Oh what can I say about Green Yogi generally and Pete Guinosso specifically? Yoga with Pete is about as perfect a yoga practice as seems humanly possible. Pete is the right balance of spiritual and irreverent, challenging and accessible. His choice of music is great, pacing spot on. He takes the time to ground each practice in a specific thought or intention and provides thoughtful nuggets of wisdom around that intention. More than once I was almost brought to tears in the best way. I am eternally grateful for Pete and the work he does.
By far the best yoga studio in the Bay Area. Both Green Yogi locations have a great mix of styles, teachers, and formats that really work for every body. I started going weekly and now go almost daily. I've noticed such a positive impact on my body and outlook on life. I love that I can take a strong practice with Monika or slow down with some Yin in Carly's class. What sets this studio apart is the emphasis on community. Whether you're a beginner stepping on the mat for the first time or have been practicing asanas all your life, this is the most welcoming, dynamic, and mindful studio you can find in the East Bay.
Green Yogi is a great and very welcoming yoga studio. The studio is a very cozy space in itself. All teachers are excellent and all have different styles of teaching. A lot of teachers also incorporate chanting and meditation as part of their lessons. I am also a beginner to yoga and I love how most classes are paced for people of all levels. This has allowed me to take a lot of different classes that fit my schedule. I especially like the Vinyasa flow classes and the Jivamukti classes. I plan on trying the Yin and Kundalini classes in the future as well.
