“Shiny Paws is by far the best grooming service I have ever used. I was able to make an appointment quickly and easily for my dog Bruno and upon arrival I was greeted by amazing staff members. Bruno felt at ease and the communication was excellent as they let me know exactly when I was able to come back to pick him up. My handsome boy will definitely be back again for this amazing service and the cute outfits they sell as well. He was the talk of the town when we left and it was partly because of Shiny Paws and their attention to detail. The rest was just his handsome face of course. Before and After pictures are provided.“

“Houndstown is a must if you live or work in the Dumbo area and are looking for a safe, clean, and wonderful group of people to watch after and care your dog! After trying a few different places in the neighborhood and not loving the experiences, our dog walker suggested that we try this local business and we have had nothing but great experiences. Justine and her team run the business with a human and local touch, which is no always what you expect to find in NYC. The team posts pictures of your furry love every day. They have separate rooms with doors and beds elevated off the ground when you board your puppy, which makes me feel great knowing my dog has his own place to sleep and wind down at night and feel safe. Another great perk is that they offer grooming services and we will typically set it up for the morning before we come to get our puppy after staying for boarding, which makes our life easier when we return from a trip.We love houndstown!“

“When we first came to Hi-bk with our dog Fig it was on a suggestion from a behavior specialist to use daycare to help with mild separation anxiety. Everyone at Hi-bk was very welcoming, and Fig loved it!As we worked on Fig’s separation anxiety we wanted to try boarding him. The first attempt was really hard on him, so much so that we stopped trying boarding for a year. Eventually we tried again but this time asked Richmond if we could build up to it over time. Richmond was very accommodating and the team worked with Fig in his daycare sessions to get comfortable in the kennels. By his next overnight stay he was much better. Now he stays there any time with no problems!We can’t express how grateful we are - it’s made our lives so much easier and we’re so glad Fig has a place to stay or hang out where he’s happy and comfortable. We love that Hi-bk is in the neighborhood and love being part of the Hi-bk community.“

“I have senior dogs under 10pds each. A different grooming place advertised they groomed senior pets. Then when I went to pick them up, I was told they wouldn't groom them anymore. It took under 3 hrs for both of them to get full grooming. Unlike that other place, Doggie Funhouse welcomed my dogs and fully groomed them without any issue. I am grateful.“
