Teddy and Erica are super sweet and motivating. Teddy will push you hard because he know how much more you can give, he sees the potential in us even before we see it in ourselves. “I don't remember how we found Alison and Truve but I'm thrilled that we did. I'm 71 and my partner is 68 and we wanted a gym and a trainer who would work us hard but be knowledgeable and respectful of the challenges of keeping older bodies fit and strong. Alison listened carefully to our goals and concerns and set us up with Jenn. Working with Jenn is a delight - she knows her stuff and pushes me just enough. Every week she shows up with a different workout that keeps me on my toes - she's always fully present and responsive. As for the gym itself, once you've covered the basics like cleanliness and equipment quality (check and check), it's all about the vibe - are you comfortable being there or not. I've been a member of multiple gyms before and Truve is hands down the place I've most enjoyed going. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.“

“Rob Lin is an exceptional physical therapist. Rob and his entire team are patient and welcoming, and his 1-on-1 work is phenomenal. If you have the option, I cannot recommend The Technique enough. I knew when I signed up that working with him would be an investment, and it is one I am so glad I made.

I came in with an injury that I have been struggling with for 4 months. I had been seeing another PT but I had repeated setbacks during my recovery. I was in consistent pain and I wasn’t improving.

In 3 weeks or so, Rob has gotten me to a place where I can function again and even push my physical limits. He is kind, reassuring, and his hands-on work has consistently made an obvious impact. Immediately after getting off the table, I feel less pain and improved stability that last. His work on me has allowed me to push further during session and during at-home exercises, which he’s tailored based on my feedback.

TLDR: I’ve already recommended Rob and The Technique PT to friends struggling with injuries and would urge anyone to book a free in-person consultation. Rob is amazing and I look forward to every session. I can’t thank him and his team enough.

“We have been members since 2019. While we lived in the east bay during that time we have since moved to the Santa Cruz Mountains in 2021. Here we are 2024 and our children are still members. The reputation of the Dragons Den speaks for itself and therefore making the 1 to 1 hr and 15 min drive twice a week each way is worth every moment they have the opportunity to train with the DD staff! The patience and lessons that come with the training are seen through the efforts of the dedicated members who have nothing but great things to say about this place. There's no wonder there is always a wait list. I highly recommend signing your kiddos up here if there are any openings. We sure are proud of the training we have seen with our children and how they continue to be dedicated.“

“Hey hey! Just to verify I am the girl in the photos in his site. No fake pics. Mike was my trainer for over a year in NY until he relocated to the west coast. Very sad day for me, but for his new clients in CA you won't regret hiring him as your trainer. As you can see in the first pic I had some lbs to lose after my second child and he helped me make it happen! I became stronger and had more muscle tone then when I was much younger pre kids! Mike is professional, fun and he created awesome workouts which were not limited to inside a gym. We took advantage of the outdoors as well, which I loved... even though outdoors meant burpees. Every workout different and hard AF. We trained 2-3 days a week for an hour and created workouts for me to do on my own on off days. Not only was I pushed physically but mentally as well to overcome things I didn't think I could accomplish. His positive attitude, encouragement and communication was amazing! He's a personal chef btw and assisted with diet and meal planning! That was key!!! I haven't been able to find a trainer in NY to replace him.“

“Before I walked in to Chirofitness, my doctors recommended pain medication, followed by spinal injections, followed by surgery to control my back pain (I have lower back stenosis). Even though the pain was debilitating, I was not willing to tolerate the side effects of pain killers and risks involved with surgery until I put an earnest effort into the alternatives, namely chiropractic. The staff at Chirofitness thoroughly evaluated my condition and listened carefully to my description of the symptoms and history. They started me on a gentle routine of chiropractic adjustments and mild exercises and stretching, and provided a doctor's note that allowed me to get a standing desk at work. Within weeks the pain subsided and I began to get my life back. I learned techniques to maintain better posture and develop the core muscles to keep my spine aligned and protected. Not only did my back health improve, my spirits and self-confidence improved, as well! Within a few months I was able to ski again and within a year I rode my mountain bike across the Oregon Outback, a 380-mile unsupported ride through eastern Oregon. Not only did I feel strong and healthy the whole time, I began to feel more fit than I ever had before back pain. I've done that Oregon ride twice now and I've also incorporated the deadlift into my gym routine, something I never felt confident doing. But with careful training and coaching by Chirofitness, I've developed the strength and correct technique that I can do it safely. I'm lifting 175 lbs. now and improving! I'm so glad I consulted with Chirofitness before starting down the path of pain medications and surgery. Treating the cause before treating the symptoms made all the difference for me.“
