I recently attended their women self defense training. I was able to master a few techniques within one session and effectively beat my hubby at home! Very impressed! We plan to send our daughter there once they are able to expand the facility. I think it will be great for their confidence building.“

It was not until I began working with Jonathan that I felt that I had the information I needed to heal. And heal I have. Jonathan listened carefully to my descriptions of pain, during the times I was not with him, as well as while working with him. Then he tried different exercises until he found the ones that were pain free but improved my mobility and my strength. I am so lucky to have found Jonathan. He is a thoughtful listener and a creative problem solver. He joins a vast knowledge of exercises with a deep well of compassion. I cannot recommend him enough.“

After hearing about my struggle with back pain when lifting he offered to give me tips on my form and did an incredible stretch session that honestly left me feeling 2 inches taller! I got to meet the manager in Body Mechanix too and they were both so friendly and professional. Thanks for the kindness to someone who isn't even a member (yet) Tarrell. He's the real deal, highly recommend the staff there.“

3530 Grand Ave, Oakland“I began training with Abu in 2022 however our work together was cut short by a family tragedy. I came to him in October of 2023 with a specific goal in mind. I needed to get fit for a week of skiing in Canada planned for the last week of January 2024. Prior to getting started, Abu patiently listened as I explained that I was prepared to push myself to get in maximum shape. He outlined a program of skiing related exercises, gradually increasing the intensity, to have me peak for my trip. The compact facility is well equipped. His ability to explain and illustrate movements is extraordinary. I feel he intuitively senses the fine line between asking me for more and recognizing when I have reached exhaustion. He gave me routines to do between sessions with a caution to "not overtrain". The last month included three weeks of high volume rotations (strength, balance, agility, speed, etc.). The final week we tapered to the finish. When I boarded the plane the next day, I knew I was ready. Abu is incredibly knowledgeable and can be a stern taskmaster when needed. He is also warm, funny and welcoming. Training With Abu is a great joy! I highly recommend his services to anyone; from a person reengaging with fitness to dedicated athletes looking to move up to the Next Level.“

Enter, Bliss Fitness and Health! From the first Rebel Recess class that I took, I have never felt more comfortable (except for the burpees!!) or more welcomed into a fitness space. The teachers are fantastic; the space is gorgeous; and most importantly after every class I feel euphoric, strong, and, dare I say, filled with bliss.“

So welcoming and friendly, always making sure I was pushing myself. Together with Billy they brought the vibes and had great playlists to keep you motivated. I was there for a week and felt like I'd been part of the crew for ages. Couldn't recommend more! Such an awesome team!“

“We have been members since 2019. While we lived in the east bay during that time we have since moved to the Santa Cruz Mountains in 2021. Here we are 2024 and our children are still members. The reputation of the Dragons Den speaks for itself and therefore making the 1 to 1 hr and 15 min drive twice a week each way is worth every moment they have the opportunity to train with the DD staff! The patience and lessons that come with the training are seen through the efforts of the dedicated members who have nothing but great things to say about this place. There's no wonder there is always a wait list. I highly recommend signing your kiddos up here if there are any openings. We sure are proud of the training we have seen with our children and how they continue to be dedicated.“

I am not exaggerating.I started working out with him last year in 2021 and at the time I was skinny-fat, had no stamina, and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Now my body definition has changed drastically for the better, I feel more energized on the regular, and I'm en route to diabetes remission! I no longer see the belly sticking out when I wear some of my shirts and I'm in perhaps the best physical condition ever.Also he knows exactly what type of workouts you need in order to reach your goals. If I had worked out by myself, I would've made little progress. With James, he knows very well how and when to exercise certain parts of the body for ideal results.I think what's the best thing about working out with James is that he's not only a mentor and trainer for me, but also someone who I would consider a friend. I fully recommend training with James if you have the chance. If you put in the effort, you will see results!!“

Very sad day for me, but for his new clients in CA you won't regret hiring him as your trainer. As you can see in the first pic I had some lbs to lose after my second child and he helped me make it happen! I became stronger and had more muscle tone then when I was much younger pre kids! Mike is professional, fun and he created awesome workouts which were not limited to inside a gym. We took advantage of the outdoors as well, which I loved... even though outdoors meant burpees. Every workout different and hard AF. We trained 2-3 days a week for an hour and created workouts for me to do on my own on off days. Not only was I pushed physically but mentally as well to overcome things I didn't think I could accomplish. His positive attitude, encouragement and communication was amazing! He's a personal chef btw and assisted with diet and meal planning! That was key!!! I haven't been able to find a trainer in NY to replace him.“
