“Alejandro was absolutely incredible with my super senior dog. You can see just how gentle and careful he is in the way he interacts with each dog he encounters and I don't think my little guy could've been in better hands. My little guy does not have the use of his back legs and is generally feeble. The care that Alejandro and team took of my little guy was above and beyond what I could've asked for. They also were preceptive and understanding of MY anxiety and didn't make me feel like I was bothering them with my questions and worries.“

“I've meant to review this place for so long, and now I have a little free time. I just picked my Bouvier Des Flandres up from a groomer in Seattle tonight. There was no rhyme or reason to his haircut. He looked like an abstract painting, and that's not a compliment. I've heard it before: "He's so hard to groom! He doesn't sit still!" I know that. And that's why I wish I still lived in NYC, because I swear, the woman who groomed our Bouvier at Honey's was some kind of dog whisperer, and I've compared every groomer to her since then. NYC, you are LUCKY to have this grooming salon. I remember calling after 5 hours asking, "Is my dog ready?" She answered, breathlessly: "He's a challenge. He doesn't like the clippers. So I brewed myself some coffee and left the clippers on, buzzing near him on the table." She actually gave my dog time to desensitize to the sound, and it was effective. I've tried this myself, but it wasn't the same. I can't recall her name, but whoever you are, you truly have a connection to animals. You are patient, kind, and you are an artist!!! If I could charter my own jet with my dog to your salon, I would!!“
“We only used Throw Me a Bone so far for private training sessions with Jesse. Jesse has been absolutely great, and helped my young puppy (18 weeks old) with some basic training, which has already helped tremendously. Planning to attend group puppy classes and, possibly, grooming in the near future.“

“It's hard to find a groomer that will take and know how to handle a senior dog. We called royal dogs and received an appointment that same day. The groomer was so nice, even made sure to ask if we had a sweater for pickup as it was cold and our dog was getting a very short cut. Our 17 yr old pup can be difficult and does not like to be groomed but the groomer was able to do everything we asked. He groomed him in an hour and when I arrived my dog was laying calmly away from any larger dogs and happy as can be which is not his normal high anxiety behavior. I'm really happy to have found royal dogs and will definitely go back!“
“My black cat, Freddie, is normally a very high-energy, feisty young cat; clipping his claws is a team sport for me and my boyfriend. He started forming a mat on his belly that neither of us had the confidence to deal with, so I reached out to Allie. I was able to schedule an appointment a week after contacting her. Allie took care of Freddie professionally and efficiently, and also gave us some tips to help reduce the likelihood of matting in the future.“

“Stephanie and Sonny provide better dog care than we ever could have imagined — they run an amazing small business, and provide so much value, and we feel soooo lucky that we found them.They are incredibly attentive, communicative, organized, and go above and beyond to make sure that each dog in their care is not only safe - but having a fabulous time.Our pug has some separation anxiety and has historically hated daycares but he LOVES going to Stephanie’s and runs right in. He has made many nice doggy friends (he has his favorite pals. Shout out to Benji, Gus, and Chicken Nugget), gets taken on private potty walks every day (no going inside on fake grass/fake fire hydrant), and I receive fun and hilarious email updates letting me know what he has been up to and who in the “pack” he’s been hanging out with.Initially, we felt nervous and even guilty sending our dog to a daycare, but we knew we had to do it to accommodate our work schedules. Now, we think of Stephanie’s daycare as the best possible enrichment for our dog.Finishing Touches is the best of the best and has my highest recommendation. I have full faith that their grooming services are top notch too, even though we have never used them as our dog has a short coat. The dogs in the “salon” seem very calm and content when I see them during drop off.“

“Atsuko visited for a consultation about my cat. My cat has lost a lot of weight. I have a veterinarian for medical treatment, but was at the point where I really needed more help. Atsuko has a strong feeling for animals. She made suggestions for ways to feed (not type of food, just how to provide the food), litter box placement, and calmed this anxious cat-mom down. Although she does not advertise it, she is an "animal-empath". I tried the ways of feeding and the litterboxes and other suggestions. So far, the results are good! Lily seems far more contented.“

“I’ve been taking my dog to camp canine since he was 5 months old. It was a fantastic socialization experience when he was a puppy and he grew to absolutely love it! It’s been 2.5 years now and he still goes and knows “camp canine” by name. The staff here are so friendly and recognize and greet my dog by name every time he comes! Amanda is the absolute best and treats my dog like an absolute king - will even personally send me photos when he’s there - my dog adores her! The owner Mike is so responsive and truly cares for all of the dogs. Brenda is so caring and sweet with my pup and all of his friends! Lena and Aria are always very responsive and friendly when I call or am dropping off and Lynn goes out of her way to find a spot for my pup when he needs a bath or grooming. Speaking of grooming, I cannot recommend Kathy enough for doodles - she just nails it! I am so grateful to have Camp Canine in the neighborhood and always know my dog is getting the most attention and love when he’s there. Highly recommend!“

Only cons are the huge lack of English spoken, brushing the teeth sometimes and they don't buff the nails just cut. But that's not enough to not go. Grooming for us has been AMAZING“
