“Pheakdey is amazing. I've followed her from a previous salon in Oakland (where I live) to her studio at Sola in El Cerrito. Although she used to be located 2 blocks from me, the distance won't stop me from using her for all of my hair care needs! It's hard to find a hair stylist that you trust. She dyes my roots every 7 weeks and cuts my hair every 14 weeks. She knows exactly what I like and I always leave extremely satisfied. She's also done eyelash extensions for me that last for a long time, and the experience was very peaceful and relaxing compared to other places. Not only is she highly skilled, but she's a pleasure to talk to and I always look forward to spending time with her. She is the sweetest and has such a good heart. I highly recommend Pheakdey for hair care and eyelash extensions!“

“Nicole is an all around all star and someone you can trust 100% to make your hair and makeup dreams a reality. I've gone to her twice for a haircut, once for full balayage, and once for toner. Before I went in for a toner it had been six months since we had done color and I was still getting compliments from people on my hair color! Most recently I decided to book Nicole for my birthday updo and makeup and she was phenomenal! I was a bit worried because the appointment was at 9am and my event wasn't until 3pm. She utilized a special sewing technique for the loose curls look I wanted and it lasted all day through the night. Before I went to bed I took out the pins and my bun was still intact when I woke up because of the sewing! Magic! I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup. “I saw Ellie yesterday after lunch at Comelones Tacos. Her prices are 75 dollars for a haircut. She was prompt and was serving two people when I saw her. My appointment was at 12 noon and that is when I sat in her chair. The salon itself is very small with one chair for waiting clients. There were three stations and all three ladies including Ellie looked like true professionals. I didn't see any chatting or joking but complete attention to their clients except for Ellie who checked her cellphone several times and also talked on her cellphone while cutting my hair. Since I paid 90 (after a 15 dollar tip) for a 22 minute service, I felt a little cheated. Ellie washed my hair for five minutes from 12:00 to 12:05. At 12:22, I was outside getting into my car which meant that my haircut was 17 minutes. 90 dollars for a 17 minute haircut just doesn't feel right. My haircut was very basic, a few layers in the back and I didn't really see much layers framing my face which she promised. I would have liked a little more detailed framing. I will see how my hair grows out but I am unsure I will come back. Also, Ellie doesn't take credit cards so I had to pay her cash which she appreciated.“
