“I see that the reviews published are from 9 and ten years ago. Yes, the Hsopital system was purchased by Prospect Holdings and the whole system was neglected, including the Healthplex, as it was once named. The gym was taken over by the YMCA just before Covid struck and it was cleaned and repaired and the machines were upgraded and replaced. It is very lively now, with classes for all ages, from seniors to tiny children. I am a senior and my health insurance pays for membership. I find the aerobic type classes in the exercise pool very helpful. The staff is friendly. It can be crowded but it is a huge facility and maybe you have to learn when it is a good time for your needs. The lively use tells me that people like to use the Y.“
