“Our pup completed the puppy 1 and we then continued on with puppy 2. We've seen huge improvements to her obedience and overall behavior. There is plenty of time during class to ask any questions not covered by the curriculum.“

“We truly consider the Barkmont part of our dogs family. I am so thankful to have a group we can trust when we go out of town to take care of our dog. She always runs right into the door when we drop her off and comes home exhausted from all the fun she has. They are very communicative about policy changes and we respect their choices they make to keep our dog safe. With the increase in kennel cough this winter we were nervous boarding her but they assured us they were consulting with vets and made decisions to protect our pup. We really like that we can see the dogs playing during the day on the webcam and that they also seem to make good decisions about when to put them in quiet time to nap. Our dog does often come home smelly from all the playing, but we've just started adding on a bath to her reservation and she comes home smelling fresh and ready for a long nap. When we have had issues where our travel plans are delayed they are very accommodating and kind and let us pick up later than we expected to. It's just so much less stress knowing we have this understanding group of amazing people taking care of our dog when we are gone.Truly love the Barkmont and so thankful we found them.“

“Randy and the staff at The Pack are awesome. The set up there is super cool and you can immediately tell how much Randy cares about the dogs & the humans when you meet him! The Pack is quick to respond to questions and reservation requests and incredibly accommodating to any special needs your dog may have. One of my dogs is a super anxious gal and Randy cared for her so well. Both my dogs boarded recently at The Pack and Randy was super flexible with our return time after our flight got delayed.“

“We had a great experience with Dog Squad Training. Les was awesome! Very knowledgeable and patient (with the dog and the humans). To be honest, the training was more for us than it was for our pup. We learned about ways to make communication (commands) more clear for our dog and picked up strategies that we can continue to practice. I highly recommend Les and would gladly work with Dog Squad Training again.“

“I have known the owner for James for over 20 years and he is a genuinely astounding, altruistic and warm hearted person. The same can be said about his business Prime Paw. I come to him and only him for any advice or training for my lil boy Bronx. This is also exemplified once you walk thru the doors. Without a doubt, the most nurturing and patient environment you can have for your dog and unlock their potential.“

“My dog has been going here for years. It is a big part of our lives. He’s so comfortable here and is always happy to arrive. He loves the whole family, as do I. I truly feel that they all take such good care of him and all of the dogs that go here. He has his best sleeps, after a day/night of being here. I HIGHLY recommend this place.“

“My mom doesn't usually trust most groomers & is pretty picky when it comes to who we trust our dog Lilo with, BUT we found Cindy here on yelp and we both love how she did such an amazing job!! I highly recommend Cindy, she is experienced and was very patient with Lilo, giving her breaks in between to make sure she didn't get overwhelmed. When I picked up Lilo, she seemed very happy, we will definitely be taking her to get groomed here again !!“

“Karin is amazing! She is a true dog whisperer and extremely diligent/ knowledgeable AND hilarious fun throughout the whole process. Our puppy is a rescue with some real issues, she was honest and frank about who he is and provided a path forward. We are forever grateful for her care and support, without her training and mentorship we may not have been equipped to keep our pup. Thank you!!“

“Shae is truly a miracle worker and the most knowledgeable dog trainer!I recently adopted a dog through a rescue. I wanted to set myself up for success, and I sought Shae’s services right away. Within the first few minutes of meeting our dog, Shae immediately had a good assessment of our dog’s personality and had her complete attention. Shae gave us so many helpful tips to improve the relationship and training of our dog. It’s only been 3 months with our new dog, and every week we’ve seen such a huge improvement in her behavior, and it’s all thanks to Shae. It’s so clear that Shae loves dogs and is passionate about training them. Don’t wait one second and book a session with Shae. Your life and relationship with your dog will change for the better!“

“Maribel has been very attentive to our dog's needs when we have boarded her at her home. She called us to troubleshoot when our pup was eating very little (a bit of away-from-home anxiety) and went above and beyond to entice her to eat with some extra treats. It's great to know the dogs get beautiful walks in the woods, and to feel they are in such good care.“

“Excellent dog day care. The staff really care and are super knowledge about dog behavior. They are patient, personable, and responsive. I am a first time puppy owner and needed a day care I could trust that was clean, responsive, playful and educational for my pup. I researched four different companies and hands-down Petcamp is the best. Highly recommend! Big thank you to Jason, Lennon, and Mike! 7/24, had knee surgery last week- opted into the PetCamp Shuttle! Wow. On time, responsive, and personable. So glad PetCamp exists!!“

“I'm so pleased to be able to update this review from 2010. How time flies! Our dear Penny whom Shasta helped us with back then passed away in 2015. We started working with Shasta again in 2017 when we got our new pup, a border collie rescue. He came to us emaciated and poorly socialized, needing love and positive experiences to bring him out of his shell. Shasta gave us much-needed training advice, and from there her staff started walking Hugo on group walks, which he's done once a week since 2018. He enjoys these walks so much; they provide wonderful socialization experiences. All the treats and training in the world can get a dog so far, but a strong adult with a great pack really helps with confidence-building and calm. Hugo walks with Toni, who send us pictures of him each week with his crew. I can tell that Hugo is happy with Toni and his pack: as we release him to the car (to maintain social distancing), our pup who usually does not like to leave my side will happy run down the stairs to greet him and hop in the car! Shasta also runs Puptown for boarding. We've only needed this service once, but having been in there and knowing Shasta for so many years, I know that this would be a great resource as well. It has been a pleasure seeing Shasta grow this business for over a decade, and watch it continue to provide the same excellent service it did in the beginning. If you need training support, especially with difficult dogs, a weekly walking group, or more, Bow Wow is a great choice. Review from 2010 I love Shasta. She has walked our dog for well over a year. She been amazing. We have worked with four dog walking companies, and Shasta is a cut above. As a handler, Shasta knows dogs and dog behavior. We switched to her when we were having some behavioral problems with our dog at home, especially after walks. Shasta worked closely with Penny and we've seen huge improvements in her behavior. Last year our dog needed surgery; Shasta worked with us on her rehab, and continues to be conservative with her play to ensure that she stays strong. As a business person, Shasta has been great. She handled our initial interview, paperwork, and invoicing professionally. We LOVE her daily dog walk "reports"--these little report cards let us know how our dog was feeling, what she did, and (sorry for the detail) even if and how she pooped! Who could ask for more? Our dog loves Shasta, responds well to her, and behaves well at home after a walk with her. That's what matters most.“

“We had our first session with Pete today. Already, he has worked wonders with our very reactive Kerry Blue Terrier. He uses a common sense and individualized approach to training that incorporates both positive and negative reinforcement. He is kind, gentle, and respectful of the dog while being very effective. It is clear that he loves his work and connects in a positive way with our four legged friends“

“Courtney is amazingly knowledgeable and thoughtful in her teaching. She is also SO patient (we have a pug puppy and he requires a lot of patience imo). The directions she gave were so useful for everyday life with our little guy. She asked questions I would never have thought of that helped our guy to have a happy puppy life with a good foundation for being a good boy in adulthood. Highly recommend and am so thankful we got to work with Courtney.“

“We boarded two cats here for the first time. It was important for us to find a secure and safe facility as one of our cats is an escape artist. We were able to tour the place beforehand. The place is clean, has lots of natural light, and the rooms are well appointed. We were happy with the experience and will likely book at Mau House again in the future ?.“

“The entire staff at DPT is incredible. I would recommend highly to anyone with a new dog.I adopted a 7 lb chihuahua mix around 4 months ago. When I brought him home he was scared of everything and couldn't walk on a leash or go up and down stairs. After about 24 hours I was convinced I had ruined my life and found DPT online. Natasha was on the phone with me as soon as I sent an email and she enrolled my dog in Dan Camp the same day. When I returned two weeks later I was amazed at the progress the trainer had made. My dog was walking (perfectly) on a leash and going up and down stairs like a pro. Now we walk 2.5 miles everyday and he LOVES to run up and down the stairs in my apartment. My once fearful dog happily joins us when we go out to eat, go shopping, or walk down Chestnut Street. After 5 weeks he completed camp and was sent home full time but started to develop separation anxiety (my partner and I live in a small apartment and WFH) and cried anytime he was in the crate during the day or left home alone. This behavior was disturbing to my neighbors, so once again I found myself reaching out to Natasha for help. They enrolled my dog in another week of camp (at no additional cost to me) and I received a personal phone call from Dan with advice on how to change my behavior and stop this issue. A couple of weeks later and it's like I have a new dog at home. Yesterday I was able to leave all afternoon and my dog didn't cry once. The team at DPT are experts in dog behavior and they really care about dogs and about their customers. I know 100% that when I drop my dog off for training or boarding he is in the best hands. This program is worth the investment and I am so grateful to Natasha, Dan, Bryn, Sidney, and all of the trainers and staff for their help. They truly go above and beyond and thanks to them my dog is now thriving :)“

“Our dog has been boarded at Dog Balancing owned by Terry twice now, each time for over 2 weeks. We couldn't be happier with the experience and will continue boarding our dog with Terry and are grateful for Terry providing great care to our dog and sharing with us science-backed evidence and advice for dog care 1. Communicating and coordinating with Terry is super easy and straightforward. With years in dog care business, Terry has established a routine that works for everyone and he does leave room for the unexpected and give you enough flexibility 2. Terry takes really nice mugshots of all the dogs and posts on the dog balancing Facebook page here: facebook.com/p/Dog-Balan… so you get to see your baby when you are away (not daily posts, but honestly, you don't want to leave your baby at a place that you had to check on him/her all the time)3. Terry regularly posts scientific papers and educational reads about dog care on the Facebook page. We find this information incredibly useful and have implemented some changes into our dog's daily routine. Terry's extensive experience as a certified dog trainer and behaviorist shines through. 4. Dog care is getting really expensive and unaffordable in the Bay Area. Terry, with years of experience in the business and presumably many returning customers, could have asked for higher rates, but that is not the case. In fact, Terry has kept the rate very reasonable. This is a huge relief for us since we typically had to board our dog for a longer period of time (typically 3-4 weeks) when visiting extended families oversees, which means the rates accumulate quickly to an amount that you start regretting having a dog. We were so happy and again relieved that our dog can stay at a comfortable, safe and affordable place without the stress of traveling. 5. Most importantly, our dog has always returned from Terry's place happy and unchanged, which reassures us of the excellent care provided. Note for dog parents concerned about crates: We have seen a couple of dog trainers as our dog grow up - they all told us the same thing - a crate is and should be used as a safe place for dogs. Terry does call that out before boarding to make sure you and your dog are comfortable with the dog staying in a crate when they are not active“

“Metro Dog has been the perfect boarding option for my dog, Willow. She has some anxiety but does better when she is around other dogs while we are away. The staff at Metro Dog were incredibly thoughtful and intentional about assessing Willow's fit for the social program, and they always centered on what was most responsive to her needs. They guided me through a process to get her ready to be boarded with them, resulting in a successful boarding experience. Whether I have her in daycare or being boarded, I trust Metro Dog and their judgment about what will help her be most successful and comfortable, which keeps my mind at ease.“

“We had been planning a trip of a lifetime - 7 weeks abroad - and one of the most important things was also one of the hardest things to do and that was to ensure our 1-year old sibling cats, Daisy & Spunky, would be in a secure and caring environment while we were away from home.We found there are many places that board cats in “2’Wx2D’x2H’” stainless steel kennels with 1 or possibly 2 hours of daily “out of the kennel” play time. Although they may be clean and secure, that type of a “confined” environment would have been difficult for our cats to endure even if just for a weekend (especially for Spunky who is very sociable and inquisitive); 7 weeks would have been grueling for them. They would probably be wondering, “what did we do to be abandoned like this?”.Thank goodness we found Pam & Critter Pet Care! The design of the cat house is wonderful and the size and multi-level layout of the kennels, some of which could also be expanded to double wide for bonded pairs like ours, allows cats to “hunker in” and feel secluded, or to peek out through their window for watching birds at the bird feeders outdoors. Cats also get to explore and commingle or just chill in the common areas, or they can trek/jump up to the many perches mounted high along the walls of the cat house. We missed our cats to pieces but really appreciated how Pam automatically kept us updated with photos and info about what they were doing throughout our 7-week trip. It gave us great peace of mind and our reunion confirmed how well they were cared for during their stay. We will not hesitate to leave our beloved Daisy and Spunky in Pam’s care the next time we plan a vacation or require boarding services. Thank you very much, Pam, for providing such an important service, a cozy and engaging boarding environment, and for truly caring about the well-being of our pets. . . you’re the best!“

“Great veterinarians. The Dr.'s are all nice and care about my dogs health and happiness while we're there. The receptionists are very friendly and always give my dog attention, plus they're good with keeping animals separate if they're not good with other animals. The vet techs always take good care of her and she comes out happy. We go in often for anal gland issues...one tech keeps her happy on the front end while another does the dirty work. They always let me know how it went which I appreciate. I took her in for a bump removal surgery once and they have a separate room for the dog to recover in, not a crate. Plus there's a parking lot! Thanks for taking such good care of Lulu and making her feel loved while we're there.“

“Doctor is patient and gentle. Very easy to talk to, and took his time with each of my dogs. Never rushed them and was very considerate of their autonomy. There was no pushing for unnecessary testing or procedures. One of my dogs needed a blood test and they processed the results right then and there. I waited less than 15 mins in the room for results. Doctor went over the results in the same appointment. I was very impressed with that quick turnaround. We are happy new patients of this practice!“

“We're so lucky to be part of the Park Centre Animal Hospital community! The staff is consistently attentive and nice. They are very thoughtful and check-in after a vet visit. Invoices make sense, you don't feel like you're getting charged for things you don't understand. Only reco I have would be to get pics of our pup while he is with them boarding! Especially when we have to leave him longer than a week, it's nice to get photo updates!“
