“Staff very courteous and professional. No pressure. Well stocked and laid out gym featuring pool, hot tub, free weights, machines, aerobics and dance classes and much more. One of the better gyms I've been to in the area.“
“Really nice people with the expertise to set up a workout program that meets my specific goals and needs. They make workouts fun.“
“I highly recommend Cornerstone Calisthenics. The team there is super professional and they have created a workout program that is very specific to me and my needs. They have already helped me enormously in the brief time I've been working with them. Can't say enough good things about their program and how thorough it is!“
“It was trial session. Melissa was very knowledgable and has a great technique. I felt so relaxed after the treatment. Will repeat this!!“
“I met Katie shortly before I had knee surgery to repair tears on my meniscus. It had been about 6 months of regular pain, forcing me to refrain from running, working out, or even so much as doing a full body squat without pain and/or an unsettling click. Katie worked with me to identify the problems I was having and introduced me to a series of progressively more dynamic exercises to build up my mobility and strength to a level beyond where I was before my injury.Besides her mastery of physical therapy (and the fact that Katie is just an awesome person), these three things stood out to me the most:1: Katie uses a collaborative, educational approach to her work with her clients, and she is a fantastic instructor and coach. Moving my body in new ways was sometimes difficult, but her ability to articulate the exercises using auditory and visual cues was super helpful. Seeing something and hearing it in terms I understood made the process more enjoyable, and especially let me see why certain movements hurt, and how to improve upon them. Real-time cues while doing exercises also helped to hone in on the pieces I might be missing, and especially the pieces I was doing well. Both helped tremendously.2: Katie is extremely patient. Again, moving my body in new ways was sometimes difficult, which often left me spinning my wheels as I tried to get the movements right. Not once did she even remotely seem frustrated or impatient as I struggled. Instead, she showed enthusiasm for even the smallest improvements, and celebrated all of my little wins. It made learning and getting stronger a pleasant experience that motivated me each step of the way. Katie’s office is a safe place that fosters improvement in surprising ways.3: Katie is an empathic practitioner who understands your pain, and truly wants you to get better and be your best self. Knowing that she was on my side, seeing her celebrate my little wins, all of it. Katie made my pain feel understood from the first day, and inspired me to have confidence in both my progress and my potential once I was back in action.I highly recommend Katie for anyone who is ready to feel good in their body. She’s a treasure.“
“Last June I had a hysterectomy and was not able to really workout for several months (other than walking). I finally went back to the gym in September and went way too hard! I hurt my back and ended up having to do quite a few months of PT (thanks Mary) and then was able to do a little more but was finally cleared to do regular workouts at the end of March. I started X camp at Adapt April 1st. It was a 4 week, intense camp, from 7:30-8:30 pm run by the amazing Adapt owner, Brian. It was hard but I was super committed. I met so many amazing people and enjoyed working out with Kirsten, Brian, and many others but more importantly, it helped me remember why I love working out. It has become a non negotiable in my life again and I am averaging 4-6 workouts each week. Yesterday marked three months of commitment. At the beginning of camp, and on the last day of camp, we were tested on a variety of things. I’ve continued working on certain things with the trainers (shout out to Jessica, Carly, Sheldon, and Nic). Today was my final test. At the beginning of camp I couldn’t do any step ups to stork walks. I also couldn’t do decline push ups or very good Downward dogs. Today I did 10 step ups, 10 push ups, and my downward dogs have gotten so much better. I still have a lot of room for improvement but I’m so proud and thankful for the Adapt staff and community. You have brought me back to life and for that, I am so grateful!“
“I can’t recommend Valley Strength and Fitness enough! Ryan has extremely detailed knowledge of everything related to fitness and is very generous about sharing his wisdom. After just one month of training with him I feel confident I could walk into any gym and crush a workout. Definitely check out VS&F if you need help getting started or want to take your training to the next level. Proper form is challenging to master, but Ryan is diligent about ensuring his clients learn safe and effective ways to lift. He’ll set you on the right path to achieving your goals while offering support, motivation, and camaraderie at every step.Don’t rely on gym bros to show you the way - hire a pro!“
“I asked Trent to design a workout program to help me get back to the gym after almost 10 years. He put together something to work on my areas of concern, and met with me over a period of weeks to make sure I knew what to do and to tweak the program. I feel a lot more confident now about going back and my ability to achieve my goals.“
“I would highly recommend training with Darius. He’s extremely knowledgeable regarding exercise science as well as diet. Darius tailored a routine based on my goals, and I found it to be very effective.“
“I love the gym environment- comfortable and inviting. Never too crowded, solid equipment, clean and helpful staff.“

“I am 82 years ago and I worked with a trainer years ago. I am visiting my daughter for a month and she suggested I see if Matt would have space for me while I was in town. I am astonished to say that even with five sessions, my balance has improved, my knees feel stronger, and I feel invigorated. Thanks Matt. 10 stars!“

“Tip and Tarah have cultivated a unique atmosphere at PDX Fit that sets it apart from any other gym. Over the course of two years, I've had the privilege of training under Coach Tip, and throughout this journey, I've consistently grown and learned. Beyond just fitness, Tip and Tarah, along with their sweet pups, Tsunami and Typhoon, have become good friends. Going to the gym is the highlight of my day!In addition to my regular workouts, I'm also an active member of the PDX Fit powerlifting team. I can honestly say that being part of this gym and the team we've created has brought me immense joy.If you're contemplating joining PDX Fit, I wholeheartedly encourage you to take the plunge - you won't be disappointed. :)“
“Adira has been an absolute game-changer for our athlete! Our athlete was already putting in the work, attending the team workouts and practices, but they were missing that extra oomph in terms of strength.Ami makes it fun and enjoyable to train, she is very motivating and encouraging for young athletes. If motivation, strength, flexibility, and personal attention is what you’re looking for, Adira is it!“

“My 80-year-old mother suffered surgery complications and came to live with me for a year. During that time, Lori Vance was instrumental in helping her recover and rebuild her strength. Lori trained with my mother 1-2 times per week, and gave her exercises to perform at home multiple times daily. In their sessions, Lori carefully tracked my mother's progress and supported and encouraged her progress with kindness and determination. I highly recommend Lori for anyone seeking expert guidance in senior fitness. With a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by older adults, Lori is a dedicated professional who excels at creating tailored fitness programs that prioritize safety, functionality, and overall well-being. Her compassionate approach fostered trust and confidence in my mother, inspiring her to maintain a high quality of life. Lori is an ideal partner on a fitness journey who offers not only physical support but also a genuine commitment to improving health and vitality.“

“I have no words to describe how much Shelly has helped me! I started seeing her postpartum for virtual personal training and then transitioned to energy work sessions (body, emotion, and belief code). In 7 months of working with her, I have learned so much about myself and we continue to dig deep and heal on a weekly basis. I refer to her as my "family healer", as she now works with my husband, daughter, and mom, and has made a profound difference for all of us. Shelly is one of the most compassionate and kind people you will meet. She is incredibly knowledge and always knows how to guide you in the right direction - I couldn't recommend her enough!“
“Oh my goodness!! I thought I had experienced every kind of massage possible in my 60 years, but Thai massage with Anne was something I had never experienced. I came away totally relaxed, but energized... not a noodle, \\\"who beat up my body?\\\" feeling. It was absolutely perfect for balancing out my body and moving energy to release what was lodged in all those hard to get to spots! I highly recommend gettin on Anne's schedule!“
“Great studio- open and airy with big windows. Excellent instructors- everyone I’ve worked with is highly skilled, patient and knowledgeable. Love this place!“

“Best massage of my life! Jay is an amazing body worker and incorporated a variety techniques masterfully and seamlessly to address all of my concerns, mostly old sports injuries. He is super intuitive and clearly dedicated to his craft because he has 24 years of experience. Well worth it as I’m already noticing positive changes in my range of motion!!“
“I’ve tried various big-box gyms and CrossFit classes, but NLB is the best gym/training experience I’ve ever found. Whether you’re a novice or advanced lifter, the facility has everything you need. The coaches are knowledgeable and personable, and pay attention to your individual needs and goals. The feedback and programming is tailored to you. My strength and overall health/fitness have skyrocketed since I’ve been training here. The best part about NLB is the community. I can’t recommend the Barbell Club highly enough. It combines the best aspects of group classes, private coaching, and individual training, with none of the downsides. If you’re someone who benefits from external motivation, the supportive social environment is perfect for you. If you don’t like the pressure or competitiveness of group classes, it’s perfect for you. If you like to work out on a flexible schedule, It’s perfect for you. It’s great to train with a group of familiar faces, all working towards their own goals and celebrating each others’ successes. Truly the best experience I’ve had in any fitness program.“
