Want to check in with an A++ review for Lauren A. New to DSM and I travel for work so have to find new stylists wherever I go. I called the salon and left a message I needed a short haircut and had read some great reviews. They called me back so quickly and were able to book me in with Lauren- she is someone who listens, asks questions, pulls up pictures and looks at your pics all to get the idea of what you want and what will look good. I can never say what I want but somehow she figured out what was and wasn't working. Lauren worked with my crazy cowlicks to give me a great cut/style with a plan for how to keep it getting better and better. Everyone at the salon is so nice, its a great vibe. I would recommend Trixie's and Lauren A to anyone in the area looking for a great short cut for women.

It's a single stylist shop, appointments only. She was very welcoming and friendly, not critical of my effort, and we chatted comfortably. We came to get pedicures for a bachelorette weekend and had great service. The staff were ready for us when we arrived. The place seemed very clean (even the bathroom was clean). We watched as they unpackaged the tools to use on each of us, and observed multiple small foot scrubbers lined up on the carts that appeared to be single use for each individual. They spent time to thoroughly trim cuticles without causing pain. They were careful and gentle around cuts or other problem areas on our feet. Overall we had a great experience and were impressed by the professionalism and cleanliness.

I am a regular at Hawaii Nails and recommend them highly. I have had pedicures elsewhere but this place is my top choice, and the prices are quite reasonable. With a small staff, they do their best to accommodate both appointments and walk-in customers, but sometimes a delay is inevitable if a previous customer has shown up late for their appointment. Isn't part of the point in having a pedicure to have some relaxation time? Why schedule your pedicure right before you have something else to dash off to? A disgruntled customer managed to sour the atmosphere there for me yesterday, because she had to wait a few extra minutes after her appointment time.
My nail tech was Kim and she was amazing! She did the exact design I wanted (maybe even more perfect). From my past experiences this was the best one yet and I’m highly satisfied with their amazing attitudes and kindness especially because they stayed until almost 8!

Wendee has cut my hair for several years. Results are always good. I text for an appointment and will get an almost immediate response with several options. All works well with the appointment as I never have to wait. Wendee cuts only men’s hair and knows what she is doing.

We have fun with my hair on a random occasion, but she is perfectly fine letting me be boring. The family run salon is adorable. It has ample parking and they offer all types of services. I go for the great hair service. It is always chill her. There is always smiles and laughter. The services are adequately priced. I am going to keep coming here and would recommend Jamie 100%

I stumbled across Hush Spa because it's a walkable distance from my home. During my first visit, I had a 90-minute massage with Abby. I must say, the staff was extremely attentive and accommodating, which I really appreciate. They took me on a tour, listened to my concerns, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire experience. I also must add that Hush Spa is incredibly aesthetically pleasing. The color coordination with the pink, navy blue, gold, and marble is just perfect. It's not just cute or pretty, but absolutely lovely! We also did the Bronze Package which included cameras to check everything out, for our own piece of mind if we were looking at future problems. Anthony gave us recommendations on a treatment to do every few months to keep everything flowing smooth. Highly recommend Clog Busters from start to finish! I'm a firm believer you get what you pay for, yes they might not have been the cheapest, but the service we received was absolutely worth it!

They quoted us nearly half what their competitors were quoting, did the job in half the time (one day to replace the pipe and another day to repair the street, whereas competitors were estimating five days), AND did less damage to my yard since they didn't have to dig out the length of the pipes.

TJ advised us of issues with the plumbing to our kitchen which was causing another issue , he ensured that was fully replaced so we didn’t have to keep having plumbers come out after getting such a big job done. They replaced our sewer, water line and all plumbing to our kitchen. Very reasonably priced for the extent of the job and extremely respectful. I have 220 service to a heating appliance in my garage and my 40 amp breaker tripped for the first time since the garage was built 3 years ago. I could see some melting had occurred inside the subpanel. I called Mickle on Tuesday and 2 techs arrived at my home the following day 10 minutes before the stated time. Shortly afterwards Shane called me at work to review the issues and what they would need to do to get it fixed including replacing the subpanel and running heavier gauge wire to the heating unit. They were extremely professional and made the necessary repairs within a few hours. I take a lot of pride in my garage as we use it for recreational space among other things. Their work was outstanding and I'm now getting the highest efficiency out of the appliance. Furthermore Shane called the following day to make sure the work was to our satisfaction which was a nice added touch. We recently had a generator installed by Action and couldn't be more pleased. Tyler did a great job of working hard in the rain to complete the job. The office was great at communicating and letting us know what to expect for maintenance. The cost of maintenance seems very reasonable considering they do come to your home and take away the old oil and filters.

Had an old key with their name on it from my mother's estate. We had no clue what it was for. I brought it by the shop and they did their best in trying to identify it and what it would be for. Unfortunately, historical records were incomplete from the business changing hands a couple of times over the last 25+ years. They checked their computer and paper files to no avail. They showed me what the lock would look like to keep my eyes open, but they couldn't help beyond that. Very friendly and helpful, just not successful.
I have been using Des Moines Lock for around 20 years at this point. They are by far the best locksmiths in the whole city. Zack is such a nice guy. I do not have one bad thing to say. The prices are also very reasonable. They do a great, quality job.

Toby and Melvin did a fantastic job on our living room renovations. My husband and I spent a long time and talked to many companies before we found CPIA. After the difficulty in finding a company interested in doing our project, it was a relief when Toby and Melvin were excited to take it on! They painstakingly scraped/stripped white latex paint off our original 1930s solid oak wall library, stained and refinished it. (Other companies told us to demolish it and rebuild it with cheap materials, because it would be too much work to refinish it). Toby also worked with us to design and build a beautiful solid oak window bench that looks like it fits perfectly with the original bookcase. They communicated well with us throughout the entire process, paid attention to the details, and took their time and did high quality work. We are so happy with how it turned out! My husband and I hired Marcia to help us redesign our kitchen and laundry room in the fall of 2021. She was professional and courteous from the first minute we met her. She walked through our entire house with us to get a feel for who we are and our style, listened closely to learn about what we wanted, and was open to our ideas and suggestions. Marcia sat down on the spot and sketched out some ideas with us present, shared her vision with us, and listened to our feedback. Her plans reflected a balance of beauty, style, and practicality that fit us to a T. We rolled with the plans, and a year later, are finally finished with the remodel. We couldn't be more pleased with how our home looks and feels now! It is open, yet the spaces are clearly defined. We have PLENTY of storage. The pantry is spacious enough that I could move all the items we previously stored in the hall closet to the kitchen. We had shelves custom built for the pantry and it's perfect. We hosted Thanksgiving for 10 people and at least at one point had 5-6 people in the kitchen. It never felt crowded. It's easy to have multiple people in the space working together without being in each other's way! I can also open and unload the dishwasher easily, putting dishes away with just a few steps. I can bring in groceries and put them away efficiently. We can find what we need without searching or having to rearrange things or get down on the floor. I can see what we have easily and don't have stale food forgotten in the back of the pantry. Our laundry room is also incredibly functional. Marcia's plan for integrating an unnecessary hallway into the space worked out beautifully. We highly recommend Marcia for your project. One of her strengths not yet mentioned is that she keeps a realistic budget in mind. What we saved in unnecessary expenses made the already modest cost of her services well worth the investment.
This Review is long overdue, but Mike & Brady and the rest of the team at Midwest Seamless deserve props for a job well done. A couple years ago we hired Midwest Seamless to replace windows in our 100-year-old home, and they did a fantastic job. The crew was incredibly professional and worked quickly to finish the project in a timely manner. I must give an honorable mention to Nando the lead installer for the crew. One of the tasks they had was converting a window into a sliding door where we were building a deck off the back of the house. As mentioned, we have an old house with trim around interior windows and doorways that I assumed would be unmatchable. Nando and crew were able to replicate the trim in a manner that you cannot tell the difference at all. Since installing the windows we've seen a noticeable savings in our energy bills over the hottest stretches of summer and coldest stretches of winter. He was very considerate of our needs, worked hard all day, gave us pointers on how to best use the shower and answered any questions we had. The quality of Jason's work was very impressive, as was the depth of knowledge he had about the entire process.
Bill came right away and gave me a detailed description of the process and what will happen. Chris came the following day and did a thorough job. They are to be back for the follow up in a week.
I continue to be impressed by the work Mike does. He is helpful on routine pest control, but always makes time for immediate/urgent needs. I havent had the sort of pest issues i was dealing with since working with Presto-X Pest Control and i have Mike to thank for that!

We've used BUG man for years. First the owner coming out then his staff. Same great service and products. We live on the edge of town. Little creepy-crawlies could be a problem. Not since using the Bug man. We have 5 kids and 2 dogs. No issues with odor, residue or vapors. On-time, they ensure we are covered spring and fall. Staff is friendly, courteous and professional. Had Don and Tommy out to trim 5 mature trees in my yard. Don was quick to call me back, show up for an estimate and was VERY fairly priced compared to a competitor estimate. They got on the job quickly (when conditions allowed). They were also mindful to limit damage to the yard, which isn’t completely avoidable even without equipment as I had large, high limbs, including one over the house. I would definitely use them again.

Kevin Turnbull & his crew were a lifesaver. Part of a very, very tall tree fell on my house. He and his crew were there within 48 hours to remove the section from my house. Kevin was very reassuring and provided some very helpful information about next steps. When they arrived later to take down the rest of the tree, the crew was very careful and meticulous as they removed each branch. They cleaned up the yard so it looked like the tree had never been there. Even the insurance adjuster said their prices were right on target. Kevin was great to work with. After going to a different dental office where the people there were not friendly, and I was quoted an outrageous price for the procedure I needed done. I was very apprehensive about going into another dentist office.From the very beginning I knew it would be a better experience. I spoke wirh Gia to set up an appointment. When I walked in the door Gia was at the from desk right away she was so nice, and made me feel very welcome.I then went back into the room.Tracy and Dr. Kouri were really great, and made me feel so comfortable. The day I went back for the procedure once again Gia was so nice and made me feel like I had been going there for years. I didn't feel at all nervous.Tracy was great, she really made me feel very calm before ,during, and after the procedure, she did a great job explaining everything that I needed to do after the procedure. Dr.Kouri was great, he explained everything that he was doing before, and during the procedure. Dr. Kouri also made me feel like I had been a patient of his for years.I can't ever remember going to a dentist office, and not feeling at all nervous the way I did at this office. The cost to get the procedure done was less than half the cost of the other dentist.I would highly recommend them!

I called and was able to schedule an appointment the same week which was already a great sign. During my first appointment I knew I was in the right place. We talked for a whole hour about my health and chiropractic goal's AND how we’re going to reach them together. The first 6 weeks we dove right into chiropractic care and started my nutrition journey as well. By the end of the 6 weeks I was sleeping deeper and longer, had an incredibly less painful period, and noticeably less nausea and headaches throughout the day. I found this clinic was I was in need of an adjustment due to health concerns and she gave me holistic approaches to heal and keep my body happy. I have been going to Dr Susan for many years. She has helped me with sinus problems, back problems, and aches and pains. Last January 2019 I fell on the ice and bruised my tailbone. That was very painful, however Dr Susan really helped me recover from that. There have also been times when I've injured my back due to falling off a horse, and injuring it at work, but after just one visit (no joke) I felt much better. She does take insurance or self-pay. She's a great chiropractor and I recommend her on a semi-regular basis to all of my friends on Facebook.

My back was in a serious pain. I couldn't walk with my back straight. I found Sexton Chiropractic and Wellness by Google search and made a same day appointment online. Doctor Sexton showed great empathy looking at me walking in his facility. He took X-Rays and performed chiropractic adjustments on my back. I felt a lot better after the first treatment. He explained my x-rays result. He also had me utilize one of his traction tables, and instructed me how to care myself at home. After 4 sessions within a week, I am healed, and feel free and healthy again. Dr. Sexton is extremely courteous, friendly, and professional. His front desk staff is also very friendly and efficient. The facility is very clean and very well equipped. I am grateful that Dr. Sexton relieves my pain and discomfort. I will keep visiting him for routine adjustments to maintain and improve my wellness.
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Heyer and the staff! I’ve been to a few vets, but she is by far the most attentive and caring I’ve encountered. She is incredibly patient, always willing to answer my questions, and truly goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and informed. My cat is FIV positive, and Dr. Heyer took the time to thoroughly explain what that means, answering all of my concerns with compassion. She even checks in with us, which means a lot. If you’re looking for a vet who genuinely cares about your pet’s well-being, I highly recommend Dr. Heyer!

I have a medical problem child who in her almost 9 years of life has had medical issues of one sort or another almost the whole time. Her medical records are in book form and she has her own medicine cabinet.? With her latest issue our hometown vet was giving us the runaround and prescribing even more pills and crossing their fingers. Nothing helped. Ok we're done here. Found the Wellness Center on line, called for an appointment and got in almost right away. The Doc checked her out and told me of the tests they could run but they weren't equipped to do an endoscope which is what was probably needed to be done to get to the bottom of her problem. The Doc referred us to another clinic that could do this and so ended our visit here. Needless to say I was disappointed because I really thought we'd finally get some answers. We did however get connected with the other clinic a couple of weeks later and this doctor came through for us. Angel was diagnosed with mega esophagus, aspiration pneumonia, and a uti More meds, a new diet plan and a different way of doing things and Angel is doing much better! And I have to applaud the Wellness Center even though we were only there that once because instead of running us through the ringer like our hometown vet she pointed us to where we needed to go. It truly shows that her patients well being is No. 1. And with that I thank her and her staff!

I can't recommend Beaverdale Vet Clinic enough! I called 20 minutes before closing when my dog broke her dew claw and our regular vet was closed for the day.
