I found Cal Window/Fireplace through the manufacturer website.I wanted to see the fireplace in person. I called Cal Window and Fireplace, Patrick let me know they didn't have the fireplace I wanted on display. But he said he could order it and save on the shipping because they're a local dealer.I would still recommend checking out their showroom.I placed my order over the phone. There was a little delay, because the first unit was damaged in shipping so a second unit was sent.The fireplace we purchased was just a prefabricated unit (it's just covered with concrete backer board). “We interviewed 3 companies and chose Peninsula to replace 4 sets of exterior French doors. Their response, attention, timing and price were factors in making our decision. They made several suggestions that we hadn't considered that were very beneficial. They stayed true to schedule and completed the job in 3 days. The real bonus is that their team is wonderful. Nice, considerate, clean, neat and willing to do extra to please. We enjoyed having them at our house and felt comfortable giving them a key so we could continue with our daily schedule. Two major notes. . we wanted to keep hardware that we had recently purchased and they were fine with that while other companies insist on selling you their hardware; the other factor is they paint the doors both inside and out at the shop! I provided them with our paint colors and they had everything perfect. They brought the paint to do minor touch ups when they completed the job, reinstalled our alarm contacts and assured us if we need anything they would be happy to come back out.
