Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group - Park Slope

I went to the new Brooklyn (Park Slope) Heart of Chelsea Veterinarian office for the first time this past week (Feb. 8th), and the visit with my dog was great! I barely waited any time at all before being called in back, the two young ladies at the front were very kind and fun to talk with, and I look forward to going back for my dog’s next visit.

I started bringing my dog here when it was still North Slope Vet and continued bringing him here after it became Heart of Chelsea, and while my experience had always been positive anyway, HoC really elevated this practice. The staff is even more amazing, the experience with the front office is more consistent, and my dog and I were blessed with finding Dr. Torchia, who has been wonderful, thorough, and responsive in helping with my dog's tummy and joint/muscle problems. I try to seek out Dr. Torchia when I can but all of the other vets at this clinic are great too!

I rarely write reviews but really felt the need to praise the folks at Heart of Chelsea in Park Slope. They supported me through the awful process of finding out my beloved kitty was ill and putting her down. I felt VERY supported by Dr. Torchia especially — he patiently explained everything, called me multiple times to check in, helped me feel comfortable I was doing the right thing when the time came. He was so empathic and sweet and practical. Honestly most human doctors I have encountered aren’t that caring. Yes it’s expensive.
