I originally called Redding heating and air and was charged $99 for the consult only to be told my unit was not repairable and that my only option was to buy a new one (quoted at $12,000). I called Cory Burns at Shasta Heating and Air for a second opinion on a Thursday, he was out two days later on Saturday to look at it and had it completely repaired and running better than before within a couple days for $1000. My husband and I couldn't have been happier with the whole experience and how nice the whole crew was, it's now almost a year later and my unit is still running great with no issues! “I just wanted to share my gratitude for Redding Comfort and especially Chris. I came home from work the other day with water dripping from my ceiling all over my hallway floor. Jim, the owner, diagnosed my air conditioning issue spot on and replaced a very leaky evaporator coil and properly recharged the system with the the right refrigerant. The rest of my HVAC is working fine. Jim is very knowledgable and experienced. His charges were reasonable and thousands of dollars less than other flawed estimates from other HVAC services who wanted to totally or partially replace the AC system. “Visiting my 90 year old aunt and her heating went out. Called Phil Carpenter's and was told they could have someone out the next morning first thing. When I explained it was for an elderly homeowner, Brandon said he would see what he could do. Called back a few hours later and said he could have a tech swing by. “Many years ago I ordered a heating element for my Payne heat pump unit. When it came in Bob told me what to watch out for when I installed it.He also told me to hang onto the unit as long as I could because it was a great unit. I had since called him when a blade broke off of the outside cooling fan. He sent a repairman out the next day, ordered the part, and was installed the next day. “Our AC unit stopped in the middle of the night, our Home Warranty was no help except for finding a company in SACRAMENTO who couldn't get to us until July 1st ...2 weeks away. “I used to have a home warranty and contacted them six times over several years for problems with my gas wall heater. The people they sent had little to no experience with gas wall heaters. They would tinker with it a little so it would sort of work for a while. This year, the fan quit completely. I mentioned to my neighbor about the problem I had been having. She recommended Palo Cedro Heating & Air Conditioning. He fixed my heater by replacing the part that had been failing over the last several years.
