In addition to being a highly knowledgeable trainer, he's also just a rad human! Definitely recommend giving him a call.I worked out with John 2x a week for over 6 months while easing back into shape. My goals were to gain muscle and avoid injury, and he helped me achieve both. I had a DEXA scan, measuring body fat and lean muscle, before and right at the end of our time together, and I had a pretty big improvement, which we were both stoked about.I knew I would eventually "graduate", and John set me up to be able to move forward on my own in a gym and feel more confident creating workouts for myself. He even checked in with me a few weeks later to see how I was doing and if I needed help decoding any of the machines.“

I also travel a lot, and they've been great about staying flexible, even doing virtual sessions when I'm on the road. Training with them has made a real difference in my overall fitness, mental health, and even my running and pickleball.“

On top of that, the community is incredibly welcoming and supportive. Highly recommend!“

He takes the time to assess where you are in your fitness journey and then motivates you to push past limits you never thought possible. Through a combination of diet and structured workouts--I lost 10-15 pounds, dropped at least a size (if not more), and achieved weightlifting milestones I never imagined. His emphasis on proper technique ensures workouts are safe and effective, minimizing the risk of injury.
The energy in Gil's group classes is always positive and motivating. He creates a fun and engaging atmosphere where we not only train hard but also have candid, insightful conversations about nutrition and overall wellness.

So welcoming and friendly, always making sure I was pushing myself. Together with Billy they brought the vibes and had great playlists to keep you motivated. I was there for a week and felt like I'd been part of the crew for ages. Couldn't recommend more! Such an awesome team!“

It was not until I began working with Jonathan that I felt that I had the information I needed to heal. And heal I have. Jonathan listened carefully to my descriptions of pain, during the times I was not with him, as well as while working with him. Then he tried different exercises until he found the ones that were pain free but improved my mobility and my strength. I am so lucky to have found Jonathan. He is a thoughtful listener and a creative problem solver. He joins a vast knowledge of exercises with a deep well of compassion. I cannot recommend him enough.“

After hearing about my struggle with back pain when lifting he offered to give me tips on my form and did an incredible stretch session that honestly left me feeling 2 inches taller! I got to meet the manager in Body Mechanix too and they were both so friendly and professional. Thanks for the kindness to someone who isn't even a member (yet) Tarrell. He's the real deal, highly recommend the staff there.“

2708 Willow Pass Rd, Concord“Came here for my first Bootcamp class via ClassPass. When I arrived, I wasn't sure if the place was actually open for business because it was boarded up on the windows. With reassurance from the owner (whose phone number was on Google), it was indeed open for business, I was excited to get moving for my Friday workout. I was introduced to the owner and other people who showed up for the class and I could tell they were regulars. The place looked pretty legit as you know I love legit gyms :-) I was asked to disinfect the bottom of my shoes as street shoes aren't allowed on the floor, since we laid on them for floor workouts. That made me feel better because I ain't tryna rest my head on a floor where people before me don't know where to walk sometimes and you don't know where they come from ahem, SF CITY STREETS!!! This was my first Bootcamp class in a long while so I was pretty thankful that Virgil (owner and trainer) allowed me to modify my workouts. It was a damn good sweat and I had great energy the rest of the day.“
