Starting Iyengar Yoga two years ago was a great decision!Susan is an excellent teacher. She is very knowledgeable and mindful of each student (carefully watching and allowing you to get as far into the pose as you are able to).I really appreciate Marilyn and Deborah who are great teachers as well.Practicing Iyengar Yoga at this studio is a special time!

I love Iyengar style yoga, out of all the different styles I find it the most comfortable and flexible for my body's quirky issues with their use of blankets, blocks and straps to arrive the body. I was in Sarasota for a few days and did a drop in class after years of not practicing yoga. It was the perfect class and instructor for getting back into the swing of yoga. The instructor was patient and instructive ensuring all students were getting into the positions correctly to the best of their ability and offering alternatives or assists if their body wasn't able. This is an awesome Iyengar yoga studio! All the teachers are well trained, knowledgeable, and pay impeccable attention to your alignment (no matter what level of experience you have). I have been studying for over a year, and my body and mind has changed in so many positive ways. I feel motivated to practice outside of class because I have confidence that I won't hurt myself. Yes, blanket folding is specific, but its purpose is to help you position your body in the best way for optimal alignment AND to be mindful of the next person who uses them.
