“I heard about Greg and Fix It Now Computers on NextDoor and tried him a while back for a problem on my office computer with good results. This time the problem was my kitchen computer: The screen would scroll all the way to the bottom, very quickly. I couldn't stop it. Then I couldn't get it to scroll back up to where I wanted to view it.I explained that when I called Greg and he asked if I had changed my mouse battery, saying I should try that and call him back if that didn't work. I tried that and it didn't work. I tested the battery and it was only slightly down.Then it occurred to me that I had a new mouse for my office computer sitting on my desk, still in the package. “For years we used AT&T and we hated them. The Ecology Center in Berkeley recommended Alternative Technologies and I highly recommend them for so many reasons: 1) Any time I've had tech support issues, they have been super responsive. Unlike AT&T, you can actually reach a human being at Alternative Tech and they spend time on your issue until it's resolved. 2) They are actually quite a bit cheaper than AT&T, both their monthly fee and their phones / hardware 3) There is an awesome cell phone app which means now I can answer the shop phone anywhere and I can still answer the phone even when power goes out 4) This is a local Berkeley company with super friendly and patient staff.
