“A true yoga family… A small, cozy studio that welcomes everyone without judgment and offers courses on the entire yogic path, not just asana. I am continually deeply impressed with the years of study, training, experience and wisdom Joanna and Hal present in asana classes, Bhagavad Gita weekends, kirtan, etc. they are generous with their time and energy, and are committed to walking the path bravely, with integrity, honesty and zeal. I have received a well grounded and informed experience of every facet of yoga… A true gem of a studio. I am home.?“

“I have surveyed the market and I can tell you that Fit and Functional Is the best in individualized physical therapy. I had been essentially bed-ridden for 18 months, primarily with serious nerve damage from a fall down a long flight of steps. After many surgeries, my pain management team gave me a choice of 10 physical therapists. I stayed with my first choice for 6 months. Although highly rated, they did it "by the book" without regard to my personal situation. And it was not a private session: A physical therapist would get me started on an exercise and then get the next person started. What's more, even with medical insurance, my out-of-pocket costs were very high. Over time, I visited every place on the surgeon's list, tried some, and was eventually referred to Fit and Functional by a family member who is excellent at medical research. She recognized that Sherman and his staff had the exceptional training I needed. My situation could not be handled with a cookie-cutter approach. I have been with Fit and Functional for 10 months. First, they worked on my balance issues so I would stop falling even on a level surface. They have steadily helped me regain strength and stamina. I go twice a week and work with a private physical therapist who is terrific. I could not ask for anyone better - this includes Sherman and anyone else I've worked with. They understand MY body and what I need to do. Sherman diagnosed my lymph node problems before the medical doctors did and he adjusted my sessions accordingly. I am steadily improving and look forward to my sessions there, which, by the way, cost less than the recommended physical therapists.“
