Just came for my first consultation at Milan on Franklin street. Sophie and Alexis gave me the warmest welcome as soon as I arrived. Sophie then took me on a great tour with friendly conversation. She did a great job educating me on the process, risks, benefits, and their current promotions. Sophie was extremely personable and even though the Durham location is closer to my apartment, I will be coming back to this location:) Karla did a fantastic job on my Brazilian, I didn’t feel a thing! Dr Cheng is one of the most conscientious and knowledgeable dermatologists that has cared for my sun damaged skin. She is respectful about what she calls the “wisdom” of aging skin. She is also very personable and collaborative with her medical staff during appointments. I highly recommend her.

We were offered drinks and seated promptly for our special pedicure, we got the fall seasonal pedicure that was on sale and enjoyed it a lot! Nothing I hate more than paying good money for a pedicure and then feeling disappointed that it was too rushed. That's not the case here! This will be my go to nail salon in the area- a complete date would be going to the delicious Thai place next door:)

Went to Integrative Holistic Dentistry for a second opinion on a possible root canal. Was very impressed with how thorough the exam was, and how much my entire systematic health was taken into account.
John Kelly's business recently completed a window replacement on the second and third floor of my house in Chapel Hill and I can say without a doubt the experience was the most positive I have ever had with a contractor. The end result was a beautiful and professional installation. In fact, the first floor window installation had been completed by another contractor 2 years ago (exact same window manufacturer), and John was able to show me, in detail, how his installation method is superior to the methods used by most window providers. There are many fine details (adding new window trim molding versus just covering the old window trim by bending thin metal over it) that John took the time to explain to me that I felt at the end of the job I could be confident it was a quality job well done. No shortcuts to save pennies by John (for his own profit and gain) was my gut feeling throughout the job.
John takes the customer experience very serious and keeps you updated on schedules, timing, steps of the installation being worked on, ect. There's no ambiguity like "when is the work crew going to show up" or "how much longer will this take" with John.
The final thing I really appreciated was John found some damaged wood that needed replaced around the exterior of the house and notified me by physically showing me the damage that needed repair, what my options where (fix now or it can wait), and clear and accurate pricing.
We are going to have John paint our entire house in the next 12 months as our confidence in his ability to provide excellent craftsmanship at very reasonable and competitive pricing is solid.
When John first visits to review your project needs, he offers to show you many homes in the area he has completed so you can see the quality for yourself.
Highly recommend this company. It was very refreshing to have such a quality experience with a contractor who obviously cares about craftsmanship and customer experience.

So far so great! :) Julie is really good with curly frizzy hair. More than that, the salon was kind to a first-time client who was both a) in a big rush before a flight the same day and b) late to the appointment and c) could not find the location. One of the receptionists (I feel bad that I can't remember her name) actually came out onto the street and walked a couple of blocks to find me. Above and beyond, and most importantly, a terrific cut that accomplished everything I asked for to the letter. I said "no pyramid shape, please, and make it go in and then out" and Julie translated that piece of gibberish into exactly what I wanted, haha. Well done, will be back. :)

Drew is one of the finest barbers in Chapel Hill. If you are wondering about the quality of his work, just try and get an appointment. It's easier to get a reservation for dinner at the Angus Barn during the Christmas season than it is to get an appointment with Drew. His calendar "opens" one day at a time, five weeks in advance. If you miss the slots for that day, try again tomorrow. He is that busy because he's that good. No, he's not cheap so people don't flock there for the low prices. They go there because you get a great haircut at a price that you're willing to pay for a great haircut.

Very accommodating and welcoming. Appreciate the offer of a beverage. Their color selection is exceptional. If you pick a color and don't like it you can pick another with no complaints. Love the automated check in capability saves time and confusion. I am always pleased.

After looking at the reviews here on Yelp I was hesitant to try this place. However, I did notice that a lot of the reviews don't mention who their nail tech was that handled their service, which is a bit annoying because as a new customer you want to make sure you don't get that bad nail tech. Sooo, I'm reviewing my experience for my nail tech, KIM. I should start by saying that Kim has been amazing! I wanted to wait to write a review because with nails you want to make sure they don't chip, break, etc. I have been here now 3X's, all my appointments have been with Kim, and my nails have never looked better. She is patient and a perfectionist, where other nail techs are rushing to get you in and out, she takes her time to make sure the job is done correctly. I get dip mani, and usually a regular pedicure. I request her to do both. They last a long time with no breaks, chips, snags, etc. I will say that the prices have gone up. This last time I went I ended up paying more than the previous times and I did not even get a color on my feet. Just a regular pedicure and a dip mani. Not sure if it's a holiday thing, or what, but will need to pay more attention next time. Cute place, clean, and busy. Make an appointment, especially now during the holidays.

Had been in Chapel Hill for a while. Time for a haircut. I did a Yelp search and saw that Salon 135 got 5 stars, so decided to check it out.
I had the chance to stop by in person and made an appointment last night for a haircut this afternoon. The lady at the front desk was quite friendly, and she assigned me to Jennifer because she is more experienced at cutting straight hair.
It was the Homecoming weekend, I had trouble finding parking, so I was about 15 minutes late when I arrived at the salon this afternoon. Jennifer was working on her client who had an appointment before me because he was 20 minutes late. So I had to wait for about 10 additional minute until she finished.
Jennifer was friendly and professional! She gave suggestions and worked with me on deciding the hairstyle I was getting. We had a good conversation during the haircut. I requested an additional layer when she was ready to wrap up. She immediately worked on it without further ado. My whole cut, which involved cutting away about 6 inches with lots of layering, took about 50 minutes from start to finish.
All in all, Salon 135 has a friendly and professional staff. The $38 women cut was worth the price!

RUN DONT WALK! I had the pleasure of receiving a facial from Amanda and wow...it was spectacular. Not only was the space so, so cute, it had incredible calming energy so it was easy to enter the room and start to relax. The facial itself was a true delight. I booked my appoint with the Owner Kimberly. I recently had a Tattoo done on my forearm by a different Tattoo shop and was not satisfied. I then was lucky enough to find Golden Falcon Tattoo. Kimberly fixed my Tattoo and went above and beyond in making sure it was perfect. I couldn’t recommend this shop enough. I will most definitely be returning in the near future for further work. Took them alittle while to get to my truck which cost me some work, (there was an illness to staff- understandable). They made good on the rekey and I think learn something about business. All said, if the staff is well they can rekey and reprogram just about any car, I would not hesitate to use them again. Definitely cheaper and quicker than any car dealer.

We recently purchased a home in Chapel Hill North Carolina and needed to replace all the carpets. We had a very specific timeline to meet between when the owner moved out and when our movers arrived. We used this company 26 years ago for the kitchen granite countertops in our custom built home. At 26 years later they still look brand new and have never needed to be polished! And we USE our kitchen. We had a small concern regarding one area of the backsplash that seemed to have shifted. They came out a few days later and addressed the issue to our complete satisfaction, coming out on time. Jeff was totally professional and explained what had occurred. We have been extremely pleased with Bobby Horton’s work. We initially hired him to remodel one of our bathrooms, which was a complicated job involving a major reconfiguration (e.g. adding a new door to the hall, reposition the guts of plumbing and electrical). He did a truly great job, and had excellent aesthetic suggestions. A year after working with him on the bathroom, we hired him to remodel our whole upstairs - again, he pays great attention to detail, and has excellent suggestions on what will work best. Now, we've asked him thoroughly update the house exterior. The most important thing is that I trust Bobby thoroughly and all of his employees.
Alex and John are fantastic builders. They reconstructed a large deck for us and even though the manufacturer had some order and supply problems they were consistent in following up and keeping us informed.
They are so professional and precise in their building. I highly recommend them!

We recently completed our home we built with Carol Ann. She was wonderful to work with and has a great team. Carol Ann can tell immediately what you like and dislike and keep you on track. Jason was a pleasure to work with too. He always kept us updated and completed everything on time. They both made you feel like you were their only client.Their crew is efficient and take pride in their work. Outside, I wanted to keep as many trees as possible and they worked with us to accomplish that.
Had a great experience from start to finish. Alex was extremely pleasant and quoted exactly what the scope of work would entail. They started within a few days of us accepting teh quote. Thes team was very respectful of our property, worked with a minimum of noise, and took the time to show us exactly what they did at the end of the day. The entire work area was left clean and tidy. They did a great job and I appreciate the clear communication and professionalism.

I have been meaning to leave Dr. Saib a review for like 10 years. He is an outstanding cosmetic dentist. I had four veneers done at his practice 10+ years ago and the experience has been amazing. No complaints at all - time-proven, quality work. People have been complimenting my teeth for years, and seemingly no one has any idea I have veneers - exactly the job we aimed to accomplish during our consultation sessions.In terms of the experience, Dr. Saib is a deeply knowledgeable and trusted partner, has a ton of empathy for his patients, and is meticulous with his craft. Even 10 years after the procedure, he still replied to my texts and sent me my files for an urgent emergency procedure in another state. I cannot recommend him enough. I did a tour of doctors in the CH/Raleigh area when I lived there, and he is the best, most empathetic dental doctor, full stop. Go see him.

First of all Dr.McCauley LISTENED to me describe every detail of my problem! Next he EXPLAINED in detail his approach using an anatomy book, Mr. Bones and tangible models. Dr.Sean, as his office staff calls him is personable, kind, friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate! I also enjoyed talking to Tye who made my appointments and provided the laser treatment.
I'm so grateful for these health care providers! With their knowledge, expertise, and treatments, my knee pain is healed! After only a couple treatments, I could walk again without limping or pain. Friendly and professional people, make appointments a positive experience.
I have been in chronic pain for many years. I have tried medications and injections with little lasting relief. This is a great place to get an adjustment! I went shortly after giving birth and Dr. Yurkovich was very thorough and quick. Angela at the front desk is amazing, she does the therapies as well as hold/calm down crying babies so mom can get her appt done. I would recommend them to everyone! During the summer of 2022, our then 16-year-old daughter, Tori, let us know that she was having difficulty breathing while running, especially during hard workouts. Her breathing was labored and shallow. She told us it felt like I was breathing through a straw.
We started to pray for Tori’s lungs to be opened so she could breathe.
We sought advice from conventional health-care professionals about immune deficiency disorders, iron deficiency, and exercise-induced asthma. Tori tried an inhaler. It didn’t work. In fact, nothing worked.
Because Tori couldn’t breathe, she cut back on her training and races were full of anxiety about whether she would be able to breathe.
On September 17, 2022, Tori reached rock-bottom at a cross country race. She finished well-back in the pack. She was very disappointed and discouraged and was thinking of quitting.
My bride was able to get Tori an appointment with Dr. Gangemi. He diagnosed Tori’s problem as a diaphragm impingement and was able to fix the cause of her not being able to breathe. Prayer answered. Tori competed in the 2022 state meet, finishing 6th.
Tori has seen highs and lows – winning states as a sophomore, not being able to breathe as a junior and almost quitting yet finishing 6th at the 2022 state meet. This past season, she finished 2nd as a senior at the state cross country meet and received an athletic scholarship to run cross country and track at Hillsdale College.
To state the obvious, none of Tori’s accomplishments would have happened without God answering our prayer and guiding us to Dr. Gangemi and his holistic health care approach to fixing the problem, not the symptoms. We are extremely grateful.

I’ve been coming to Acupractic Healing Center for over two years now. I seen much improvement in my balance and posture, actually I no longer am dependent on my cane. Dr. Oskardmay and her staff are very caring and they really listen to my concerns. I appreciate how Dr. Oskardmay will tell me what procedure is about to preform before she does it. I’ve had other Chiropractors who were only interested in selling me their products, but not interested in me. Dr. Oskardmay cares!

Dr Cheng is one of the most conscientious and knowledgeable dermatologists that has cared for my sun damaged skin. She is respectful about what she calls the “wisdom” of aging skin. She is also very personable and collaborative with her medical staff during appointments. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Goldstein was great when she performed MOHs surgery on my nose. I am pretty much a wimp & she engaged conversation to put me at ease during the procedure. This is my second time using urgent vet in Chapel Hill and both times were excellent. The staff there is top notch. They took good care of my fur baby. It was closing time and they never made me feel rushed.

Dr. Gordon and Dr. Robertson are both amazing, though we mostly saw Dr. Gordon. The whole patient care team—Madeline, Samantha, and Cassidy—has been fantastic. They've made coordinating Zane’s care easy and helped me manage costs which was a lifesaver for me as a student. We just finished Zane’s first surgery (neutering), and everything went smoothly. Overall, Meadowmont Animal Hospital has made caring for Zane much less stressful. I highly recommend them!
This is one of the best yoga studios I have ever been to! The atmosphere is bright and welcoming. I love the encouragement walls. The instructors are absolutely AMAZING! I want to give shout out to Shelley, Kesley Bender, Dachin and Nimesha. My favorite class is the Feel Better Weights...come and check it out.
I have been taking classes at Franklin Street Yoga for about a year now. I found the studio right after I moved here and it quickly became my favorite thing about Chapel Hill. All of the instructors are wonderful. There are a wide variety of classes so there is surely something for everyone. I highly recommend this studio to any and all yoga students!

I had a craniosacral massage therapy with Sarah. We started by having a conversation about what brought me to her. Right away, I felt comfortable opening up to her. The massage that followed was gentle yet powerful. I could really feel my body release pent up emotions, which is what craniosacral massage is so good at doing. I got the massage two weeks ago and can still feel its effects. I will definitely go back to Sarah's space for follow ups!

Victoria is fantastic!! She is the ultimate professional! She always asks questions at the beginning of each session to try and get an idea of troubling areas at that time. She then does a very thorough assessment and begins the treatment. There was one time that I forgot to tell her about a specific issue I was having before treatment. I could tell she found it during her assessment and worked on that area. I was amazed! She always consults at the end of each treatment, explains exactly what she found and offers movements that can be done at home to improve any areas of concern. Sometimes she will even pull out her anatomy book to explain. Highly recommend!
Within Wellness was highly recommended by my personal trainer. I was not disappointed. Allen has years of prior experience as a trainer himself, and he is unusually qualified to tailor his massage therapy to individual problem areas. He listens carefully to the client’s questions, communicates clearly and explains carefully the techniques he is using. Allen is a thoroughly professional therapist. I have recommended him to several friends, and my wife has already booked her first appointment! (Note: you may want to book early during the academic year, since Allen will typically have a full schedule with university athletes in the area.)
Sarah has amazing gifts that can help you connect with your soul, gain spiritual clarity, release burdens (emotional, physical, karmic), get unstuck, and find your path to your most authentic expression. I recommend all of her services. I think I have tried them all and have benefited beyond measure by our work together. Sarah is safe, nonjudgmental, gentle, intuitive, and powerful. She is the best massage therapist I know, but she is so much more. If you are curious about her other offerings, give them a try. I have been amazed by how she has facilitated my growth and healing. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Frank is the best masseuse I’ve ever worked with for my upper back, shoulder and hip tightness. His background was in wrestling and that’s what catalyzed his career in massage therapy, so he approaches the work in a very unique way tied to addressing the entirety of muscles caught up in trigger points. I’ve never been to anyone like him before. ? ? ?
I’ve been coming here for over 5 years, and I always feel so at peace after a sound bath. It’s healing, meditative, and eases my anxiety and stress. Daran plays singing bowls, tuning forks, and the didgeridoo. My favorite is feeling the frequency of the drum playing over my body. Daran and Edie are kindhearted, and their space is warm and inviting. If you haven’t come here for a sound bath yet you are missing out!

This is my go-to place as a senior runner. Always professional and attentive to my specific issues. I’ve had several different therapists, but they all have a keen sense of where the issues are. Will definitely be coming back especially after long runs.
Natalie is wonderful! She worked with our daughter for over a year to correct her torticollis and to correct a foot that was turned out as she was learning to stand up and walk. We preferred Natalie over clinics in the area because she performed in home visits and was flexible for two parents with hectic work schedules. We are so thankful to Natalie for being patient and gentle with our daughter, while also giving us the tools and guidance to help our daughter on our own once we no longer needed her. We cannot recommend working with her enough!
I received physical therapy for arthritis in my neck and thoracic spine related to DISH. Dr. Jay is a caring and knowledgeable therapist who gave me excellent care. He has convenient office hours and was flexible to adjust to my work schedule. I am doing much better thanks to him! I would highly recommend Dr. Jay to anyone with spine problems/back and neck pain.

Wow, where to start?! The team at Results PT were remarkable, and helped me rehabilitate my knee from a total replacement surgery. Marissa is an extraordinary Physical Therapist who truly listens and cares about her patients. Jen was her student assistant, and she too was very personable, knowledgeable and caring. They both were very supportive and committed to my desire to get back to an active lifestyle, to include playing basketball again! I am forever grateful for their professionalism and friendly / fun style of care. I couldn't have had a more perfect PT experience, and although they worked me lovingly hard, I am walking normally again, and played basketball for the first time in over a year, and that's only 20 weeks after my most recent knee surgery! Anyone would be lucky to be able to have Results PT, Marrisa (and Brittany, RPT receptionist) for their rehabilitation services! Thank you!
After being referred by my boss, Virginia was able to see me in a pinch to help alleviate some significant neck discomfort/restricted mobility. The appointment was quick and painless, and she was so kind and personable. I will most definitely be booking another appointment to look further into my neck/shoulder issues and get them resolved!!
It was hard to make the physical therapy appointment even though my insurance doesn't require a referral. But once I got my PCP to call one in, I had a great experience with several of the physical therapists. It's clearly one of the higher functioning, effective departments at UNC. (Minus whoever answers the phone.)
I originally started acupuncture here because my cholesterol was high and my doctor wanted to put me on a statin right away. However, after seeing Ning for just over a month, I was able to lower my cholesterol and not need the medicine. Ning is able to pinpoint exactly what I need at every session and prepare appropriate and proper herbs. She listens and knows exactly what to do each time and is honestly the most helpful practitioner I've been to. I have a lot of digestive and stress issues as well that she is able to treat in each session as well as with recommendations outside of the sessions. I can't praise her highly enough.
Michelle has been able to release pain and tension due to arthritis in my spine. She moved forward with my health adding better circulation for my overall well-being. For good measure I even had her work on a bit of a facelift of sorts. The treatments have been miraculous and my health has improved vastly. Dr Li Lin is a Wonderful Acupuncturist! She's very nice, her office is lovely and has a peaceful vibe, and the parking is usually easy. Her needling is excellent and her treatments really helped me recover from a moment of intense stress and exhaustion that was severely impacting my body and disrupting my normal good energy with loads of anxiety and cortilsol. She also put together an herbal formula for me to help me continue to heal in between treatments and it really helped. I put a couple of teaspoons of it in hot water in the mornings and drink it like a tea. I highly recommend Dr Li Lin!
