David and his son came out on a Sunday within an hour of my call. If we could do more than 5 stars we would. David mentioned his son is the 4th Generation in this family business started by his grandfather in 1920. That history and experience was obvious from the moment they arrived. The switch was burnt out and they replaced the pump and we had water up and running less than two hours from first phoning them. If you lose your well pump these are the people to call! Mint Collective isn’t just a hair salon, it’s an experience. From the moment I walked in the door and was offered coffee, water, etc to the moment I left- and was asked if I had everything I needed, I felt entirely taken care of. Moving to the area, I tried my best to research a good hair salon- and ended up finding this incredible gem by seeing a gal locally and asking where they got their hair done. (Actual proof of good work!) I made an appointment with Helaina, who asked for pictures and detailed description of what I was looking for. I got exactly what I hoped for, but even better!!! I will be returning, my hair is healthy and the color is perfect.

First time here, and decided it won’t be my last. Last hair cut I had was at least 7 years ago, my hair was pat my waist. The women that cut it back then cut it to about the bottom of my shoulder blades, much shorter than I wanted. I haven’t been to a salon since, until today. I believe it was Carol that cut my hair, and she was incredibly attentive, understanding and did not over step not a single boundary. She cut my hair EXACTLY how I requested, taking all my anxiety away from stepping into a salon. She took her time and educated herself on precisely what I was anxious about, and executed the cut flawlessly. It will take some getting use to, but overall I adore the cut and carol!! I can now finally say I will be going back to a salon!! Took me almost ten years to step foot into another salon, now I’m going to be happy to return! Thank you so very much!

Giovanni’s barbershop in North Akron is a must stop if your are interested in how your hair looks. I have had my haircut by all three gentlemen and they all exceeded expectations not once but do so consistently. It is not a place where the initial cut is good and thereafter just so so. I primarily have Dan cut my hair now as his extended hours seem to lineup best with my scheduling needs. Dan is a great barber, his bald fades or any haircut for that matter are top notch. Any mother who has taken a preteen/teen son to get a haircut knows how dreadful this can be. That was until we found Buckeye barbershop. My son was so happy with haircuts from the moment we left the first time. My son is now 19 and continues to love his haircuts by Roger and lord knows this boy is picky about his hair. He loves that everything runs by appointment so there is never a wait and he's always guaranteed a fresh cut right when needed due to being able to schedule ahead. It used to be a place to groom your furry friends, Dog Kennel and many Years later, a place to get groomed and be pampered, a Barber Shop extraordinaire. Well manicured front yard and rough hewn wood board exterior, I did not know what to expect once inside. But, once I reached the door, a beautiful door, and opened it, a pretty (no beautiful) lady with salt and pepper short, curly hair greeted me with a lovely smile. She was trimming and cutting a gentleman who has gone to her for almost 40 years! We sat comfortably in her living room furniture as I admired her home for healthy hair. She does it all at a well priced menu. I watched as she finely groomed hair, took a unibrow to crafted brows and chiseled moustache. Her place is warm and inviting and decorated with good taste and fine details. Clean and neat with nothing out of place... soothing music playing during your visit. She knows, I am next in her chair!

To start off, I find it difficult to find a place to cut my hair consistently, due to my own picky habits. I've gone to The Devils Strip a few times now and enjoyed every experience. The most recent one on 4-2, Jim cut my hair. I have an issue where I sweat far more than the average person, and I gotta say, Jim handled it like an absolute professional. He never made a deal about me sweating/ how much I was. I made a small mention and gave me a towel - didn't make a deal out of it, didn't dwell on the subject. Continued the haircut and our conversation. Not only did he make me feel welcomed (by remembering me), he worked with myself, and gave me a great haircut.
If you're looking for a 'guy', I promise you he can take care of you. If someone ask picky as me has gone back a few times, you're in good hands.
Went to half a dozen places on a Saturday. Got dirty looks from some and said I needed an appointment blah blah blah. I called Steve at 1:30 and without a whine or cry he accepted my 3 sons as walk ins. My kids look human again and Steve is the friggin man! Thank you sir and much appreciated!
Mr. G. was very nice and down to earth. He is wonderful with cutting children's hair and even has lollipops for them when they are done! His prices are very reasonable and his establishment is clean with plenty of space. Check him out!

I love going here, it is close to my house and the bulbs are great. But there is a reason I gave 4 stars unfortunately. I would have gotten another package by now but I'm just over the lack of higher level beds. If you pay for a certain level bed you shouldn't have to constantly downgrade or PAY to upgrade, or wait 15-20 minutes.. I'm sorry but that's not the customers problem.. I got a level 3 package and maybe used the level 3 bed half the time due to lack of beds. Only one of 3 & 4. And I'm not about to pay 5$ every time when my package was already expensive. And no stand up bed. I may consider coming back once there are more beds. I suggest selling some level 1s and knocking down walls to make room for the beds people actually want. Other than that wonderful place and staff hope to be back one day!

I'm new to tanning and the individual who helped me, completely settled my nerves and helped me understand the process. Even better that I was able to do a load of laundry there and relax in a tanning bed in the mean time. Greatly convenient and recommend the tanning side of the establishment tremendously.
I have been tanning at the Darque Zone since they opened their first salon in Mogadore 20+ years ago. Ashlee the manager is Awesome and a pleasure to deal with, she is knowledgeable about the beds and the products available.
The owners are also great people and they will work with you the best they can should a problem arise.
I see some negative reviews here and honestly try the competitors you’ll be back no where else do you get the tan that you do at the Darque Zone.

I came here because my nail place was closed for vacation for a few days. I chose LUX nails because they were close by (I travel 35 mins to get my nails done). I called them to see if they could take me and they were able to take me immediately! I had Kani and she did an amazing job on my nails and took her time with me. I’m glad I found them because my other nail place was getting sloppy the last few times I had went to them I was not very happy and had contemplated looking for a new nail place anyway. I am SO PICKY when it comes to my brows, when I moved to akron I was still driving 45 minutes away to get my brows because I was so afraid to get someone new. I am beyond the moon I found Samantha here in Akron. She is the absolute best at her craft. Greg and Ron were here within an hour of my calling and fixed my clogged sink drain in no time. They were fast, thorough, polite, and even cleaned up the mess I made before they got here.
I had to have a 1956 galvanized water line replaced with copper from my house to the street. Not the simplest of tasks as my house is perched on a steep hill which required a pretty deep trench to be dug.
The crew was on time, polite, great with the machinery and tools, completed the work with minimal displacement of concrete. It is great to be able to shower and do laundry again! :-)

Jeff the Plumber was a joy to work with. We were able to make an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. Eric, the technician, was able to arrive early and let us know when he was coming. He replaced the disposal (mid-20th Century!) and also snaked a major clog in the sink. Eric is a great guy, the perfect balance between personable and professional. He thoroughly explained what the problem was and what he needed to do and then fixed things with almost no disruption. He even cleaned up after himself though he was so smooth in his execution that there was very little to clean up. I would definitely recommend Jeff the Plumber generally and Eric specifically for any large or small plumbing job.
The serviceman was real professional and seemed knowledgeable on our AC unit. He was upfront that the cost was about $90/hour for the labor plus whatever parts was needed. After about 30minutes he came to the conclusion that due to the coils being dirty was the main reason for causing our unit to flip the circuit breaker. Sounds logical since the system would have to work harder. Also mentioned that the previous tech fill the Freon was overfilled so he drained it a bit. So after a few hours of deep cleaning, our AC was pumping out cool air again. But he did show us a few spots that could be problems in the future. Later on the day, the AC unit broke the circuit again and we're back to square one. I was hoping the cleaning would have fixed the problem. EDIT: The tech did come back to us the following business day, without any cost to us. He provided us with three alternative solutions with estimated costs for each. All-in-all, the tech was well equipped and had a good knowledge of our heating and cooling system (even though it is about ten yrs old).

I've used many electrical contractors in my business, and I happened to stumble upon Jshawn Electric about 3 years ago. I was impressed by how quickly Jerry could come out. He showed up when he said he would, and even called ahead to confirm. I never felt rushed, he took the time explaining the issues and going over what options i had to fix them and Jerry even got back to me later the same day with a quote for services. The work he did for my company was excellent. So great i had him out to my home to hang a large chandelier (which looks spectacular by the way) and a couple new light fixtures in my basement. Also in my basement i wanted some more outlets added which was tricky to figure out due to the way a different company did the finish. But Jerry was able to figure it out with still being able to accommodate what we wanted based on our priorities and what we could afford. Hes never tried to sell us on more work or materials to up the price like alot of companies do. Some jobs needed down payments for some pricey materials and never has been any issues getting what i paid for. Jerrys always been very trustworthing and has always done top notch work at a very reasonable price. I cannot say enough good things about Jshawn Electric and the outstanding service I've always received from Jerry. This establishment is an god send! ? i we only asked an question over the phone about an issue with our ignition/steering wheel being stuck in this cold weather and the man on the phone was so patient and elaborated well enough on our situation that it ended up fixing our problem! I needed a local company to clean up a rental after a tenant move out and contractors and before a showing. Very responsive as we worked through what services needed to be done. The work was really good as well. I found one glaring area where the broiler was not cleaned which is part of their appliance cleaning. I did inform them and sent a picture but didn't get a response.

Bob and team were great to work with for installing new carpet in one of the bedrooms of our new house. We moved across country and worked with Bob and team primarily over the phone. Because there are so many samples to choose from and Bob is very thorough, he recommended reviewing several samples. I needed 56 pieces to complete a job at my home, I spoke to Alex on the phone and he put me with Kari when I went to the showroom. Kari went above and beyond to find those pieces to match what I needed. It was a different company and looked better with my tile than the mosaic that was available in the same brand. We went to Northport Flooring 30 years ago to purchase carpeting for our newly built home. That carpet lasted 30 years and it was time to replace it. Amazing quality to last that long! Naturally we went back to Northport Flooring and we are so happy with the entire experience! We explained to Amanda what we were looking for and brought samples of the paint that was in the rooms. She brought us one of their carpet samples and wouldn’t you know it, we chose the first one that she showed us! It was perfect. Amanda came out and measured our home. The install went very smoothly. I came in to pickup Bona sealer & finish and was provided with excellent service by a knowledgeable individual. Not only did they direct me to what I was looking for but offered a lot of advice with my DIY refinishing in general.
Mistakenly, I walked out the door without two of the five finish hardeners and I called in and was told they'd ship it out to me that day.

I am very pleased with Akron Pest Control. Ryan did a great job. He treated our house on October 2, 2024. I had emailed Akron Pest Control about some insects we found in our bathroom, and some ants we noticed on our deck. When Ryan arrived he asked me about the insects. I gave him the insects we had put in a bag. He examined them and said he would take them back and let some other people look at them to identify them. He said whatever he was spraying should take care of them. He went about spraying and finished in a timely fashion. Before leaving, he told me if we noticed the insects and or ants were around after 30 days, we should contact him. Ryan is always professional, listens to our issues, and treats us like we are very important customers.

We have been on Epcon Lane's regular maintenance plan for years, and I've been super happy with the results and their fair pricing. I love how responsive they are when something pops up and they've been able to keep my lake home under control, when it comes to bugs. Not an easy feat. This will be my 2nd year using Bee-Gon Pest Control and their service is all-around fantastic! Before Bee-Gon, I would barely go outside during the spring & summer because our yard was overrun with bees (I’m allergic & terrified lol) I get my entire house & detached garage sprayed for bees, wasps, hornets, etc. and the spray REALLY lasts all summer/ fall! The reduction in bees is seriously amazing. I can finally enjoy my yard again!

I can only recommend Dr. Eberhardt‘s office. Everybody is super-professional —-> from the office staff to the doctor all the way to the hygienists. I always leave the office super relaxed because I lie down in my chair, and let them do their thing and it’s like a spa visit. Love everything about this practice! I will admit, being the kind of mid-century architecture nerd I am, when I first moved to Akron, I scheduled an appointment here solely because of their gorgeous building. However, I was pleased to find out that the practice itself is just as amazing! I was assigned to Dr. Paraskos, who is wonderful, and have had perfectly pleasant experiences at each subsequent visit. Office staff makes all the admin stuff a breeze, hygienists are all very friendly and kind and help me keep on top of taking care of my smile. I even forgot my preventative antibiotics on one visit and they had some right on site to give to me. There's a reason they're always so busy and booked. I actually look forward to coming here (and getting a seat in front of one of the giant windows looking over the creek)!!

The doctors and staff at Minorik have been taking wonderful care of me since I went to them after an accident in 2018. They were able to find the injury both Crystal Clinic and Summa could not, and had me feeling better before I could get a rehab app with either of those facilities. Always recommend them highly!
I've been with Kaisk chiropractic since he took it over from Dr Dunn. If you're considering coming here you're going to find that Dr Kaisk is a true professional and very courteous. His adjustments have kept me off medications and kept my pain minimal, also he gets me in for adjustments on a moment's notice if I need it. I only wish that he had more massage therapists so that they could get me in on a moment's notice since they stay so busy and booked (that's because they do a great job).
Contacted this chiropractic office because I was in great pain. Lower back pain was almost unbearable and I had trouble getting up. Was seen quickly and doctor asked lots of questions before he did the adjustment. Never had an adjustment done but I feel much better already. Great experience.
I just had my first visit with Dr Gilcher. She is so friendly and kind and has the best energy! She really listened to me and adjusted me very specific to my needs. She doesn’t upsell or pressure or do anything you don’t need. I will be a life long patient at her practice! The receptionist was also very sweet and friendly and the whole office has a great vibe to it. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

I first came to Dr. Baum for prenatal adjustments, I have seen her all through my pregnancy and now postpartum and she is absolutely wonderful! I also brought my newborn in at 6 days old and again a week later, Dr. Baum did a great job addressing any issues my little one had due to the natural physical difficulty of birth, my baby had a hard time lifting his chin up, and with an adjustment it was resolved and helped him nurse more comfortably. Dr. Baum does a wonderful job of explaining everything she is going to do, especially with my little one, in her care I am always mentally relaxed and comfortable, which is saying a lot as I am often anxious/uncomfortable in clinical settings. She always listens to my concerns and any pain complaints I have and addresses them, she also recommended a product which helped my postpartum journey SO much!!! I genuinely cannot recommend this office enough. Not only is Dr. Baum wonderful but the staff are so professional and friendly.

Dr. Patel is a good young doctor. I have had two lesions on my chest a year apart and the first one contained cancer cells. He froze that off and that one has been eliminated.. The second lesion is being treated with a topical ointment and is not cancerous. I’m very pleased with his care.
This should be pet owners one and only choice where to take their Fur kids for surgery. Dr. Owen & Staff are excellent, kind, compassionate and my pup has done so well after TPLO surgery. I so regret not taking my other Fur kid there for the same surgery, she went to the vet Business in Akron & suffered horribly after the surgery for 4 months and unfortunately then passed from Cancer. This vet left an impression on me. Over 20 years ago, there was a stray black lab living around Goodyear’s HQ in Akron. It was late fall and after months of trying to trap the dog to adopt it, I was given Dr. Slenn’s number as he worked with a group who tried to find homes for strays. Dr Slenn volunteered to find the dog and use a tranquilizer dart to capture him.
Unfortunately, the stray dog had a rare condition that made him allergic to the tranquilizer and he died. I know he felt terrible about it as I did, but it was not his fault. This vet loves animals and tries his best! If I still lived in the area and had dogs he would be the first vet I would call!!!

We had an outside cat with a facial injury that had to be seen at once. They were able to give us an appointment on a Saturday morning. Dr. Andray and all of the staff were amazing. They handled the spicy ginger boy with care and he is now sitting in a crate pouting. They helped us take care of him so that he will live a longer better life.

Wash wag is a very convenient place to do a self-serve dog wash, and I usually add the nail trimming service, which is so helpful. They also have a great grooming service, it just costs a little more. I would definitely recommend calling to schedule the appointment because they can get booked up pretty quickly. They always give you a free bandanna when you leave and even have fragrance sprays to make your pup smell extra fresh.
The place is great. The only disadvantage is that it is very close to 339 Lloyd Street, also known as the home of the PDFile of Akron Chance Wilkins.

Nice studio - it is clean and nicely decorated. I have only met the two instructors, but I like them both. I feel comfortable here and welcome. Would definitely recommend Li'l Yoga Shop!
Received good correspondence prior to my appointment about where to enter and where to wait. The experience was good, and i feel the pricing is very reasonable. I went for a lymphatic drainage massage and who would’ve thought it would feel good to get your armpits rubbed. I would recommend to others and will be going back.

I had a really awesome massage from Mathew. His studio space is very welcoming and serene, and Mathew is very kind. He carefully explains the massage process so you don’t just undergo the experience, but you also understand the experience. Mathew is very talented and solicits your feedback to make sure you are comfortable and relaxed. I’m glad I booked my appointment to escape from the everyday and will definitely do it again.

possible appendicitis leak; long er waiting. going on 10 hours now. placed in glass enclosure with very ill/coughing people. one very rude staff as observed with us and 2 other patients. observed one older man walk out with heart symptoms, after being told he had a 12 hour wait. your should have staffed your hospitals here before building a billion dollar facility next to Buckingham Palace. when I feel better, will write more. thank you.
