“We engaged Chuckanut Builders to do a remodel of part of our home involving converting a sitting room into a bedroom and expanding two bathrooms. It was a big "little project" in that all the trades except for the roof were required. We were able to remain in our home during the entire construction project thanks in large part to the willingness and ability of Chuckanut Builders team to cordon off the construction area and confine the inevitable dust and debris. During the entire project the team was most attentive to our needs. The weekly status meetings with the project manager and site lead were most helpful in tracking progress and addressing any issues that had arisen. The fixed bid format and budget tracking application enabled us to control costs very well and Chuckanut Builders was most helpful in providing options when plans needed to be changed. They were able to save and reuse existing hardwood flooring, as well as preserve existing shower wall tile when the other side of the wall was demo'd. This saved quite a bit of money. Throughout the project the team did quality work with great attention to detail. We are very happy with remodeling project and highly recommend Chuckanut Builders.Services: General construction“

“We brought Landmark in after our first "budget" contractor proved hollow and ghosted us after the framing phase was complete. Landmark came in and provided some much-needed structure and discipline to our project and quickly got us back on-track. Simply put, they plan their work and work their plan.Communication was excellent, and craftsmanship was amazing across the board -- we are thrilled with our luxury bathrooms and classy laundry room. And our favorite feature, a 70's style laundry chute connecting the bathrooms to the laundry room below, is super cool.Our only regret was not going with Landmark in the first place -- they do high quality work, on time and on budget. We lost money and time on the "budget option". These guys are true professionals, up and down the organization including their select pool of contractors.We recommend Landmark 100%, and will be bringing them back to reface our kitchen cabinets next.Services: Home renovations“
“This is a great company. I used Whatcom Roofing to reroof my home and two rental properties. Terry's bids were competitive. I used up-graded materials on all three homes and received a transferable warranty in writing on each of the projects. The crews showed up on time, worked effectively and efficiently and left each project clean. They even ran magnets across to yard to find any errant nails in the landscape. They didn't hit me with a bunch of change orders or try to up sale me after the work had begun. My experience on all three projects was as professional as could be. Terry is an absolute delight to work with. He is smart, honest and knowledgable. I will use him again as other projects come up. I trust him. I think you can too.“

“Gordon Sherwin of 2nd Story Construction Inc. and his apprentice, Jacob did an excellent job creating a beautiful fireplace mantel and two superb bookcases. Their skill and attention to detail really impressed me. At my request, Gordon took a chair that was too low and turned it into lovely rocking chair. In addition, they were always on time with wonderful attitudes. 2nd Story Construction actually "rescued" me from a previous contractor who left the project in a lurch. Gordon also helped me with extra items, such as selecting the granite for the fireplace. I can't say enough fine things about this company and will definitely call on them again for future home renovation projects.“

“Ben did a great job with our kitchen repair. We had a leaky dishwasher that ruined our whole kitchen. Ben and his crew did a great job with the rebuild. Our house was built in 1936 so nothing is level or square and he brought everything together as close to perfect as possible! He leveled our floor, and installed the flooring, drywall and trim, doing a great job matching the existing texture in the house. “I moved into a fixer fixer house with maple wood flooring, it had a lot of dings, some water and dirt spots and a lot of holes, splinters and notches under rugs that we ripped out. Montgomery Hardwood Flooring came in and fixed it quickly in time for us to move in and it looks amazing! The water and ground in dirt spots are gone and you can't even tell where the carpet was. I highly recommend them for your flooring.“
