn Meniscus). My lower back pain is completely gone. Not only did she help with the pain, she also made many suggestions on how to ensure that it doesn't return. Proper stretching, etc. I was very happy with her treatment for my knee, no surgery required and now I am walking pain free well on the road to full recovery. Extremely positive experience.
After experiencing Pain in low back and hip for over 6 months, my Partner went to be treated at Natures' Wisdom Healing Center. Mary is efficient, pleasant extremely skilled and experienced. Previous pain had diminished from a 10 to a 2 by the next day and the relief was priceless! We highly recommend Mary for any and all issues with not just pain, also including proactive wellness practices.
Dr. Cao treated my very severe case of Bell's Palsy. During the first 3 months of my Bell's Palsy, before I started seeing her, I had very little improvement (see photos below). My doctor's office recommended her and I had significant improvement after the first session! And then additional improvement after 2nd session. My case was bad, my right eye would not close completely and it couldn't blink at all. I'm also pretty old and did not get treatment right away. All of those meant it would take longer to treat. After seeing her for 3 months I am so much better I can't believe it. It's life changing! My eye now closes completely and it partially blinks. My smile is almost back to normal. I am so thankful that she was able to treat me with electro-acupuncture and Chinese herbs. If I hadn't gone to her I would probably be in that 1/3 group of Bells Palsy people who do not recover. Her treatments made all the difference! I'm not sure I can add captions to photos so here is what they represent: first photo is how my mouth looked smiling the first week I had Bell's Palsy. Next is a photo 3 months later which shows that there was only a very small amount of improvement in my mouth. FYI, my eye had almost no improvement in that first 3 months. The third photo, which was just a day later, was after my first session with Dr. Cao. It's an amazing improvement and all in one day! The last photo is the next day after my 2nd session with Dr. Cao. Again, improvement in just one day! Over the next three months the improvement were more incremental, but each week I could see improvements and thankfully my eye is so much better! FYI, during the Bells Palsy treatment she also treated me for some hip and toe pain and that was great and very effective. Just remember the difference between the 2nd and 3rd photo is just ONE acupuncture session! If one session can make that big of a change in something as severe as facial paralysis I'm sure it can make those big changes in other issues.
My son recently completed several days of instruction and the final driving test with Suncoast. He found the instructor to be extremely professional and supportive, which boosted his confidence behind the wheel. Given that we spend most of our time abroad, my son only had the minimum hours required to obtain his license, making this experience all the more crucial. I highly recommend Suncoast for driving instruction.
