“We completed our routine eye examinations with our opthalmologist who gave my husband a new prescription for his eye wear. Amazingly, his vision has improved, well, slightly improved since his last prescription just two years ago and he also wanted to update his eyeglasses style. Fortunately, we recently received a promotional flyer for 50% discount of lenses with purchase of new frames and decided to check out the inventory at this LensCrafters location. Unlike the main store of LensCrafters in the Ala Moana Center, we found this Macy's site to be cozier, less busy and offering more personalized attention. We met with Christopher, one of the two friendly and experienced sales representatives, who assisted my husband in finding a frame to fit his face shape and personality. Afterall, getting the proper fit and style for eye wear is not only for function but can be looked at as fashion or style accessory. While my husband browsed the displays, Christopher showed him several frame colors and styles from different designers as well as the latest arrivals. It didn't take too much time before my husband spotted a frame style and color that he wanted and would be comfortable with. Chris held onto the prescription while measuring and fitting the frames and lenses on my husband's face. Once Christopher completed the fitting, he processed the transaction and then cleaned my husband's current glasses and replaced the nose pads. Chris even took the time to adjust my non-prescription sunglasses, which were "out of whack" because I had stupidly thrown them into my purse without the case, and it got jangled and bent with its contents. So, now, we're waiting to pick up my husband's new eyeglasses, and we're thankful for Chris' friendly professionalism and expertise.“

“My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Portis for over 20 years and have always been impressed and very happy with our care. He performed my wife's LASIK with great results, and he just replaced my cataracts with Toric lenses and the Femtosecond laser, with fantastic results.I was more terrified than the average person I suppose and ready to travel ANYWHERE to have cataract surgery if it meant lessening the risk of complications, though some of the people around him (and other MD's) convinced me he'd be a great choice. But mostly it was my appraisal of him: cautious, ethical, conscientious, and very smart--which won me over. He was also willing to take a lot of time to explain the different options and the procedure, as well as fully appraising my eyes.I wanted to go to someone with experience and who does a fair number of cataract surgeries too--not a factory, but enough to be really good at it, which is what I felt most comfortable with. “I recently had a health scare concerning my eyes and had the amazing luck of getting Dr. Sarah Ho as my eye doctor. I’ve seen her twice now and both times, she was very attentive to my needs. She’s very well educated and you can tell she takes her job seriously. She followed up with me via phone call after my appointments and I was surprised to hear from her. Normally, most doctors let their reception staff do follow ups so I was surprised that the actual doctor was following up. I really appreciated this because when you have anxiety over something as important as your eyes, it’s a lot more comforting to hear from the actual doctor themselves who can instantly answer any of your questions/concerns. I truly recommend Dr. Sarah Ho. She’s great.The doctors office is a little hard to find, it’s on the second floor of the building and the front door is towards the middle of the building. Regardless, still a great place to go.“

“I needed an eye exam in order to get a new set of eyeglasses made (my prior prescription was six years old and I hadn't visited an eye doctor since having them made). I was referred to Dr. Inouchi by a trusted friend and am delighted I acted on that friend's referral for three main reasons:1) Attention to Detail- Dr. Inouchi was thorough in her examination. She took her time to ensure all aspects of my eyes/vision were healthy, which let me know she is passionate about what she does and truly cares about her patient's wellbeing.2) Education- Dr. Inouchi took the time to explain to me what she was doing throughout the examination and why she was doing it. This gave me a better understanding of my own eyes and enhanced my comfort with the overall process.3) Kindness- She was really nice; simple as that...Additional benefit- the staff member (Alexis) who serviced my pre and post examination was also very thorough and kind.I wasn't planning on purchasing my eyeglasses from their office because I already had my frame and figured I would just get my lenses made at Costco. But after the wonderful experience I had, in addition to learning they offer Hoya lenses (which are really good per the research I've done), I decided to have my new eyeglasses made here too. “I was having trouble seeing at various distances--reading, computer, and distance, and heard that Dr. Bossert was excellent at contact lens fitting. After talking with her she re-fitted me with a new pair of contacts to try out. If I didn't like them I didn't have to pay and if they didn't fit right or weren't the right prescription I could try another pair. I expected to get pretty much the same result of seeing only distance but she fixed everything. I can now see at all distances and don't need any other glasses now. Yes, I'm a fan.“
