My daughter is a patient and the hospital overall is not good and the nurses need more training it don't make no sense. But the physical therapy department including Occupational therapy and speech therapy did a wonderful job with my daughter and her recovery. Dr. Kamin is a great eye doctor. I went to another eye doctor two times because my vision was very blurry, and I could not focus on paperwork. I decided to make an appointment Dr. Kamin's office because I can conveniently shop at Costco afterwards and I am very glad I did. I cannot believe I paid more than twice the amount of money at the first eye doctor. Dr. Kamin really knows what he is doing and took his time with me to make sure I got the right prescription. I am taking a lot of classes this year, so I really appreciate his efforts. He is a knowledgeable professional and I would recommend him to anyone.

Great experience going to Leon's salon. Easy to get to the salon and huge parking lot. The salon was so nice. I showed Leon some pictures so he would have an idea of what I would like. After trying several other hair salons Leon absolutely got it. I was so pleased and happy that I found a salon and hair stylist who listens and I can trust to accomplish what I have wanted.

Thea is by far the BEST hair stylist out there! I have been going to her for 8+ years and have always been extremely happy with my hair styles. Her flat irons are next level so much so I drive 90 minutes from my house to get one! I love her haircuts (I get long layers with curtain bangs), the clip ins she makes are high quality and last forever. Plus she gives the best hair shampoos! Best of all Thea really cares for my hair as if it were her own. She's patient and explains what my hair needs always focused on getting my hair to a health state. Also, Jazmen who does braids in the salon does phenomenal braids! I could not recommend Thea and Jazmen enough. Run don't walk and book them. Modish Mane will always be my favorite salon!

Went in on a Monday and Myrna did a wonderful job and took the care to make sure my cut was how I wanted it before finishing up.

Best barber in town . I got thin hair so a lot of barbers have trouble doing fades . I used to go to another spot down the street but he didn't have any time to do my haircut so I decided to give Kevin a shot. This was about 5 years ago. I never went back to my old barber. Cash only . Decent pricing compared to barber shops .
The service at Style studios easily exceeds the 5 star rating allowed. Been getting cut by Dee for 20 plus years. Doesn't matter what the cut is he is a master at his craft. Best Hands in the Bay….. I always leave feeling good and receiving compliments on my hair cut. The shop is also kid friendly I have daughters that have always went with me to get cut and the shop talk is always kid friendly.

Old school haircuts in a old school shop with old school prices and an old school vibe. Gave my kid what could be described as "1980's boy", like he could be an extra on Stranger Things and wear a raglan and get in fights. And you know that? It was great! Kid loved it! He was so happy. And as a little sportster he loved sitting around baseball and football memorabilia.

I took my son here a few months back. And I can not remember who cut his hair but they did a great job. Very accommodating for my toddler who was a screaming mess during his hair cut. When he was all finished my son loved it and wouldn't stop looking in the mirror when we got home. It's got A cool vibe and is a great location
Super! Everything I'm looking for and at a good price! Only downside is you've got to book up to 6 weeks in advance, but well worth it!! And, it's not just Sam who is great but other barbers there as well, and you can likely schedule an appointment sooner. For example, I have also had a few great cuts with Randy.

If you feel the technician took your money come back and look at the camera. That is only fair. When you get on Google and slander someone business without proof could backfire on you. My wedding is around the corner and I needed my lashes done as soon as possible, since I don't know how to put on false lashes... Thankfully I was recommended to check this location out, since I live in Downtown San Leandro area and they told me to request for Maggie. I called in and asked if there were last minute appointments this week, and luckily Maggie was able to book me for Friday @ 4:30PM. Parking was easy, since there is a plaza right across! I came in 15 minutes early, and Maggie was more than happy to take me in early! The vibe at this location was very therapeutic and comfy. All the estheticians there have their own private rooms with calming music and clean working station. I love how friendly, patient, and calm hands that Maggie has; she made me feel really comfortable when getting my lashes done. I would highly recommend her and come back to this location again when I have a special occasion! These lashes last quite some time, she stated. I love how natural my lashes look, since I don't like fully thick lashes! If full thick lashes are your type, she does that too! Thank you Maggie for a nice first time experience!

I called in for last minute appointment. It was around 12:45pm and by 1:00 I was there. Soon as I walked in I was seated and Natalie began to cut my hair. I'm very appreciative that Natalie knew exactly how much hair to cut off. I told her I wanted it right below the shoulder and she did just that! She made sure not to over cut my hair. She cut off a good amount without making my hair look too short and Im very happy with the new length because I have wavy frizzy hair and if it's cut too short it puffs up badly. Natalie did not rush through my hair cut and it was fairly quick. She was also gentle. Good price for hair cut too, not overpriced. I was also glad they accepted card payments. THANK YOU!
Their products work! Even moving across state I still order their Retinol, Super brighter, Mandelic, Markless sunscreen. Haven't been able to find any other products that work on my skin like Clinically clears.

Was looking for a masseuse in San Leandro and feel lucky to have stumbled on Carrie. The studio doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is well-decorated and calming on the inside and Carrie is professional and thoughtful in her treatment. Parking is easy. She does a mix of Swedish, deep tissue, trigger points and other modalities and says she specializes in working with clients with pain. She really worked out my "animals" -- knots on my shoulders, back and forearms that felt so much better afterwards. I drifted off a bit and in the end was only sad that I didn't book for 90 mins.
I just got my lashes done by Sherie for my baby shower and they are absolutely perfect! I went with the classic eyelash and originally picked the brown lashes but as she was working through them she thought it would be best to mix black and brown tint for a more fuller look. She is an expert and really does what's best for her clients. 10 out of 10 recommend her for this service. I will be back for sure and want to try out more of her services down the line. And her head/neck/shoulder massages consistently hits the spot!!!
I went in for the first time and the young lady that did my eyelashes and eyebrows did not achieve what I wanted so I booked a fill and the business owner was the one there and she asked what I would like if I have pictures and I showed her and stated how the young girl that did my lashes did not give what I asked and the brows washed off after a week. So she said she wants her customers to be happy and she will make sure I'm happy with the services I paid for. Fill was free and she did my eyebrow tinting over again. Very friendly and energy was welcoming. I was so excited I went back twice after and would've continued going back but lost my job.
My tattoo artist is Mallory Reynolds, and I will only go to her for my tattoos. She is such a kind and compassionate person, she’s great for newbies and veterans of the tattoo world. I’m severely needle phobic and she has worked really hard with me so I could get my pieces done. She’s done 4 out 5 of my tattoos and she even fixed one of them that I got at another shop. She fairly charges for her art and I’ve never have felt like I was being scammed by her. During the tattoo she checks in repeatedly and never makes you feel bad if you have to take a break. I’m so looking forward to working with her again on my next pieces. 10 out of 10 I truly recommend her.
Ben was amazing during consultation, preparation, the design process and in his client/customer care. The vibe of all the artists in the shop was really comfortable and welcoming. Given that this was my first time getting a tattoo, Ben was really thorough in exploring the process and putting my concerns at ease while being very honest and transparent. I have been using them for years. I had an emergency project in an old house. They responded quickly and were able to schedule the work quickly. They had to reroute piping, tie into an old system, and update valving. They needed to trench and go through external walls but worked hard to minimize damage. Their experience really showed working with the old plumbing. Great work, great communication, very reasonable price.
My old tankless water heater died about 14 months ago and Keith installed a new Navien replacement unit. Keith did a fantastic job, working within a very tight space and adjusting plumbing fittings to work within the constraints. Two months later, the water heater stopped working. Keith responded immediately and noted that a manufacturing issue had been discovered that resulted in many units with bad control boards. In order to process a warranty claim, Keith was supposed to diagnose our bad unit, send it in, and order a replacement. To save time, Keith ordered a replacement at his risk and replaced the control board the next day.Now, 14 months later and I wanted to perform annual maintenance to descale the unit. The procedure I used on my old water heater did not work and once again Keith responded promptly and suggested a possible solution. Worked first try! I really appreciate Keith's customer service and workmanship. Keep up the amazing work!

11/10! My shower would not drain at all so I called Albion. They were able to come out same day on a Friday and take care of it. They were super friendly , thorough and efficient over the phone and the technician who came out was just as great. He was in and out and had the problem fixed in no time. I have used Albion before and would not hesitate to call them again.

I was actually wanting to use a small business local in Alameda but the one I called didn’t offer a post protection as Stanley Steemer did with Deodorize, Clean & Protect and since I have 2 large dogs, went with SS even though they were initially higher in cost. After they arrived and Oscar looked at what needed to be done, he mentioned the cost would be less than what the website had for the initial quote.
I have course accepted and in about an hour, they finished two rooms and two staircases Nice and quick and it looked great I would definitely use SS again.

It’s been a few weeks since our new kitchen floor was installed, and I wanted to share how happy we are with the outcome and with the work. Almost every day one of us will stop in the kitchen and say “wow it looks so beautiful.” Flamingo's Flooring showed excellent attention to detail, and the craftsmanship and care shown by the installers really make the difference. For a smaller operation they easily compete with and surpass any "big guys" out there. We had fast, personal, and courteous attention every step of the way from the home visit to installation and after. They have the inventory and experience to do any job from a small vinyl installation on up. What's more, it's all personal, one-on-one, and caring -- no 800 numbers or anonymous websites.

We hired Villatoro & M Construction (VC) for a whole house remodel. Our project included everything from seismic and electrical upgrades to a full kitchen and bath remodeling. They literally took almost every wall down to the studs then rebuilt them with new windows, doors, wiring, insulation and wall board. The final result looks amazing. During the process, VC worked diligently to get the job done in less than six months. They have a large crew and were able to schedule whatever resource was needed in a timely manner- sometimes having 8 to 10 workers on site at a time. Several key staff were onsite regularly and seemed to take personal interest in the project outcome. But one of the key qualities that we appreciated most about VC is the integrity of Victor, Victor Jr and Milton. They provided a transparent proposal and fulfilled each requirement with professionalism and craftsmanship. They started the project strong and finished it just as strong!
I needed to have a retaining wall in my backyard replaced. I got estimates from three contractors. Oscar Construction's estimate was the lowest, and its estimate included some features that weren't included in the next lowest estimate. At first, I was a bit reluctant to accept Oscar's estimate simply because I sometimes wonder whether the contractor that gives the lowest estimate will unwisely "cut corners" so as hold costs down. But I was satisfied with Oscar's responses to all of my questions, so I accepted the proposal. I'm glad I did. The work exceeded my expectations in multiple respects. The work was done efficiently and for a reasonable price. (And Oscar, the proprietor, is friendly, open and responsive--very good to work with.)
A year ago, the total remodel of our kitchen in our 1936 home was completed. I waited to write a review to determine the lasting satisfaction of the remodel. The remodel was a full demo of the old kitchen including removing a wall to add an arch between the kitchen and the dining room. Replacement of two windows. Full custom cabinetry allowed us to have exactly the fit and function we desired. All new up-sized appliances (from Friedmans Appliances in Pleasant Hill...highly recommended). The new kitchen was fitted with new hardwood floors that were made to perfectly match the existing floors in the living room and dining room Overall, the kitchen is gorgeous and its function fits exactly how we want to use a kitchen Welte was great to work with. It started with a thorough review of the plans and a detailed proposal which included what work was planned, expected timeframe and committed costs. The project itself went very smoothly. Protection of the existing spaces was always top priority (including awareness and care of our two indoor cats). Some change orders along the way were added to cover requests that were not part of the initial plan. Welte used some subcontractors for things like flooring and dry wall construction. They stood by the quality of those that did work for them. The people were very professional and personable. It was a pleasure to work with them, which included a project manager (Andrew), project coordinator (Julie), lead craftsman (Rick who was on site every workday) and assistant (Al), and specialists as needed (e.g. electrician). Bill Welte, the owner, was always accessible and oversaw the project to assure top quality, a very easy job for him as the skill and talent of his crew was top notch. There may be less expensive contractors but we got full value from the high level of quality and workmanship. As a thank you from Bill for trusting Welte Construction with our remodel, after the project was completed he paid to have all the windows in our home professionally cleaned. A very nice touch. So, one year later... We are still totally enamored with our kitchen. The quality was put in from the get go and I know it will stand up for years to come. I highly recommend Welte Construction for any projects you may be considering. The bigger the better I believe.

If you are needing a crown and would like to have it done on the same day, Preferred Dental is your place. Dr. Scott has the technology in his office to make the crown and best of all, the fit of the crown is perfect. It is very apparent to me that Dr. Scott has experience and knowledge to make a great crown. My experience with crowns at other dentists had either too much of a gap or the bite wasn't right and I needed to go and have the crown adjusted. I moved out of state and after a negative experience with another dentist, I decided to return to Preferred Dental Care.

Where has Dr.Pasalo been all my life!!! She's is the best dentist I have ever come across in all my years of getting dental done. She thoroughly explains every step she takes in ensuring what is being done to my tooth, how they'll fix anything, recommendations and most of all the COMFORTABILITY. She always adds her input and suggestions which I HIGHLY respect. And her voice!! I focus hard on not falling asleep because her voice is so relaxing! It really helps calm your nerves. I was about to get my whole mouth numb and told her how nervous I was, she checked my teeth and said she could probably just number the top because the bottom cavity wasn't too bad. She also told me the pain level wouldn't be severe but I can raise my hand if it's uncomfortable. She would stop a minute in just to ask if it hurt at all to ensure I was comfortable. Saved me from another shot! How great is that! In addition, her assistant Valarie is so great at doing her part. You know that SpongeBob meme where it's a picture of SpongeBob with water in his mouth and it says when the assistant leave you there lol. No Valarie is great! At my previous dental places the dentist would leave the suction hanging there in my mouth or the assistant wouldn't be doing a thurough job and I'd just choke on the water, but Valarie makes sure im never left hanging and always asks if I'm doing ok giving me the chance to ask any questions. She would also make a great dentist in the future! I also really like the fact that Dr. pasalo is very kind to everyone, I know many dentist who treat their assistants poorly & are very condescending but Dr.Pasalo is very kind to her staff and speaks in a tone of voice where you are equal as her. Love that Front staff is also amazing, I forgot but a young white girl w glasses is also great, she thoroughly explains my bills and whatever I have left to pay. I don't feel pressured in any sense and is great to have the opportunity go through my options. One of the best experiences I ever had in a dental place so I had to make this review.

Dr Luong was very patient when we first met and showed me the Xray followed with an adjustment in our first visit. The first visit adjustment was awesome and I never felt better after the service. Dr. Cannone has been my go-to chiropractor for years. The last time I went he told me that the problem I had was not chiropractic but required conventional medical treatment. I went to BCBS and they misdiagnosed my problem. When I went to the VA, they finally did an MRI and found the real problem, spinal stenosis. Rather than opt for chiropractic, Dr Cannone sent me in the right direction and after surgery, my back is 100%.
Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Burt. He is a very kind and funny man. I felt so much better after a few weeks of treatment with him. I feel after my treatment plan is complete I will be frequenting to get adjustments. He is also very organized so when you go in for your visits you don't spend long. Would definitely recommend!

Dr. Yi is a compassionate and thorough practitioner. I was under his care for 2 months for treatment of my back from an auto injury. The initial appointment, he took an x-ray of my spine and evaluated my spine to note as a baseline so that we could see the improvement over time.By the end of my treatment, my back had improved. He did a mid-way evaluation and then end of treatment evaluation where he recorded the degree of my curvatures of my neck and spine in various positions. He also taught me stretches to continue doing to maintain the health of my neck and back.I would 10/10 recommend him.If there is a wait time, it is < 5 minutes. I have never waited more than that. Most times I was seen exactly at my appointment time.

This is my new massage spot! Mimi gave me one of the best massages I've had in years. I have a huge surgery scar on my back, and I think it kind of freaks people out and they don't really touch the area. Mimi saw it and said very matter of factly, "oh, you've had surgery. Massage is very good after surgery". She massaged the area gently and I could feel my nerves working to reconnect. My friend had a massage as well and loved it and said she's definitely coming back too. They are clean, professional, have very strong hands, and care about giving a good experience. I called and got two appointments for the same day which was also great. 10/10, definitely recommend!
This place is a true gem! Tucked away in a small shopping trip on MacArthur at the edge of San Leandro, I wasn't expecting much when I walked in. My lower back was a mess and I needed immediate help so I chose UO. Much to my surprise, this was one of the best experiences I've had with a massage therapist. Colin is the man! He was extremely skilled at identifying the issue and figuring out how to help. Bonus points, he's full of wisdom and humor. I cannot recommend UO enough as it's one of the best massages I've received at a relatively affordable price point! Add it to you list!

It was a good massage but, like so many others in these comments reported, they shook me down to increase the tip at the end thus ruining my experience. I tipped 20% which is typical for a decent massage.
Management might consider how to address this rudeness as a lot of people don't want to return after this behavior and it's negatively effecting his business.
Perhaps Management needs to pay the workers a bit more so they they don't accost your customers for money.
Honestly, one of the best massages I have ever received. Haiying really coached me on my body and went in on helping my hips. She wasn't afraid to really do a deep dive on all knot's. She definitely convinced me that this needs to happen Monthly. Your health is your wealth. I truly appreciate people like that.
