I've been to multiple salons (Salon Blanc, Infuse and Salon Dada) over the past year searching for "The One". My criteria is pretty stringent- reasonable pricing, hair lightening and gray coverage w/ the least damaging agents, the ability to listen to what I want for my hair and someone easy to walaau w/ and Sarah Rose is "The One"! Look at my hair. I love it! And she found my rightful part! Chii huuu! She gave me an appointment date and time that was very convenient and I didn't have to wait weeks. She is easy to get a hold of and is a text away. The Salon is located in the Ala Moana building and I parked on the 2nd floor of the mall. I had such a great experience here. The Vibe is welcoming, friendly and somewhere that everybody knows your name. I felt really cared for and listened to. I loved it so much I decided to become a member so that I can get my roots retouched every month with no hassle at a set price. I also got a haircut with long layers and lots of movement. I'm really, really happy I found Ulupono.
In love with my new hair! I had tried to DIY highlights at home and was not liking the results at all but luckily Baya was able to fix it and restore it back to its original color as well as make my hair soft and hydrated again. She also recommended types of products to use for after care as well as tips on how to keep my hair healthy. Baya was very quick with the process while also being gentle and thorough. We recently had to evict a tenant in Kapolei, and after she refused to pick up any of her trash, we called Martin, and his team came through in a pinch. They had a roll-off delivered to our house and sent a team to fill it up. It took a whole day to remove all the garbage filling the house, but they got it done with no complaints and for a good price. We would definitely use Overit again. Thanks, Martin!
Late review!! I've seen Kathy only 2 times so far, but I can tell she is one of the best in town. Prices are reasonable compared to other salons in the area. She has an amazing personality, and does a great job at cutting and coloring.
Kathy takes the time to examine your hair before moving forward with anything and I love how the final results show up on my hair. My brown hair color matches my skin tone very well! Highly recommend if you are in town near Ala Moana and need a hair cut and/or color.

I was able to text Jordyn from her info available on her website. I initially contacted the another hair stylist about a dramatic cut, but she didn't do color and referred me to Radical Mane for that. Jordyn asked a lot of questions via text to make sure I'd thought through my decision and to understand what I was asking for. I ended up doing both appointments the same day, the color right after the cut. This was fairly easy, since both locations were within walking distance of each other. I'm happy I had two experts each doing what they loved doing best! The cut at Winam Studios was amazing, and I walked over to Radical Mane about a block away, located upstairs by a Himalayan Restaurant. I trusted Jordyn's expertise on what specific color to add to the top to add a bit of contrast between my longer locks and short hair. I've never dyed my hair before, so I think she went with as natural of a look as possible, while still adding the contrast I desired. She mostly added simple highlights to avoid a harsh line that would be evident as the hair grew out. The studio was clean and comfortable, with beautiful art by a local artist up on the walls. Jordyn is super personable and wise beyond her years. We talked about life, and she ended up recommending a book to me! Both the cut and color turned out better than I could ever have imagined! I was referred to Bridgette from a friend. I love very close to this salon and gave her a try. I have wavy hair and I am very picky with whom I go to when getting a haircut. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she gave me something similar but also made sure she asked me about length before cutting. I love Winam Studio - Hillary and Anne (colorist) are absolute geniuses and gems of human beings. The studio is incredibly warm and welcoming, and the services are top notch and very affordable. For curly girls, Hillary is your go to for an amazing curly cut that grows out well and looks good from the time she cuts it to the time you need another cut. For coloring, they use ammonia free products so it doesn’t ruin your hair, yet covers grays (or whites haha) and lasts for a few months. This studio is incredible and so are the women who run it!

I got the Japanese head spa (basic) and a haircut here. My stylist was Megumi! She did an amazing job for both services. The Japanese head spa is definitely a splurge but you are spending most of the time getting your head thoroughly massaged! Megumi asked if the pressure we was using for the massage was good and to let her know if I wanted it to be softer or harder. The bed you lay in is also amazing. It's unlike any other salon chair. The haircut process was also very good, Megumi took her time. At the end, my hair felt so soft and healthy! I'll definitely come back next time when I'm due for a cut/trim!
After going blonde for sooo many years, I finally made the decision to change it up and take my chance on going dark cherry. I put all my trust into Liv and she went absolutely above and beyond. Liv knew how skeptical I was in the beginning so we worked our way slowly, step by step, before I was able to fully commit. I love it! I wish I did this sooner... First time cutting my hair here and right from the start great service from the front desk to the barber. The barber I went with was Brian super cool guy and a really good barber and great at his craft. The vibe to the shop is excellent real vintage feel to it classic music. They even offer complimentary coffee!!. It's such a great place that I already booked my next appointment. So if guys want to experience great service this a highly recommended place. Aloha.

I usually don't care much about my haircuts. I get them because of work. I desperately needed a cut and i was on Apple Maps just searching barbershops this one stuck out and so I decided to go. I had to make an appointment for later that day which normally would be annoying but I completely understand. When I went back I was pretty whatever about the cut (usually am) but after a day or two I noticed how well of a job he did. It's been easy to style my hair and comb it. Definitely going back.
I've been coming to this shop for a few years now. Tracy has always given me a good haircut with good service. Very happy with the quality and reasonable price. Can call ahead for appointment but they take walk-in too. Get one TV to watch while waiting.
I see Yuki once a month and I honestly look forward to it every time. I pay a bit extra and get the head care package and it is 100% worth it. The salon is so calming and peaceful. Yes you could find cheaper haircuts on island, but this is the Ferrari of men’s salons - it’s in a league of its own.
This is the best barbershop in the area. I totally recommend this barbershop to everyone who is in the town area. They give great quality haircuts and pricing is good too. The staff is always friendly and attentive to each person. I highly recommend everyone to come and give this place a try!
Emily really knows her hair. She takes alot of time understanding your hair and explaining how your hair lays and best way to cut and maintain. Though, at $100 for a basic hair cut, and $80 for beard trim, razor shave and facial. Throw in a 25% tip and you're looking at over $225 + tax before getting out of there. She's a lot of fun, and she's worth the money, but unfortunately, I'll only be able to enjoy this luxury on special occasions.

PCS? Visiting on vacation? This barbershop is a no frills, fast, and great option to look sharp for whatever your needs. Aunty Lisa and Uncle are good at what they do. Their prices are REALLY AFFORDABLE for what the trade is charging these days, so be sure to tip well (as of Aug 2024, a standard men's cut - including skin fade - was $16). Not only are the prices good, but they do it fast and efficiently. I came here while temporarily staying in the Waikiki hotels and even though I've moved from the area, I still make it a point to go to that side of town for a cut. Cash preferred, but they take credit card with added transaction fee. You can also call to make appointments, which is sometimes recommended as they're a hot commodity. Parking is all on the street, you may have to drive up the side streets to find a spot. If taking rideshare over, check out the area for good eats and stores before or after your cut!

Checked this place out while I was in Hawaii. The barber who cut my hair here was Hiro. It's funny because Hiro cut my hair a long time ago when I went to Mojo barbershop and it was one of my best haircuts that I had. I could never find Hiro when I came back to Hawaii on other trips but by chance he ended up being my barber at this spot! Anyway Hiro did an awesome job again and really does a good job and has good attention to detail. Will be back whenever I'm in Hawaii!

Flew out from NJ for a cruise and had to cancel my pre vacation spray tan last minute. We were staying for 3 nights at a hotel in Waikiki. By chance I googled spray tan, and never thought I'd find someone who would literally come to the hotel room to do the spray tan. Abby was kind and professional. I have the perfect color to start my cruise.

This was my first visit but will not be my last! They have a ton of options for both natural and sunless tanning, everyone working there has been more than kind, and I feel ready for Vegas! I'm sure I will be back in the future in similar situations.
Been going to this salon for 6 years now to get a permanent straight, hair treatment and hair cut. Kevin and Sa always take care of me and use only good products. My naturally kinky hair was so dry before until I met them. I never went to any other salon since 2018. Highly recommended!

I got a pedicure from Momo-ka, she was super sweet and gentle. She is very kind. Fun conversation and great at doing nails! I paid 77 for gel and a touch up of dip on 2 nails and an extension on one. Clean and good service despite a slight language barrier. Heads up the location was a little difficult to find, it’s inside of a building hidden behind stairs but definitely worth it.
The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because I don't like feeling surprised at the checkout. This salon has a lovely owner who greets you at the door, friendly, and efficient staff. You definitely payed more for the spa experience here than the actual nails. I got a deluxe spa which included parafin wax and a 5min message on each leg which was lovely. The gel manicure also included a 2.5 min massage on each hand, which was okay. She for some reason did not put much lotion which felt like she was dry rubbing my arm. I have a reaction to acetone which I shared with my nail tech. But didn't like how she took my full set off with a single acrylic nail chipping one at a time instead of filing it down. Never in my 35 years have I seen anyone do that, it was painful and time consuming. The gel pedicure I liked, "Leah" did them. but the gel manicure was just okay. I believe her name was "Jessica". She shared with me she has been there for 3 months now so perhaps she is still learning. However, at $147 I would have liked to feel more secure with my nail tech and their techniques. I was quite surprised at the checkout to pay $147 for an acrylic take off, gel mani, gel pedi with "deluxe". Looking at my hands I would return again for the service when I needed a "treat me" day but was not so impressed with my actual manicure. Here is my manicure for reference.
Love this nail salon! My first appointment with Monica at Arena Beauty was the first nail appointment I've had in a long time. I used to get weekly manicures at another place when I lived on the mainland but the nail tech there was more focusing on churning through customers than nail care, so my nails became extremely damaged and weak. I experienced a deep crack in my nail bed and stopped getting my nails done for a while. Even after my nails healed (jojoba oil is life), I found myself anxious when thinking about getting them professionally done again. I had a trip to Japan coming up and decided to treat myself to a structured gel mani and a regular pedicure. It's really easy to book appointments online, which I appreciate. To get to the parking lot, you enter from the Young Street side. To leave, you exit on the Ke'eaumoku Street side. It's free parking but can be limited. So far I've only gone on weekday afternoons and there have always been at least a couple stalls open. If not, you could always try paid street parking. You'll need to go through a metal screen door to the second floor where the nail shop is. It's a clean place and doesn't smell strongly of chemicals, even when they keep the door closed. Sometimes they have small dogs--something to keep in mind if you have allergies or don't like dogs. They're quiet and very well behaved though! Both my pedi and mani turned out great. Everything seemed very sanitary and Monica made sure I was satisfied with the color before painting the rest of my fingers/toes (there is a fee if you change color after all fingers/toes have been painted). There isn't a TV and your back is facing the window when you're getting your hands done but I feel like all of the techs match the vibe well. They're chill if you just wanna chill but also funny if you wanna chat lol. My structured gel mani lasted weeks (including international travel) with no chips! Amazing. My second appointment was for gel removal. Monica was very careful and took her time to gently remove the gel and maintain the health of my natural nail. She also filed my nails and gave me the buffer and file to me to take home in case any snags appear. I was so relieved! It's been a month and my natural nails are still healthy and strong. So thankful for Monica and her amazing work!
This shop is a hidden gem. It can be a bit hard to find due to the location. Its tucked in by massage envy and the post office. I love going here, I am always getting my toes done and my nails. For pedicure they use disposable tools and liners to keep everything sanitized. My toes are clean and painted and my heels are soft and smooth. For my nails sometimes I do dip powdered and other times I request for GelX. They last me 4 weeks!! The ladies here also do designs and I'm here for it! Everything I leave the salon I am always satisfied

Love love love Julie! I see Julie for a pedicure and she always does a phenomenal job. I'm super picky about my toenail shape, especially the two big toes, and if they don't look the same, it'll bother me. But she always does a perfect job. If I happen to chip/break it, she can repair it so it looks looks like the other. Her pedicures are waterless (no foot soak) but I personally prefer that. I'm prone to fungus, and often times, foot baths harbour a lot of bacteria. Julie is punctual, detail orientated and super sweet!! I highly recommend her for your beauty needs!!

Easily the most consistent, high-quality nail salon on O'ahu. Kim and Lily run a tight ship, so no matter which technician works on your nails, if you get them done at Gradient Nail, you'll get compliments before you even walk out the door! Which is not to say that I don't have my favorites, of course. Jenny has been my nail girl for years now, but my manicure styles never get old, as she is always getting me to agree to try new polishes and techniques, which I end up loving. And whether it's Gel X nails or hard gel, Jenny always knows how much of what I need to provide my naturally thin, brittle nails with the support they need to last 'til my next appointment. To top it all off, she's a great conversationalist. Sometimes, the conversation is her making fun of me, sometimes vice versa, sometimes both -- always a good time. Run, don't walk, to Gradient Nail -- oh, but make an appointment first, especially if you want to see Jenny, as they are often completely booked. Once you visit, you'll understand why!

I first started coming here for my lashes with Candace and it was my first time EVER having lash extensions. I was super nervous and didn't know anything about lashes or what I wanted. She walked me through the procedures, made me felt comfortable, and explained the difference of length, thickness, and curls of the lashes. She asked me what sort lashes I wanted and the results were amazing. I have never felt so pretty before and the fall out within 2-3 weeks are very minimal. Since then she has been my go-to girl for lashes. Let me tell you, Emmy has saved my skin. Ever since seeing her once a month, my skin has never stopped glowing. The redness has greatly minimized and my skin is super hydrated. When my skin is feeling the worst and I start having small breakouts, after one session with Emmy my skin starts to improve drastically. She worked with me through my pregnancy hormonal changes and up until now postpartum. She is extremely helpful when it comes to my skin concerns and answers any questions I have about skin products and procedures. My skin has never looked and felt better. I thought Maggie was great ! My skin was super bad yall but she did her works and it was great. I have really bad discoloration and hormonal acne , I went to see her for about five to six facials every three weeks ! My skin cleared up and I just had to maintain it. Unfortunately I stopped going because it was a little pricey for me and I don't have a constant budget to get my face done all the time. Despite my financial position, I'm super thankful to Maggie for jumpstarting my cleaning routine , I desperately needed someone to really clean my face and she did it. I appreciate her so much!

I found this place near our house when my gf was looking for somewhere to get her eyebrows done. I was going to buy her a gift certificate but she looked up the prices and insisted the prices were very reasonable so she didn't want me to pay for her. Anyway, she went and came home very happy reporting that Cariann was super nice and did an excellent job including more services than she originally had planned, or at least had told me She needed. It's a small clean shop at Stadium Mall and my gf said she will continue to go there. I say that's worth 5 stars.
I have been seeing June and consistently for facial with her every month. I can tell my face has been greatly improved. She is skillful in face extraction. My blackheads and milia had greatly reduced and my skin much clearer now. She is friendly and easy to talk to and she is always so sweet! Everything from parking, communication, ambience, expertise, the studio, and the overall facial experience was great, I was so blown away. My esthetician was Anela, she is very friendly and knows her stuff! Not only does my skin feel amazing but I feel rejuvenated myself. The owner Kiku is wonderful. I've gone there off & on for waxing and massages. Lately I've been training for a trail run in May and after a long run, went to have a massage on my tired legs and sore feet. Kiku's new therapist Waco did a fantastic job starting with the soles of my feet. She also worked on some knots in my shoulders that made turning my head uncomfortable. Waco then found some tense muscles that I didn't know were bothering me until she worked on them. I walked out feeling like jello and woke the next day without the usual tightness I normally experience after some hard training miles.Kiku and Waco have both given me some of the best massages I've experienced. They provide other services as well and have promotions on their website. It's a great find that I recommend to my friends.

Giving Lena a review because it looks like no one has done so since pre-pandemic. I went to Lena in September to get my eyebrows tattooed. I was super hesitant because I saw my mom do it in the 1990s and she had an allergic reaction and looked horrible for a week. Anyway, I'm getting to the point in my life where my appearance is still important to me, but I just want to look good without putting in too much effort. Yes, I am lazy. Anyhoo Lena was quick to respond to my email inquiry about what type of brow service I should do. I was initially thinking microblading because it is less permanent and seems to be popular these days, however after consultation Lena suggested getting my eyebrows tattooed. I have sparse non-existent eyebrows. I looked totally different with makeup and without makeup, mainly because I had no eyebrows. I would go to yoga work up a sweat and come out looking like a totally different person because my brows would melt off. After getting my brows tattooed, my husband says it looks like I have makeup on all the time, that's how much of a difference it has made. Like he thought I was hot before, but now I'm even hotter because I have nice eyebrows all the time. Lena did a fabulous job. My eyebrows are symmetrical and perfectly proportioned. The process took about 1.5 hours and I felt very little pain. I went back a month later and she touched up my eyebrows to make sure they were settling in well. Highly recommend Lena! Go get your eyebrows done by her, she's truly a professional at the top of her game.

She give a thorough explanation of what she is doing as well as taking great care with my skin during the facial. I really enjoyed how she did the extractions because the women I went to in the past made that process very painful and Joanna didn’t. I will definitely be going back

I hadn't gotten a facial for years due to a bad experience at another location resulting in a horrible breakout all over my face. As I grow older, I am trying to up my skin care game and decided to try facials out again. I was drawn to organic spa due to the fact that they use all organic products. I had such a great experience! I had an anti aging facial. All the products smelled great and felt amazing on my skin. I was cleansed, exfoliated, massaged, steamed. She used red light therapy. I added Gua Sha and it felt so good! Dominika was great at explaining what she was doing with every step. I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep. Best part was I had zero breakouts the next day! Only soft, moisturized, glowing skin! Would highly recommend!
I had an acupuncture and massage session. She got out all the kinks and released some toxins and areas of concern. Very nice spa with a calm and relaxing vibe. Very professional. They offer a variety of treatments.
Aloha Sauna and Spa is a small Korean spa in Honolulu at the edge of the Chinatown area. Unfortunately because of the price of real estate on Oahu, it does not have all the features you might find at a typical Korean spa. As is customary in Korean spas, the areas are gender segregated and inside your gender-specific area you must be nude. On the women's side, there is the massage/scrub area which you'll go to if you order one of those services, and also the standard shower area, one warm pool and one cold pool, and three saunas. The men's side definitely takes the brunt of the lack of space as there is only a shower area and the massage area. There are no pools or saunas on the men's side, and there are no co-ed jjimjilbang as you might expect if you've been to other Korean spas. There is a beverage/food area but it is behind the curtain in the women's area so men cannot go there. That said, as a woman visitor, I had a nice relaxing time. The woman at the front was very kind and pointed out where everything was. She also takes the time to explain everything which if it's your first time at a Korean spa I'm sure is very helpful. The warm pool is nice and has jets, and the cold pool is ACTUALLY cold. There is a medium hot salt sauna, a hot hot clay sauna, and a medium hot steam sauna. I was a bit dehydrated that day so I wasn't able to spend that long in the saunas before I started feeling dizzy but it was nice nonetheless. I went on a Saturday in the late afternoon and there were not too many people so it was a quiet and peaceful environment in the saunas. As someone who likes going to the spa with a mixed-gender group, I wish there was enough room in the spa to really allow everyone to have the same experience. But if you're a lady bringing other ladies to the spa, this is a nice spot for relaxation. The day pass for just hanging out in the pools and saunas is a reasonable price of $35, and does not require a reservation.

My friends and I each had an amazing facial and massage combination. Facility is beautiful and calming. Staff is thoughtful and skillful. The staff give you a half body massage with your facial. Tea and rice snack following the treatment is a great treat. I'll do this again and again. The hour facial and hour massage flew by! Price is on par with other day spas but the feeling you get is better!
So this may be a strange review because we ended up not using Tina but I needed to share thoughtful and thorough she was with me. I inquired about acne facials for my teenage son and his girlfriend. Tina took almost 40 minutes to consult with me first about her holistic approach to resolving acne due to the various types and the many lifestyle and genetic factors that go into causation. I really respected her expertise and passion. She was very honest about needing the affected person to commit to the regime and that the motivation has to be theirs, not mine. She wanted to temper expectations so that I did not waste a lot of money, time and stress over this "gift" of a facial or series of facials (or so I thought). I was very surprised that she spent so much time with me, answering questions when it wasn't making her any money. In the end I totally believe in her process, but I also am convinced that it would be too much for my son to commit to since he's laissez faire about his complexion and won't be motivated enough to see this out for months and years. I am considering doing a virtual consultation on her anti-aging regime though since she is constantly learning and defuncting many popular treatments that others push that are expensive and that will actually make the skin worse in the future!!! Tina is a true gem.

Satoe is amazing! She is sweet, personable, and extremely knowledgable! I didn't even know she existed inside of Finca Salon. She has an upstairs space within. I chose the anti aging facial and I loved every minute of it. Best two hours of my life! Her website on yelp doesn't work, but I messaged her and she sent me her menu. I plan to go to her to do my lash perm next.
When you first walk in, Hiromi welcomes you in with her warm and friendly smile. She has the right touch, as she knows where your body needs the attention. I elected for the Retreat Package (2 hours of AMAZING body massage and a facial). It was the most relaxed I felt in a long time. I've had a few different massage therapists in the past, but they don't compare to Hiromi. Now, whenever I come to Honolulu, I will ONLY go to Spalani. Hiromi is THE BEST in the business!

Appointments are made via text only. Since she works solo, the atmosphere is calm and quiet, allowing me to relax deeply. I will definitely come back.

Adding to my tattoo collection - I wanted a koi. To do that I needed to cover up another tattoo. I was looking to find someone who understood the symbolism and would do a great job. Before our trip to the island Andre & I were communicating and set everything up. A meeting before the actual tattooing confirmed he had the knowledge in was looking for. He did a great job, the koi looks great and you can't see any remnants of the old tat.

Go see Lindsey! Me and a friend was at Ala Moana shopping around and we randomly decided to get our piercings that we've been wanting to do. Me and my earlobes and her helix. We walked in and Lindsey greeted us and we told her what we wanted. She had us fill out paper work and looked at and chose earrings that we wanted while she set up the room. She led us into her room and I decided to go first. She looked at my ears and showed me where she would be piercing, walked me through everything that would be happening, and I was pierced! It wasn't painful at all, it felt like a scratch. After that, my friend got her helix done and she informed us of the aftercare. After our visit Lindsey texted us and sent us a Piercing Aftercare pdf file and to let her know if we had any issues or questions. A month later we saw her again to let her look at our piercings and resize our earrings. Lindsey is amazing and I am happy I got my earlobes pierced by her. She is very professional, friendly, and very clean. I would definitely recommended her and I cannot wait to get more piercings

Once again my elderly house was in dire need, we arrived home from 2 weeks on the mainlad to a situation where our water was OFF and there had been a huge leak during our absence. I had pipe masters out today for an emergency, I had water going from two bathrooms throughout my first floor, water was everywhere. They came out quickly and were able to diagnose and fix the problem which was a blocked sewer line. They had already given me an estimate on the phone just from me telling them what was going on, and the work they did did not cost anymore than what I was initially quoted. Compared to what other plumbers charge, I thought the price was very reasonable. The plumber that actually came to the house was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely call them again if I have any issues.
I just so happened to see water dripping down under the house as the shower was running. I thought to myself: Great, I'm going to need new shower values = $$$$.Got a referral to Point Plumbing and gave them a call.Kathi asked what was going on and asked me to take some photos to show her my concern and we made an appointment for Scott to take a look.Scott came on time and looked under the house. He asked me to run the shower to see what was going on. He said the drain had come undone, he went to his truck, got brackets to support the pipe and fixed it in-a-jiffy.whew, no costly repair. I live in a 50+ year old hi-rise condo in Honolulu. I had a leaking toilet tank and they replaced the bowl gasket. I also had them replace an old toilet fill valve. They take the time to make sure everything is working properly after fixing. The plumbers are very courteous explaining everything to you. They did a great job cleaning up after the work. The price is very reasonable. I will always call Ogami for my plumbing needs. I highly recommend them!
From my experience, I'd say I really trust this business and would gladly do business with them again.I had a minor issue where we wanted to have an electrician come out to inspect our place for any issues--as we were preparing to rent out unit out.The owner called me back fairly quickly--within 30 minutes. He explained what he could do but recommended I could do many of the steps myself. He actually took about 15 minutes to tell me the important steps to check for, which he would do normally. And if we found any irregularities we could call him back and hire him.Turns out, everything he told us to check for was A-OK. And he saved us about $300-400. I myself am a person running a service business with a clientele of repeat customers, I loved the way he treated me with respect, explained things, and helped me optimize the situation. I'll definitely hire him for future jobs. I also appreciated he had some extra connections via his family for real estate things--so that perspective was really helpful.Compared to the other two electricians I called to for information to handle this issue, Enterprise Electric handled it the best and with the Customer in mind.
Overall 4.5 stars for professionalism, speed of service, and helpfulness.I was having some problems with a gfci breaker and called a handy man to take a look. While resetting the breaker helped temporarily it didn't address the issue. Since place didn't have a master breaker, I needed to get a licensed electrician to operate on the live wire. Progressive was able to quote me a price on the phone, and send an electrician out the next day. Electrician was very professional, very quick and also provided suggestions to simplify the circuits and also reduce costs. I also appreciated the due diligence in testing the different parts of the circuit to ensure all the pieces were lining up right.In the end electrician was in and out in less than 30 min. Cost for parts was $25. Cost for labor was $200, which I can understand (drive time, minimum # hours, etc), but was also much higher than the handyman-- if only i had a master breaker. With that said, compared to other licensed electricians price was reasonable, and I got numerous recommendations from people for Progressive. They get the job done on a tight schedule, so I'm a fan.
I had to replace two breaker boxes, 4 floodlights and check some wiring. I contacted Grand Hawaii Electric and glad we did. First of all, Johny is very responsive, efficient, clean and professional. I called the number listed on the web site for electrical repairs to a house panel. In the end, I suspect my issue was smaller than what the company deals with. Having said that Customer service was the best I’ve experienced in last 10 years. Within minutes I received a call back from a field worker who requested pictures of my panel. Within minutes I received a call back on where I could obtain the parts and the price on the parts.If I had a larger project this company absolutely would be my first call to hopefully work with!

After getting several other over the top estimates to replace my carpeting with vinyl, I contacted Ceramic Stile. Their estimate was far more reasonable. They offered practical solutions that didn't break the bank. It took about three and a half days to do the work. Jim's son helped other than the first day. Both are professionals, pleasant and easy to talk to, they cleaned up after themselves, didn't block our driveway with their vehicles, kept the music and chatter down although the latter wouldn't have bothered me. They came and left when they said they would. We are very pleased with the end result. The flooring is exactly what we wanted. It's really hard to have carpeting when you have dogs. There's no way to really keep the floors clean even if you vacuum regularly and steam cleaning periodically. I would definitely hire them again for flooring work.

My wife and I were referred to Kahala Floors by our general contractor, who was helping us coordinate the renovation of our 55-year-old house. One of the major challenges we were facing was the repair and refinishing of our red oak hardwood floors, which extend from our living and dining rooms into three bedrooms. We needed repairs to termite damage, construction of a matching extension of the hardwood flooring into an enclosed lanai area, and a complete sanding and refinishing of all of the surfaces. We also needed all of the quarter round base trim in all of the rooms to be replaced, and our wooden staircase to be refinished.
As soon as I met Shirley and we discussed the requirements in depth, I knew we had engaged the right company. She and her team were knowledgeable, professional, forthright, thorough, and flexible throughout the entire job. All of the needed materials were sourced without issues. Kevin and Brandon did excellent, skilled work removing and replacing damaged areas and adding the extension. Al and Ryan worked efficiently but carefully to make sure all surfaces were evenly sanded, imperfections were patched, and polyurethane sealant was applied consistently and smoothly. Chad and Cory did an artful job installing the new trim. Along the way all of our questions were patiently answered, and everyone did their best to minimize the impact of the work on family members occupying other parts of the house.
I've attached photos showing portions of our hardwood floors before, during, and after the job. We think it turned out beautifully, and we strongly recommend Kahala Floors to anyone doing a home renovation who has similar repair and refinishing needs.

I can honestly say that from start to finish Vardit Hacmon has been working with me to get my bathroom remodeled the way I wanted it in a timely manner. As we all know sometimes things don’t go the way we hope, like ordering a bathtub it arrives a day later and the drain pipes are rigged wrong. Vardit consulted me of the situation with options, gets my ok to order another the same day and boom we back in business for installation. I really think Vardit was more concerned about finishing this project on time than I was. She was always calling to make sure there was no problem with completing this job. Did I mention her workers? After interviewing several contractors and viewing works completed and in process, we chose Homeworks for a design/build project for a total replacement of our 60 y/o Waialae Iki home. No regrets- we had our share of odd requests and HW architects and interior designers found ways to accommodate all of them and provide design suggestions we had not thought of but are now grateful for. The construction team did a masterful job translating it all into reality and worked tirelessly to get everything right- even when we were admittedly picking a few nits. HTM provided a professional service by removing and grinding stumps in a single session, and the stumps were not in a very easy area to get to with a grinder. Was looking for a contractor for my kitchen and 2- 1/2 bathrooms renovation. Found YG Construction on Yelp. They had good reviews and Kai was really efficient and very easy to work with. I wanted my kitchen and one bathroom to be completed by a certain date (I converted my bathrooms from a tub to walk-in showers). Kai and the crew actually finished it ahead of schedule. The second phase was done about a month later. End result, complete makeover. Any flaws or defects, I would point them out and no problem, it would get corrected. Work crew are hard workers, very good at what they do, respectful and cleans up after themselves. I thought overall price was reasonable. Highly recommend. Very happy with the end result.

"What can be done without a building permit? We want this, this, and this. And that, that, and that." We decided to go with Atlas Construction because Jeremy and Joshua, after several meetings, translated our wants and needs to words and later to computer graphics. Every Atlas staff we met treated us with courtesy, respect and professionalism. And, the work crews were happy when they showed up to work--at 7:00AM! Unanticipated discoveries of old rotten pipes, sunken floors, collapsing rock walls, much of which were built before current building codes, were met with immediate solutions of how to repair the damage or bring the house up to code so we could get back on track with minimal delays. The construction crews were skilled, and worked well together. I remember watching them pour my cement walkway--it was like watching 6 bodies connected to the same brain. Each team understood the importance of the job they had to do. The gutter guys soldiered on during the rain to install the gutters because they knew that the cement guys were scheduled to pour the driveway cement the next day and gutters were needed to keep the rain off the newly poured cement. My project manager, Saul, was instrumental in keeping all of us on track, from making sure supplies were delivered on time, to sending the right staff on a particular day to do a specific task. He either visited the site or texted/called to make sure all was going well. Saul was pro active in making sure my family was getting what we wanted, and even sent the painters to repaint some columns and pillars that were not originally painted the color we wanted. Near the conclusion of our project, Atlas presented me with a "Care, Maintenance & Warranty Packet" containing each item that was selected during the build, including cabinet care and cleaning, plumbing fixtures & lighting, doors and hardware for doors, and Trex decking for our external stairs to we can care and maintain the items Atlas installed in our home. We started out with changing out termite eaten beams in our carport and ended up with a fully refreshed 70+ year old home. Atlas Construction delivered satisfaction on all levels.
DTC did a complete (to the studs) remodel on my 1100 square foot 1958 condo on the Gold Coast. Greg agreed to take over the project after there were major issues with the original "Contractor" and "Interior Designer". I was so grateful that Greg agreed to come in and take over the job. No small feat to try unravel what was and was not done. The DTC team was excellent and I was extremely lucky to have Jason Schweitzer as my Project Manager. Jason's attention to detail and thorough follow through made me feel like he was treating my project as if it was his own home. Billing was very detailed breakdown of materials and overages (of course i had some...!) They offer access to an online calendar update that allows you to see the time frame and progress of the project. The end result is a jaw dropping, gorgeous custom home. Ive recommended DTC to several people and will continue to do so. Words that i continue to use when describing Greg and DTC: ethical, honest, and beautiful craftsmanship. I highly recommend DTC.

High quality service and trustworthy! It was time to do an overhaul of the yard and remove piles of green waste around the property. Cris and Jane offered a reasonable price for the job and their team finished the job in 6 hours. All of the hedges are trimmed down small and manageable, all green waste and branches removed, all weeds and weed trees gone, all working areas were left clean and neat. The team works hard with proper safety gear. Best of all, Cris and his team are friendly and easy to talk to. We are planning future home projects with this company. We've used Hapa Landscaping before, and have been very happy with how the crew efficiently and cheerfully pruned and shaped our lush Nu'uanu yard. The large Pak Lan, Monkey Pod, and Java Plum trees were given equal care and attention as the myriad smaller plants and palms. All tidied up and proportional; they do an excellent job.
In this instance, though, we needed a drainage solution. Our downspouts, our concrete steps and walkway, did not carry such a volume of water - it rains a lot in Nu'unau - far enough away from the house. Thanks to Hapa's plan, and the execution of the plan, new water-catching basins, on different sides of the house, connect to a new French Drain System, underground channels that join and send all roof and walkway runoff well away from the house. My family first hired Kula's Landscaping to care for my grandma's lawn when she turned it into a rental property and moved into my parent's house. Needless to say, she has had many landscapers, but none of them have shown the care, attention to detail and level of service that Kula's has. It is true--you get what you pay for. Once we saw the quality of work they did on my grandma's property, my parents hired them to work on their yard. To date, the Mossman brothers are the only people my dad has ever entrusted (aside from himself) to care for his lawn. We truly couldn't recommend them enough.
Brian came to our house to provide an estimate within 48 hours of us requesting one. Within a week, he and his team (2 other guys) were completing the job. They trimmed back 3 large trees, thinned out a collection of palms and even removed a small dead tree we had (no extra charge). The area was as clean when they left as it was when they arrived. Easy to work with and did what we asked taking care not to "hack" our trees but gently prune and ensure the health of the trees.

i have been with uncle since 2007 and now it's almost the ending of 2024, uncle and aunty barb and Doreen has show nothing but love. yes i have went to other dentist offices but they are not like them (i would always complain to my parents that i would want to go to uncles office). every time i had a tooth ache i would come in late and UNCLE would still take time out of his resting nights to come and take of me. i went from crying and praying to not wanting to go and get checked up but now i'm more motivated to come in, not only are they my dentist doctors they are my support system, lawyers, therapist, and accountants (lol) they have helped me so much financially and they still take time out their days to call my insurance just so i can get covered (thank you aunty barb). Also thank you aunty Doreen for following up with my family too, for always find ways to fit my family in on their scheduling. if u ever need a good doctor pls come to their office, nice welcoming family and most importantly they will take care of you safely.
Dr. Rosala at Hawaii Cosmetic Dental has been my dentist since 2017. His background growing up in Germany has led to exceptional dental skills. He crafted a perfect crown for me that my daughter has only just now realized is not a real tooth. Dr. Rosala stays current with the latest methods and technology, and he even performs routine cleanings himself. I love chatting him up each time I visit, which I can’t say for any other dentist that I’ve had. My daughter also really enjoys the newly remodeled playground. My wife enjoys that there is a farmer’s market. As good as a trip to the dentist gets.
I've been going to Dr. Hatanaka for a few years now, and have nothing but the best things to say about him, his practice, his office and his location. Where should I start? Dr. Hatanaka is gentle, caring, thorough and conscientious. His wife, Adele, who runs the office is also always very friendly and helpful. In addition to my 'regular' maintenance, Dr. Hatanaka recently completed the final stages of my implant, which resulted in a perfectly integrated crown which is indistinguishable from my other teeth. He's very attentive to the patient's comfort, and his attention to detail is reassuring. My wife and I both go to him for all of our dental care, and love the accessibility, both in terms of his schedule and the ease of parking at and accessing his office. He explains what he's doing, and patiently answers all questions directed at him. His conscientiousness even carries over to his calls, following a visit to make certain everything's okay and welcoming return calls with any questions or issues. We are so happy to have him as our primary dentist.
Update: Dr. Wrobel is retiring but I met the new doctor today and she is thorough and good. We will continue driving in from the windward side to go here.

Having experienced military dental facilities for the past decade plus, I was excited to have been given a referral to an outside location. I was even more appreciative to have been able to come to Leong. The woman, Jinky, who did my cleaning and numbing shots did fantastic. I have never felt so comfortable in a dentist chair in my entire life. Honestly, the most tolerable shots I have ever received. The dentist, Veene, was also wonderful. Spoke through everything in detail prior to executing actions, spoke personally about her family and kids. Overall, a very positive experience!

I’ve had cortisone shots, physical therapy, acupuncture, and deep tissue massage to try help my frozen shoulder pain but to no avail. I could not sleep due to the pain and painkillers didn’t help. After just one Shockwave Therapy session, I felt a significant difference compared to different treatments before. With each succeeding treatment, the pain has decreased further to the point where it’s not an issue at night anymore! I highly recommend Dr. Ken! He was able to pinpoint the problem area and start my healing process.

I love Dr Sarah! I have had a few different chiropractors over the years and had to move on from them due to changes in location, insurance or scheduling. Dr Sarah is the best. She knows her stuff. She listens and hears what I'm saying and helps me develop a plan to address my issues. She tells me what stretches and exercises to do to relax and strengthen my muscles to reduce pain. We always have great conversations, too. I recommend her to everyone who is in pain.
I am not surprised that Dr. Luke has so many wonderful reviews!! Well, make way for another one!! I have suffered with my hip and leg hurting off and on, (mostly on) for years. Recently my Son-in-law recommended Dr. Luke, but I was skeptical. However, after trying so many other things, I had nothing to lose. On my very first visit, after the x-rays and just ONE adjustment, I walked out of his office with ZERO pain.....but, that Is not the best of it.! For the next 3 nights, I slept for the first time in weeks, with absolutely NO pain. To even write this review makes me want to weep. Dr.Luke is so personable, kind, and very caring. I am so grateful to God that I had taken the chance to try this venue of healing and I am So grateful to God for having Dr. Luke as my Chiropractor!!! I highly recommend his services and his professional experience and expertise. As for the cost, the life of my health is priceless!
Dr. Josuke Tanaka is hands down one of the best chiropractors I've ever been to. He's professional, approachable, and really knows his stuff. What I appreciate the most is how he takes the time to talk to you, really listen to what's going on, and work with you to come up with a treatment plan that makes sense. You never feel rushed or like you're just another appointment on his schedule... he truly cares about his patients and their progress. His office staff is fantastic too... super organized and always quick to respond. Scheduling and even rescheduling is a breeze. And I really appreciate that I've never had any headaches with insurance (I have Kaiser, which can be tricky). He handles everything on that end so I can just focus on feeling better. If you're looking for a chiropractor who's not only skilled but also takes the time to get to know you and make you feel heard, I can't recommend Dr. Tanaka enough!
I went into Dr. Berman’s office expecting a typical adjustment but was immediately greeted with a hug and a smile, followed by an hour and a half treatment. I tweaked my neck and whole upper back so bad (I woke up one morning with it messed up) and no one else could get me in that first day. But Dr. Berman responded very quick and got me in immediately. She worked out all of my tight and kinked up muscles in my neck and back and adjusted me perfectly. After the appointment I could breathe better, my face regained circulation, and I felt 1000x lighter. The pinch in my back didn’t completely go away immediately but just like she told me, it should release within 24-48 hour, and she was right. The pinch got better and better as the muscles relaxed and I am feeling great again. I recommend her to anyone with spinal and muscular issues. Thank you so much for your amazing practice!

I moved here from stateside and was anxious to find Chinese doctors and acupuncture. After calling so many and not able to get an appointment for weeks I called them and I could see them later that day. They are efficient. organized and very pleasant. I recommend them very highly!

I came here to address a sciatic-type pain that ran down my leg when I stand for prolonged periods of time. Complete X-Rays were done and evaluated and it clearly showed that my spine was way out of whack. Lower back curvature as well as more towards my neck was in need of adjustment. Paul clearly showed me where I was and where we wanted to be. After going to weekly appointments that included traction and adjustment, I was re-evaluated with another set of X-Rays. This time it showed improvement so I know we are on the right path to success. Pain down my legs has subsided (not completely gone yet) and I can stand for longer periods than before. Paul and his staff are great. You get a true sense that they care and are concerned about your well-being. I highly recommend seeing them if you have back issues.
I recently experienced issues that led me to see two different chiropractors within the past few months. I had just one session with the first, then decided it wasn't for me. With the second, initially I was hopeful, then after a few treatments, I began to feel that the chiropractor lacked experience - both professional and in life. There seemed to be so much that we didn't connect on. In addition, I did not think that the treatments benefited me enough to warrant the cost of continuing with this non-participating provider for my insurance plan, which meant I had to pay significant amounts out-of-pocket. I had been lured by diagnoses of specific problems and scientific-sounding explanations. Then I remembered going to Dr. Harada a few years back. His was a no-nonsense approach. What's more, he is a participating provider for my insurance plan. I called to make an appointment as a returning patient. I was scheduled that same afternoon. When I entered the office, it felt like coming home again. When my turn came, Dr. Harada greeted me, saying it had been a while. He's been around long enough to know what he's doing, and he speaks with confidence. I asked for an assessment of my condition, and he answered me simply. He recommended I come for a few sessions, then begin periodic maintenance. This was exactly what I was wanted. I felt great after my treatment. I look forward to the next. Dr. Harada's experience and genuine approach made all the difference.

Dr wyland has helped me a lot i had a sudden injury september 2023 that went really bad with time, tried pt, sports massage and nothing was able to help me, came one afternoon here totally numb and in pain and start getting better in 2 weeks, my case is very severe after 6 lonths of treatment i managed to be able to fucntion normally and even surf couple times but still long road to go. Very grateful with dr luke and jean.

I highly recommend calling Island Mobile Vet if you have a cat in need of veterinary care. My cat is quite timid right now since she is newly adopted, but when Dr. Osgood and Nora arrived, they were able to retrieve my cat, give her an exam, and even apply an eye ointment for my cat's infection. They were prompt, professional, and charged a fair price! It is a wonderful service that they provide.
I was preparing a stressful moving trip off island with my two cats and they were very helpful every step of the way. From preparing Health certificates that are required for airports, to treating and tending to my cats with love and care. They even double checked documents to ensure I would have no trouble during the trip to our new home. They are a wonderful team and I wished I stayed on the island to continue working with them.

We needed same day help as our cats face was swelling on one side. Surf Paws gave us a same day appointment. They were so kind & asked us a lot of questions to determine what might have happened & they were spot on with a potential scuffle with another cat who keeps coming in our yard. They did a procedure to ease her discomfort & we left with antibiotics not in banana liquid form but in a little crushable tablet! Yes the banana medicine is a nightmare with cats lol. The bill was graciously less than we'd expected. Our cat is on the mend. Thanks Surf Paws! I'll be signing up my other two pets with you. They'll be in great hands.
Sometimes you just have to be an advocate for your dog when they get older. I noticed her eyes were going bad from diabetes and I really wanted to see an eye specialist. There are two on this island and this one was preferred out of the two options. It took several months for the first original appointment, which to me seemed kind of normal to see an animal specialist. But once you get in the other appointments seem to be easier. I think the one thing I noticed is that they seemed to be kind of old school. Appointments were scheduled over the phone and manually on a appointment book. Receipts are also not soft copies either to emails. A lot of times you're leaving a voice message on their phone, but it seems like the receptionist has several jobs to do there. Otherwise, everyone there is friendly and we really liked the doctor. She was so very patient and kind to nala which we really liked and always had her best interest. Some key notes - you must have a face mask on if you want to go inside. Prior to your appointment you must wait outside until you're called in for yours. The location is on a one way street in a alleyway so it's very easy to miss.
Been coming here with all my babies for the last 9 years. I’m only writing this review now because a couple of my friends had bad experiences at their vets that I was bewildered by; I told them I had never experienced anything like that at THPC so I referred them and they made an appt immediately — and were BLOWN AWAY by how amazing the staff was. I guess I’m so lucky in thinking that having available, caring, and knowledgeable doctors and techs is normal ?❤️

I can't say enough about Lily Spa! My boyfriend and I travelled to Hawaii for the first time and while there celebrated his birthday. I knew before we arrived that I wanted to treat him to a spa day but it was so hard to find everything I wanted in a reasonable price...until I found Lily Spa. I spoke to the owner prior to arriving and asked if she would be willing to decorate the room for his birthday and she gladly said yes. We arrived and they met us in the parking lot to walk us inside. We felt welcomed and taken care of from that moment until leaving. We had a 90 min full body massage, 30 min body scrub (followed by a shower) and finished with an hour foot massage. The ladies working n us were both so nice! We are both larger people and we never felt judged, uncomfortable or like an inconvenience. They constantly checked in to make sure the pressure was ok and it was perfect! I wish I had time to go back again before I returned home, but the service was so good I would go back over an over. Honestly it's better than any massage i have received on the mainland. I carry a lot of knots in my neck and shoulders and typically I leave a massage sore for a few days I didn't have any soreness when leaving. I'm not sure hoe they managed that but 5 days later, I still feel great!

I've been looking for some relief for my back and found Hi-Med on Yelp. Read the great reviews and really liked that it is located less than a mile from where I live! There is ample parking and located next to Liliha drive inn I scheduled a deep tissue massage and Ronnie provided much needed relief Ronnie was easy to talk to. He asked some questions about what areas I was struggling with and concentrated on those areas. Ronnie asked if I wanted to try cupping? I never tried it but, glad I did. I've had deep tissue massages before and I have to tell you it hurts so good During treatment Ronnie was always careful to ask if he was massaging too hard because he could hear me groan. He found the areas I was struggling with and helped me feel better I will definitely return! I've already shared about Hi-Med to my fellow co-workers. I'm positive Ronnie and Hi-Med will receive more appointments soon!
Sharing this on behalf of my mom. She feels so much better after working with folks at Orthosport. She looked forward to her sessions with Kevin. He would check on how she was during the sessions, and was very attentive to her needs. He was positive and encouraged her to stick with my program. Initially, Mom went to Orthosport for back pain. After her sessions, she feels better and plans to continue working out there on her own. I’m so grateful for the support of Kevin and all the staff at Orthosport. Business is located at Imperial Plaza 2nd floor on right of it is Fong Eyecare Vision Center which I go to. I was referred here from my friend who works at this company. My doctor's office made a request to do my physical therapy. My physical therapist Harvey did an evaluation on what I needed to work on in terms of exercises to help with my neck and shoulder. 2 physical therapy assistants looks in my file to know what exercises that I need. There is a machine which pt assistant set up so it can massage my neck for 20 minutes and heating pad under my back. While I am doing my exercises, they are helping at least 2 other people with their exercises. After I am done with my exercise, Harvey massages my neck and back. HMSA will only allow me 10 physical therapy sessions. At last session, physical therapist will do his evaluation.
Dr. Kawamoto did a thorough evaluation of my injury and background medical history before beginning my acupuncture session. She was able to locate the specific area of pain. She completed the session by stimulating these areas effectively and giving me specific exercises to work on and strengthen before my next appointment. I have had success in managing pain on a previous situation with Dr. Kawamoto and look forward to my next session.

I thought my injured shoulder was a lost cause, however, after a session of cupping and acupuncture I felt a significant difference and over time my shoulder is starting to heal!

A very good place to get Chinese medicine treatment. Price is affordable. Very thorough and skillful. Highly recommended. Acupuncture for my back and shoulder pain relief worked very well. Herbal medicine is also very helpful.

I asked for something for the pain, she asked me where was the pain, I answered my wrist. She immediately knew which Chinese Herb I needed and explained the instructions on taking it. COME HERE FOR CUPPING THERAPY! I tried cupping for the first time because my shoulder, upper arm and neck area have been super tense with poor blood circulation, and it was the BEST DECISION! You can tell the owners are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. They're so kind and guide you through every step and make sure you feel comfortable. I had such a pleasant experience. I'll definitely be going back once a week to continue cupping.

After watching an IG clip of a customers experience with Leanne Chee and the amazing instant result he had, I decided to pay her a visit. I've been struggling with nagging pain at my tail bone area and almost constant tightness in the T-band areas of both buttocks. Consulted with Leanne, proceeded to aroom where she administered the liquid rubs and accupuncture needles to the affected areas, the procedure took close to 50 minutes probably due to the length of time I was suffering. Almost instantaneously after coming off the bed I felt no pain in the tail bone area, no tightness on the left buttocks and a slight tightness on the right side. I was offered these black capsules to take for week and by the end of that day and today's been a week, I haven't felt any pain or tightness in those affected areas. Headed back in today to work on the upper shoulder area and recheck what was done lastweek.
I called Dr. Zhong tinder if he takes same day/l appointments or walk-in but he said he’s sorry but he can’t. Regardless, I decided to go in to take a look at the clinic since I was already in the area. When I knocked on the door and Dr. Zong opened it, he laughed because he already knew it’s the same guy he was talking to a few minutes early.He was kind enough to do a quick diagnosis even tho he actually has another patient coming in. He recommended a couple of herbal meds and so and acupuncture treatment would have been great but he simple has no time.From the fre minutes of interaction I had with him, I can tell he is legit and he knows what he’s doing. What a delight to meet such a medical legend in person! Thank you again, Doctor.
Doctor Christina has been helping me over 6-7 years now she helped me avoid toxic foods that were draining me and making me sick. She fixed my body and changed my diet which improved my health 100%! She also has helped me get into my best health for Jiu Jitsu competitions which I were able to perform incredibly well and win! I don’t think I could have achieved any of my wins without her. I was a bit hesitant about taking lessons from About Driving LLC, but I'm glad I took the chance! Mr. James Onishi is a wonderful instructor. His responses were prompt and I was able to start my lessons quickly without much wait time. For a long time I was nervous on the road, but from the first lesson I felt the most comfortable I'd ever been behind the wheel. Mr. Onishi's lessons were tailored to my needs and as a person that needs objective instructions, he was able to provide clear and simple step-by-step guides and markers for skills like parking. His vehicle is very easy to drive and what I appreciate most is he let me choose where to meet and where to end each lesson. He has a very funny but level-headed demeanor (imagine your cool asian uncle). Of the schools I researched, he was the only one that offered the best in convenience (in location), availability, and price. I would highly recommend taking lessons from Mr. Onishi.
He will teach u everything u need to know for the road test..... highly suggest Kapolei!!!
