3702 Grand Ave, Oakland“Left Coast is an absolutely amazing yoga studio! Most classes are warmed to around 82; initially I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy this but I love it. Instructors are warm and friendly, giving clear cues on how to get into the poses with the right alignment, and without hurting yourself. My favorite teachers at this location are Deb and Malka - Deb teaches slower Alignment Flow and Flow + Restore classes and Malka teaches Power Yoga, which is more of an energetic vinyasa flow. Also love some of the newer teachers, like Zach and Malika. Definitely check it out! They have a great new student special - first month of unlimited classes for $75.“

3308 Adeline St, Berkeley“After more than four years between classes, I was so happy to return to Heather's class in person! I was pleasantly surprised to find that Adeline has moved to a new, even better location, just a few doors up. This class was exactly what I need, and I especially appreciate the helpful title: "Continuing Beginner," that's me all right! September will be 9 years I've been practicing yoga, but (almost ) half of that has been (almost) entirely on Zoom so getting in-person adjustments is a welcome change. I come with the heart of a beginner. Thanks for the great class! Also, pro tip for other continuing beginners: if you don't go to Adeline Bakery for a treat after this class ends, you're doing it wrong.“

6239 College Ave #201, Oakland“Symmetry has helped over 2 years, intermittently during the painful moments, where chiropractor adjustment is needed and Symmetry healthcare always is able to do a broad comprehensive healthcare that helps improve my mobility and reduces my pain so that I can get back to exercising. P.S. I'm glad that I can have run-on sentences in my review.“

4226 Park Boulevard, Oakland“I was attending a conference at the Oakland Convention Center and took Amelia's morning yoga class offered on floor 21 of the Marriott. It was a stunning view and Amelia was a great teacher. I really liked the way she spoke about which move was coming next and I felt very comfortable even as a beginner. Highly recommend hiring her if you have an event.“

“I love Yoga Kula - every time I visit the Bay Area I make sure to take some classes here. This place oozes authenticity, inclusiveness and relaxation. The teachers are great and offer a varied selection of classes. I am so grateful that I came across this gem and long-time Berkeley yoga haven many years ago - I have never found a place quite like it. ????“

Basically, it felt most worth my time and money. I learn so many different things from all the teachers that I do not mind driving from Moraga to Oakland 2 to 3 times per week.“

“I've been having some health issues for about 6 months. Kaiser couldn't have cared less to help me heal. I turned to Dr. Feng, and he was able to diagnose the issue on my first appointment. I started seeing results immediately. Went back for a second appointment. I thought they'd want to see me again but they told me I'd be fine and I could come back if I wanted to. Two sessions with Dr Feng and all my issues have completely disappeared. I am so grateful to him.“

2573 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley“Wow ?"I had an incredible experience at the Hot Yoga studio. As a yoga instructor myself, I'm always seeking ways to deepen my practice and reconnect with mindfulness. This studio provided the perfect environment for both. The heat intensified the challenge, pushing me to explore my limits and find new depths in each pose. The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and offered gentle guidance to help me refine my practice. The atmosphere was calming yet energizing, creating a space where I could truly immerse myself in the practice. I left each session feeling rejuvenated, centered, and inspired to continue my yoga journey. Highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to take their practice to the next level!"“

2228 Sixth St, Berkeley“I've received traditional acupuncture sessions for 50+ years from a variety of acupuncture providers in Bay Area, and at last and none too soon, I discovered this superb and experienced acupuncturist! Her office is comfortable, clean and professional, scheduling with a receptionist in the office. Nancy herself is older and wiser than other acupuncturists-she just knows where to put needles after understanding what you need/want in a brief q and a health conversation. She "gets it" and gets to work! My primary reason for this review of Nancy's practice is Nancy-non-judgmental, very caring and experienced, she listens, providing the best possible outcome of presented issues. Also, she doesn't try to sell you herbs, teas, treatments that so many less experienced try to include. Just the basics with compassion, simply and powerfully, reasonably priced.“

268 Arlington Ave #C, Kensington“Eugenia speaks the language of tissues, of muscles, of bodies. She is the first person I have found that has been able to create lasting effects in loosening my tensions and bringing a balance to my body. Her work is much more than physical, it is subtle, and I think this is what makes it so special. She understands the multi-layered aspects to a body, and gives the subtle body attention and care. There is so much listening happening between her and my tissues, I feel that if I talk, I am sometimes interrupting hahaha!I leave her studio feeling like I just left a cocoon; revitalized, accepting, and attuned to my body.Edit: it’s been about over a year since I last saw Eugenia, but I continue to use her attunement lessons in my life.“
5:30AM - 9PM
2567 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley“Amazing teachers and great vibe - very much recommended. Great value vs other gyms as well. I wasn't familiar with Bikram Yoga prior although I practiced many other forms of Yoga. The heated space really up levels the experience and I can totally let go and really engage with my body in a healthy way. Teacher's provide a great balance in which you're "pushed" only so far you're getting the best out of yourself including honoring you're own limits. Overall very much recommended!“
6:30 - 11:30AM
1642 Martin Luther King Jr Way, Berkeley“This studio combines meditation and workout. Studio provides lots of variety of classes. There are excellent teachers there. Although not all are excellent in my view, of course. Yoga mat, blanket, blocks, straps , and tea are available for free. There are many sessions like sound healing, specific trainings, etc... apart from membership. This studio is large and has an open feeling to it due to windows and sunroof. The studio is elegant.“
“Yogalayam is a classical yoga center that is a rare find in the Bay Area. The Director, Saraswathi Devi, is a considered a Senior level teacher and is well known for her dedication and commitment to the people whom she serves. She has dedicated over 40 years to the practice of Prana Yoga, a lineage passed down directly from her teacher (from India), Swami Vignanananda. Saraswathi Devi is most known for the one of a kind Yoga Therapy program that she founded at UC Berkeley which serves yoga practitioners with and without disabilities. She is also known for her full spectrum care of families through the practice of yoga through Pre/Post Natal, her popular Family/Baby classes as well as Yoga and Meditation for all walks of life. Although Saraswathi Devi has in-depth knowledge of yoga as a disciplined way of life, as an experienced teacher she is able to meet you where you are at with care and grace.“
