“We love The Rock! Our son has been doing taekwondo there for over a year and a half and we are so impressed. The masters not only want them to do well in class but out of class as well. My son was struggling with behavior issues at school and Master Carr took time to sit down with him, encourage him, and come up with a plan to improve! Highly recommend!“

“We are only in our third week here and I have nothing but praise for this Martial Arts school. My kiddo is naturally shy with new people and the staff have been so welcoming, patient, and understanding with him. I love seeing him smile throughout class!“

“Master Black and Ms. Toussaint are amazing. Let's start there. They are both welcoming and engaging for adults and kids alike. Now for the martial arts. I had a 6 year old and an 8 year old when we first signed up, and my wife and I were both quick to join in and begin training as a family, even though we didn't have a clue about anything to do with martial arts! The family aspect is great. It is a great workout and even better to work together AT ONE TIME and practice together. It has given a great avenue for conversation that is connected and reinforced by our training (such as working on belief and communication). Such a good way to experience failure with your kids and see the rewards of perseverance. Both my kids failed to get their belt promotion their first cycle (3 month periods)- but am very proud to see both on their way to getting that belt promotion. At first we heard words like I can't do it or a number of other excuses- but now that they have had some success- it is great to see how their confidence has changed. On top of that- the schedule is flexible! For beginners- there are 6 classes a week we can choose from week to week, which is great to be able to shift from week to week depending on other activities we have going! That is a huge value for our family.“

“Popped in tonight at Katharo training center for the first time. Got some excellent open mat jiujitsu training. Coach Alajandro I believe was his name(brown belt), greeted me with the utmost hospitality and that was very appreciated. He showed me around the facility and I was very impressed. Every one who trained tonight was super tough and extremely welcoming. I love schools that are just down right kind to newcomers. Thanks for letting me train tonight, ossssss.“

“Nico is the best instructor! My kids love him and respect him. My son was 5 when he started, and had difficulty listening, focusing, and following instructions, especially in school. The discipline, respect, and humility they have learned at the dojo has helped tremendously, and my son is doing significantly better in school, I believe due to the values and lessons he has learned from Z-Ultimate. My daughter is small for her age, but is more confident in herself since taking karate. She loves the competition and having a safe place to spar with her brother (while being supervised) is a huge bonus!“
