“Been coming here for Muay Thai a little over 2 years and it's become something I look forward to every week. I've seen my skills slowly improve over time. Sparring is kept light and technical unless it's the fighters getting ready for competition. They also have very fair business practices.“

“I dropped in for two classes on a trip to SF and had a great time! I’m an adult green belt visiting from Boston. The senseis are very attentive and the students very welcoming. You’ll find great technical instruction and tough randori rounds here.

From what I saw of the kids classes, there were a lot of students and the senseis worked well with the kids.

I wish I had more time in SF to train here and will definitely try to visit again.“

“My whole family has been going to Bay Area Martial Arts Academy for several years now and I have to say they are wonderful. So this review is definitely long overdue. Both my daughters have gained so much strength and discipline from the instructor (Mr Agoff). I love the life lessons he instills in them as well. The kids learn self defense, how to fall properly, stick work, different fighting forms, and the importance of training and hard work. They also work on strength and stamina and the belts are earned and not just given. Definitely lucky that we have this local gem so close to home. Also nice that my husband goes there too so the three of them can train together.“

“This is a duplicate review. Unsure what happened. My 5 yr old son takes private Taekwondo classes with Master D. He's been going for a few months now, and we've seen such a great improvement. My son is high energy and would prefer to throw himself up against the wall and roll around, but Master D is super patient with him. That and a combo of his kind but firm approach has helped my son truly love Taekwondo, and he enjoys seeing Master D every week. Master D. truly is the "kid whisperer." Cannot recommend enough!“

“I've been coming here for Muay Thai since 2020. The facilities are clean, the instructors are excellent and really care about the students, and most of all, it's a wonderful community. I highly recommend checking out this gym, and they also have fundamental classes for beginners if you're new to it. Both the MT instructors, Rocky and Carlo, are very friendly, welcoming, highly knowledgeable about martial arts, and push you to become better. The classes are always both fun and informative. Great place to go whether you just want a great workout or go deeper in learning about martial arts.“

“The gym is pretty big, clean and they got everything a mma needs and the air conditioning is also good. I went for bjj and muy Thai since a co worker recommend the gym and it was free. I can't complain I had fun and the coach there are good people and legit. The only part I would be worried about is finding parking. If you want to drop by and try a class the 1st class is free.“

“My family and I were biking in the area and saw this place under construction. We were just looking inside and was greeted by Master Rick. He told us that this place will be a Taekwondo place. I was super excited to hear that this was opening in the area. Grand opening day was August 26, 2019. This place is spacious, high ceiling, very comfortable and clean. I do not feel like I’m cramped.My daughter and son was super excited and waited patiently for this place to open. The first day of class, my kids fell in love with Taekwondo and also felt comfortable with Master Rick teaching. My kids takes a very long time to open up with anyone, but with Master Rick, instant connection, very easy to talk to, very knowledgeable on Taekwondo, professional. Kids were having fun.My kids been training with Master Rick since the day he first opened up at this location, so it’s been 1 year and a half. Love this place and all the students in the Dojang.If you want to learn Taekwondo, this is the place to go to.“
