Movement Remedies has been fantastic for me. I have dealt with many injuries and surgeries over the years and Pilates work for pain sufferers has been huge I’m returning me to regular activity. In the past I have engaged in very intense workouts only to frequently experience setbacks in my pain experience. Movement remedies not only makes me body feel great but it is an intense and nightly targeted workout! DK is am amazing instructor and friend and is so knowledgeable about the body and how to make sure you get exactly what your body needs!

DK has created a studio unlike so many in Boston. She gets to know everyone and why they decided to come to Movement Remedies. That is what often informs the class, how everyone is feeling, what’s hurting and what we can do to strengthen (not just stretch!) those parts of our bodies. I walk out of class feeling more aligned and accomplished every time.

I have worked with DK and, what I found impressive was not just her ability to speak to pilates, but, she is truly an expert in pain management. She is a compassionate provider who will start where you are at now, and, work with you to understand and overcome the physical and emotional barriers that might be holding you back. I also attended her stress management workshop with my boyfriend and we both thought it fantastic. I highly recommend working with DK.

From Movement Remedies

Our mission at Movement Remedies is to help people with persistent musculoskeletal pain achieve confidence and comfort in daily activity through Pilates, pain education and trauma-informed teaching. We are a self-care-forward movement studio that has no interest in weight loss, diet or how one looks in a bathing suit. We exist to serve the 1 in 4 U.S. adults suffering from chronic pain every day who have been through physical therapy and maybe even surgery and are looking for a path forward toward improved mobility, strength and balance. We primarily work with people privately or in small groups and we host educational workshops for our community a few times a year.
