“Amazing place! Coach Dave is phenomenal—his expertise and passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are evident in his teaching style. He made sure to give personalized attention to everyone in the class, making me feel included and motivated.

“Sr. Master Landrum and the staff at ATA Martial Arts Andover are all fantastic. My boys love going to class and they learn vital values and skills every class. Sr. Master Landrum prepares all students (no matter the age) to act, perform, and live like black belts. All classes have a variety of students at different levels, and the staff is accommodating for all of them. If you are looking for an activity which provides exercise, development of core values & skills, and discipline… look no further! I believe they offer a 6 week trial class and they do birthday parties, too!“

“Steve Nugents karate Institute has 2 main karate schools or called "dojos", this one in Winchester and the main one on Cambridge Street in Burlington, Mass. They structure their programs around safety and awareness, overall respect, and good basic karate self defense skills. Their instructors led by Grandmaster Nugent are super trained, even in first aid and cpr, which I thought was excellent. They are super passionate and attentive toward their student and actually are quite caring, which I have never found in my searching for quality karate schools. Definitely check them out... I am very impressed !“

“I have been wanting to try martial arts for the last 6 years but life got in the way, as if often does. Recently, I realized that NOW was the time to try something that would not only help me with my physical health but mental health as well. When googling 'adult karate' in my neighborhood, I was pleasantly surprised to see a dojo close to me with very positive reviews. That was just a few months ago and I truly can't comprehend how much Sensei Rocky DiRico's dojo and his teachings has changed my life for the better. Sensei Rocky's dojo attracts exceptionally kind people (adults AND children) of all walks of life. The is a direct correlation to Sensei Rocky and the energy he puts into his teachings and just life in general. Since joining Sensei Rocky's dojo and taking karate lessons weekly, I find myself worrying less about things out of my control and just feeling mentally healthier and happier. I had heard many positive stories on how martial arts has helped children but had no idea how much it would help me as an adult as well. A huge thank you to Sensei Rocky!“

“My two kids have been training martial arts for over 5 years at Gymstreet DH TKD. They both enjoy the classes and attend regularly. As a parent, I’m grateful to have Master Hung teach my kids Tae Kwon Do and Self Defense. He has a unique way to motivate his students to become a better version of themselves. From the beginning of their journey to today, they have developed confidence and are disciplined. Importantly, they have become stronger as a person physically and mentally. Thank you Dragon Heart Tae Kwon Do and Master Hung for all the support!“

The Self Defense Institute Martial Arts Schools

“The Self Defense is much more than a five star martial arts institute. My daughter has been involved with martial arts at The Self Defense Institute for over nine years and has enjoyed every minute. I have the highest respect for the wonderful and skilled schools instructors and their programs. Training at The Self Defense Institute has been been a positive influence in every aspect of my daughters life. The values of respect for family, striving for academic sucess and the actual self defense training have been invaluable to her. I could not possibly list all the ways that TSDI has positvely influenced her life, but through her years of training just to name a few, she has learned patience, compassion, self control, confidence and perserverance. She will carry these skills (as well as the memories of her friendships formed and her respect and gratefulness for her Shihans) with her always. I dont believe there is a better martial arts acadamy out there. Kudos to TSDI“

“I have been studying Uechi-Ryu karate since I was twelve years old. Upon my first visit as a young teen striving for black belt I knew that it was one of the best schools in New England if not the world. I started at another dojo and always admired the strong and poised students of Alan Azoff's Martial Arts Academy. I was fortunate to get the opportunity to enroll there as I returned to Uechi-Ryu karate after a brief hiatus studying Judo. I chose the school as an adult knowing that it was a place of excellence, respect, and camaraderie. The headmaster of this dojo is one of the best martial artists I've ever met in addition to being a gifted storyteller. He knows the history of Uechi-Ryu karate because he has been at the heart of it at every turn. The virtues of black belt instilled here have improved my life in more ways than I can count. I cannot recommend the school enough. Come try a class and you'll see what I mean!“

“Master Mike not only has partnered with Lowell Middlesex Academy Charter School for the past two academic years to provide my high school students outstanding martial arts lessons coupled with organic farming, today he welcomed Logan, my 8 year-old son, as the newest member of the children's class! Therefore, it's fair to say that I have had ample opportunity to observe Master Mike teach. As an educator myself, I am thoroughly impressed with him and his well planned programs! In short, I highly recommend the Green Dragons! ??“

Elite Freestyle Karate Martial Arts Schools

“We began with Elite Freestylekarate shortly after we moved here. We have been very happy with our decisions. Though I was initially put off with how speedily kids were moved along and the costs, I came to understand the necessity that given the commitment required, it is helpful to allow kids to see progress. I have seen my daughter begin to really master many of these skills as she progresses and in most classes there is always a point to stress the basics, that all the more advanced skills are built upon. I feel that all the progress I have seen in my daughter with respect to fitness, maturity, commitment, and martial arts skill have justified the expense. The Senseis are always respectful and I credit their ability to manage such diverse classes, diverse in backgrounds, ages, and behaviors.“
