I am brand new to going to the gym (full time), just moved back home from college, and was so nervous to actually start. Decided to give hotworx a try with the trial class and they made me feel so comfortable and welcome! I am the type of person that is pretty anxious about being judged or lesser than others, but the girls here make me feel like anything but! Literally feel so welcomed here. Gina (i think that’s her name) gave me my tour and signed me up, and Annabelle is my fav and always has a smile on her face. I could have the most stressful day ever and be running late to my class, and Annabelle already has my sauna heated up for me to the temp I like. I feel like family when I go to workout and it is SO refreshing compared to most gyms. Thank you to these amazing workers!“

I have tried diets, fasting, books, and various workout routines (over a decade of these attempts). They did not work well, and I was left frustrated. At that moment, I realized losing weight was slipping beyond my reach, which led me to AYC Fitness. The prices were reasonable, and I appreciated having one-on-one time with a professional who tailored the routines to my needs as we are all different. I appreciate how Glen cares and encourages you to reach your desired outcomes. Working out twice a week for a year with no dieting has yielded a loss of over 35 pounds. My body has become sculpted in ways I never thought possible. The experience has helped me not only physically but also mentally as well. I make wiser choices in what I eat and learned to develop better healthy habits. I am excited to see what will happen in another year. All thanks to Glen!“

7308 W 80th St, Overland Park“I LOVE this gym concept, and I love this gym! This is NOT your typical hot yoga! It’s so much better! I love maximizing my bang for buck, and this is the ticket! I have never seen such immediate results, and I have never found myself INSPIRED to keep up my workout routine! I WANT to go. I don’t like to miss more than two days in a row- my body begins to crave it (like dark chocolate. Mmm…) I’m not sure if I like the workouts or getting out of the sauna after the intense heat better. The classes run 24/7 for members, and with a variety of both 15 minute HIIT classes and 45 min ISO classes, there’s no way to mess it up or make excuses. Super bonus: the staff at this location is also lovely. Thank you, HOTWORX and team!!! I appreciate you all, and my newfound magical exercise “medicine!”“

“I would like very much to share the amazing experience(s) I have had as a client of Barbara while taking her classes since October, 2021.This is my second experience with following a class in Yoga since last taking a class at the YMCA in NKC about three years ago. I think what makes this time around exceptional is the ability to do classes remotely (saving time), but more so the extraordinary opportunity to have discovered classes offered by such an enthusiastic and motivated Yogi as Barbara Anderson. Barbara’s experience, knowledge, skill, energy, and unmatched personality makes this second experience an unparalleled discovery.Since having stopped following classes with my first experience with Yoga classes, I have had challenges with lower back pain at times that I have encountered while working on various home projects as well as while sleeping at night, in addition to planar fasciitis resulting from walking extensively several times a week with old shoes.A visit to a physical therapist was helpful with recommendations for doing stretching exercises before walking. But he also advised me of the need to perform varied types of physical movements in a balanced manner to avoid over use of muscles, ligaments and tendons using only one type of movement. This was the reason I had decided to return to Yoga once again.Barbara's classes (Yoga and Awareness Through Movement) are the reason I find myself more readily able to move into late winter and early spring projects without pre-conditioning, as well as being able to sleep at night without needing to wear a back brace. I have been able to do this while following five to six classes a week with Barbara. It is proof beyond doubt that regular and balanced movement can have a significant impact on your quality of life no matter the age of an individual.As Barbara often says, “Reach, reach, reach!”, and “Reach for the ceiling!”Thanks for the experience.“

The instructors are all very kind, knowledgable, and make it a welcoming space for everyone. It doesn't matter where you are at in your pilates journey or what your strength level is, the instructors will work with you and let you take it at a pace you are comfortable with. I have a injury that has limited me with other types of exercises, but as long as you let your instructor know before class, they will make modifications to accommodate you. While Pilates is low impact, you will notice the toning of muscles you wouldn't normally workout with other exercises! Highly recommend coming here!“
