“Our now 10 year old child signed-up with Master Wilson’s studio just after their 5th birthday. Though we moved out of Charlotte after 2 years, we continued to make the drive twice weekly. FOR 3 YEARS!! Sadly, this year, with our schedules filling-up, we had to say “farewell” as the commute became difficult for us.Master Wilson and his instructors were a great pleasure to work with - as both mentors and friends. Our hope is that we find a studio like this in our area. (Still searching!)“

“Black Belt USA is an excellent choice if you're interested in learning a martial art, increasing your level of fitness, or even training to complete. The Kings are a husband and wife team who personally run the business and are hands-on helping their students achieve whatever goals they may have.I started Muay Thai many years ago while looking for something to get me into better shape and learn some self-defense techniques in the process. It was intimidating to walk in but the Kings made me feel welcome and took their time teaching me the basics while I steadily gained skill and confidence. After several years life got in the way and I stopped attending. But once my young son was old enough, I knew Black Belt USA would be the only school I would want him to be a part of. I enrolled him in Tae Kwon Do and just like I experienced, the Kings and their student teachers have challenged him but done so in a caring way to help him grow and gain his own confidence. They have such a great way with kids that you feel at ease as a parent. After a while I felt the itch to come back to Muay Thai. Now mind you I'm approaching AARP age at this point, but the beauty of this school is that it is everything for everyone. So while I'm there to keep father time a little further away, some of my peers in class are training for competitions, or progressing through the ranks to eventually become instructors themselves. We range in age from some in high school to those who are nearing retirement. But we're all there to achieve our own personal goals and create some lasting friendships while we're at it.I've been meaning to write this for quite some time as I do believe we have one of the best all-around martial arts schools right here in Charlotte. So if you want to get into shape or master TKD and/or Muay Thai, give BBUSA a try, you'll feel right at home!“

“My daughter started here when she was 12, and has been taking for almost 2 years. She has met so many great people and friends and it has really helped with her self confidence. She loves that they incorporate karate, self defense, wrestling skills, and other things! Last fall my 6 year old son begged me to start letting him take classes too, so he’s been going ever since. He has a blast while learning all kinds of “ninja” skills. Everyone working there is so nice and great with all ages of kids. I highly recommend giving them a try if you’re looking for a martial arts studio either for ongoing classes or birthday parties etc. they really know how to teach, engage and entertain!“
