If you are looking to instill discipline, respect and self confidence in your child, then this is the right place for you. Coach Renan is extremely dedicated to bringing out the best in your child by developing strong listening and communication skills, physical agility and teamwork. They always make sure your child is in a safe and respectful environment, immediately resolving any class distractions - which sometimes includes overly excited parents. During their sessions, I usually hang out in the waiting area, observing how the students are not just mastering Taekwondo, but also developing a range of other valuable abilities and positive mindsets. It's clear that Master Park is an exceptional instructor. I have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone, regardless of age or skill level.“

They also offer morning workout classes that get me energized for the day. I also love that they provide all of the equipment you could ask for like the basics of mats and blocks to the more extra things like straps, blankets, mat cleaner, etc. It really feels like a community at this studio and I highly recommend!!“

Over that time ive really benefitted from his detailed teachings and his wide breadth of martial arts experience. Even a few years in im still learning new things from him and class is still physically a great workout. Id definitely recommend trying a class to anyone who is interested.“
“last i read a review that ended 'the old man teaching' with 1 star.. if someone refers to someone as 'old man' they are not going to be good for any school. disrespect is not in the hurang creed nor in any creed of moral behaviors and standards worthy of attention.“

The place is welcoming, overly clean and it's a great art you can do for the rest of your life.“

2000 Van Ness Ave Suite #507, San Francisco“Earlier this year, I was healed of a circadian rhythm disorder by a naturopath. I could tell that my kidneys were involved , so I decided to fine tune my kidney health via acupuncture (kidneys control sleep in TCM), and that's when I began working with the aptly-named Charity. It was a great decision. She taught me to drink way more than I thought was necessary, to do moxa on myself, and to drink nettle leaf infusions from time to time to tonify my kidneys. A few years ago, a psychic told me that someone who owes me money will pay me back, and when they do, I was to spend it on "pleasure." So, when my former boss paid me some back wages, I had Charity do a 12-session facial rejuvenation package on me, as well. The effect of this treatment-- like ironing out the dents-- is subtle and takes time; I think it may be working even after the sessions are completed. A couple of weeks after the last session, I met a man, who happens to be half my age, and we are now in a relationship. Thank you, Charity! It's always lovely to have a great, caring healer to help you feel your best physically and emotionally. Besides all that, I felt like Charity became my friend. We laughed a lot! She was generous with her knowledge and time when possible (Wednesdays) and I learned a lot from her. Ladies, listen to Charity's videos on her webpage. If you feel like you resonate with her thought process, you owe it to yourselves to experience Charity helping you to be your best.“

635 San Mateo Ave, San Bruno“Really liked this place. The first real time I tried judo. It felt legit. The instructor was good (Sensei Chris?) and I appreciated that he paid attention to the newbies, giving more detailed explanations and tips. Everyone was beyond just nice. The students (black belts and lower belts) were abnormally friendly and supportive. It had a great atmosphere. I only went to the Tuesday adult class but it was a very diverse mix of students from older to younger (including two new 57 year old students) and from experienced to newbies. I also liked the venue. Nothing fancy, but It felt like a real old time school, which is my style.“
“Every time I visit FICA I feel very welcomed by the students and instructors. The quality of instruction is exceptional, and they build you up gradually. After every class at FICA I feel I have learned so much, and gone beyond what I thought myself capable of - physically, musically, and spiritually. The relaxed Angola music puts me at ease, I feel relaxed and playful when learning. I never feel stressed or pressure to perform. Angola is an invitation to explore the internal rhythms inside, to bring what's inside out, to create. After a class at FICA, I feel more in touch with myself in everything I do the rest of the day. I primarily train Contemporânea at Capoeira Irmandade in Santa Clara (closer to where I live), and I find that Angola makes me more well-rounded as a capoeirista. Sometimes Contemporânea can be very fast paced and I can get caught up in movement and achievement and Angola puts the soul back into it. I deeply love the Angola style, it is very beautiful. The music also. If you ever have a chance to visit FICA, I highly recommend it. Helpful Hints: Angoleiros are very particular about dress codes. Wear shoes and pants with a t-shirt tucked in (no tank tops). Also sometimes it gets cold, so I'd suggest bringing a sweater.“

1319 20th Ave b, San Francisco“OGE Instructor/escrimador Evan Rubin teaches with a great deal of precision and exlposiveness. He has been such a positive model for me to emulate--even if I am really far off. I've really seen an improvement in my sparring and technique because Evan will come at me like we're live; he'll stretch my comfort zone and that has been critical for my growth. The PT also solid here. Whether you are looking for self-defense, or a family-type of club, you would do well to train here. Bonus for your significant other: your glute game will improve with OGE. With OGE you're joining a direct line of escrimador lineage going back to WWII Congressional Medal recipient Leo Giron. Join the fam!“

I gained basic knowledge of what to do in certain situations & what they taught us were sufficient enough. They're hands on and I appreciate them taking the time to make sure our technique is there.“
