Came in for a blow out and had a wonderful experience. The establishment is very clean and cute. The staff were all so friendly. They were getting very busy as it was a Friday, but I noticed they were still so kind to everyone who walked in. They did a great job with my hair. I have very thick hair and there is a lot of it. I end up disappointed as I have a hard time finding someone who can do my hair well in San Diego. Trust me I have tried so many different places with the "master stylist". I usually end up going to LA or OC to get it done. The woman who was doing my hair I could tell knew what to do right away. She was using a round brush the correct way and was emitting the proper amount of pressure/force to tame my mane. I went in looking like Mufasa and came out with shiny smooth hair. It is still looking great a few days later! I am so happy. Also the prices are so reasonable. I will definitely be returning for regular blow outs.

Jules is the most incredible human I have ever met. She makes you feel so comfortable during your wax appt. I go to her for my Brazilians and I will not be going anywhere else. She's thorough, personable, talented, and prices are so reasonable!! She's located in La Jolla. The studio is clean. There is usually plenty of street parking. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Just trust me and give this place a try. :)

-Skill: I've been a loyal customer for years and never had any irritation or infection. The service I've been having is consistently professional.
-Value: Although it depends on individual's eyelash growing cycle, the extension I get here always last longer than I expected (3.5-4 weeks). Plus the price is reasonable compare with other places in La Jolla.
-Beauty: One of my eye is rounder and another is more hooded and slant. I had been considering to get a cosmetic surgery before I found The Pretty Box. Fria was able to work her magic and make the shape of my eyes looks even. I still don't know how she did it but I LOVE the result.

Alina has done both my and my 70 year old mom's eyebrow microblading and I highly recommend!! She truly has an eye for perfection when it comes to shaping the brows and makes them still look natural. My mom had tattooed eyebrows before and she was able to correct the color and previous work. She uses a great numbing gel before so you hardly feel the procedure. Amanda and her assistant did the hair and makeup of my dreams for my wedding day, as well as the ladies in mine and my husband's family. I asked for a low, messy bun for my hairstyle and Amanda delivered with the most beautifully intricate (but somehow still looked effortless) updo. As someone who doesn't wear much makeup, it was important to me to have a natural, glowy look to my makeup and Amanda took care to do just that. The shop in La Jolla was super clean with such a cool/calming vibe and energy around it. The staff and other artists were super welcoming and personable when it came to conversation. And finally my artist and tattoo itself. The carefulness and complete attention to detail Mirtha did with the design and then executing it on my stomach, it was simply amazing. My husband and I truly had a wonderful experience with the Persian Rug Bazaar. Not only did they clean my rugs throughout but one of my other rugs had some damage to it due to my dog and they fixed it without charging us at no cost. I highly recommend this rug bazaar. I had an appointment at Sarah Winter Dental on Ivanhoe Avenue in La Jolla yesterday and it was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had at a dental office. I was warmly greeted by Shelby and Amy and the front desk. Within minutes the Dental Assistant Alex came and got me and brought me back to the treatment room. Within seconds Dr. Sophia Aramoon, DDS was next to me explaining what procedure I would be undergoing that morning. Before I knew it the procedure was over, a permanent filling being put into place replacing a temporary filling, and I was on my way. Absolutely no pain whatsoever and it was over before I knew it. Thank you Alex and Dr. Aramoon! The team at Sarah Winter Dental on Ivanhoe Avenue in La Jolla is second to none. I recommend anybody at any age go see them for any of your dental needs. They are the best in the business and I will recommend them to anyone who asks me. Finally, the office itself is well thought out and beautifully appointed. Well done, Dr. Winter!
The office staff is very welcoming, helpful, and proficient. I enjoy the overall vibe of the office. Dr Ripa is knowledgeable and talented and made me feel comfortable the entire time he did a filling and a crown. I am happy with my choice to move to Bird Rock Dental!
I have been seeing Dr. Turner since she took over the practice from Dr. Miyashiro. She is genuine, caring, and highly professional. I trust her judgement and skill. She is also one of the nicest people I have met. There are lots of dentists out there, but she is unique in the combination of integrity and knowledge.
Dr. Grey Cunningham does not mince words, but he does do the most gentle, painless, and caring dentistry. Plus, he went out of his way to accomodate my schedule and make sure I could get the work done as quickly as possible. I am one of those dental phoebics. I needed extensive work, and the only thing that really hurt was my pocketbook (due to my own neglect). I highly recommend this extraordinary dentist, and a special shout out to Amanda who runs his front desk and treats you like you are her best friend.

Everytime I have any type of pain, one appointment with CJ is all I ever need. I’ve tried literally everything (massage, machines), and I never feel better than after an adjustment from CJ. I basically crawled in to see Dr. Koeppen as threw my back out so bad I could barely stand up let alone walk. I was traveling from out of state and needed to get back home and after 3 sessions, I was able to walk upright and feel a ton of relief. He works miracles. I would highly recommend seeing him for any urgent or chronic issues. He's amazing, and I am a hard person to please :)

I would like to share my massage experience with Santiago.He is very professional and caring in his approach to you. He listens to you and your issues and will ask you the type of massage you like.Once he starts massaging, his fingers and hands find the areas of your body that need attention and he works on that area(s). For me there were several additional muscles that I was unaware needed attention.I have learned from Santiago that I don’t need that intense pressure to accomplish the relief of my back discomfort and relaxation I need to stay functional.He is AWESOME and I highly recommend that you try him out! You won’t regret it! I will be receiving my 4th massage session after the holidays and I am looking forward to it!!!
Today I had the pleasure to revisit Scripps Endocrinology Dept. I want to up date an past review on Dr. Chang. I wrote a harsh review on her a few years ago with regards to my disabled son. Today, the fellow who is there was paired with her. We talked after I had my visit. It took a lot of courage for her to bring up my review. She was very fair and I must say my care with her today was great. Sometimes raising a son with a disability can be tough. Maybe I should of been more direct with communicating my concerns. Today we spoke about it and I must say I have a new respect for her. The care she gave me personally was terrific. It's not my attention to hurt anyone. I will be more careful with my words in the first. I plan on staying with her for my future health
As a debutant in chiropractic care, I can say that the professionalism and attention Dr Goldstein and the team were great. I have had tension in my back a a long time, and went through spine and neck readjustment with him: I feel really great now! My activities have had a different turn with a more relaxed body.

I recently had the pleasure of attending yoga classes at Riffs Yoga Studio in Bird Rock during my business trip to San Diego, and it was an experience I won’t forget.The atmosphere at Riffs is simply fantastic. Practicing yoga outdoors surrounded by the beauty of nature was truly uplifting and refreshing. What stood out to me the most was the approach of the instructors. They emphasized the participant as the main instructor, with themselves as the secondary guide. This philosophy underscores the importance of listening to your body and honoring its needs, which I deeply appreciated. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised to find that sound healing was integrated into every class I attended, adding an extra dimension to the practice and enhancing the overall experience.Throughout my visit, I had the opportunity to attend a variety of classes led by six or seven different instructors, and each one was exceptional. Their expertise and passion for yoga shone through in every session, creating a welcoming and motivating environment.Without a doubt, I’ll be returning to Riffs Yoga Studio the next time I’m in San Diego. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a rejuvenating yoga experience!

Sylvia is a fantastic massage therapist! I love both her traditional body work (she can definitely find and release those tight muscles), and her lymphatic drainage style massage. It is a super relaxing meditative experience. She's kind, thoughtful, and follows up quickly. The office is calm and peaceful and comfortable. Really, there's nothing not to love!!
This was truly a DEEP massage, very relaxing. I like the variety of style techniques they offer in their combo massage. Very worth, and they have later hours (6pm time slot), which is a plus for someone who has a typical 8-5 schedule. Plenty of street parking. Great service! I'll be sure to come back again. :)

WOW! Everything about Mahina Massage and Wellness is superb. During the 90 minute deep tissue massage, I marveled at how strong Vanessa's are and how she deeply but gently massaged the tension out of my body. The room, the music, the essential oils make you feel as though you are in a 5 star spa. Generally after such a massage, I am sore. Amazingingly, the day after, I felt so relaxed as though Vanessa just finished another massage. Feeling like a different person and planning on Mahina being my go to..........What a sweetheart!

The 4 hands massage is amazing. I'm a professional massage recipient and this is by far one of the best establishments for massages. I love deep tissue and it's a hurt so good experience. They find spots I don't even realize are in pain or needing care. They are the best. I fly all the way from Texas and make this place one of my first 2 stops.

I am almost 50 years old and I have seen hundreds of massage therapist in my lifetime and this man is hands-down the best massage therapist I have ever had. I am so grateful that the acupuncturist recommended him. He actually listens to the areas that I would like for him to focus on. He knows the the human anatomy and it comes natural to him to solve issues that I’ve had with my lower back. I always feel very safe and comfortable with him. Walked in for an appt today and got lucky with a last min massage, the lady was very sweet and it was honestly the best Thai massage I’ve had (better than all the much more expensive ones I’ve had). I came in with hip pain and walked out pain free. She really understood the body and where to place pressure in a precise and personalized manner. The place also felt very clean.
My fiance and I got a couples massage today and it was amazing! We booked the deluxe couples massage and the massage started promptly with a foot soak, glass of champagne, and chocolate. The massage was amazing and tailored to our individual needs. The space was clean and relaxing! We will definitely be back!
Absolutely recommend The Bird Rock Massage Studio. With the new location opening in Clairemont, it is super convenient to get regular massages and keep up with self-care. Newly constructed, the space offers a relaxing and tranquil environment with highly skilled therapists. I'll definitely keep going on a regular basis!

Mano and his crew of physical therapists and support personnel have done an outstanding job helping me through nearly two years of rehab, after both hip and knee replacement surgeries. The first time I saw Boaz, I had dislocated my SI joint and could barely walk or move. He fixed it straight away and I left his office significantly improved. Unfortunately, I have done the same thing to my SI joint a number of times since and I always know Boaz will correct the problem and make my back feel better. Because of sports and work ergonomics, I also get significant upper back and shoulder tightness/pain. My favorite sports are swimming and tennis and I really want to stay active – Boaz always manages to make everything feel better and keep me moving. I trust in his expertise because he always knows exactly what is wrong and how to correct it. I highly recommend him.

After having a baby and the daily stress that life will throw at you daily, I started experiencing back pain that I’ve never in my life felt. Sara is truly talented. I've been seeing her for about a year for physical as well as hormonal issues and I definitely see improvement. She takes her time to understand your issues and is extremely intuitive in using her gifts.
