“Performance Unlimited is the best gym I've ever been a member of by far. The facilities are nice and well-equipped, but the dedicated and knowledgeable top-notch employees / trainers / coaches are the true difference maker. I've been a member at PU for 2.5 years now (the longest I've stayed with a gym) and have seen great improvement in my strength, conditioning, and mobility. But, to get there, we had to overcome some prior injuries and weaknesses (i.e., low back pain) that required thoughtful training, programming, and a real attention to proper form. The tailored approach here is incredibly helpful both mentally and physically, and I look forward to continuing to improve with the PU team.“

“I cannot say enough great things about the team at Inertia Fitness! The trainers are professional and experienced with personal training. They help you accomplish your fitness and nutritional goals. The nutricional aspect was a big plus for me! I’ve trained with other personal trainers but Inertia has helped me the most with my relationship with food (eating more protein and knowing that is okay to have carbs).If you are looking for someone who actually cares about your body and mind this is the place for you.I have less issues with upper and lower back pain, I have energy, feel stronger and I eat fairly well as a result of all they have taught me. “Pure Motion Performance is awesome!! As an avid weightlifter and runner, maintaining my mobility/flexibility is key to my active lifestyle. My weekly stretch session has really improved my recovery time and my ability to keep doing the things I love. Rachael is incredibly knowledgeable about biomechanics, she always takes the time to understand my individual needs, and she’s easy to work with on booking sessions around my schedule. “Long review, but Alloy is so amazing, needed to give my full, honest review.I am 43 and moved to Charlotte in October.I had gained so much weight and had lost the motivation once had, to go to work out classes where I used to live. I discovered and joined Alloy the week I moved and I can’t say enough amazing things. I don’t dread working out and I look forward to going there. Literally. Alloy is group training, with a ton of individualized attention. Trainers make sure you’re doing the exercises properly, are extremely motivating and all experts in the field. There are certain exercises that are too hard for me, but the trainers easily modify if I want, so I’m still working that particular area, just more manageable for me. There are people of all ages and stages in their fitness journey at Alloy which is nice, as everyone can go at their own pace and use weights, etc best for them. The environment is also great, everything is really nice, really clean and always great music. I just can’t stay enough good things about the trainers, they are all just wonderful. Ben and Darius are absolutely incredible, Brenna at the front desk is so great and Landon the director as well! After doing my last imbody a few days ago, I have lost 40 pounds since October, my body fat percentage has gone considerably down and I am much stronger then I was when walked through the doors in October. Alloy has been the most successful fitness program I have done and highly encourage anyone reading this, to go in and try a class, will not be disappointed.“

“Black Belt USA is an excellent choice if you're interested in learning a martial art, increasing your level of fitness, or even training to complete.The Kings are a husband and wife team who personally run the business and are hands-on helping their students achieve whatever goals they may have.I started Muay Thai many years ago while looking for something to get me into better shape and learn some self-defense techniques in the process. It was intimidating to walk in but the Kings made me feel welcome and took their time teaching me the basics while I steadily gained skill and confidence.After several years life got in the way and I stopped attending. But once my young son was old enough, I knew Black Belt USA would be the only school I would want him to be a part of. I enrolled him in Tae Kwon Do and just like I experienced, the Kings and their student teachers have challenged him but done so in a caring way to help him grow and gain his own confidence. They have such a great way with kids that you feel at ease as a parent.After a while I felt the itch to come back to Muay Thai. Now mind you I'm approaching AARP age at this point, but the beauty of this school is that it is everything for everyone. So while I'm there to keep father time a little further away, some of my peers in class are training for competitions, or progressing through the ranks to eventually become instructors themselves. We range in age from some in high school to those who are nearing retirement. But we're all there to achieve our own personal goals and create some lasting friendships while we're at it.I've been meaning to write this for quite some time as I do believe we have one of the best all-around martial arts schools right here in Charlotte. So if you want to get into shape or master TKD and/or Muay Thai, give BBUSA a try, you'll feel right at home!“

“I am a primary care physician. 63 years old. I am also a lifelong athlete and sports enthusiast that has had his share of injuries & strains, orthopedic surgeries, etc. Plus I am getting older so things don’t heal as fast, and have some joints with nagging arthritis. So as such, I have both referred patients to, and have been myself to, many physical therapists, chiropractors, osteopathic MDs, orthopedic surgeons, acupuncturists, deep tissue massage therapists, and others over the years. So when one of my osteopathic MD friends suggested I see Yusuf, I just couldn’t understand what he could do that all these others couldn’t do. But I finally went during the summer of 2021 because I had nagging hamstring strain that was not getting better. He was able to rehab that injury back to health. But he did it by focusing less on the injured tendons/muscles, and more on the surrounding muscles and tendons, strengthening those areas, improving pelvic asymmetry and posture, and providing stretching and strengthening exercises. This allows the injured area to heal more rapidly and naturally.Yusuf was previously an NBA trainer (I believe for ~8yr) who decided to open his own business. But he also has had training and a lot of experience in multiple other disciplines related to sports medicine, rehabbing injuries, and “functional orthopedic biomechanics.” That is sort of my own term, but basically he knows how all the muscles, tendons and joints function and work together, and also how they can be out of sync with one another, thereby either creating new pains/injuries, or exacerbating existing injuries, or preventing the normal healing process. He is able to keenly assess what the problem is very quickly. He has superb knowledge of the musculoskeletal system and its functions. He is able to formulate a plan and will work with you until you no longer need him.So I will just tell you some of the things he has successfully helped me with: The nagging hamstring strain I mentioned; nagging calf strain; persistent low back pain; medial epicondylitis (golfer’s elbow). I have decreased range of motion of my left shoulder from arthritis, which has limited some of the things I want to do. Through manipulation, stretching and proper muscle strengthening, he has improved my range of motion enough that I can do some things I was not able to do, and to improve my ability to lift weights (effectively and safely). I have some arthritis in my left knee that has hampered me. He has helped me strengthen my leg and core so my knee causes me less problems. He even helped train me to get in better shape and function better as a beginner/intermediate kiteboarder.I believe Yusuf is not just for the athlete. If you are someone who has a persistent musculoskeletal pain that just won’t get better, or musculoskeletal problems that cause you functional limitations, it is probably worth seeing Yusuf to see if he can help. “My time with Taylor was invaluable and absolutely what I needed to get me on track with my fitness goals. In every session and email, Taylor was very informative and gave lots of details for any concept or exercise he was explaining. He made it clear what was needed to reach certain goals, and has many methods of tracking progress. If you adhere to what he sets out for you, you will see results.His private gym is very clean and all of his equipment is well maintained. All workouts are 1-on-1 with him, which is great to have an environment where I could ask questions and get the direct training I need for my goals. He is very responsive to any communication you may have with him outside of your sessions as well.Overall, I appreciate Taylor for giving me a new mindset towards fitness and exercise. I have a better understanding of what it takes to reach my goals. He also helped me reached one of my main goals with working with him, which is to get better at deadlifting. “For years I've been trying to get back to my peak, 20 year old self, but with a full time job, a family, and 3hrs of daily commuting, getting to the gym was pretty much a pipe dream. Then I found VIP Training... They not only are extremely knowledgeable in nutrition and training but they are also professional, affordable, flexible, and MOBILE!!! yes... MOBILE!!! They offer a specialized meal plan tailored to just me. They also provided me with workouts so I can do them at home. I didn't need a gym. I'm feeling the effects of their guidance and I have to say I'm really happy that I made the decision to work with Victoria and Isiah.“
