“Update #2 -5 years in and still a happy camper.I have worked with 3 trainers over my 5 years and each has been excellent. I am now 75, and probably the oldest student. Today I had some strength training done at a doctor's and he commented on my awesome hamstring flexibity and overall strength. Asked if I was a dancer and said, "Well you should be." when I said no." When I got here 5 years ago, I couldn't stand on one foot for more than 5 seconds, and the idea of a plank had never entered my mind! Needless to say, I am a convert to weight training. Thanks 5:17, especially Helen and Jennette!Update: OK folks- it is several months later and I am still at it. I am in my early 70's, and am amazed how well this works. My strength is increasing monthly, my gait is strong, and it has even improved my concentration. I am able to maintain a healthy weight- always hard for me before! Well worth it both financially and in improved health.First review: I am new to the gym but am impressed with the approach Jeanette uses to engage me and assess my fitness. She is super friendly and supportive, but not intrusive. Her highly personalized approach has me looking forward to my workouts, not dreading them as I do most exercise!“

“Keith is an extraordinary small business owner and really sets the bar high as far as personal trainers go. I have been working with Keith for years and I have really gone from someone who dreads weights to enjoying it and making it a regular part of my life. When I first started with Keith I could barely get 10 reps with the bar on bench press. Now my PR is 250 and can rep 225. His attention to form and plethora of knowledge in all things fitness, nutrition, and body building is well worth the extremely competitive price. A small note to the naïve/inconsiderate: Always remember that small businesses are still that: a business and should be respected as such. Keith's customer rapport is unparalleled, mutual respect and understanding is paramount.“

“Sonia was introduced to me by my friend when I had a severe back pain after having my first child. It was so bad that my husband thought I was in greater pain than when I was in labor. Through her gentle and detailed sessions, Sonia gave me back my normal life and more strength to prepare for welcoming one more child. After COVID, my now teenager daughter and I are back in the studio to get back in shape and to get stronger together. I cannot recommend Sonia enough for all levels of fitness.“

“I have been training with Matt for the past two and a half years. It has been an incredible experience, especially during the pandemic. He is very thoughtful and thorough in his approach to develop a custom workout plan, considering goals, capabilities, and general life circumstances. He has been very reliable and professional and flexible when necessary due to my work schedule changes. We rarely repeated a workout, almost every time we met the routine was different, though still focusing on the same muscle groups which made it interesting and fun. Also shared his knowledge about nutrition, which is another important component when working out. I can highly recommend Matt, no matter at what state of your fitness journey you are, at the beginning, advanced or a pro. He will help you reach your goals.“

“Left Coast is the best private gym in the Bay Area, I train with Coach Brent and he and the whole staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and provide a stellar workout atmosphere. The gym is clean, spacious, and full of great equipment, machines, shower, bodywork tables, and stretching areas. You can tell the owner and staff really care about the facility. 5 stars most definitely, and that’s an understatement.“

“In the few months since I started working out with Jen at Vitae Fitness, I have already seen and felt tremendous changes in my body and mind. In the first session, Jen spent time getting to know me and the reasons I came to train. Then she developed workouts for me to meet those goals. In addition, Jen put together workouts I can do at home with the minimal equipment I have there, to get in more sessions for a reasonable investment. At first, I was going once a week for a private session. Later I added a semi-private session each week with another client who has similar goals and fitness level. Every workout is different while using some known moves so as not to be overwhelming. Jen is positive and both fun and funny. She pushes without being pushy and adjusts when needed without letting me completely bail out. The gym is a modest sized CrossFit set up. The people who work and work out there are incredibly welcoming. I have had no injuries and am finding that many old aches have gone away. Most of all, Jen has helped me build confidence in my body and belief that I am strong and capable.“
