I took it to one shop in SF specializing in MacBooks that recommended against a repair because the expected cost would be more than a new MacBook. I decided to try one more shop... Dork Tec. Anthony who was there was so knowledgeable and seemed to know exactly what was wrong and quoted me much MUCH less than the price tag of a new computer. He had it fixed in days and was very easy to communicate (we texted). My computer was BACK... but then months later I had a camera issue. Anthony agreed to take a look at the issue, no charge. After his various attempts, the camera was still not connecting. He offered to micro-solder something to something and it worked. I don't know any customer service place that has this kind of quick and honest service. “This review is way overdue! Last October my company signed a lease on a new office space without realizing that the location did not have LAN installed in all the areas we needed. So we quoted a number of companies found on Yelp. Due to the small spec of our project, larger networking companies actually refused to quote. Through the quote process, Gagy was very detailed and also proposed more efficient solutions for our installation. His quote was also more reasonable than the other ones we received so we hired him. Installation process was done overnight on a weekend. All the old cables were removed and new ones routed where we wanted. When Comcast came to activate our network and had a problem, I called Gagy and he came back to assist and make sure everything worked. I also hired him to troubleshoot a connectivity issue in the house I just purchased. Turns out one end of the cable was snipped so he fixed that. Definitely recommend Gagy for any networking projects.“
