“I train at Renzo Gracie Austin and dropped in for Oliver Tazas night no gi class. He is a world class BJJ competitor and high level black belt with elite grappling knowledge. Had a great time doing positional sparring rounds here and felt like everyone in the room was controlled, relaxed, and safe to train with. Plenty of clean mat space. Highly recommend training at Black Widow!“

“The best place for getting in shape, helping learn so many different variations of martial arts. My son has been to those Brazilian Jiu Jitsu schools before and I felt he was just a number. Here Guro Larry St. Clair helps you learn and is so motivated and will go as fast or slow. My son and daughter love the Tigers class. I would recommend anyone who is wanting to come and be a part of a growing family that is Martial Way Legacy!!!“

“What a great decision I made in joining the AKA family. As a grown adult in my late 30s, I was hesitant in committing to Karate — that changed real quick the moment I walked in and felt a sense of belonging Master Dave, Alejandro, Robert, Mr. Harrington and Tracey provided. I would HIGHLY recommend any adult out there that wants to learn an incredible skill to come join AKA — can’t wait for my next class !“

“I've been training here since 2003. Grandmaster Lee is amazing. Every class starts with 20 minutes of stretching. Then we learn kicks, punches, falls, self-defense, sparring, weapons, and general well-being. This is a family martial arts center that has something for everyone.“

“Mario is a top notch instructor. All 3 of my kids go here, and you won’t get the personalized instruction from the adults as you would in any other gym. I’ve worked with great kids coaches in the past, but there’s usually one or no more than two instructors at a time. At this gym, you have an array of high-level belts, teaching and instructing the children to give them 1 on 1 pointers and tips. The coaches care about my kids and their development. This is a great community and people are respected from all walks of life. Check the gym out! You won’t go anywhere else!“

“Cooper MMA is a very well rounded gym . They offer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai, Judo, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Strength and Conditioning, Self DefenseClasses for all ages . Children's classes run four days a week Mon - Thu 4:15-5:00pm for kids ages 4-6 and Mon-Thu 5:00-6:00pm & Sat mornings at 9 for kids 7and up . Adult classes are daily and staggered with multiple training times to fit your needs so if you can't show up for BJJ at noon for example there is also an evening class you can attend. Judo ,Muay Thai and Boxing are set on various days and like the Jiu-Jitsu class there are usually more than one class on the specific days set for those classes . This place has the most patient and very well rounded instructors around Austin. They take the time to go over technique and fundamentals for all new comers. My son joined when he barley turned 6 and is now 7 and loves every moment of his experience here and plans to make it a lifetime sport. Sean and Jillian Cooper owners of Cooper MMA are extremely accomplished individuals and well rounded in MMA with several years and certifications under their belts. They are great at getting shy kids to focus and really unleash their full potential. Coach Eric is outstanding and an extremely patient instructor. Never once has he had a negative reaction when someone isn't understanding something but instead through positive reinforcement redirects the kids until they are successful at whether he is trying to teach them even if he has to take them aside individually for a second and go over the fundamentals and techniques until they get it rite. Coach Duce and Coach Scott are equally supportive and great with children and have the upmost interest in genuinely helping you understand how to properly defend yourself wether it be boxing or Jiu-Jitsu . These instructors make this place the amazing experience that it is and truly love what they do. Cooper MMA is giving free one week trials and discounts to those who have multiple people in one family sign up at a time . I highly recommend coming in to try a free week to see if you like it and I guarantee if you decide to stick with it you will notice a big difference in you or your child's confidence. Everyone needs to have a level of self awareness and self defense at some point in their lives it's never too late . They have currently moved to a new location at 12129 N FM 620 RD SUITE 330AUSTIN, TX 78750 And are currently finishing up construction but will have two showers two restrooms and a lot more when complete . It is still a functional gym and classes are in full swing . [email protected]

“Master Perkins clearly cares about his students and their progress. His studio is clean and he emphasizes safety. Appropriate mix of poomsae, self defense, and sparring following the WT/Kukkiwon curriculum. Classes are much smaller than other places (around 4-6 students) which ensures a lot of individual attention.“

“Probably the best martial arts school in town. The instructors are amazing and the school is great for a holistic martial arts practice. I did Kajukido for almost a year and it was a great spiritual as well as martial arts practice. It combines Karate and Aikido - so you learn stances, kicks, blocks, punches, etc. Along with that you also learn how to use the forces and energies that you encounter in a fight and redirecting your opponent. I recommend this school to everyone. I stopped going because I started a Masters degree program which had classes at the same time the martial arts schedule. I will go back again once I finish the program.“

“This is more of a feedback than review. The center is amazing. Few of my friends kids already go here. I want to enroll my kid but the tiger cubs timings are little off. The timings should be after or at 5 pm instead of 4 pm. They also should stick to one timing for whole week instead of alternating that makes easier for working parents. Kids comes from school ( pickup or by bus) between 3:30-4:00. So 4 pm gets really immediately after the school. I think 5 pm for whole week is an appropriate time for the little ones. Team give a thought about it.“

“I have known Master Webb for several years and he is a very knowledgeable instructor of the arts and self-defense. I also work with him professionally in private security as well. As a martial arts master myself in Tae Kwon Do/Hapkido, I know guys that are the real thing and people that are not when it comes to teaching. Master Webb is the real deal in Wing Chun. I recommend Master Webb for adult self-defense tactics. As far as location and the gentlemen that gave a low rating because of that. First of all, I never have a problem contacting Sifu Webb and for those of you looking for Austin Ving Tsun, it is in Lake Creek Office Park and it is the only building in the center of the complex. As a fellow martial artist and brother in the security agency, I appreciate you Sifu Webb.“
