“Love my floors. I had a water leak and had to have part of my front room floor removed down to the support beams. Didn't want carpet again because of allergies and already had hardwood floors in my hallway, kitchen and family room. They came in, sanded down the old hardwood floors and matched up perfectly the front room with the rest of the flooring. Couldn't be happier. They were great and did a wonderful job. “Andrew refinished our 110+ year old Douglas Fir floors on our newly purchased 1906 home and we were blown away by both the quality of his work, and his communication.

We interviewed 3 different companies for our work and Andrew was by far gave us the best experience. 2 refused to come look at the floors in person, saying they only needed to look at photos.1 said, based on the photos, the floor was too far gone to be refinished and would need to be totally replaced ("I've been doing this for 30+ years and I guarantee you that you can't refinish them"). The other went back and forth on whether or not they could be done, but still would not come out for an in person visit. My wife and I were getting really frustrated.

Thankfully we met Andrew with Modern Tech. Andrew happily came over to inspect the floors in person and give us a written estimate. He talked us through which areas would be easy and which would require a bit more attention to detail. Our kitchen in particular was in pretty bad shape and Andrew explained it had one more refinishing in it and that it would need to be done by hand. Altogether he was very confident he could help us. We were so relieved.

His price was fair so we signed up and he started a few days later. During the approximately 1 week of work, Andrew's communication was impeccable. He sent us photo updates every evening along with a short summary of what he had done, what he was working on, and what he would do the next day. We looked forward to these updates every day and were totally confident he was taking good care of our home.

The final results were spectacular. The work has dramatically improved the feel of our home and we could not be happier with our decision to go with Andrew at Modern Tech.

“Joe and his team put in a gorgeous white oak floor throughout my new house in record time. I had a pretty small window to get the work done, and they were there the first day the floors were cleared and ready to go.
