“I have been going to Dr. Mueller’s office for close to 15 years. I chose the office because it’s proximity to my work at the time, but even though I no longer work nearby I will always go to Dr. Mueller. He and his staff are amazing and I highly recommend this as your dentist office!“

“I have the cleanest teeth around now, which makes me so happy! My hygienist here is awesome. Dr Edwards and his assistant (Carly if I'm not mistaken?) did a phenomenal, extremely precise and careful job on my 1 tooth implant I just had finished. Which, I'd been nervous about after I mistakenly went to a 'holistic' dentist for that, which cost so much, and took very long to redo. I had to go to a perio specialist, then to put my zirconia implant crown on, Dr Edwards did a whole procedure to do that perfectly. And I'm very grateful to him that I can now chew normally and not worry about it anymore. Being born without an adult tooth is no picnic, but luckily there are pros like Dr E to help us out with these things in life.“

“I love this place. I wouldn't say I have a full on dental phobia, but I have had some pretty negative experiences. From the usual condescending dentists to one that drilled into my cheek requiring stitches. It caused me to stop going all together and of course things got worse, but then you don't want to get the lecture about your teeth so you don't go. Cycle continues for a few years and here you are not wanting to smile because your teeth are messed up. I finally broke a tooth and couldn't avoid things any further. West Hills looked like a great place for someone like me that needed some compassion and not a lecture. They absolutely exceeded my expectations. Every single person there is just kind. No other way to say it. I was expecting a lot of shaming when I first went in and Dr. Little just fixed me up. No lecture whatsoever and they were incredibly gentle from explaining the process to the actual procedure which really put me at ease when I came back to fix the rest of my neglect. A few procedures later and I'm not afraid to smile anymore. Super huge thank you to everyone there.“

“I recently found myself in a very difficult situation regarding my daughter. She had an oral appliance installed by another orthodontist about a year ago. It was VERY painful to install, and we were not looking forward to having it removed. After having taken my daughter to two orthodontists to have it removed without success, Dr. Speer was able to remove it. I thank you Dr. Speer for your extraordinary care and encouragement of my daughter and getting us through this difficult experience. You and your staff have been AMAZING. “i've been a long time patient of Wagner dental care it whole family goes. They take great care of our entire family and never try and upsell us in anyway. It truly is a real family practice. Recently, I had a dental emergency. I was seen right away. Dr Wagner took such great care of me. Took x-rays evaluated the problem. I was treated like family. Could not recommend Wagner dental care enough.“

“Staff is friendly and welcoming, and they work with you to make sure that you are comfortable.

However, booking an apt can be difficult. Some bookings are months out. You can be put on a waiting list to get an earlier appointment, though.

I am lucky to have a flexible schduel where I can take off time during the middle of my day to snag an earlier appointment, but not everyone has that, unfortunately.

Overall, it is a good dentist office and would recommend it.“

“Dentists make me nervous esp injections, I can’t handle that pain even when they topically numb you, I still feel that pinching pain. I had two cavities filled and I did not feel the injections at all! And I also had all 4 of my wisdom teeth here and it went smoothly, and both dentists were nice and explained everything thoroughly before the procedures. I brought both my toddlers in for their first visit and the staff were so nice; they explained everything and every tool to my kids and did not force anything and were very gentle with them and used play to explain what they were doing.“

“I have tried multiple at-home whitening kits, as well as different in-office treatments. None have been as effective or as long-lasting as Pro Dental Hygiene. I've been coming here since 2020 and have amazing results every time. I do the one-hour treatment, and I would highly recommend you get the same service if you want movie star white teeth! PS: The office is always quiet and kept neat, and the hygienist is very polite and friendly.“

“It took some time to write this review as I wanted to give it the time and focus Dr. Khatib and his team deserve.

Working front to back -
Starting at reception, the feel of Portland Oral and Facial surgery is warm, concerned, caring and professional. I know the name of the receptionist (rare) and have the highest level of confidence in her. She has seen me through multiple surgeries and both acute and chronic care.

The office staff are best in industry. Responsive, professional while being friendly and (ultra) responsive. I also know her by name, and she has worked "outside the box" tirelessly for me. I have had procedures covered by standard insurance and am in the middle of a unique issue from a surgical mistake during another unrelated surgery. She navigates a world I could not with ease and speed. As I have seen it there is no procedure or problem she cannot handle effectively, efficiently, with care and detail. I have rarely (if ever) met a professional back-office staff like Portland Oral and Facial surgery.

The care/surgery team has to deal with people in acute crisis (me) and care of chronic issues (also me). We may come in scared, grumpy from pain and often in crisis. They are calming and professional while efficiently moving through minor (me) to major (again, also me) procedures. I tend to use humor into fear or pain. They are engaging and present while moving toward procedure. I am grateful beyond words for them and the team members mentioned above.

Regarding Dr. Khatib. Normally, in surveys (this is my first review), I use the words, "Highest level" or "Solid professional" however, Dr. Khatib is brilliant. Brilliant as a fact over superlative. His credentials are....well, Google him.
He is a dentist, facial surgeon, facial reconstruction specialist and more. He is ALSO an M.D. that treats sleep (installing a device for me), trauma, reconstructive surgery and chronic issues like sinus.
If I recall, he was also a professor, and I believe on the board of education at a local hospital.
Given his credentials and high (HIGH) I.Q. you would expect dry, business forward professional. While he is too focused on my health to deal with my stress induced humor, he is positive, upbeat, engaging and he takes the time to listen. His plans for my care (while awful) were well thought, well reasoned, well communicated and, given the trauma, so far perfectly executed. I have more to come unfortunately, but I expect the exact same highest-level Doctor and Dentist.

I cannot recommend Portland Oral and Facial surgery enough. If you have a chronic issue, I suggest you make an appointment. If you have a trauma, his team makes sure you are a priority. Chances are you will be referred to him, but, if not, for you, make the call. - Franklin Gilbert“
