“I moved to Walnut Creek a few months ago -- trying out different gyms -- came across Everfit and since then I incorporated the classes as part of my routine. Chris (the owner) knows what he's doing and every class is intentional. Solid split workouts through the week. He's also an athlete so for me personally I'm a fan of learning and following a training routine from someone who's been there, done that, and still doing it! “Reading the other reviews, I can second all of them. I'd just add that as a woman in her late 60s I feel totally comfortable here. The coaches take everyone seriously and I have never felt talked down to, as can happen in some gyms. There is a lovely balance of serious lifting and socializing between lifts. It has been very fun getting to know people of all ages and life paths I might not have had the chance to meet in the rest of my everyday life. Whether you are a long term, serious lifter, or someone who has never lifted but keeps hearing you probably should (yes I'm especially talking to you my fellow "mature" women) check them out. You will not regret it.“
“My hubby goes to this place on regular basis and he really likes their approach. I also like the fact that he has not got any injury since he switched to this place. I recently attended their women self defense training. I was able to master a few techniques within one session and effectively beat my hubby at home! Very impressed! After hearing about my struggle with back pain when lifting he offered to give me tips on my form and did an incredible stretch session that honestly left me feeling 2 inches taller! From the first Rebel Recess class that I took, I have never felt more comfortable (except for the burpees!!) or more welcomed into a fitness space. The teachers are fantastic; the space is gorgeous; and most importantly after every class I feel euphoric, strong, and, dare I say, filled with bliss.“
“This gym is ideal for a working person like myself who needs flexibility in when I get time to work out. I have severe knee and back issues and Vlad the owner has been kind enough to adapt every round workout. He also ensures he is giving time and attention to my form, correcting me and does the same for everyone. The gym is very clean and organized and with the workout set up, there isn't insane crowds so it's a good atmosphere for a workout.“
“I began training with Abu in 2022 however our work together was cut short by a family tragedy. I came to him in October of 2023 with a specific goal in mind. I needed to get fit for a week of skiing in Canada planned for the last week of January 2024. Prior to getting started, Abu patiently listened as I explained that I was prepared to push myself to get in maximum shape. He outlined a program of skiing related exercises, gradually increasing the intensity, to have me peak for my trip. The compact facility is well equipped. His ability to explain and illustrate movements is extraordinary. I feel he intuitively senses the fine line between asking me for more and recognizing when I have reached exhaustion. He gave me routines to do between sessions with a caution to "not overtrain". The last month included three weeks of high volume rotations (strength, balance, agility, speed, etc.). The final week we tapered to the finish. When I boarded the plane the next day, I knew I was ready. Abu is incredibly knowledgeable and can be a stern taskmaster when needed. He is also warm, funny and welcoming. Training With Abu is a great joy! I highly recommend his services to anyone; from a person reengaging with fitness to dedicated athletes looking to move up to the Next Level.“
“I signed up to the trial while visiting a friend in Moraga and loved it! Whitney was the trainer I had the most and she was awesome. So welcoming and friendly, always making sure I was pushing myself. Together with Billy they brought the vibes and had great playlists to keep you motivated. “On the outset, I had talked to a few different trainers, but John had a good vibe and I generally felt confident with his approach to correct form. In addition to being a highly knowledgeable trainer, he's also just a rad human! Definitely recommend giving him a call.I worked out with John 2x a week for over 6 months while easing back into shape. My goals were to gain muscle and avoid injury, and he helped me achieve both. I had a DEXA scan, measuring body fat and lean muscle, before and right at the end of our time together, and I had a pretty big improvement, which we were both stoked about.I knew I would eventually "graduate", and John set me up to be able to move forward on my own in a gym and feel more confident creating workouts for myself.
