“The most holistic place I have ever done personal training. Health focused, scientifically minded, and performance and outcomes driven. Kaylee is an incredible trainer and physical therapist, and the rest of the staff at C3 shines as well. Chi, the owner of the gym brings together many years of personal and professional experience with high level athletic training, and imbues this knowledge into his team.“

“I took my first ever Pilates class here about 6 months ago and I haven’t stopped since. The teachers are amazing - particularly as a beginner, they made the learning process really encouraging. I’ve felt more and more confident with each class and most importantly, so much stronger. I suffer from chronic back issues and these classes (generally 2x/week) have improved my overall health so much. I am so grateful to this studio and each of its teachers!“

“I have been training with Kathleen since she was at her previous studio so at least 6 years. I started with her afternoon mat classes but once I injured my back and was done with PT I started private training with her on the suggestion of my PT to help continue the progress and my rehab. She listened, moved at an appropriate pace for me and with time and perseverance my back is feeling better.I have stuck with Pilates training, even doing Zoom mat sessions during the pandemic as and this surprised me I love it. I see Kathleen privately one day a week and participate in a semi-private group with my husband on another day. My husband also does a private but with Larry… note he only started training as he wanted to see what I was so excited about and why I was fitting into my clothing better. The studio itself is lovely, light and spotless. You can tell that both Kathleen and her business partner, Larry (who is fabulous as well), really care about the space.“

Helena Chang/Educated Body Pilates

“I have been working with Helena for about two years and she is just an awesome instructor and educator. She always explains things (how your body works and where is the source of the problem), and gives instructions in an effective and intuitive way to make sure you can get them and exercise in the right way.

I came to her as I notice that I have a chronic problem with my right knee—it would hurt whenever I took a long walk or run. After my training with her and adjusting the ways I use my legs and feet, I don’t even remember when was the last time my right knee bothered me. Moreover, I can feel my body much better now. Before, I felt my body was like a whole piece. Whenever I moved, I moved everything together unconsciously and if I didn’t feel well, I could not ever identify exactly where the problem was. Now I can feel parts of my body better and better and can coordinate them by focusing on specific parts. I definitely consider myself lucky having the chance to work with her!“

LYON Pilates Pilates

“Swan is amazing! I've had private Pilates sessions at many locations around the country, and her teaching techniques far surpass any others! After years of practicing Pilates - both machine and mat - I learned form from Swan that vastly improved my practice beginning with our first class. She doesn't just take you through the Pilates routine - she teaches you posture, proper muscle movement, body alignment and techniques that take the workouts to a different level. I stand, walk and and do other workouts differently (and more effectively) now thanks to Swan's tips for improving my Pilates workout. If you are looking for a great Pilates session and techniques to take your workout to the next level, I highly recommend booking classes at LYON Pilates!!“

The Pilates Lab Pilates

“I have taken private pilates with Sonja for years in studio and virtually, and was thrilled to follow her when she opened The Pilates Lab to continue my sessions. Aside from being sunshine in human form, Sonja is an absolute genius when it comes to the body. She has helped me recover from injuries, manage my scoliosis, and achieve all of my goals. I'm stronger and more body-aware than ever before. Sessions are therapeutic and challenging and Sonja somehow knows what my body is needing the second I walk through the door without me saying a word. I've even been able to avoid chronic migraines by practicing releases that Sonja's taught me. Easily the best Boston-based trainer I have worked with and quite possibly the most beautiful studio I've ever worked out in.“

“Pure Pilates is a wonderful studio. The trainers are professional and motivating. I have been training with Melissa for about a year and a half, and it's hard to explain just how much of a difference it has made in my life. If you've never tried pilates, this is a great place to start, and if you're a pilates veteran, you'll still be able to be challenged at this studio. The prices are also really reasonable.“

“I checked out Intro to Sensual Flow with J/Moanczar Z. The professionalism was on point but what really stood out was their balance of structured guidance, affirmative support, and encouragement of finding my own expression. Nothing was overwhelming, any needs I had were quickly, easily, and properly accommodated. The 1 hr class was on par with a high end somatic therapy session. Will look forward to returning.“

Club Pilates Pilates

“I love Club Pilates Club Pilates at Assembly Row, Somerville and try to attend 5 classes per week. The instructors are a pleasure to work with and are all great. They are very knowledgeable, offer variations of the exercise to fit your need, are very attentive and friendly. The front desk ladies are also extremely helpful and ready to assist with whatever you need. I am not a fan of exercising but have joined several different classes and gyms, and always found excuses not to go. But as I age, I find that I need to keep moving to avoid the aches and pains. I became a member of Club Pilates in January, and except for vacations and a few days of not feeling well, I have been going consistently. I no longer make excuses not to go, because I enjoy the classes very much and look forward to my next class. I highly recommend giving Club Pilates a try with their 30 minute introductory class.“
