“I recently found myself in a very difficult situation regarding my daughter. She had an oral appliance installed by another orthodontist about a year ago. It was VERY painful to install, and we were not looking forward to having it removed. After having taken my daughter to two orthodontists to have it removed without success, Dr. Speer was able to remove it. I thank you Dr. Speer for your extraordinary care and encouragement of my daughter and getting us through this difficult experience. You and your staff have been AMAZING. “Staff is friendly and welcoming, and they work with you to make sure that you are comfortable.<br><br>However, booking an apt can be difficult. Some bookings are months out. You can be put on a waiting list to get an earlier appointment, though.<br><br>I am lucky to have a flexible schduel where I can take off time during the middle of my day to snag an earlier appointment, but not everyone has that, unfortunately.<br><br>Overall, it is a good dentist office and would recommend it.“

“Dentists make me nervous esp injections, I can’t handle that pain even when they topically numb you, I still feel that pinching pain. I had two cavities filled and I did not feel the injections at all! And I also had all 4 of my wisdom teeth here and it went smoothly, and both dentists were nice and explained everything thoroughly before the procedures. I brought both my toddlers in for their first visit and the staff were so nice; they explained everything and every tool to my kids and did not force anything and were very gentle with them and used play to explain what they were doing.“

“I have tried multiple at-home whitening kits, as well as different in-office treatments. None have been as effective or as long-lasting as Pro Dental Hygiene. I've been coming here since 2020 and have amazing results every time. I do the one-hour treatment, and I would highly recommend you get the same service if you want movie star white teeth! PS: The office is always quiet and kept neat, and the hygienist is very polite and friendly.“

“I’ve a rare neurological condition (Trigeminal Neuralgia,) broke my jaw+multiple teeth at 19 and had no dental insurance for decades. First Dentist that was kind, humble and so was all of his Staff. Definitely had a long wait, but I am glad that I waited it out because first Dentist I’ve ever actually felt comfortable with and considering the number of barriers that I have- this is a big deal. I myself now work in behavioral health and my recommendation is actually both personal and professional. Often times with mental health or physical disabilities comes dental barriers and I so far have been a very big fan of this dentist. I will also be getting an extraction there this week. I will update if I change my mind but thus far pretty happy with the dentist. I promise you I never thought I would say those words.“

“TLDR: Highly recommend this friendly, patient, and knowledgeable dentist practice! Really excited to have finally found a dentist that I hope to continue seeing for a long time! I scheduled online as a new patient and was able to get an appointment within a week (I think there were even next day slots available) and the process was easy. Front office staff was super nice and then Christy took me back for my xrays and quickly became my hero. She asked if anything in particular brought me in and I said not really, just a cleaning. She took the xrays and after looking at them for about 3 seconds asked me, "Do you find that you get food stuck a lot in your back upper-right area or get floss snagged there?" I almost jumped out of my chair confirming that YES! That happens all the time. She showed me on my xray that a filling done by my previous dentist was poking out there and that was the cause. The feeling of affirmation this gave me! I remembered that filling well and felt that something wasn't right, but my old dentist had examined it and told me it was fine so I've just been living thinking that was my life now, destined to always get food/floss stuck in that space. The even better news Grant Park Dentistry gave me after finding this flaw: they could fix it for me and fix it THAT DAY! Amazing. Incredible. Couldn't have been happier. Jay (office staff) walked me through the additional billing portion for the extra procedure, making it easy to understand and answering my questions. A standard cleaning did turn into a 4 hour visit, but I was happy to wait to get my snaggle filling fixed and was fortunate to have a flexible schedule that day. The staff checked on me often during the wait and did offer to reschedule for a different day, but I was happy to take a late morning nap with pleasant office white noise around me. And of course Dr. Khairallah (kair-AWL-uh) was 10/10 as well! Super friendly and knowledgable and I really appreciated the time he took to explain what he was seeing with my teeth and also how we was going to fix my snaggle filling. They drilled out the old filling, took 3D photos of it, and Dr. K let me watch over his shoulder as he adjusted the image on the computer to send to the 3D printer (very cool). After fixing my filling, Dr. K also assisted with part of my regular cleaning. From what I could gather, they had a busy schedule that day and he was helping out as able to ease the load on the hygienists. Class act in my book! Is it weird to say I had a great time at the dentist? Every staff member was so friendly (I laughed a lot during my lengthy visit) and they all really seemed to be a cohesive team. After trying out a few different dentists in Portland and taking long breaks between cleanings because nothing was quite right, I'm happy to say I have found my teeth's forever home. Thanks Dr K and team!!“

“What can I say, I am extremely dental phobic. Just to support my comment, I was flying from Portland, OR to Orange County, CA for 5 years, 4 times a year to see my old dentist due to my fear of having to start with a new dentist (I know pretty crazy). However, it had become so expensive to fly and Uber to my dentist in Orange County, CA. I had to find a new dentist. I received a recommended to Dr. Kaveen Ranasinghe in July of this year and finally broke down to see him. He is a wonderful dentist and was very patient with my dental phobia. He spent a lot of time taking to me about my fears and how we could minimize any potential pain involved in my future dental work. Portland Dental has pain management options for even the most phobic patient like me. Also my dental hygienist (Jessica) is patient and gentle making my dental cleanings much easier to manage (she's the BEST). I would strongly recommended Dr. Kaveen (aka Dr. Ranasinghe) and his wonderful staff to all those dental phobic patients like me or anyone that just want a great dentist. Portland Dental is the best and I wanted to thank everyone for their patience and concern over my well being!“
