What a great decision I made in joining the AKA family. As a grown adult in my late 30s, I was hesitant in committing to Karate — that changed real quick the moment I walked in and felt a sense of belonging Master Dave, Alejandro, Robert, Mr. Harrington and Tracey provided. I would HIGHLY recommend any adult out there that wants to learn an incredible skill to come join AKA — can’t wait for my next class !
My kid loves this place. It has helped her stay active since she does not play a high school sport. She is very enthusiastic about the self-defense techniques she learns at the school. Highly recommend!
Austin Karate Academy is great! Our daughter joined over a year ago and we have seen her become more focused, disciplined, respectful and goal-oriented. The environment that Master Dave and the other instructors have created here is great for kids to enjoy and grow in the martial arts. There is a good balance between hand-holding (which some children need more than others) and creating expectations for all students that "they" be responsible for listening, following directions and their actions overall.
