We were introduced to Vicki and Suncrest because we wanted a modern kitchen design with brighter colors there and in our great room. Vicki listened to our preferences, including wanting the kitchen to match our glass/polished steel dining table. She guided us as we considered each component of the new kitchen: cabinets, countertops, appliances, floors, paint, etc., and she spent a lot of time ensuring that our choices were compatible and to our liking.The vendors Vicki uses are top-notch and responsive; we realized her partnerships made our choices easier than going to multiple businesses. We chose a mix of bamboo and blue acrylic cabinets with burnished metal pulls. The combination is beautiful, and we like that bamboo is sustainable. The quartzite counters and luxury vinyl plank floors blend perfectly.Suncrest was easy to work with and receptive to our input. When we found better deals for a few plumbing fixtures, they worked with us to get the items at the best prices. The staff and subcontractors were professional, friendly, hard-working, and respectful. Suncrest uses the Buildertrend website and app to track every phase of the project and share info with us. All the items bought, all the subcontractors and their tasks, all the payments we made – it was all available to us on Buildertrend.The project was completed on schedule(!), and touchups were handled quickly. We highly recommend Suncrest.

This location is packed full of great hair specialist. I don't have a regular stylist but I have had several of them repeatedly. Can't go wrong in my opinion and the scalp washing and massages are great. As with all location lots of tvs and great atmosphere. Always use the app to check in and get in line and plan accordingly. This location can be very bust but the app is pretty accurate and with a long wait just go gets some errands done and show up when the app tells you. Secret hack for this location is if you go mid week at opening you have a chance to catch the price is right before the sports go on.
After going to barbershops that specialize in fades and charge in excess of $45 and up. I finally went to my wife’s salon and her hair stylist gave me the best fade that I’ve had since I lived in Reno. Keep up the good work! Client for life!

I was lucky to grab a same day appointment when I was traveling through Reno in need of a haircut. The barbers here were super friendly and welcoming and I came away with one very sharp faded haircut. Shy’s has an oldschool vibe that makes you feel at home. If they weren’t about to close up shop for the day after my appointment, it would have been great to hang more and continue the great conversations we were having. Shy’s is definitely worth checking out.

I was a walk-in today. They were actually very friendly, and spoke with me (more so than the other nail salons I’ve been to in the past). Their nail polish smudged some on one finger, but when I pointed it out, Daniel fixed it right away with no complaint. He checked over the rest of my nails, and made sure everything else was satisfactory. What seemed like several regulars were in there during my visit, and the staff conversed with their patrons as if they were old friends. It was a nice experience. I would love to give a full review but we unfortunately didn't get to use our appointment. They were able to schedule us within 24 hours of calling. Even had on of the technicians specialized in ingrown toenails. Which my son severely needed. But when we arrived, she looked at my son's toenails and said she couldn't risk him getting a infection due to how bad his toes were. So we told her we will be back once he gets them fixed cause he will have some time of doing personal maintenance after the Dr fixes them.She was polite, the place looked clean and sanitary. She was welcoming, and honest. I look forward to checking them out again and actually getting to use their skills.
I've been seeing Hong for over a year and will never go anywhere else. They always look great, and NEVER break. I've had to go over 2 weeks for a fill a few times and they held up great. Hong is a doll and the best!

I am writing this review for the Master of Wax, Morgan. She is an artist and master sculptor when it comes to the total removal of our most despised body hair. While I myself have not been a canvas of hers, I have had the absolute pleasure to be able to enjoy a canvas she does apply her craft upon, my wife. If you're reading this and debating whether or not to get your parts stripped of God's worst choice, our body hair, I highly recommend you give yourself to Morgan so that she may shape you in a more perfect image.Her biggest fan, Eric
The best salon I have been to for a pedicure. I like all 3 of the gals that have given me a pedicure here. Friendly, clean, and they have massage chairs. I've tried other places, but I won't anymore.
Decided to get my lashes done for my wedding last minute, and luckily Tammy fit me in the weekend before I had to leave out of state. The salon is a little maze of independent artists once you enter, but the person at the front will guide you. First timers need to fill out some paperwork taking about ~5-10 minutes. I brought a set of falsies to show Tammy what I wear on the daily and told her I wanted similar but a little more dramatic. She is so personable and easy to talk to right off the bat, so it was like catching up with a friend. The 2 hours flew by and I loved the results! I waited a couple weeks to write this review to see how well the lash retention is, and if you take care of them the way she instructs, they'll stay in tact, but she did inform me that it's shedding season (Oct-Dec), so she offered a free touch up right before my wedding, but unfortunately I was going to be out of town. Thankfully barely any lashes shed off the 5 days between my session and the wedding :) I don't get extensions on the regular anymore because I work from home and don't see much of the outside world, but I will definitely be back to Tammy the next time I have travel or a series of events I'd like extensions for :) Thank you Tammy!! This review is for Sabrina: I first came to see Sabrina a year ago to cut my hair for the first time in 3 years. I have very thick/ curly hair so I'm naturally cautious on who cuts my hair because sadly, not everyone knows how to cut curly hair well. (I have a number of horror stories) She was recommended to me through a mutual friend and I couldn't be happier. She made me feel comfortable and I feel I can trust her professional opinions on what styles would look good on me. My personal goal is to go short but I've always been kind of scared because it's a bold move for me considering I've had long hair my whole life. I originally booked an appointment primarily based on how great all of the reviews are, and I was definitely not let down! I booked pretty far in advance, which was very easy. I was super duper nervous for my first Brazilian, but Corrina did an amazing job, talked me through the whole thing, and made me feel much less stressed about the whole thing. She is fantastic! The office is also super cute, and parking was very easy. Looking forward to my next visit :)

I had my first hydrafacial with Jessica a year ago and it was the best facial I have ever had in my life! I live in Los Angeles and was only in town to visit so it was a godsend that I was able to find her and have such a positive experience. It was so good that I began to doze off. It felt amazing and left me looking glowy right before my wedding. She explained the entire process and the properties/benefits of each product being applied. Rich is absolutely amazing! He is a very professional and honest business owner and is very knowledgeable for all your plumbing needs. I bought my home 2 years ago and needed a repair on my shower and my realtor highly recommended Rich. He came in the late evening and fixed my shower so I had a hot shower. He was very kind and on time and did a complete job making sure before he left that his work was completed and everything was nice and clean. This last week my hot water heater went out, garbage disposal quit working and my kitchen sink stopped up and would not drain. I immediately called him and he returned my phone call immediately and let me know he would come and get everything repaired and yesterday him and Ryan his awesome employee showed up on time and fixed my kitchen sink drain, installed a brand new garbage disposal and will be coming back today on a Saturday to install my brand new hot water heater. Everything complete and done so I do not have to worry which I'm extremely grateful for because in 18 days I go in for my 7th surgery and last surgery for my Breast cancer reconstruction and now I will be able get ready and to recover with no worries. He walked me through fixing it myself over the phone and when we thought the issue wasn’t resolved he offered to swing by on his personal time before his work day started to take quick a look. But what he walked me through doing over the phone actually resolved the issue. He refused to let me pay him anything for his help. With the recent big storm and subsequent power outages, the furnace in our home would not turn on. After calling 3 other local companies for emergency service, Michael's was the only one who could provide same day service. I was so grateful as the heat was completely not working and it was still cold and snowing. In spite of the bad weather and very busy day, Mike from Michael's came and fixed the furnace so quickly. Additionally he and the office staff I spoke to were very kind and consistently gave realistic expectations for call back time, etc. I cannot recommend their services enough.Micheal's really saved us when we needed our heat and no one else was able to come through.
Absolutely amazing customer service. I called 8 different plumbing services for quotes on a new water heater. This company won me over by their customer service and good prices. Great communication through email and phone. The company actually winded up calling me to ask questions about why I was wanting to replace the heater and to see if there were other options instead of putting in a new one. From the first initial steps with staff communication I was happy with the interactions and were impressed with how they just didn't slap on the most expensive thing they could and call it a day.Then the technician arrived right on time and he absolutely knew his stuff. This company is not out to nickel and dime you, but are actually for the customer and will give you knowledge of your situation. Mark, the owner, came over personally to see that my Water main was leaking. He came with an assistant the next day and fixed it. He uses the highest quality parts. He schooled me on things plumbers often say that are supposedly necessary, however they’re not. That certain appliances can be repaired instead of replaced. I’ll never use a different plumber. I've used Affinity Cleans for several years and am extremely pleased with their service and professionalism. I have a long-haired indoor cat who regularly leaves me hairball "presents" along with regurgitated food on my carpet. I have difficulty bending over and can't do a really thorough job of cleaning up the mess. Affinity Cleans does the job every time.
Lucas goes out of his way to do the best job. He is thorough and follows up. We used him for grout cleaning, caulking and grout repair. We will be using this company for carpet cleaning as well. Price was fair & he is trustworthy.
Alex at Oriental Rug Wash is a master of oriental rugs. He washed and reinstalled 8 inherited rugs for me including installing the appropriate padding for my rugs. Each rug was pristine when he finished with it. The two people that came did a good job. However please tell them to put things back where they got it from. Couldn’t find a few thing without looking or guessing where they were put. If you’re going to clean the ceiling fan please vacuum what is under the fan. The toilet in one bathroom around the rim, was not cleaned.

Ryan was super quick about getting my new carpets in. Other stores told me they were a week out and when I tried to schedule it was 4 weeks or more. I had a time crunch as I was trying to move into my house and he got me new floors within a week and a half. He went above and beyond by coming in to do my measurement after I got off work(around 8 pm) just to speed up the process. Thanks guys!

When we moved to our new Spanish Springs home, we knew we were going to want to have a place where we could enjoy the weather, entertain friends and just be comfortable in our "forever" home. The patio area is just the right size to have a little loveseat to enjoy a morning coffee, a set up for an intimate dinner for two or just relax with a good book, but wasn't very welcoming. The cement flooring, even with an outdoor carpet, was hard to keep clean and just not attractive. Greg of Tile and Stone Creations came to the rescue! What we were asking for, tile on cement in the outdoor extremes of Northern Nevada, was not something we wanted to take chances with. Yes, the area is covered, but we had to be sure the job would be done to near perfection to ensure years of lasting beauty. Greg is a multigenerational tile guy and knows his stuff. I felt comfortable speaking with him and asking questions and he was great about helping me to understand the process and costs. I had already done some research into the process and materials and Greg just confirmed everything I had already read up on. I especially liked his good communication, in person, in texts and email. He kept me statused on the installation timeline, met all commitments and kept in touch through the installation. He was pleasant and friendly but not overly so. The job he and his colleague did on our patio is beautiful! The tile we purchased, to match tile we already had in the house, but Greg helped us to get the correct color grout. He discussed the best layout, and step by step prepped the surface and proceeded to complete the installation in stages to allow things to set and seal properly. He always left the site in perfect order, cleaned the area and made sure there were no safety hazards for people or animals. He respected our property and access requests. Greg was completely professional at all times with his interactions and his work. I plan to call on him again when I am ready to install a steam shower!!

Jaymes gets it done. The great thing about Jaymes is that he does what he says and is very open to unique project requirements. We had several contractors limit their scope of work, but Jaymes took on all the areas of work including demo, island modifications, countertops and back splash. The team who installed the quartz countertops were top notch and could not have done a better job. They were so professional and caring. Jaymes communicates well and is very timely on scheduling and executing projects.
If you like subpar work at a premium price look no further. Great at being late, messy finish work, with superb lack of care. 10/10 on being overrated. If the owner could try and take advantage of you more I'm sure he'd try.
We had Mill Street Cabinets, Paul and Mike, reface our lower kitchen cabinets. Paul came out a few times to measure and to check the color and the glaze on the refacing to be sure that it was a match and a product we would like. They are incredibly professional and service oriented which is hard to find in today's world.The cabinets that they had to match were an off-white with a cocoa glaze. it was no small feat. Paul worked with the manufacturer very closely to be sure that they would match. The cabinets that they were refacing were oak. The new cabinets are beautiful. They match almost perfectly.The installation process went smoothly. They did a fantastic job installing the draws, doors and panels. We love our new cabinets.The below pictures show the before and after. The picture with the wine chill is our island and that is what they were matching the new cabinets too.We had a small issue with one of the panels, after installation, and Paul came out the next day and checked it out. After traveling for nearly two months we arrived home to a busted sprinkler pipe and a flooded room, not exactly the welcome home we wanted but it was our reality. Add to the misery all the floors in the first floor of our home had to be replaced as a result of the flooding.While I have spent my professional career in emergency management, it really hits home when it’s your house that’s damaged. We were incredibly fortunate to connect with an exceptional mitigation company who did an excellent job of cleaning up all the water and getting us ready for the repairs.We interviewed three contractors/companies and we were immediately impressed with Matt Caviglia and Reel Construction. Matt was clear on the process we should anticipate going forward as well as the cost and his experience working with insurance companies.Matt and his team did an excellent job of shepherded us through every step of the process that included communicating with our insurance company, they explained in detail what we needed to do to make the project successful. Our foreman, Geoff Board communicated with us daily, on what would be accompanied and who would be in our home, which included introducing us to the excellent team of craftsmen who performed their magic daily.Matt and his team at Reel Construction are your best partners for all your home remodeling and construction projects and while I hope we won’t need their services again, if we do a call to Matt will be our first order of business.Services: General construction
I had a upstairs toilet that had leaked for a long time. I created a lot of mold on a downstairs wall! Advanced Installations was contracted to remove the mold on the drywall and 2x4 studs behind it! It was a mess. They did a great job! I also contracted with them to replace the 2x4s and drywall! Their crew of Mike and Jim were superb! The work was done quickly, and I am very happy with the result! Tony and Pat kept me informed! I would use Advanced Installations again!

We highly recommend Masterfield to anyone who needs a professional, knowledgeable, reliable contractor for a residential remodel. Our scope included installation of a new exterior door, 12 ft by 50 ft Trex composite deck, concrete stairs, and relocation of an existing fence. At the first meeting, Alan listened to our desired scope, and quickly assessed the options to design and construct our remodel project, including a new deck, and a new exterior access point to our home. He provided prompt follow up with a contract and cost estimate that allowed us to get into design quickly. Once complete, Masterfield navigated a seamless review with the city so that our project was underway early the summer of 2023. Masterfield's on-site staff were excellent. Tom, Site Superintendent, was great to work with keeping us informed of the planned activities. Carpenter crews worked efficiently to install foundation, deck, and door preparation.Masterfield has good rapport with subcontractors. We were fortunate to have these excellent subcontractors on this project: concrete (Riley Concrete), painting ( AS Coatings) and fencing (Mule Fencing) The construction site was always well organized, providing a clean and safe working environment for their crew. Masterfield has a great office staff, following up daily communications and appropriate paperwork for the minimal contract changes. Masterfield checked every box for a great product, delivering a quality project on time, on budget that met the contracted scope.
Look no further. This team of painters is amazing! From first conversations with Neil to the ten days working with Fernando and his crew on our mid-century modern house painting project, the communication and professionalism was excellent. They are proud of their work and it shows. Ours felt like a special case in that we had concrete and wood surfaces and needed some solid technical advice and support in deciding what to use for paints and stains. They know what they are talking about, and the house came out really well done. Sharp edges, clean lines, detailed prep work, fine painting and clean up. Accommodating and responsive, we would recommend them to anyone looking for a high end finish on their home.

We've trapped a couple of mice under our outdoor BBQ recently and so asked Advanced IPM to send a technician out to take a look. We were particularly concerned about the potential for mice to access the crawl space under the house from the outside. Travis D. came out and took a thorough look around. After checking out the exterior of the property he spent the best part of half an hour exploring the crawl space, itself - a tight squeeze and not at all easy! Throughout the visit he was a pleasure to deal with - thorough and highly professional.

Legends Landscaping recently installed a paver walkway in our backyard to match an existing paver patio. The sidewalk tied into the existing paver patio on one end and a concrete patio on the other. There was a 90 degree turn around our AC unit and they did a very nice job with the arc. They worked quickly and were in and out in less than 2 days.This is the 3rd time we've used Legends for paver work and they never disappoint. We are so comfortable with their skills and abilities that we don't even get bids from anyone else on pavers, we simply call them.

No longer the ugly duckling on the block! For eight years we had irrigation problems, drainage problems, and we lost our grass because of the wild horses. We've had bao luck with other landscaping companies and worried about getting things done right the first time. We called 4 different companies with DRC Landscaping coming out on top with the best initial service, overall plan, and timeline.Danny and Bella were great from beginning to end. The introduced us to their crew, lead by Juan. From start to finishing everything was great. They cleaned up every day, secured the fence for our dogs, they even finished ahead of schedule. All of my biggest concerns and worries from past experiences were not only addressed but resolved.They made our previously installed paver patio more secure and added a much needed sitting space. We have gorgeous grass for the first in forever! I wanted a dry riverbed running through the property and the crew made Bella's plans come to life. The basics are done: regrading, new irrigation, rocks, curbing, sitting wall. Come spring we will start phase two with plants, a tree or two, and some decorative rock to finish it up and make it perfect! It was a bit more than we planned to spend but we are on half an acre and needed all new everything. It was worth every penny and we made a great choice with DRC. Great big thank you to Danny, Bella, and the crew for all their hard work. Can't wait to finish phase two in the spring!

I have seen a ganstead chiropractor for years. He took X-rays and ALWAYS re-evaluated them. When I moved I was hesitant to see just anyone. With my career and being rear ended my neck has been a challenge. I finally saw a chiropractor in my area and I felt very uncomfortable he never asked about X-rays and I always felt worse. 1 year later I was told of Dr Brecke by a few of my neighbors. I made a phone call and the front desk “Jules” made me feel like I was being heard. They got me in and stayed late for me. He took my Xrays and told me things I’ve heard before and some I had not- I work in dental and I could now visually see my jaw deviated to one side! . He looked at my whole body not just my neck. When he adjusted me I didn’t even realize I was being adjusted but I felt better. The pressure was gone! I can’t even write into words the pain I had for weeks and within an hour it was 80% better and this was my first appt. The initial cost was worth it and to know he is not adjusting me blindly and with X-rays can see where my problem areas are. Even my initial appt the massage therapist was there and giving pointers on how to help my knees. How I wish I came sooner, super sweet people- and a wonderful office. Even my sinus is better ?

Dr. Matt is great!! I came in with high anxiety due to having a bad experience with a Chiropractor many years ago. I was advised by many friends to go to a chiropractor because I was in excruciating pain from a severe sciatica pinch causing my leg to be numb and not being able to get much sleep for over a week due to the pain. Dr. Matt was very welcoming, understanding and informative. I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! Day by day slowly but surely it's getting better. I'm hoping to be pain free soon. Thanks again Dr. Matt to you and the staff who have all been awesome!!

I've been seeing Marcos at Body in Kneed for about 4 months now and he's the best masseuse I've had in a long time. He really listens to you and what your problem areas are and customizes the experience for you. The stretches he performs on me are incredible and leave me feeling so good after my sessions. Super cool dude who's great at what he does and has a real passion for wellness and recovery. Highly recommend if you are tired of cookie cutter massages other places offer.

When we called to book 3 massages, we had a hard time getting them together, in fact our friend making the appointments received a call back asking us to reschedule, which we did. Appointments were close enough to not be an issue, and the massages were great, however, we had been told my massage would be less expensive because it was my first and my friends would be less expensive because it was her birthday. I don’t know if hers was discounted, but I paid full price, and this was after the receptionist even mentioned it being my first massage. My fault for not saying anything as I was paying, but I really shouldn’t have to. Other than that, all of us were happy with our massages and will probably be back from time to time (we were all going to sign up for a membership, but are holding off on that for now).Just found out I was mistaken about not getting the first timer’s discount and wanted to clarify on my review. We were very happy with our service.

If you’re trying to learn to drive a semi truck, take a refresher course or go up in endorsements look no further. They have some of the nicest trucks in the area. I looked at “other schools” in Reno and and Carson City and the “other schools” had abused trucks with large class sizes and the biggest problem, a time limit.(A real problem if you have a full time job). After finding Desert knights I knew this was the place I wanted to learn at. Small classes virtually 1-1 go at your own pace and patient instructors. They’re a local, family owned and veteran run outfit. A no nonsense, get you where you want to be going business. Jesse, Boss lady, Mike, Stephen, Matt and Jimmy are the best in the business.
