I called when they first opened to make a same day appointment for pedicures for my husband and I and they were able to fit us in and were very friendly. We just finished the pedicures and they were perfect! The chair was comfortable with a built in massager. The lavender scrub and hot stones were a nice touch, we will definitely be back!

I had a consult for a curl permanent, so glad they do this so we're not surprised after the perm. They are completely honest after testing one rod, I appreciate their opinion and wouldn't want to take a chance having my hair break or change color if we went ahead without testing. Everyone there seems to be in a nice happy mood, I like it.

Absolutely the most amazing experience and worth everything. At 40 I feel I am too young for losing my hair and so much thinning. I have natural curly hair and it used to be beautiful, and due to so many body and hair changes, I chopped it to shoulder length and regrets kicked in immediately. I felt it made me feel and look old. Did the online form and within a day was booked with Lindsey. The day came, and I was so nervous and scared. She walked me through the process, talked about my preferences and suggestions and we were started. She was fun and light hearted to be around, made the entire experience so easy. I left feeling like myself and have gotten so many compliments from people I don't even know.

So I recently discovered that the reason my hair was ALWAYS frizzy and never looked good was because I have wavy hair?! I saw Quincy recommended a couple times for curly cuts (not to start a discussion of whether or not waves are a type of curl) and decided to give her a shot since I had only ever gotten cuts for straight hair. I gave her not much more than "I want my waves to look good ?" and she was able to turn that into a reality. My hair has never looked better and I don't even have to try! Which is perfect because I am not a person that has ever gotten into taking any time to style my hair before work. Good bye constant pony tail because my hair never cooperates and hello hair that actually makes me feel confident.

I only let Mary touch my head anymore. She fixes all of my self-done catastrophes like cutting my own bangs or coloring my own hair. I dyed my hair blue and purple when I went through divorce, and she used her expertise to restore my hair back to normalcy when I was done being crazy about the life changes. She makes excellent suggestions for cuts, color, and product, and she is a great listener.

GREAT HAIR STUDIO!!Eric, who cut my hair, was amazing and courteous. He actually was not at the studio when I had called, but he drove back just to meet me there for a hair cut. Now THAT’S customer service. Since our beloved friend Covid happened, I have noticed an extreme decline in customer service. However, there are people out there who still go above and beyond - and Eric is definitely one of those people. I will definitely be returning and using him again. Thanks girl! honestly if i could rate these guys higher I would. I needed a specific haircut for a cosplay I was doing and they took 1 image and brought the whole thing to life. I've gotten so many compliments on my hair it's ridiculous. the woman who answered the phone was the nicest person I've ever spoken to over the phone, and that's saying somethin considering I work a front desk myself. honestly if you want a good cut with an amazing experience this is the place to get it! So my haircut was great no complaints there. My only issue is I was told cash only, so had to get cash out $75 for the cut, that’s kinda high to me pre tip… am I wrong? when I always tip at least 20% ended up getting out 100 and told me he couldn’t break it…. Just kinda felt like I was getting taken. But legit the cut was great!
I got a low fade and loved it. Great service and good atmosphere! I was happy with the price because my barber took a lot of care to get me what I was looking for. I can't imagine there is a better place around for under $50.

We were in town for another appointment and decided to make appointments for my 2 boys. I was beyond impressed by the hair cuts Gino did for them. He is a true artist and was also very patient with my nervous 9 year old. I watched everyone who was working and they were all extremely talented. We live several hours away but I plan to come back for sure.
I live out of state and wanted a spray tan before my wedding in Anchorage. I wasn't able to get a trial tan since I don't live in AK so I trusted K's Airbrush Tans off the great reviews and I'm so glad I did! I wanted a natural glow to avoid looking too pale against my white dress. My tan by Kayla turned out great and the results lasted through my week-long honeymoon after!
I called on a Saturday and asked how late they were open until. The phone girl said 8pm. I asked if they had a 6:20 or 6:40 available in the Open Sun and she said both. I said I’d take the 6:40 and she got my last and first name. I showed up on time to find the store dark and open sign off. The sign on the front door said they were only open until 8pm on weekdays and weekends was 6pm. I laughed and thought to myself how could they schedule me for after close? Now, you’re probably asking yourself why I still have them 5 stars. I messaged them on social media and explained what happened. They apologized, said they would talk to their staff and put a free tan on my account. That was good enough for me. Mistakes happen, they owned up to it and made it right. Their facilities are always clean and staff friendly and knowledgeable. I’m sure this was just a one off with an in training employee. I’ve tanned at Sunsation off and on since I was in high school, and I’m now 38, so for 22 years. They will always have my business.

My husband bought me a gift certificate from here and I finally had the opportunity to use it. This place gets booked quickly and walking in is a gamble, so making an appointment is a must! I got a gel extension manicure and a gel pedicure here about 2 weeks ago, and not only are they gorgeous, but they've completely held up in quality. They did a wonderful job on the design I asked for and were pleasant and nice to be around. I loved Sunny and Stormy too. I hadn't yet found great quality manicures in Alaska, but now that I know about Hollywood Nails, I will be back whenever I'm in Anchorage.

I like to get a pedi every 2-3 weeks. The setting is calm and relaxing. The pedi is great and the polish lasts till my next visit, and would probably last quite a while beyond that! The massages are the best I have ever had while getting a pedi. I would highly recommend a visit!!

I have very sensitive skin (rosacea) and am limited to what I can use. This is the cleanest, most purest line of products I have ever found. My face is especially happy to have moisturizing creams that nourish, not agitate my skin. While I enjoy many of the products, my favorites are the Moisturizing Cleansing Cream and the Peptide Treatment Cream. Especially loving it during these dry months of winter! I highly recommend.

I got my 1st micro-needling session from the owner Sohyun and it was absolutely amazing! The service was top notch with an after cooling mask and scalp massage that was heavenly. I healed so well I decided to come back for the 2nd session of micro- needling and she added in a 10 minute session of red light therapy after to assist with the healing process and I do feel like it helped! The spa carries Aveda products that are vegan and cruelty free. I just love everything about this place and highly recommend it.
Jen is truly awesome! ? I've had many facials at many spots, in and out of Anchorage, and the one that I got at Pure Skincare was top notch. When you arrive, you're led to a room that is comforting and relaxing. When the facial starts, you're introduced to pure bliss. Jen went thru some options but I basically left it up to her. She explained everything that she was doing very well. Not only did it feel great during the facial but I cannot remember my skin looking so good after any of the others. Lai (owner) graciously accomodated us after we inquired to walk-in. She called us when she had an opening and we were able to get our design drawn out and started really quickly. She took our Inspo pic and created an image to our liking and adjusted where we requested. The shop has a $100 minimum. It was really clean and being that there were three of us getting a friendship tattoo, we watched her rigorous change out of tools and other materials at her station between each of us. We will be back and highly recommend SDI Tattoo.

She called around a lot of places and Darrell (the new owner of this shop) was able to get her in and get it done. He was professional and friendly. He explained why the tattoo had to be bigger than she wanted (due to it being in color). It was a great experience, great price, and great looking tattoo. I myself will get a tattoo from him too.

Service Technician, Keith thoroughly assessed the problem and worked tirelessly for over a week working with water pump manufacturer to warranty my water pump. Installation was corrected and communication was clear throughout the process. Accounts Receivable, Daniel Sobek was responsive and professional while providing follow-up to incorrect coding for billing invoice. Work order was coded correctly and was covered by warranty. They stand by their 1 year warranty service no questioned asked and advocated for Dab to replace the water pump. I have worked with Living Waters on two occasions and highly recommend using their services. I will call them in the future!

If you're looking for a great company to come clean your carpets - look no further. I'll spare you the details but one of my kids had a smelly "accident" all down the stairs. We were certain that the carpets were going to have to be replaced. So thankful though for Clean Team. I had a great experience with the entire team from Avalanche Construction. Thankfully, my crawlspace project was an isolated issue. I appreciated the professionalism and knowledge from Rick. Everyday Mackenzie and Kate communicated well and asked if I any questions or concerns surrounding the project. Had a wonderful experience with the workers, both Pavlo and Micheal. They were courtesy, on time, and transparent. Lastly, I appreciated the professionalism of the entire team.
I had 2 houses with garage floor drains that were cast iron and totally rusted out and leaking sewer gas. Rock and his crew came out and inspected the job, came up with a plan and back up plan, gave me a quote and got on the job right away. Rock stayed in contact with me every day and gave me progress reports and updates. They relined the two drains, connectedto the sewer line, installed new floor drains, back filled the holes and poured new concrete. The crew was very professional and on time when they said they would arrive, they did. Not often I get to see a company pay such close attention to detail and to keep the customer well informed from start to finish. The job was completed within the time frame that was estimated. The job sites were cleaned up after the work was completed. I would without a doubt call Rock and the folks at NuFlow Alaska again if I need such work done.

I was scared after my experience at BTY dental. At BTY dental, they argued with me over the mold stuff, for dentures, running down my throat. I told the person at Mint about this, and they assured me that it wouldn't happen there.
Each person has a room at Mint unlike others. Most dentist offices are just curtains. The other awesome the thing is they have a lab in the office. No waiting for them to be sent off and come back several times.

I'm extremely excited to share that Nordstrom Clinic offers the Soft Wave therapy. I've had surgery on my shoulder in 2016, they mistakenly tore the labrum that lifts the arm. I was in Alaska and developed low back pain. Was looking like I was going to have to limit what I could do on our trip but Dr Cornelius Botha agreed to see me as a new patient on short notice and got me on the same day. He worked on by back for almost an hour and got it to release. His dedication to his craft and caring for me was greatly appreciated. We were able to fully enjoy the rest or our trip and I was pain free. I have continued with the exercises that he taught me and I have remained pain free.

Dr Barringer is amazing, you can tell that he truly listens and cares about his patients. He has treated everyone in my family and even when I haven't been in for a long time, will go out of his way to get me on the schedule if I'm hurting and takes the time to make sure I'm feeling better before I leave. Best chiropractor I've had, doesn't just pop your bones and go, he has helped me with ART Therapy, stretching, exercises I can do at home, advice on healthier living, etc. His office staff is super sweet and knowledgeable and the massage therapists I've seen in his office are wonderful too. My puppy had ingested a pill that had been dropped on the floor. My (used to be) regular veterinary hospital was too busy to try to save my puppy. THEY sent me to another vet that was also too busy to try to save my puppy. Now, keep in mind that the entire time, the clock is ticking down on my puppy. They MUST be treated within an hour. The second place sent me to Alpine. I walked in, and they scooped her up and treated her, no delay. I have since had my records transferred to Alpine and have already used them for one of our other dogs. I am sad to leave my other veterinary, but most of the vets are in the process of retiring, and I'm not very impressed with the one left. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to be very happy with my new doggie doctors!

Please don't listen to all of the negative reviews. I have had nothing but incredible service and care for all of the animals I have brought here. Customer service has always been very helpful and polite when I call. I had to reschedule at the last minute and it was taken care of quickly and professionally. The process to request a spay can seem cumbersome but the person that answered when I called the first time walked me through the process happily. The fact that it is about 5 times less money to have a dog spayed/neutered here helps as well.

Wonderful facility and staff! Everyone is helpful and understanding. They helped teach my new puppy to swim, and have been a great place to take my 2 labradors for years. They bath/grooming facility is excellent, with hookups and gates to contain anxious bathers.

i had a hard time finding a groomer for my 14 1/2 year old dog, because he has arthritis and is deaf and sometimes grumpy, but Lauren did a really good job grooming him and he was not stressed when he came home.

A great groom done on my cat! Making an appointment was easy. Left a voicemail and heard back from them promptly. He went in for dematting and they did a great job. No scrapes, smooth cut, and listened to the specifics I wanted done for him. I was nervous taking my cat to a new spot and they're a little more expensive than other places but I was very happy with the groomer and end result. He is also much happier now too! I just wish they had a legit website

I traveled from Louisiana to Anchorage because Mark was highly recommended. I was seeking treatment for poor circulation and blood pooling in my ankles. The deep purple and red color of my ankles improved 95%. My ankles no longer feel heavy, swollen and still showing no signs of pooling blood. Mark is very intuitive and knowledgeable. My trip was well worth it!
I have been looking for a massage and had my first session yesterday - it was amazing! I have so much built up tension in my back from stress and working at a desk all day and I feel so much better after even the first session. I will be coming back for more massages in the future! Thanks, Lan!
I visited the Day Break Spa recently. The therapist, Sha Sha was very cordial and invited me to a room and asked me how long I wanted to stay and if I wanted a Table Shower. I said yes and asked for a 60 minute session. She asked for $80 and then asked me to undress and put on a robe and slippers that she brought to me. She brought me to the table shower which was warm and relaxing. She dried me off and then escorted me back to the room where she gave me a full body massage. She used her whole body to get into some difficult muscle groups on my back and then proceeded to move the massage to a softer. I was very relaxed and fell a strong sense of relief once it was over. I gave her a reasonable tip and she offered a bottle of water and candy as I left. I highly recommend this place!
My kids have been attending this clinic for a couple years now. The office staff, and therapists are all very friendly, and helpful.
I first started going to inspire physical therapy after my femur fracture. I had to have emergency surgery on my femur, with a rod and screws put in. I have been working tirelessly with Tiffany, and she has been absolutely outstanding. The effort that she puts into every session is incredible. She has rapidly improved my range of motion in my leg, and her therapeutic massages are out of this world. I am an athlete, mostly a skier, and I have no other option but to have a positive prognosis thanks to inspire PT’s care.If you are looking for a physical therapy practice that promotes community, healing, and friendship, look no further than inspire PT! I will also be going here for my wrist physical therapy as well, as I have just had surgery for a schaphoid non-union fracture.
These folks simply rock. It is a quiet and respectful place that provides quality services and works with the patients. When my wife started to go, I was very resistant. However after one session I was hooked. As a chronic pain sufferer, the acupuncture and skilled professional help me to manage that pain and for a period, post treatment, eliminate it. As a team the acupuncturist and I have been treating multiple conditions and in each case I am glad to say that the Eastern based treatments have helped keep the issues from becoming worse and in some cases aided with the reverse of the issues. I am grateful for each time that we tackle an issue for the pain relief and improved flow of energy and blood to problem areas. Simply Amah - zing!

Best acupuncture hands down. Jennifer is very caring and pays close attention to what your needs are. Writes notes down from previous appointments and has a very good structured company. She cares about her patients deeply and enjoys what she does which is helping people feel and get better. Saw her for several months for my wrists and my wrist pain has gone down substantially. I put in my calender when I have appointments and forgot my last appointment had some things going on in life but also didn't have a constant reminder that I needed to see someone for my wrists cus they were feeling alot better and haven't had pain in a couple weeks now. She truly is great at what she does.
Our daughter just completed the driving course. The one day class was informative and her drive time was great. It's always nice when somebody else teaches your kid how to parallel park! The times available for driving more convenient for our family and they gave us discount for UAA students which was also great. I highly recommend this business.

I went into the driver's seat and Tanya went into the passenger seat, she explained all of the car's functions and how to use them like the headlights, the park reverse etc, and how to adjust the mirrors. she then let me know that I'd be driving all the way to Girdwood and through the highway. At this point, I was terrified and extremely nervous, I was shivering. Tanya saw this, and she looked at me, kindly told me it was going to be okay, that I can do this, and that she will be here to help. She assured me that she can take control of the steering wheel, she can brake or accelerate since she has pedals on the passenger side as well, and if I ever need I can find somewhere safe, and breathe.
If it wasn't for this, I would of never got through it. She was so reassuring, I trusted her and she helped calm my nerves a bunch. I went on the road, she gave me constant advice and help, she told me where to go and what to do. By the time I knew it, I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. She helped me get onto the highway, and merge, and I was really driving!!! She made sure that I was comfortable, and kept reassuring me on how good I'm doing, and that I'm really driving! I was so happy. I ended up driving ALL the way to Girdwood, and then back. I entered and exited the highway all the way from and to Girdwood on my FIRST EVER DAY ON THE ROAD. I drove back to my house. I hugged Tanya and thanked her, and I was READY for the next three days. During the next three, I went over techniques like Parallel Parking, Roundabouts, and driving in general. During the next days I drove to Flat top, point woranzof, and cincaid. It was scary at first but felt so much easier and I confidently drove there! On the fourth and last day, Tanya let me know I'd be practicing parallel parking one last time, and that I'd take the road test (driver's test, 2 attempts included in the program). She let me know she believed in me. I was scared, I was nervous, but I passed. After three days of driving, my first three days of driving, I passed my road test. I got my drivers license on the very same day from the DMV. I passed with 96/100 and the entire road test was a comfortable and nice experience. My instructor was Jacob for the road test. I thanked Tanya, and I will never forget her. I was about to genuinely cry when leaving the student car and walking to the DMV to get my license. This school was able to take ME, someone with on driving experience on the road, to getting my license on the FOURTH day of driving. I thank my Instructor Tanya for being so kind and genuine, I loved being your student driver. And thank you to Jacob for the comfortable and fun class. Thank you to the employees at the school who were KIND AND HELPFUL TO ME. Im so happy and proud to say now that I CAN DRIVE!!
