“There is no person I trust more with my sweet pup than Sid, and no person my pup would rather be with! The level of care and peace of mind she provides is truly outstanding. Not only does she love my dog as her own but her expertise in dog training was so helpful during the early months with our puppy. We were lucky enough to call Sid our neighbor as well and each time we passed her house our dog would try to drag us there to see her! It’s such a relief knowing our dog is in such loving and capable hands when we can’t be with her. Thanks Sid!“

“Paul is an excellent and experienced trainer, kind person, and knows an incredible amount of about dogs. He taught us so much, both during our sessions and after with follow up content. He was great with our fearful and reactive dog, taking the time to build her confidence, and teaching me what to do, how and when to do it. She also stayed with him for a week or so while we were away and did very well. We plan to continue working with Paul and trust him completely!“

“We brought our Maltipoo puppy Reuben to Top Dog for their puppy head start program and have to say it’s the best decision we have made since getting him! We were worried about not being able to socialize him before he’s fully vaccinated for Parvo, as well as having time during the workday to make sure we’re also giving him the attention he deserves at such a young age.Not only was he really well socialized in a clean, safe environment but every day he would come home more obedient and with new tricks to show us (not to mention super tired which made for happy parents). The staff there are also super kind and informative, and Reuben loves them. We saw another review before we started him that joked that their puppy would leap out of their arms when they dropped him off and that’s exactly what Reuben does too now.We plan to continue with Top Dog’s additional programs - they really are the best at what they do. Highly recommend!“

“My dog has been going here for years. It is a big part of our lives. He’s so comfortable here and is always happy to arrive. He loves the whole family, as do I. I truly feel that they all take such good care of him and all of the dogs that go here. He has his best sleeps, after a day/night of being here. I HIGHLY recommend this place.“

“I have known the owner for James for over 20 years and he is a genuinely astounding, altruistic and warm hearted person. The same can be said about his business Prime Paw. I come to him and only him for any advice or training for my lil boy Bronx. This is also exemplified once you walk thru the doors. Without a doubt, the most nurturing and patient environment you can have for your dog and unlock their potential.“

“Jeff helped us so much! We adopted our dog, Ted, from the SPCA in June, and he was very fearful. He was afraid of going on walks, he wouldn't let us put collars, harnesses, or leashes on him, he would bark like crazy if we had any guests come into our apartment, and he wasn't housetrained. We had one zoom session and 3 in-person sessions with Jeff, and now Ted is about 98% housetrained, has no problem with guests, and he loves walks! He used to hide, growl, and snap when we tried to put the leash on him, and we weren't able to walk him at all for the first two months we had him, but now he actually gets excited when we get the leash out! Jeff gave us excellent advice throughout the whole process and we couldn't have done it without him.“

“Mike is fantastic! He works with our 1.5yr black GSD who is beyond energetic and a little psycho with strangers. The first time they met, she kept barking at him and he was completely unphased. He knew exactly how to handle and behave around her to get her more comfortable. The first 2 times he picked her up, she was a little wary. However, by the third time she knew what was up and looked forward to going with him. We love Mike because he took his time to talk to us and the patience he showed Nezzy. Not only does his walks help with her energy management, but she has also become so much better overall. At the park, her recall has improved significantly. On the walks, she's not as reactive anymore. Mike is hard working, no nonsense, and dedicated to his craft.“

“Our dog Abby is almost 14 years old. She started walking with Janet about 13 years ago. She usually walks 2 days a week. Janet is pretty flexible, some weeks it might be 3 days, other weeks it might be 1. On the days that Janet doesn’t take Abby, we usually walk her. When we retired, we thought that we would walk Abby every day. We realized that Abby missed Janet. When Janet comes to pick her up, Abby goes crazy. She hears her van and starts running around all excited, even after all these years. It’s also nice that Janet drives an air conditioned van where each dog has their own crate. The only one that is happier with this relationship then we are is Abby. We would highly recommend Doggie Business,“

“Just wanted to update to emphasize how wonderful, patient, and flexible they are! Our dog has had a couple of medical things come up, and we had to cancel some trips. Lucky Paws was super compassionate and understanding and willing to work with us to see if we could make things work. 100% recommend their business! They care about you as a client.“

“The best of the best. Hands down. It has been 2 years since I moved away from SF, and GGDS is one of the things I miss most. The instructors are exceptional - knowledgeable, patient, supportive. Overall we spent about 9 months here before we moved away. They taught us so much about handling and teamwork, and they helped build my pup's confidence. My pup is timid, but when we first started agility, it's like we unlocked his talent. He flourished. Seeing your fur kid learn and grow and having a blast is the best feeling. We still do agility for fun and he's a little superstar in my eyes. The agility foundation that you learn here is amazing. The option to rent the facility to practice is fantastic. Prices are so reasonable. Whether you are just starting out and have no idea if your dog will like agility or if you have some experience under your belt, I cannot speak more highly of GGDS and the instructors.“

“Amy was wonderful with my three month old blue heeler. My pup is very active and smart, and Amy gave us some key tools, tips and basic training techniques to use for my active and smart pup. She also helped with recommendations for harnesses, puppy food, socialization tips, recall tips, house training, etc. I would recommend her to any new puppy parents!“

“Our sessions with Cyd were truly transforming for us and our dog, Mochi. She taught us not only the “what” of training but the “why” behind why dogs do things which was really helpful in fine tuning her strategies to fit our family and Mochi. We went into our sessions wanting to master recall and got that and so much more out of it! Highly recommend Cyd as she’s incredibly patient, empathetic to the dog and people and so knowledgeable.“

“We've never done any type of dog training, but we were having a hard time with our puppy's high energy and never-ending biting. Youtube videos were helpful, but not cutting it. I found Sirius online through an article that recommended it as #1 best. It felt like a little bit of a leap of faith since there wasn't much info I could find and they are doing online classes now due to the pandemic. But, we were desperate and I wanted to be able to progress with my training and interact with a trainer that I could ask questions to. I had read the reviews on yelp recommending Leanne, so we signed up for Puppy I class. Within the first class we felt like we learned so much! Having the classes through zoom was actually great because there were less distractions for our puppy and we could more easily fit it into our weekend schedule without any commute time or hassle. Leanne was so welcoming, friendly, and funny. We loved the classes and saw the benefits early on of working with our puppy that we signed up for Puppy II and completed that also. I love Leanne's positive reinforcement approach which was exactly what we were looking for. Our puppy has responded really well to the approach and we feel confident in our training and I actually look forward to it. We can now communicate with our puppy which is extremely helpful. We've now completed the 10-weeks between Puppy I and Puppy II. I find myself missing it every week because I actually had so much fun doing it and learning also. I might sign up for some of their other classes to learn more tricks later on. Looking back, we can see that the training classes with Leanne were the turning point for where we were thinking, "Uh oh, what did we do getting this puppy? Did we make a mistake?" to "We love our puppy and she's so smart". Leanne was the best trainer we could have imagined for us. She went above and beyond to answer questions both in and out of class, does great demonstrating the training "games", provides explanations that explain that rationale behind the training techniques, and you can tell she knows what she is doing. Having other puppies around the same age was helpful to learn from the other dog owner's as well when they asked questions/had similar struggles. Also having a live trainer providing feedback and offering suggestions when she sees how your dog is responding is priceless. You don't get that from dog training videos online. We definitely found that having live training was worth every penny and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you Sirius for the amazing training!“

“We used Michael when we brought home our 8 week old Golden Retriever. The classes were 1 on 1 Zoom calls during COVID 19 and the results were no less effective than in person. We got our pup started off on the right foot thanks to Michael and was able to stop unwanted nipping/biting, get basic obedience commands down, and also speak with Michael about our new daily routine with the dog which helped us so much. Would recommended Michael“

“Positive Force Dog Training w Lilly has helped our 8lb Yorkie Buster sooo much. He broke his leg when he was little and it lead to a whole host of on leash aggression. We did all kinds of dog groups to help w this and Buster was always the star of the class because his issue is w stranger dogs once in a class these dogs are no longer strangers thus it did not really help us in the real world. Through the Art of Dog (his dog walkers) they told us about Lilly and at this point we were at our wits ends and had spent thousands of dollars w not much success. Positive Force owner Lilly was very detailed in her research going all the way back to talk to our breeder about Busters parents and his walkers and she interview w us very extensively and she came up w a plan just for buster that spanned 6 weeks about 4 days a week and training w us as well w him. For him she had also hired other trainers w training dogs to come to our neighborhood to work him. They had walkie talkies and throughout the neighborhood they planned times for these dogs to walk past buster on the side walk they used big dogs, small dogs and every time she used new dogs so they would always be dogs Buster did not know which is no small feat in of its self. She would send us a full report each week and go over our homework and communicated very well w us. Buster was also in love w her every time she came over he was so excited to see her. We still have work to do but he has done a 150 and that's mostly we have more work as handlers of him he is fine it's how we respond to situations we are still learning. Lilly is in high demand so it could take a while to get to you but in all of the time and money and trainers we have worked w I wish we would have known about her sooner it's worth the time and money and really w the amount of time she puts in and the other trainers and dogs she employees it is pretty cheap actually. Look no further and don't waste your time or money on anyone else trust me as a researcher we tried everything, Positive Force and Lilly has been a God send“

“Infinity stars! Shelah has been an absolute life-saver for my dog Eleanor, who underwent double TPLO surgery on both hind legs due to tearing her CCL (canine cruciate ligament) in each knee. Although her right knee healed up well with just the basic after-care from our surgeon, Ellie's left knee had much worse damage prior to surgery and was much slower to heal as a result. For reference, she was fully weight-bearing and walking normally on the right leg prior to surgery, but was 100% non-weight bearing on her left going into surgery. So although the left leg surgery was successful and she was weight bearing a few days afterwards, she was still favoring the leg and showing lots of lameness from activity, even many months after her bone healed from the TPLO. My regular vet and even Sam's clinic were less than helpful as far as providing a rehab program to follow. They also still will not see clients in person due to covid, meaning they could only talk to me on the phone and send me videos of the exercises I was supposed to be doing with my dog. So although I was following their program and advice to a T, Ellie kept having setback after setback and didn't seem to be improving. Even with very light activity, she would still hold her leg up sometimes and not want to put weight on it. I felt lost and that my pup might never be able to run or hike off-leash ever again. Enter Shelah - she comes by in person and is an absolute wizard at reading Ellie's (and my) body language. She designed a custom exercise/physical therapy program for us and also was able to train ME on how to train Elle to do the exercises properly. I actually work with dogs for a living (I'm a dog walker) and am well versed in training methods, but training a dog to execute specific physical therapy exercises is a totally different ballgame. Shelah is able to watch me work with Ellie, and give me simple pointers/instructions in order to get optimal results with each training session. We had to start from square one with really basic exercises, as the ones given to me by Sam's clinic were (to my surprise!) far too advanced. But, with consistent work we've been able to get Ellie's leg much stronger, to where she can finally hike and run off leash without lameness afterwards. It makes me tear up to have made this breakthrough and for Ellie to finally have her quality of life back, after almost two years going through surgeries and rehab. I cannot say enough positive things about Shelah. She is clearly an expert and has a wealth of knowledge, but is also just a phenomenal human being and clearly cares deeply about each dog (and human) she works with. She is always available to help with any questions that pop up, or snags that we run into along the way. I shudder to think where Ellie and I would be without Shelah. I can't recommend her highly enough!“

“A competent and respectable vet service operating in San Rafael. It is commonplace that vet appointments are often very difficult to arrange in a timely matter which is not the case with this Vet Clinic. They were relatively quick to get us seen and the clinic is clean and pretty and well organized. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and willing to educate as well as treat. The only problem I have with this clinic is a problem I have with the entire vet business as a whole: for a relatively simple visit I was charged steeply. It's so expensive just to be seen.Maybe I'm wrong but I miss the days when vets tried to save their customers money by avoiding unnecessary half measures and all the nickel and dime extras that you couldn't dream would be on the bill at any point during the visit. But this is definitely a great vet service and I recommend them.“

“Excellent dog day care. The staff really care and are super knowledge about dog behavior. They are patient, personable, and responsive. I am a first time puppy owner and needed a day care I could trust that was clean, responsive, playful and educational for my pup. I researched four different companies and hands-down Petcamp is the best. Highly recommend! Big thank you to Jason, Lennon, and Mike! 7/24, had knee surgery last week- opted into the PetCamp Shuttle! Wow. On time, responsive, and personable. So glad PetCamp exists!!“

“We boarded two cats here for the first time. It was important for us to find a secure and safe facility as one of our cats is an escape artist. We were able to tour the place beforehand. The place is clean, has lots of natural light, and the rooms are well appointed. We were happy with the experience and will likely book at Mau House again in the future ?.“

“The entire staff at DPT is incredible. I would recommend highly to anyone with a new dog.I adopted a 7 lb chihuahua mix around 4 months ago. When I brought him home he was scared of everything and couldn't walk on a leash or go up and down stairs. After about 24 hours I was convinced I had ruined my life and found DPT online. Natasha was on the phone with me as soon as I sent an email and she enrolled my dog in Dan Camp the same day. When I returned two weeks later I was amazed at the progress the trainer had made. My dog was walking (perfectly) on a leash and going up and down stairs like a pro. Now we walk 2.5 miles everyday and he LOVES to run up and down the stairs in my apartment. My once fearful dog happily joins us when we go out to eat, go shopping, or walk down Chestnut Street. After 5 weeks he completed camp and was sent home full time but started to develop separation anxiety (my partner and I live in a small apartment and WFH) and cried anytime he was in the crate during the day or left home alone. This behavior was disturbing to my neighbors, so once again I found myself reaching out to Natasha for help. They enrolled my dog in another week of camp (at no additional cost to me) and I received a personal phone call from Dan with advice on how to change my behavior and stop this issue. A couple of weeks later and it's like I have a new dog at home. Yesterday I was able to leave all afternoon and my dog didn't cry once. The team at DPT are experts in dog behavior and they really care about dogs and about their customers. I know 100% that when I drop my dog off for training or boarding he is in the best hands. This program is worth the investment and I am so grateful to Natasha, Dan, Bryn, Sidney, and all of the trainers and staff for their help. They truly go above and beyond and thanks to them my dog is now thriving :)“

“When I entrusted my puppy, Leo, to Isabel at Spectrum Canine for training, I had high hopes but was naturally a bit anxious. Now, I can confidently say that choosing Isabel and Spectrum Canine was one of the best decisions I've ever made for my fur baby.Isabel is a true gem in the dog training world. Her expertise and passion for what she does shine through in the remarkable transformation she has brought about in Leo. He used to be an overly enthusiastic pup, always pulling on the leash and barely able to contain his excitement. Now, he walks with a calm, focused demeanor, heeling perfectly and giving me his full attention. It's like night and day! What stood out most, apart from the excellent training, was Isabel's approachable and responsive nature. Whenever I had questions or concerns, she was there with helpful insights and reassurance. It's clear that she doesn't just train dogs – she builds relationships with them and their owners, fostering a supportive community. The results speak for themselves. Our walks now are a joy, with people frequently stopping us to express their admiration for Leo's behavior. He's become a model of canine discipline, maintaining his composure even when other dogs around him lose theirs. In short, if you're considering a boarding school for your dog's training, look no further than Spectrum Canine, and especially Isabel. Her skill, dedication, and remarkable results have earned my wholehearted recommendation. She doesn't just train dogs; she transforms them, and their owners' lives for the better.“
